Rey sat in the center of what had once been Luke's home.
Sitting Indian style, she had Ben's shirt draped over her lap. Closing her eyes, she focused, breathing slowly in and out, feeling the warmth of the sand beneath her, as she tried to summon Ben's face. Faintly, flickering in her mind she saw him staring at her, his dark brown eyes, his sharp nose, and high cheekbones. The lines around his mouth and eyes when he smiled, when he finally smiled, the real Ben Solo finally breaking through. His skin pale and milky white, his thick black hair falling around his face, and his lips, plump, and drawn back grinning. She saw the real Ben. The only son to Han and Leia, a perfect blend of both parents. His grin was his father's, and his eyes were his mother's. She saw the young man that had been misled, and suffered for so many years. Here was what she imagined he had been like while training for Luke, youthful, carefree, charming, cunning, and kind... Her soulmate.
Feeling her heart thump, she remembered last night in the vivid dream, Ben whispering to her, telling her that he couldn't reach her using the force, but she could find him by using her energy to protect herself into the past. She couldn't stay long or she would die...but there was a way she could return just once and see him. She was woken up before she could ask any questions, but instead she sat silently, trying to focus, desperately searching for him. She knew there were so many moments they had shared since the moment she met him, but there was one certain moment she knew she wanted to return to. She already knew what she was going to do. She would return to the very moment he saved her, but give him some of her force energy. Not all of it, just enough... She could save him, and deep inside her heart she wondered if there was a way she could save him and somehow bring him back...
"Rey..."
Rey opened her eyes, not even the slightest bit surprised to see Luke standing before her, glowing, and looking concerned with BB8 standing beside her. He folded his arms, looking down like a worried and disappointed father. Rey stared up, feeling guilty, before Luke sighed and shook his head.
"What you're attempting to do Rey could kill you...and all of this..." He motioned around before looking back down at her.
"Will be for nothing."
Rey gulped staring up.
"But it is possible?"
"Rey...time is a very sensitive thing. You need to let the past be. Ben sacrificed himself to save you...the force bond between you two was beyond powerful, but he redeemed himself, helping save you so..."
He stared down struggling with his words, tears actually showing in his eyes.
"You are as close to a daughter that I would ever have...all of the past Jedi are with you...inside your heart. The war is over Rey...now is not a time to try and tamper with the past. Let Ben rest..."
"Why hasn't he come see me? Where is he?"
Luke sighed.
"We don't know...Leia feels him, but he has yet to show himself. Be paitent Rey, continue training yourself, learn the ways of the Jedi...don't go back, it's too dangerous..."
"I love him."
Luke sighed.
"i know, and that's why he gave his life up for you..."
"He came to me in a dream last night...he told me how. I think he is trapped somewhere...I need to see him. Maybe I can..."
"Rey...please."
Rey starred up, feeling silent tears roll down her face.
"I need to at least try. I'm prepared to life a peaceful life and continue the life of a Jedi, and never forget what happened...most of all all those years ago wen this began with your father...but I need to see him at least once, my heart is broken...I need to at least try."
Sighing again, Luke knew nothing he could say would change her mind. Rey stared at him for just a moment longer, before she closed her eyes, breathing deeply, summoning her lifeforce, concentrating. She held onto Ben's shirt, and continued to breath, slowly feeling herself start to fade away...
"Be with me...be with me...let me go back...please let me go back..."
Suddenly she felt a cold wind of mist around her. She could feel the darkness, when slowly she opened her eyes...
Ben was holding her, just as he had, staring down at her with exhausted yet happy eyes. She knew where she was, she had returned and needed to act fast. She didn't have much time, but she leaned forward, touching his chest, before she began pushing some lifeforce back into the empty shell that had been Ben. She knew he was weak, and could feel his heart struggle to beat. She felt her force flow gently into him, part of her and part of him. Staring at him, she smiled.
"Ben..." They gazed into each other's eyes, before Rey leaned forward and kissed him.
It was her first kiss ever, and she felt her lips press against his plump ones, having never wanted to kiss someone, and feel them more than she had ever in her entire life. She felt pins and needles pour through her body, and find a hollow heartbeat down between her legs, a feeling she had never experienced before. Tasting him, she was able to experience the same kiss she played in her mind over and over since this had happened. She pulled back slightly and stared at him. They had won, and now they were here. She had done it, and she saw it in his eyes. He grinned, and she felt her heart pound as the true Ben Solo finally showed. Knowing time was short, she leaned forward plunging her mouth against him. Opening her lips, she felt his tongue enter her mouth, slightly surprised by her, yet responding.
Their mouths found each other, and began to frantically kiss, and taste. Rey moaned through their mouths, her hands grasping onto him as if life depended on it. Her hands clutched him, one squeezing his arm, the other plunging through his thick hair. Their lips made a wet sucking noise, before she pulled back, her lips swollen, and slick with his slip. He stared at her, slightly out of breath, before Rey pulled him backwards towards her. She struggled and grabbed onto his shirt, pulling it up. It took him a second before he pulled his shirt off and over his head before tossing it to the ground. The same shirt she had clung onto ever since she lost him. She stared at his broad wide chest, with tiny scars from his many battles. She remembered when he contacted him using their force bond and seeing him shirtless in his quarters. She had been embarrassed, asking him if he had anything to wear because that same feeling of pins and needles rushing over and body, and going straight down between her legs. It was a feeling she had never experienced, and was overwhelmed and embarrassed by it. But now, she wasn't about to waste any more time as a frightened young girl. No, she wouldn't waste this time... She stared at his body, running her hands down his chest, and slowly running down to his stomach, and seeing the tiny little bit of hair by the waistband of his slacks. As her hands continued to run down, she felt something hard and pulsing between his legs. She knew what this was, and was frightened and curious about it. She slowly raised her eyes, looking up at Ben. He looked embarrassed, yet a strange haze of hunger glimmered in his dark eyes.
"Rey..."
"Take off your pants, quick..."
She pulled him back towards her, laying on the ground...ready to do what she knew needed to be done.
