It Is Your Birthday:

"God! Can we just decorate the entire room?" Jason complained, as he's putting up decorations in the Schrute residence.

"Hate to break it to you, but Schrutes don't exactly celebrate birthdays," Dwight said to Jason.

"Schrutes don't celebrate birthdays? What type of family are you guys?" Jason asked out of bewilderment.

Jason's talking head: Honestly, Schrute and I get along pretty well. The only minus factor about him is his family. Don't get me wrong. I respect them for valuing agriculture, their value for family, and the love this family has. But something tells me that they used to be stoic in nature. In the Schrute family, I believe that's their behavioral norm.

"Hey guys. Where do you want me to put the fudge I made?" Jay asked, holding a plate of homemade chocolate fudge.

"Put it on the table where the food's at. And Jay, I'm gonna need your help on the grill. Can you help with that, please?" Dwight said while pointing Jay to the table where the food's at.

"Sure," Jay politely said.

As Jay put the fudge on the food table, he went outside and saw the landscape of Schrute Farms Resort. He was in awe by the greenery that he's witnessing. The beet plants that are located in Schrute Farms Resort reminded him to that of the plantations he visited in India. Although Jay has a very successful career in sports and a happy personal life, he realized there's something that he misses. Wondering what that is, he decided to put off until he gets an idea on what it is. Focusing on the matter at hand, he helps out Halpert with getting the resort ready for Schrute's birthday.

"Hey, where's Schrute?" Jay asked with curiosity. "I'm surprised he hasn't been here yet."

"Addison's keeping him busy. Said she had something to tell her," Halpert said.

"Is it something about their relationship?" Jay questioned.

Halpert, realizing that Jay's suspecting what Addison wants to tell Schrute, decides to tell him the truth.

"Alright, Addison's pregnant with Schrute's child. Emily told me yesterday," Halpert said.

"You kidding me? That's good news, man. Does he know about it?" Jay asked gleefully.

"He doesn't. Yet. If he finds out, he'll freak out," Angela interjected in their conversation.

"Mrs. Schrute, you knew about it too?" Halpert said with surprise.

"Of course. Addison told us. Though we were upset at first, we knew that we raised our son to be the best human being we ever imagined," Dwight said. "Plus, one mistake doesn't define your entire life. Unless you're a teenager."

With that in mind, Halpert and Jay decided to get the arrangements done in Schrute Farms Resort.

"Oy, where's Jake?" Dwight asked.

"He's out with Samantha. Again," Angela said.

"Is it just me or are they really in love with each other?" Dwight said.

"Probably they are. When Jake got into Yale, we were really happy about it. I mean, he got an offer to play baseball for them. But, then I heard Samantha got into Columbia. So something tells me that this is it for them," Angela said.

"What do you mean?" Dwight asked.

"I'm saying that they'll be having a long-distance relationship," Angela said.

"It's not that long. Yale is 77.3 miles away from Columbia," Dwight assured.

Angela, seeing that it isn't that long, agrees with Dwight with some concern over Jake.

As Cecelia and Astrid were walking around Schrute Farms Resort, they talked about Cecelia's wedding.

"Wait a second, you want me to be the maid of honor?" Astrid said in surprise.

"Yeah. I mean, you're the one who got me to meet Jason in the first place and I assume that Jason will have Jay be his best man," Cecelia said.

"But isn't it weird that the wedding will be in Scranton?" Astrid said.

"Well, it does make sense to have it there because that's where our parents met," Cecelia said.

"Ok, to be frank, Scranton somewhat gives me the jitters," Astrid said.

"How's that?" Cecelia asked.

"I mean, I would've gone to Penn State. But I wanted more from life. There was no future in Scranton," Astrid said.

"What do you mean?" Cecelia said.

"Well, life in Scranton was monotonous for me. My life became a little boring. So, I applied to Berkeley, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, LSU, Rutgers, UChicago, and other universities. I thought having an education away from home would make my life more interesting. And I have to admit, it was the best decision that I ever took," Astrid explained.

"I see. Well, I have to agree with you there. I guess it's the same with every girl who belongs to a business family," Cecelia said.

"You had that issue before?" Astrid said in surprise.

"Yeah. You know my dad's part of this company called Athleap, right?" Cecelia said.

"The sports marketing/agency company? Isn't that one Jay and Jason were signed by?" Astrid asked for clarification.

"Yup. Although I wanted to pursue volleyball as my career, I felt I couldn't do it in Texas. Though Baylor, Rice, SMU, UT Austin, and other colleges in Texas had great business and athletic programs, it didn't really excite me a lot. And also, I didn't want to be close to home. That's why I attended UC Berkeley," Cecelia said. "Right. You know, why does my mom hate your mom?"

Astrid was in laughter.

"Thank you! I was going to talk to you about that. What's that about?" Astrid said.

"Which episode are you on?" Cecelia said.

"I'm on Stress Relief. Gotta say, Schrute's dad is super-harmful to humankind," Astrid said.

"True. Why would he do that?" Cecelia asked.

"Well, maybe as revenge for that fact that no one paid attention to his fire safety talk," Astrid said.

"I mean, who cares about fire safety?" Cecelia said.

"I agree. However, I got to give props for thinking outside the box. Like, he somewhat had his colleagues have hands on experience on fire drills. That was smart. But the results were extremely negative," Astrid said.

Cecelia's talking head: Astrid likes to think in different perspectives. There's nothing wrong in thinking in different perspectives. I guess, that's what comes with being a history major. But, due to the pregnancy, I think she's imagining herself in other people's shoes.

"I see your point. But I believe Mr. Schrute was an asshole for endangering his co-workers," Cecelia stated.

"As best friends, we don't always have to agree on everything," Astrid said.

While the two girls bickered about how their love lives are going, Phillip Schrute and Addison are kissing each other in the house that belongs to Dwight's late aunt, Shirley.

"You gonna tell me your good news?" Schrute said.

"Well, let's just say that we'll be protectors to someone who we'll cherish and love for their rest of our lives," Addison hinted.

Schrute was surprised.

"Wait, are you serious? You're telling me that you're pregnant?" Schrute said in joy.

Addison nodded and Schrute shouted in happiness.

"Oh my god! Wow!" Schrute exclaimed.

"To be fair, I was gonna get you a present. But I found out that I was 2 months pregnant yesterday. So, here's my gift to you," Addison said.

"You mean, our gift. Do your parents know about this?" Schrute said.

"They do and they're a little disappointed. But they're happy for me and they actually liked you, to be honest," Addison said.

"Wow. That's a relief. So, when's the wedding?" Schrute said.

"I'm sorry?" Addison said in surprise when she heard the word, "wedding."

Schrute pulls out a ring from his pant pocket and presents it to Addison by kneeling on one knee.

"Addison Michaels. Though I would say you made me the happiest man than I ever been in my entire life, but it sounds corny. Instead, I would say that I will spend the rest of my life with you until death we part. You helped me so much in becoming the person that I wanted to be and I realized life without you wouldn't be better than right now. So, Addison Michaels, will you marry me?" Schrute said.

A gleeful Addison nodded with a smile and hugged Phillip Schrute in happiness.

With both of them in each other's embrace, they felt that nothing can tear them apart as they have each other.

Meanwhile, Jay, Jason, Dwight, and Halpert were done decorating and had everything arranged for Phillip Schrute's birthday party.

"You guys wanna play a game?" Dwight asked.

"Sure. Which one?" Jason asked.

"It's called "Never Have I Ever" Dwight said.

"Oh, I love this one," Jason said. "Never have I ever got laid before."

Surprised, Halpert burst into laughter.

"Wait a minute. Are you serious right now? You're telling us that you're a virgin?" Halpert teased.

"Shut up. Ok," Jason said.

With everyone having 4 fingers up due to getting laid at a certain point of time, Jay decides to pose something new.

"Never have I ever flirted with another woman while still in a committed relationship," Jay said.

While Jay noticed no one except Dwight put another finger around, Jay was surprised.

"It was a contract obligation with Angela. It was a child-rearing contract," Dwight admitted. "But, out of temptation, I flirted with Addison's mom before Phillip was born."

"Yeah, we know. Your son told us when we met the first time," Jason said.

Dwight felt slightly uneasy, but kept playing.

"Alright, never have I ever was nominated Homecoming Royalty during high school," Halpert said.

With everyone except Dwight and Halpert putting another finger down, Halpert was the only one who has 4 fingers up and the rest of them have 3 fingers up.

As they kept playing, they learned something personal about themselves. With the final two players remaining. Dwight and Jay are neck and neck in the game with one finger up.

"Never have I ever got abused by another sibling," Dwight said.

With Jay putting his finger down, Dwight was surprised.

"Wait, you got abused by your siblings?" Jason said.

"Yeah. I was the brains in the family, which made my sister was jealous. My twin brother took it well, because he knew what he was good at in life. When she found out I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, she bullied me a few times out of that jealousy. Things were worse when I was getting all of the careful attention from my parents, resulting in her being more resentful of me. A few months after my diagnosis, she hit me with a baseball bat out of anger and that knocked me out unconscious. My head was bleeding after I got hit. She took me to the hospital. When my parents arrived at the hospital a few hours later, I surprisingly woke up. When they asked me who hit me, I stretched the truth and said I got hit by a car on the road with no license plate. I got a small scolding, but I felt it was worth it. After that, my sister asked for forgiveness and I did. After that incident, my sister helped me out with giving some social and relationship advice, out of gratitude for not narcing on her and that helped on the long run," Jay revealed.

"Wow. I'm so sorry. I mean, you proved yourself that you're capable of love. I think that's why your sister was remorseful and sorry about what happened. I think the reason she bullied you is because she thought you didn't understand love or pain and that you were just a heartless person," Halpert said.

"Yeah. I know. I learned why she hit me before the day Jeff and I graduated from Saratoga High," Jay said.

"Hmm. Why didn't you tell us?" Jason asked.

"I don't want anyone's pity. After gaining a level of respect that I could ever aspire for, I felt that it was unnecessary to tell anyone," Jay said.

"Not even Astrid?" Jason said.

"She knows about it. I told the night before I got married. She also promised not to tell anyone," Jay said. "Promise me all of you won't mention this to anyone."

"We promise," Jason, Dwight, and Halpert said altogether.

After the promise is made, they were surprised by a few cars coming into Schrute Farms Resort.

"I see the party has arrived," Dwight said.

As one car opened its doors, Oscar came out of it.

"I wouldn't miss a birthday party of my godson," Oscar said.

"Well, I'm glad that you came," Dwight said.

Another car opened its doors and there came Phyllis and Bob Vance.

"Phyllis! Glad to see you here," Dwight said in a cheerful tone.

"Hey, Dwight. Where's your kid? I was gonna present him this fridge," Bob said, pointing toward a moving towtruck which has a refrigerator.

As more cars kept coming in, more guests have arrived.

"Jeb! Fannie! Cameron! So glad you guys made it," Dwight said.

"Hey, we wouldn't miss it for your boy, man," Jeb said.

"Besides, he's the one who made you the happiest I've ever seen you and Angela," Fannie said.

"Sup, Uncle Dwight? How has it been?" Cameron said.

"Hey, Cam. So when are going to see you play with the Baltimore Ravens next year?" Dwight said.

"I'll be ready. To be fair though, I was thinking about being traded to the 49ers," Cameron said.

"What? Why?" Dwight asked.

"Those guys are Superbowl worthy. I don't want just winning seasons. I want more than that," Cameron said.

"Are you sure about this? I mean, it's easy to get in the team, but it's hard to get some reps on regular season games. You have to make the roster first," Dwight reminded.

"I know. Plus, I'm dissatisfied with the culture in Baltimore," Cameron said.

"Well, I hope you know what's best for you," Dwight said.

After some of the party guests have arrived, Astrid and Cecelia have arrived at the party. Astrid was surprised to see her mom and Coach Larson be together at the party.

"Hey, mom. Who's the guy you're with?" Astrid asked her mom.

"That is my current boyfriend, Coach Hunter Raymond Larson," Jan said. "He's also known as the head coach of your hubby's football team."

"Right. Sorry. Hi, Coach," Astrid said.

"Hey, Astrid. How's Jay? Is everything alright? He better not be slacking because I gave him, Schrute, Halpert, and Scott a week off," Coach Larson said.

"He wasn't slacking off. He's still studying the playbook," Astrid said.

"That's my boy. If you don't mind, your mom and I need to talk in private," Coach Larson said.

While Coach Larson and Jan are having a private talk, Astrid decided to not notice, slightly happy that her mom and biological dad are rebuilding their relationship afresh.

Cecelia saw her parents have arrived too, along with a man who she knew as Uncle Darryl.

"What are you guys doing here?" Cecelia asked.

"Well, we were invited. Plus, I heard 5 certain NFL stars are here," Jim said.

"Wait, five?" Cecelia said.

"Yeah. Cameron Whitman is a tight end for the Baltimore Ravens. He's maternally a Schrute. Though he put up winning seasons, it wasn't enough for him. He's currently the second ranked tight end in the league this year," Darryl said.

"Who's the top ranked tight end?" Cecelia asked.

"Who do you think? It's Jay Sharma!" Jim said.

As Cecelia and her parents are discussing with Darryl, Jason was surprised by seeing his entire family.

"Hey buddy. What's up?" Michael said.

"Dad, you were invited?" Jason asked.

"Dwight sent the invitations. And I got to say, a very big turnout for Schrute," Michael said.

"Well, he's the No.1 QB in the League this year. So, of course personal friends and family will come," Benjamin said.

"Fair point, but it's not really about his career. It's about his celebration as a person," Holly reminded.

"Yup. Plus, I'm surprised that you organized this party," Leah said.

"Well, it was me, Schrute's parents, Jay, and Halpert who did the organizing," Jason humbly said.

"Fair enough. Anyhow, let's enjoy the moment," Michael said. "But where's Phillip?"

As Michael wondered where Dwight's and Angela's son is, he knew that he'll be here because a birthday party without the birthday boy is no party at all.

While Schrute and Addison were walking to the house where the party's being held, they encountered someone with a long beard who's wearing farmer clothes.

"Uncle Mose. I'm here for the party," Schrute said.

Mose stared at him like he's going to hit him, but lets him go inside. While Mose watched him go inside, Mose saw the Brueggers and a certain male who he remembered as Dwight's younger son come to the Schrute residence.

Moses runs like his awkward self and informs Dwight that the Brueggers and Jake are here.

"Ah, the Bruegger family. Welcome," Dwight said.

"Not bad, Dwight. Pretty good party out here," a male in his mid-70s told.

"Thank you. Thank you for blessing your presence for this special occasion," Dwight said like a host.

As Dwight saw his son Phillip come inside, he triumphantly announced, "Here's the birthday boy!"

As the people in the room cheered and wished him happy birthday, Phillip had this smile on this face while holding hands with Addison.

"So, you're dating a popstar now?" Cameron said

"Yup. And not only that. Addison and I engaged," Schrute said holding their hands up with their engagement rings on.

While the people in the room saw, they congratulated him and wished them luck. The Bruegger family also wished them luck.

"Phillip, you've been the best Schrute that this family ever had. I'm proud of you, kid. Most of all, you made this farming community proud. You brought the world to see that a farmer's life isn't unnecessary. You brought so much positive change to the community that people around the country have started to respect the value of agriculture. And Dwight, you must be proud of having a son like him," the man in his mid-70s said. "And you must be proud of Jake. He's already going to make us proud much like his big brother."

"Thank you Mr. Bruegger," Dwight said.

"Well, I'm proud of your kids. I'm certainly more proud of Jake personally. He filled a void in my granddaughter's heart after Esther died. That is something that I will always be grateful for. Your son Jake being there for my granddaughter Samantha," Mr. Bruegger said.

"Thank you, Mr. Bruegger," Jake said.

As the Bruegger family officially joined the party, people have been enjoying the party to the fullest.

While people are enjoying the party with good food and music, Oscar started to remember the times that he has been to Schrute Farms.

"Well, this is certainly not a Garden Party. It's more than that," Oscar said.

"Yeah. I know," Dwight said. "Besides, something about the women my sons are dating is somewhat weird."

"And may I ask what that is?" Oscar said.

"The women are born to women who I previously dated in the past before ending up with Angela," Dwight said.

"Dwight, it's just a coincidence," Oscar assured.

As both of them talked, they saw Jake and Samantha talking to each other.

"You know, I love you. To the moon and back," Samantha said.

"Sami, we've been together since we were kids. At first, it thought it was puppy love. But I'm seeing that it's much more. Besides, being raised by your family brought both our families close together again," Jake said.

As Samantha had her head on Jake's lap, Jake was going through his phone and pulled up the news. As he saw the news, he was surprised at what he read.

When the cake is being cut by Phillip after everyone sang him "Happy Birthday," he fed the first piece to Addison. Then, he fed it to his family. As everyone started eating the cake, one of the partygoers accidentally turned on the TV, showing a news channel.

"A couple is found dead in Key West, Florida. The victims were identified as Ryan Howard and Kelly Kapoor. The cause of death is a hit-and-run case. They were run over by a car with no license plate. The perpetrator is found to be driving a red 2036 Honda Civic DSS. As the police have been investigating the matter, they found evidence the car has left town immediately, heading up north," a news reporter said on-screen.

After Dwight turned the TV off, Michael was shocked at learning about Ryan's demise.

"Ryan's dead?" My god," Michael said, shocked beyond belief.

"Who would've done this?" Dwight said.

"Dunno. But it doesn't matter. It's Phillip's birthday. Let's not a hit-and-run case ruin the mood," Jim said.

With the three of them in agreement, they decide to enjoy the party. While everyone is enjoying, Michael was slightly bothered about Ryan's death. But, knowing that Ryan never really cared for him, Michael decides to not care and enjoy the party.

After the party was over and all the guests have left, Jason, Halpert, Cecelia, Addison, Astrid, Emily, Jay, Schrute and their families have remained.

"Guys, this is the best birthday party that I ever had. Thank you guys," Schrute said.

"Phillip, you and Jake are both our pride and joy. I knew you guys would make a difference in the world. And you did. You made agriculture a respectable profession," Dwight said.

"Yeah. I'm so proud of you guys. This is the best year that we ever had as a family. And I want it to keep it that way," Angela said.

"Thanks, ma. And thank you guys. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you," Schrute thanked.

"Hey. We're BFFs for life. Remember that. Though we had a few bumps in the beginning, we got to understand each other in a positive light," Jay said.

"I know. I'm happy that we got to celebrate. But we need to get our game mindset on. Celebration's over," Schrute said.

"You got it, man," Jason said. "BFFs on 3. 1,2,3! BFFs!"

With that, they decided to call it a day and decide to head to Philadelphia with Coach Larson. With Astrid, Emily, Cecelia, and Addison coming with them, they got the chance to say goodbye before they see each other next week. While Leah and Benjamin went their separate ways, Michael, Jim, Dwight, Angela, Pam, Holly, Jan, and Darryl are left.

"So you guys wanna see a tour of the resort?" Dwight said.

"If I can make it up to you, I'll be staying here for 6 days," Michael said.

With an ecstatic Dwight agreeing, the others decided to follow along, seeing that they've gotten back together after many months.
