~Eclipse's POV~

I hadn't exactly been keeping track of where Toothless and I were gliding, meaning I had unintentionally drifted us too close to the Sacred Grounds, nearly rousing our Guardians and getting us both into ALOT of touble. Coming to a sudden stop, I directed Toothless to fly east from here to one of the many coves. He cast a confused glance but didn't question it immediately.

"How come we stopped back there?"

"We were coming too close to the Sacred Ground. I REALLY didn't wanna have to wake the Guardians and deal with them."

"The what?" Wait, seriously, did he not know what.. Well actually he hasn't been here before so it does make sense.. Kinda.

"The Guardians, those stone dragons on the perches there." I gestured at one with my head.

"Oh, the Sentinel's? I thought they only existed at Vanahiem."

"No they, wait you've.. Been to Vanahiem?" Toothless was the now officially the first Nightfury to enter that land. How? I knew Vanahiem had Guardian's, or Sentinel's, they've never let any dragon that didn't have a designated burial spot on the island, especially one as young and healthy as Toothless. Nightfuries always came far and wide from across Midgard to live out their final days hers. Well, when we existed throughout more than just here.

"Yeah, it was a while back, before I became an Alpha.. We went after two idiot friends when they followed an Eruptadon there. Took us ages to get out."

"How'd you even get through the Sentinel's?"

"Easy, we flew right through them."

"An Eruptadon? Didn't think any more of those guys even existed after the Extinction Event."

"Heh, you'll be surprised how many species are out there that survived."

'Really? I was sure the Extinction Event wiped out most dragon breeds across Midgard. Yeah I know it happened long, looong ago. Way back before the Humans, but still, I thought that we were amongst some of the few lucky breeds.'

"Like what?" Ones I knew didn't survive were the Triple Stryke, Skrill, and the Shellfire."

"I've seen a Skrill, Screaming Death, Bewilderbeast, Triple Stryke, Shellfire, you name it, I've probably seen and fought it."

I gulped audibly at the thought of a Screaming Death. "Dramillion?"

"Yeap."

"They survived?!" I genuinely couldn't believe what I had just heard. Dramillion's survived TWO Extinction's? First the Event and then the excessive mega hunting by the Ingermans.

"Oh yeah, they're thriving as well on their new island. Same as the Deathsong."

"Deathsong?"

"Shoots Amber, very attractive song that lures you to your death no matter how hard you try to ignore it?"

"Ooh, the Ambervoice. Deathsong actually sounds cooler than it's actual name." Ok, Toothless must've had an interesting life, and a scary one. How'd any dragon survive a Deathsong? Even Nightfuries from here that strayed tooo close to an Ambervoice's song never got away.

"I've came across a tonne of different dragons on my travels. So many dragons still exist out there."

"Wait till you see the Hidden World." I whispered under my breath. I've never actually been to the Hidden World, but I knew what it was. A land beyond the reach of the humans. It had been seiged in the past, two thousand ships designed for dragon trapping. Not one even made it down inside. It'd be stupid, suicidal and just impossible to attack.

Still had it's threats, and thats where we Nightfuries come in. If, somehow the Hidden World did get breached and needed help, we'd be the first ones there. Humans would be so sorry. The Hidden World is about as important as a King. That place gets attacked, and you can bet your tail that every able dragon in Midgard is going to it's aid.

"Hey Toothless, what's it like as an Alpha?"

"Pretty stressful." He answered honestly. "Honestly not everything it's cracked up to be. Don't know how none King's and Queens can handle it. Anyway, where we going?"

"Oh, well we're actually here, I love this Cove." I led him down towards the cove, landing on the shore and taking a quick sip of the water.

"Heh, that's uncanny. This Cove looks almost exactly like the Bonding Cove on my flock island. Coool." He took a look around, taking in the beauty of the land in the moonlight glow. This might've been the smallest cove on the island, but it was my favourite and definitely the most beautiful.

The walls were a shimmering crystal that glowed in the moonlight, and the ground was just pristine, clean grass and a waterfall to a lake filling up most of the Cove. The trees hungged the walls at fairly even intervals all along the outside, save the one large tree just opposite where we had landed. Our island had nothing on the beauty of the Hidden World, or the Serpents Island, but we were definitely up there on the list.

Looking around for Toothless, I began to panic slightly when I noticed he had escaped my view, though just before I could take to the sky or shout him, he grabbed me and threw me into the water. His laugh echoed in the background as I broke the surface, and I gave him a smirk before splashing him using my wings. He grumbled, gave me a look that read 'it's on' then pounced on me, splashing me with water.

That quickly turned into a water fight, and for what I could only assume was an hour and a half we were in the water, flinging it back and forth with our wings and tails before dragging ourselves out to try and dry off. Catching him unaware, I managed to push him back into pond before he could react.

He lunged at me, breaking the waters surface and chasing me around the cove, us both doing everything imaginable to either not get caught or catch the other. Jumping from trees, jumping at and dodging each other, determined to win. I couldn't hear my own thoughts over laughter, but I knew this was probably the most fun I had had in many years.

"Got ya!"

"Haha nope!" I darted aside at the last second, letting Toothless faceplant straight into the sand with a muffled thud. I laughed, before pouncing at him and pushing him onto his back. "Ya have to do better than that Tooth." I smirked before leaning my forepaws on him and rolling him into the pond.

"Not this time." Just as I went to get away, he wrapped his forepaws around my tail and dragged me in with a yelp. He tried to climb over me, pushing me deeper under the water to get out first, so, not wanting to lose, I clamped my jaw around his tail and dragged him back while at the same time pushing myself forwards. I heard his yelp as he soon found himself being flung back into the water just as he was getting out, and I took advantage of his brief confusion to propell meself of him and break the surface.

After a few seconds, he finally dragge himself out the pond, laying down in a moody huff beside me. "Awwh, you pouting?" I teased.

"I'm not pouting."

"Suuuure you're not, you sad cause I won?"

"I let you win."

"Oh did ya? Well how generous of you." I chuckled sarcastically. Toothless laughed lightly in response, rebuttling.

"You needed the advantage."

"How dare you." I curled my tail around me for dramatic effect, giggling softly as I tried to keep a straight face. "I did not need any advantage."

"Course you did, you couldn't wait to get on top of me." He teased, winking at the end of his comment. I blushed and tried to find a good counter.

"And I bet ya loved every second of it." I decided to play his own game, winking while moving slightly closer to him.

"Oh, and what if I did? Would we go for round two?" He laughed.

"Oh, you'd loooove that wouldn't ya? Sorry T, but I ain't interested in winning another round."

"Who said I was gonna let you win again?" He smirked playfully.

"Oh please, I know what you actually want Toothless." I shifted slightly closer to him.

"Oh, do you now? What's that?"

"You just wanna... See me wet again." I whispered into his ear, before breaking down into a fit of laughter - so intense my stomach started hurting a bit, but nowhere near enough to deter me from sharing my amusment. I tried - and failed miserably - to compose myself long enough to deliver a second flirty comment, but I could barely mamage out any coherent words admist my laughter.

Though every single laugh was instantly ripped from my throat was Toothless whispered his response. "Maybe that's exactly what I'm after." Laughter replaced by a strong blush, and his own laughter rumbling from his throat. This guy waaas goood. Gods where has he been all this time? Nïghtheart doesn't have that many colourful and actual fun dragons; Falcon, Autumn, Harpy when she's not wanting to rip everyone to shreds can actually, well, probably just as flirty as Toothless. Lea say's she's got Split personality. More like she just hates EVERYONE.

"You dirty boy."

"Thats exactly what you like about me." He smirked knowingly. "Though I'm sure thats not the only thing." He whispered, then playfully winked at me.

"You're such a flirt aint ya?"

"Well, I try not to be." He laughed softly. I hadn't even been keeping track of the time, but apparently the night was already drawing to a close. Dang, had we really been playing around all night?

"Jeez, looks like it's getting close to morning."

"We've been here ages."

"I know right, I can't remember the last time I had as much fun." I noticed Toothless smirk out the corner of my eye.

"I bet I can make it even more fun."

I raised an eyebrow, though I had an idea of what flirty comment he had planned next. "Oh yeah, and how?"

"Liiiike this." He pounced on me, pinning me beneath him and lowering his head closer to mine. While I was a blushing, startled mess, I didn't notice Toothless spread his wings and lift me off the ground, and I only woke up from my sudden daze when he dropped me right into the heart of the pond.

Breaching the surface to see him hovering there with the cutest, stupidest grin ever, I teased. "I knew it! You did wanna see me wet again!" His grin only got wider as laughter rumbled from his throat. "I hope you got a good look then." I smirked softly.

Darting out into the air, I grabbed Toothless and threw him straight into the pond, hovering in the exact same place he was just and giving my own version of his stupid but cute grin.

"Oh I did, and I didn't know you could be sooo fiesty Eclipse."

"Awwwh, too rough for you big guy? Want me to be more gentle next time?" I giggled softly, gliding over to the shore and watching the male slowly swim towards me.

"Draco no, I don't mind playing rough." He leaped out as he approached the shore, and I rolled aside at the last second for him to hit the ground with a thud.

"Don't get your hopes up T, I'm tooo much for you to handle."

"Think it's the other way round babe but if it makes you feel better."

"You seriously just call me 'babe?' Who uses that human term anyway?" Toothless done the equivalent of a shrug.

"Humans?"

"Oh, makes sense." So, here's like, the thing about Nïghtheart, humans technically shouldn't know we even exist. We do everything to keep us a secret, keep us about as Pure as Vanahiem and the Hidden World are in relation to human interaction.

Zathergar and all the Alpha's before him swore to the God's to do everything to keep this island Pure. Not like Dark Deep, or Lightning Valley, or Spine Mountains. They all let humans walk on them. Granted Lightning Valley was a death sentence to walk through the land of the Skrills - if it was anything like Nïghtheart and they were thriving in the Valley.

"Sooo anyway, what you wanna do now?"

"I don't know... Why don't you, surprise me?" I flirted.

"Don't get ahead of yourself babe. I'm still not sure you can handle me." He teased back.

"Yeah, I'm not sure you're good enough for me either. You aint got anything that makes me think you can handle a REAL Nightfury like me."

"Thank you for summing that up."

"Awww you're welcome. Now, how about we do... LEA?!"

"Whoa what? I don't wanna do your brother... Oh shit his right behind me isn't he?" I nodded slowly, gulping down the worry lodged in my throat. Oh crap crap, we said we'd be back before sunrise.

Ok, this can't look for from his point of view. We're both soakiing wet, we're in one of the Coves, and we've been gone for basically the whole night, and not to mention we're still freaking both soaking wet. "What have you two been doing? Why are you... Actually you know what? Nevermind.. I'm gonna leave you two lovebirds alone and go talk to Hawk and help out the island..

Ok, did he actually like, leave without even having a go at Toothless. Who knew he could be so reasonable?

"I don't wanna be uncle anytime soon!"

"Oh god no don't worry about that!" I shouted back.

"Hey!" I smirked smugly at him. "I hate you." He pouted.

"Love you too."

"Well I mean, who wouldn't love this perfect example of a Nightfury?"

"Pretty much anyone with taste?" I joked, nudging what would be his shoulder. He pouted, then responded.

"I guess that explains why you love me so much then." He smiled happily.

"Don't get your hopes up Tooth."

"I'll try not to get you all worked up as well then.."

"Oh you aint gotta worry your pretty little tail about that." I laughed.

He smirked, teasing me again with "Oh and by the way, you look REAL good when you're wet." After sharing a final playful wink and a laugh, he darted into the sky. Shaking my head in amusement, I tracked him for a few seconds before darting upwards after him.
