New Beginnings:

After Jason's and Cecelia's wedding, Jason, Schrute, Halpert, and Jay decide to go their separate ways.

On March 24, 2037, Phillip Halpert decided to join the Los Angeles Chargers for a fully guaranteed $100 million dollar contract for 4 years, so he can stay alongside Emily. He decides to work for his dad's sports marketing branch in Los Angeles during the offseason.

Phillip Halsted Schrute decides to join the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have elite offensive weapons like the 49ers. Signing a $150 million contract for 5 years, Schrute was delighted at this as his performance numbers proved that he's one of the most elite QBs in the NFL. Plus, it's where Addison is living for the time being. Though Dwight and Angela weren't exactly happy with the decision, they were happy to learn he's somewhat close to home. Also, Schrute was given a job as a sales representative at Dunder Mifflin Pittsburgh during the offseason.

Jason Scott decides to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who really needed a Keenan Allen-type receiver. Because of this, they gladly signed him to a $90 million contract for 5 years. Also, because of Jason's affiliation with Dunder Mifflin, the company's stock prices have went up and got lots of profit due to his endorsement contract. What's even more ironic is that David offered Jason the position of HR in Dunder Mifflin Pittsburgh, which he took, much to Michael's annoyance. Regardless, Michael decided to keep it cool. Although, he asked Cecelia to keep an eye on him. Plus, it also reunited him with Schrute, giving them some resemblance to the friendship their fathers had in Dunder Mifflin.

Jay Sharma decided to play for Tampa. As a first round pick, he was offered a $150 million contract for 4 years. Jay quickly adjusted to a culture in Tampa, which is similar to the 49ers. Jay and Astrid decided to settle in Tampa. Jay Sharma is deemed a utility player alongside his new teammate and former Stanford teammate Marcus Fillipelli-Jensen.

Despite losing 4 key players, the 49ers remain strong as Jason, Jay, Halpert, and Schrute have taught them everything they knew. Although Coach Larson was a little disappointed, he was pleased that he didn't have to trade anymore players for draft picks as he saw everyone has stepped up and the fact Jay's departure has saved them some cap space.

When Jay met up with Edward Brady, Edward showed lots of contentment. Welcoming him openly, they were confident that they have a real chance of going to Super Bowl and possibly winning it. Clay Standall, Mike Banner, Gunnar Mostert, Aaron Dempsey, Evan Cole, Christopher Hagane, Zach McCormack, and Aaron Barclay were really happy to have Jay play for them. While Jay reunited with Marcus, he was glad that he found someone he knew closely besides Jason.

"So, how's Jason? Heard he got married to Cecelia Halpert. Sorry I wasn't able to come to the wedding. You know, parenthood and all," Marcus said.

"He did. And it's hard. It's one thing that your wife is an Academy-award winning actress. It's another thing when you have two kids who are starting to growing really fast. They even started crawling at 2 months," Jay said.

"Woah. So you're a progressive parent now?" Marcus teased.

"Man, shut up. And yeah, I wouldn't scold my kids for the mistakes they do. It makes me look like I'm overreacting to the mistakes I did in the past," Jay said.

"Oh yeah. That's true," Marcus commented. "You know, I'm really glad that you're playing for Tampa now. But, isn't it a little difficult adjusting to the culture here?"

"Things are a little similar. We don't do lots of conditioning. We just stretch out a lot. Also, we watch game tapes and have victory food days," Jay said.

"Bro, I feel you. That is the life!" Marcus commented. "What happened to Schrute? I saw his play. He was magnificent. He's gonna beat Alex Richardson or our QB in terms of MVP of the Year. Didn't he win MVP?"

"He did. But I wasn't surprised. You know he's in a relationship with poster Addison Michaels?" Jay said.

"No shit! That's really cool," Marcus said.

"Yeah. Plus, I kind of miss the old days at Stanford. Seeing you again gave me some renowned sense of hope," Jay said.

"What do you mean by that?" Marcus said.

"I meant that we can catch up with what we need to talk about," Jay said.

Marcus nodded.

"Well, how's Audrey? I know she's kind of a little sick since you found out about her pregnancy," Jay said.

"Um, she's alright. I'm just glad that she's having another baby," Marcus said.

"That's good to know," Jay commented.

As they discussed their parenting styles, Jason and Schrute are busy working in Dunder Mifflin Pittsburgh.

"With all due respect sir, I cannot guarantee that our paper is papercut-free. But I can guarantee that it is soft as a baby's skin," Schrute said over the phone to a client.

After the client decides to buy paper from Schrute, Schrute banks a sale of $500 worth of reams and markers. Like his father, he became the best salesman in his respective branch.

While working under the regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Pittsburgh, Frederick Jeong, Jason found him to be a little similar to his father in personality. Learning from his father, Jason was prepared to face some of the things that Frederick does in the office.

In the days that Jason and Schrute started working at Dunder Mifflin Pittsburgh, they were taken aback by the laidback behavior of Frederick. One time, Frederick made a few crude comments on how women tend to take advantage of gullible men and warned the male employees to stay away from women in their lives, but not their mothers. Another time, Frederick unintentionally revealed an office relationship by publicly announcing it.

Finding Frederick obnoxious and somewhat reminiscent of his father, Jason knew what to do whenever he faces a situation involving someone like his father.

Today, Frederick unintentionally outed a gay sales representative employee named James Howard, which made James feel discriminated against. With Schrute and Jason remembering that Michael outed Oscar in an uncomfortable manner, they knew how to deal with the situation.

"Oh boy. This isn't good," Jason said.

"Let's help out James," Schrute said. "In a way that doesn't offend him or his sexuality."

In agreement, they decide to comfort James first.

"Hey buddy. Sorry about what happened," Jason said to James, an African-American person who sat right next to Schrute.

"You know, you're the first person to say that," James honestly said. "I'm glad you're here as an HR rep."

"Yeah, me too. Listen, I know how to deal with this shit. Just do what I say," Jason said.

After Jason tells James what to do, they decided to do exactly that.

When James, Schrute, and Jason went back to work, they hear Frederick calling the office staff for a meeting. Wondering what the meeting is about, they decide to head in.

As Frederick was about to speak, James watched patiently, trying to use the advice that Jason gave him.

"Alright, apparently we have a problem with homosexuality. And that is something that I'm not against. Why do you have a problem with homosexuality, if I ask?" Frederick said.

With no one speaking, Frederick decides to do something else.

"Rather than have you speak, I'm going to have you guys watch me and James make a statement," Frederick said.

Feeling a little scared, James stands up.

"We are going to hug each other as part of showing my acceptance of homosexuality," Frederick stated.

"I rather not," James said, showing some hesitance.

While Frederick attempts to hug James, James pushes him away.

"No! I don't want to touch you! Ok?! You're stupid, denigratory, and like a deformed mouse! Judging how I was treated when you inadvertently outed me, I will sue you and quit this wretched company!" James ranted before leaving the meeting.

After this rant, everyone went their separate ways, trying to ignore the fact that their boss is a jackass.

When it was 4:55 pm, James invited Schrute and Jason for drinks. When they arrived at Mullen's Bar & Grill Inc, they each got a battle of Samuel Adams.

"Ok, so your parents used to work at Dunder Mifflin Scranton? That's how your parents met?" James said.

"Yup. And during the 2008 economic recession, my dad was the head of his regional branch, which was the company's highest performing branch," Jason said.

"Wow. Gotta say, I think Scranton's a place that's gonna be to enjoy work and have fun," James said. "It's even more surprising when you told me how to deal with the situation with Frederick."

"Yeah. About the guy, does he hate HR?" Jason asked.

"Kind of. He cares about his staff, except for those who report to Corporate," James said.

"Ok. That makes sense," Jason said. "You're still playing football, right?"

Jason and Schrute nodded.

"Is it all right if I can be both your sports agent?" James said.

"You serious?" Schrute said, surprised at the topic.

"Look, I need something to keep me in bay. Aight. I know how to negotiate contracts. It's like business, you see," James explained.

"Ok. Jason's dad is his agent, so you can't be his agent. But you can be mine. You get 5% of my athletic contract money, which is $5 million," Schrute offered.

Thinking about it, James agreed to the offer.

While James, Jason, and Schrute had their drinks, Halpert is busy in Los Angeles working at his dad's Athleap branch. Right now, he's handling a meeting about the availability of athlete contracts.

"So, right now in the market, we have Cameron Whitman, Isaiah Lopez, Kendrick Hyeong, Ronith Mehra, Uriel Zimmerman, Andrew Ricard, and Henry Vuenrostro. All these guys are free agents who don't have sports agents yet and have signed contracts with us. But we need to focus on Cameron Whitman. 2nd best tight end in the league, and probably one of the best hands in the league. He plans on playing for the 49ers. Lucky for us, Jay Sharma has left the 49ers and joined Tampa Bay. If we get him to sign with the 49ers, then we'll get a 6% share of the contract money he will be offered," Halpert stated.

"How so?" Darryl asked.

"Simple. Cameron's statlines, work ethic, and leadership are exemplary of what an elite tight end should be," Halpert said. "Plus, he's a top free agent willing to play for the best."

While everyone in the meeting room agrees with Halpert, Jim explains his reservations.

"What about Jay Sharma and Jason Scott?" Jim asked.

"They already signed with us. We have a share of 4% of both their contract money. Plus, Jason has lots of endorsements coming in. So we get 10% of the money Jason Scott gets from each endorsement. Each endorsement is worth $2 million. And he has about 20 companies endorsing Jason Scott," Halpert explained.

"I see. Sounds good to me," Jim said, glad that his son clarified that.

After everyone in the meeting agreed to help Cameron sign with the 49ers, Jim and Darryl have a private discussion.

"The 49ers are not gonna be happy with Cameron Whitman coming in," Darryl expressed.

"How so?" Jim asked.

"Signing Cameron will disrupt the team chemistry," Darryl explained.

"How's that a problem?" Jim asked.

"This is serious. Cameron is not 49ers material," Darryl argued.

"Ok. He is. And I don't get what's wrong with him," Jim said.

"Alex Richardson and Cameron Whitman have beef with each other. It's some college rivalry and all that," Darryl explained.

"Why didn't you mention that?" Jim asked, shocked at the news. "And what happened?"

"Alex and Cameron played at USC and UCLA respectively. They were heated rivals. Because of that, they nearly got themselves ejected every year," Darryl explained.

"Oh god," Jim said, reeling under tension. "Darryl, can you leave me alone for a while and inform my son about the bombshell you just dropped on me?"

Darryl leaves and tells Halpert everything. Surprisingly, Halpert told that he knew about the beef. Halpert already called Alex Richardson about having Cameron join the 49ers. In addition, Alex liked to have Cameron join the 49ers, realizing that it's time for bygones to be bygones and to move on from Jay, who he respected and liked so much.

Darryl tells Jim what he learned from Halpert, resulting in Jim being very relieved.

While Halpert was busy contacting other athletes for negotiating contracts, Benjamin and Teresa Wallace were making out in her dorm room. They stopped kissing and kept embracing each other.

"God, I missed you so much," Benjamin said.

"I missed you too. Did your parents agree to our relationship?" Teresa said.

"Sort of. They want you to meet them first," Benjamin said.

"Ever since you racked up a championship like your older brother, you've been hard to keep in touch with," Teresa.

"It's not like I can help it. I have dreams outside our relationship," Benjamin said. "Making a name for myself and all that. It's not like my family is old-money rich!"

"Are you calling my family old-money rich?" Teresa argued. "My dad bought the company where he was once CFO!"

"Are we really going to talk about families right now?" Benjamin questioned.

"I don't know what's going on with you!" Teresa complained. "Ever since the wedding, you've been hard to contact!"

"That's because my brother still holds your father in contempt!" Benjamin said.

"Over the issue that your parents were split up before they got married!" Teresa argued.

"My dad suffered a lot because of what your dad did! And I'm not gonna put him through that again!" Benjamin yelled.

After the heated confrontation, Benjamin left the dorm. Still angry over the fact that Teresa doesn't value his dreams or her family, he was more angry over her father. Despite resolving a few tensions between the Scott and Wallace families, a small, deep amount of contempt is harbored.

While Benjamin left the dorm building, Leah was on a date with her boyfriend, William Stills.

"You know, I'm glad that I'm hanging out with you. I like to keep doing this," William said.

"Yeah, me too. And you told me that your mom is a real estate agent in Scranton?" Leah said.

"Yeah. Probably one of the best real estate agents in the town," William said.

"It's kind of weird. My dad was born in Scranton and my big brother Jason had his wedding at Scranton a few weeks ago," Leah said.

"I don't think it's weird. I think it's a mere coincidence. What was your dad's name again?" William Scott said.

"His name's Michael," Leah said.

William froze. He remembered that his mother Carol used to date a man named Michael Scott, who he thought was a bit of a idiotic buffoon. After watching the Office documentary, he had some respect for Michael, who has left his office for a better future.

"Oh. Wasn't he the guy from the Office: A Workplace?" William clarified.

"That's him," Leah said.

"Oh. It's pretty weird, tbh. My mom actually dated your dad. Before he met your mom," William said nervously.

"Ok, you said your mom's name was Carol, right?" Leah said.

William nodded.

"Oh, boy," Leah said. "I expected the world to be so small. But I didn't know it was this small!"

"Question. Is your dad still an idiotic buffoon or has that person died down?" William asked.

"He's not an idiotic buffoon. The reason for that is my mom, Holly," Leah said.

"Hmm. I want to meet your family. Like, I know that your brother's in Pittsburgh right now, but I want to meet everyone," William said.

"Ok," Leah said. "Oh, by the way, when you asked me the question about my dad, you sounded like Dwight, my dad's former sidekick."

"Yup. You got me there. To be fair, I liked Dwight more than your dad," William admitted.

While Leah was on her date with William, Emily Scott took a pregnancy test due to fainting after practice. It has been 9 minutes since Emily took the test. Because of that, Emily was feeling nervous.

"Relax, you'll be fine. Was the urine a little darker than usual?" Dr. Isa Oso, the Los Angeles Sparks team doctor asked.

"Yup," Emily admitted.

"I think it's dehydration. You're gonna be fine," Isa said.

When 10 minutes are up, the pregnancy result came in. It was negative.

"Good news. It's negative. It could've been good news either way," Isa said.

"Whew," Emily said in relief. "I don't remember the last time I had sex with Phillip. I think it was 2 months ago."

"Well, you still got lots of years ahead of you. Best if you be a mom until you turn 30," Isa advised.

Taking that into consideration, Emily packed up her things in the locker and her teammates felt a little relieved.

"What happened?" Miranda Russo, her teammate said.

"It's dehydration. I'm really fine," Emily said.

"Wait, so you're not pregnant?" Miranda said.

"Nah. The results were negative. Although, Isa told me that it's best to have a baby before you turn 30. And I'm like 27. And my Phillip's the same age around me and he doesn't have time with me due to working with his dad," Emily said.

"I have something which will get him pumping," Miranda said.

"If it's an aphrodisiac, no thanks," Emily said.

"Seductively whisper this phrase to him. He'll definitely be in the mood," Miranda said before whispering the phrase to Emily's ear.

Emily giggled. "That works?"

"Everytime. But you have to go for it," Miranda said.

"Ok," Emily said.
