The Wedding Part 2:

"Alright, then. Let's get started," Jay said in the wedding dinner rehearsal.

"Ok. Um, Cecelia. You were the best friend that I ever had in my life. Even when we are careers apart, we still were tight and never let ourselves down. You're so beautiful and I'm sure Jason deserves the love that you gave him and I have to say the same for Jason. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have met Jay and be the happiest that I've ever been with him. So I want to make a toast to you guys for making our lives more happier than we've ever known to date," Astrid said, holding up her glass of wine to make her toast.

"Jason. My wife's toast is one of the best. But, I think it's time that people hear you get roasted," Jay said with a devious smile.

Jason thought, "What are you up to now?!" while looking at him seriously.

"Sike! Jason, you are one of the best friends that I've had in a long time. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have met Astrid and you wouldn't have met Cecelia. I have to admit, I was a little jealous of you. But again, who is? Mi amigo, you are one of the most bravest and most smartest men that I've ever met in my life. I wish we had more time together, but all good things have to come to an end," Jay revealed.

While people heard Jay say 'all good things must come to an end,' people were confused.

"What does that mean?" a wedding guest from the groom side said.

"Yeah! Tell us!" another one said.

As more and more wedding guests start to ask what does it mean, Jason decides to tell the truth.

"We decided to play for different teams. Although we've been friends for so long, we felt that our families are more important to us than our friendships. Despite that, our friendships will be strong," Jason said.

"Does that mean you'll be leaving the 49ers?" another wedding guest asked.

"Yes, that is correct. I enjoyed my time as a 49er, but I felt it's time that I move on in life," Jason said.

With the entire wedding guest reacting in surprising and shock, they applauded him for doing so because he was deemed a ticket to the Super Bowl.

During the wedding dinner rehearsal, Michael is about to give his speech.

"Before I start off, I just want to recount the time I first met Cecelia. I wasn't exactly approving of her because of what I heard about her. When I learned that she was the daughter of really good co-workers of mine back in Dunder Mifflin, I was taken aback. In a positive manner. When I learned of my son Jason's relationship to her, I was initially doubtful. In case if you're wondering, this is not a roast. This is a way of telling you how Cecelia gained my approval. At first, I wasn't expecting their relationship to take off. Based on how my son is, I just felt that she'll never be good for her. It's not that I had a negative opinion of her. I was skeptical if she could live up to the expectations that my son had. After Jason told me that he loved, I assumed that he was under that feeling. And feelings change as usual. But not for my son. He was in love with her. She made him the happiest I've ever seen him. That is something that I can never forget. It's often a dream to see your son get married and welcome your daughter-in-law into the family. But, instead of a daughter-in-law, she gave me the assurance that she'll take care of Jason like her family. And after seeing how Cecelia took care of her family, I approved of their marriage and gave her my blessing. So, Cecelia Marie Halpert, soon to be a Scott, welcome into our humble and loving family," Michael said in his speech.

With everyone in applause, including Jim and Pam, they were surprised to hear Michael speak words that they never thought they'll be hearing in their lives.

As speeches from the groom side of the family began, it ended with Holly giving a speech, stating how Cecelia is extremely gracious to both families and appreciate how she was there for Jason.

While the next line of speeches were about to be given by the bride's side of the wedding, they decide to take a small break from it.

With everyone eating dinner, Jason and Jay started discussing their free agency options with Jim and Michael.

"So, what do you guys think of the New Orleans Saints or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?" Jim asked.

"Do you guys have a branch in New Orleans and Tampa?" Jay asked.

"Actually, no. But, we're planning on opening them in 3 years," Jim said.

"My best bet's probably on Denver, because I want to be close to home. But, I have other teams to think about, like the Pittsburgh Steelers. Turns out David Wallace offered me a job in HR at the Dunder Mifflin branch in Pittsburgh. He says that the manager is like Michael, but puts work and fun as both priorities. When he gives out meetings, he tries to pep up the audience and they seem to like that," Jason said.

"I see. Well, if I have something to say about Dunder Mifflin's HR post, they directly report to corporate. HR had some power about how the office functions. It's similar to the power of the regional manager, but can act as an advisor," Jim explained.

"Dad, speaking of which, where's Toby?" Jason asked.

"Right, he was supposed to be here. I'll make a call," Michael said, pulling out his phone and dialing Toby's number.

While Michael dialed Toby's number, Michael remembered how he was busy he is. Despite that, he decides to call him. While his phone was ringing, Michael saw David Wallace arrive with his family.

"David! What are hell are you doing here? Are you here to split everyone up again?" Michael questioned.

"Come on, Michael. You know that ship passed," David said.

Michael breaks down into laughter. "I'm just playing you, David. And I see that you've brought your entire family."

"Ok. Where's the groom? And I know Holly doesn't want me to interfere with you family again," David said.

"That's right, David. Right now, you're not interfering. You are witnessing," Michael said.

"That's the most anti-Michael Scott thing that I ever heard you say. Where was your former punchline?" David asked.

"Jason told me to not express that in public. He told me that it's equivalent to getting punched in the face as a response," Michael said.

"That makes sense. You know my son Teddy, and my wife Rachel. And this is my daughter, Teresa. I think you may have met her once," David said.

"Hello. Welcome to my son's wedding and I hope you enjoy. Right now, we're running wedding dinner rehearsals. Besides, we invited you for dinner because your head of the family was the one that made my life a temporary living hell," Michael said, roasting David in the end.

"Michael, don't push it," David calmly warned with a chuckle.

"Sorry. Please, come on in," Michael said.

As Jason saw David Wallace come inside, he starts to have an increase in surprise, but not in anger.

"Hey, David, glad of you to come here," Jason said.

"Yeah. Listen, I need to talk to you about something. It's urgent," David said.

As Benjamin saw his girlfriend right next to her family, he started to feel a sense of panic.

As Jason and David were privately discussing what's up, David decides to tell everything.

"Um, here's the thing. Your younger brother, Benjamin, is dating my daughter Teresa. It's not that I have a grudge against your family. It's just we didn't want to meddle with you guys. After what happened many years ago, I felt this relationship could bring back what happened and I don't like that. I was wondering of your family is feeling the same," David confessed.

"That's it? Where does she go to school, again?" Jason asked.

"UC Berkeley. Sounds like the Scotts from Stanford tend to get women from Berkeley," David said.

"I appreciate you bringing this news to me. But it's not me who you should convince. It's my mom and dad. My mom and dad were the ones that suffered the most from the separation. And I can tell that they're struggling to forgive you for that. I love my mom and dad. And I don't want to see them go through that again," Jason said.

"I see. I'll talk to your parents about this. Not right now. Until some days after the wedding. Right now, I feel like it's your moment, so enjoy. And is that person Toby Flenderson?" David said while noticing a certain someone come in.

"Toby! So glad to see you!" Michael said in a happy voice.

"Hey, Michael. How've you been?" Toby said.

"Well, I've been very good this year. For now. How's that suspense crime novel going? Is it near to completion? I know you're a busy man, but I appreciate it if you tell me how far you are on the novel?" Michael said.

"It's going good. Like, I finished 7 chapters right now. But, I'm working on other stuff. And where's my godson?" Toby said, asking for Jason.

"Hey, Toby," Jason said.

"Hey, Jason, glad to see you getting married. I remembered you saying that you don't want to get married when you were 7 years old," Toby said with a chuckle.

While Jim and Pan were talking, they noticed Michael talking to Toby in a friendly manner, much to their surprise.

"Michael, is that Toby?" Jim said. "How've you been, man? We haven't seen you in a long time!"

"Well, I haven't seen you guys as well. Congratulations by the way," Toby said.

"Thank you," Pam said.

"My pleasure," Toby said before leaving to his assigned table, where he sat with the groom's side of the family.

"Michael, are you and Toby friendly now?" Jim asked. "You never liked him."

"Right. But, I did see that bygones need to be bygones if I want to have a fresh start. As I got to know Toby's brother Rory, I learned about the good stuff. So I apologized to Toby in person and we settled our one-side resentment," Michael said.

"Glad to hear that," Pam said.

"Yeah, me too," Michael said. "It's kind of nice knowing about a person you once hated without knowing anything about him. Another reason why I didn't like him was because he was not very enthusiastic with some ideas."

"I'm glad," Jim said. "I'm glad you didn't invite Ryan."

"Why do we need to talk about the dead and ruin the happy mood? Let's enjoy," Michael dismissively said.

As Michael started to sit with his family again, Jim and Pam were surprised that having a family made him turn around his negative qualities and become a family-oriented man.

"Isn't the new Michael very weird? Like Dwight?" Jim asked.

"No, I think he's ok. I mean, he has a family and that's all he wanted. I think a family keeps him sane, just like Dwight," Pam reasoned.

"Ok. It's just Michael doesn't say his punchline very often. He just became too decent," Jim commented.

"Jim, sometimes change is good. And it has been 23 years and look where that took Michael," Pam said.

"I hope you're right," Jim said.

While Pam decides to start off with a toast, she pulls out a piece of paper with her speech.

"Cece. You were my pride and joy as well as your dad's. I couldn't have imagined life without you. When me and your dad had an "accident," we were extremely happy because of you. Although we were kind of embarrassed, we didn't care. We cared about you because we love you. I remember the time when I held you for the first time. It's like I still am holding on to you. And as I watched you grow into a capable woman, I never expected you to grow up so fast. All I want to say is, enjoy the moment and I love you," Pam said.

As people applauded, Jim starts his toast.

"I want to make a toast to my daughter Cece for being one of the best female role models I've ever seen. Cece, you made me and my mom so happy and you were the one that kept us together. Even in the hardest of times. I remember the time you won your first volleyball championship. I always wondered why you wanted to go to Berkeley. But now I do. You wanted to find someone who can take care of you and there came Jason. I didn't have much of a positive opinion of Jason. Until I learned that he's one of my closest friend's son. And the son of the best boss I ever had. All I want to say is I love you and I hope you have happiness in the places you go and beyond," Jim tearfully said.

As people applauded again, the dinner has ended and people have been going to the bar to congregate socially.

"So, Dwight. What do you think about the wedding dinner?" Michael asked.

"I think it's pretty cool. Except, who's the best man for the wedding?" Dwight asked.

"Are you kidding me? It's your son, Phillip. Ever since Jay and Astrid became parents, it became a little harder for them to hang out with others. But, they love their kids," Michael said.

"So, the wedding is tomorrow at the chapel?" Dwight said.

"Yes. And no parties in the motel rooms. We don't want another incident with people having no beauty sleeping due to an accident. You know what I am talking about," Michael said.

"What do you mean?" Dwight said.

"Andy apparently "tore" his scrotum when he was doing the splits in a dance off. Pam drove him to the hospital and she didn't get any peaceful sleep at all," Michael said.

"True. Question. Why is David here? Jason doesn't even like him." Dwight asked in his intense, halting, formal manner.

"Well, David has a daughter who is in love with my son, Benjamin. They've been dating for the past 6 months. And Benjamin told me truth about her and David's daughter. And Jason used to dislike him. They managed to end the feud," Michael said.

"A feud is a mutual conflict between two sides who can take the support from third parties," Dwight answered.

"Ok, maybe a one-sided hatred toward David," Michael said, correcting his statement.

While others were talking, they saw Jason and Cecelia talking to their group of friends.

"I'm worried about the kids. You know. I mean, you don't wake up as usual. We wake up around 4:50 am. Now, we wake up at like 4 am. But, at least the kids don't make noise," Jay said.

"Wait. Your kids don't make noise? How?" Jason asked.

"Pacifiers and Mozart," Jay said.

"You play Mozart on your babies' crib?" Jason chuckled.

"What else do you want me to put, rap and metal?" Jay sarcastically said. "When you become a parent, you'll get me."

"Did you parents play Mozart on your crib?" Phillip Halpert asked.

"Every time when I was a kid. Until I started speaking when I one year old. Like, I was growing pretty quickly. And it also told me to shut the fuck up," Jay said.

"My mom usually did pacifiers on me. And it worked every time," Astrid said.

"So you guys came up with names for the babies yet?" Jason asked.

"We were thinking about one and we decided to name the boy after you and my childhood friend Damien. His name's Jason Damien Sharma. The girl, we decided to name him after both our maternal grandmoms. The girl's name will be Susana Janet Sharma," Jay said.

"Sounds pretty cool," Jason said. "But, let's go. We got lots of stuff to do tomorrow. We don't want any incidents happening."

As everyone's about to leave, they saw someone who they never expected to see. An old woman in her 90s and is very healthy looking has come to the wedding. Jason and Phillip Halpert were surprised to see her.

"Is that former CEO of Sabre Printers, Jo Bennett? She's like the only sane character that I've seen on the documentary," Phillip Halpert said.

"Sure is. What is she doing here?" Jay asked.

As Jo Bennett walked toward some individuals who recognized her, they were astonished.

"Jo! What are you doing here?" Michael asked in surprise.

"I heard about your son. Turns out he's going to be leaving the 49ers for another team I heard. A team that I have bought," Jo said in her usual Souther accent. "And I wanted to congratulate him on his wedding to the daughter of your former co-worker. Where is he?"

As Jo turned around, she saw Jason.

"Jason Scott. The best elite wide receiver that I've seen in my life. I know you're not thinking about football right, but I was wondering if you sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers," Jo stated.

"Seriously? I have an offer on the table?!" Jason asked in surprise.

"Sure, sonny. And congratulations on the wedding by the way," Jo said.

"Thank you, Mrs. Bennett," Jason said. "Sure, I'll sign. But I need a favor," Jason said.

"What exactly is it?" Jo asked.

"I need to prank call Gabe Lewis. If you know what I mean," Jason said with a devious smile.

Jay's talking head: Ever since Jason started watching the documentary, he started making a list of people of who he should prank. David was on the list, but I realized that he got him to apologize. Gabe Lewis is on that list. Todd Packer is on that list. The list kind of goes on, up to Andy Bernard.

"Hey asshole. Just to let you know, you're too skinny. The reason you're a creep is because you're too skinny," Jason said as he prank-called Gabe Lewis.

Ending the call, Jason burst into laughter, much to everyone's amusement.

"Not bad for a prankster," Jim said, laughing at the scene.

"We should get going. We got to get ready for the big day. So, Jo, are you here for the wedding too?" Michael said.

"'Course I am. Wouldn't miss it for some of the loveliest people I know," Jo said. "I'll see you around tomorrow."

As Jo left the conversation, Michael and Jim were looking happy.

"Well, today's full of surprises, huh?" Michael said.

"What do you mean?" Jim asked.

"There's something I should tell you," Michael said.

"If it's about the insecurity, we're over that," Jim said.

"No, it's something different. Turns out Benjamin's in love with Wallace's daughter. And I need your help on making sure if she's right for the family," Michael said.
