Go Demon Possible
Chapter 3
Second Meeting on an Island
Four years ago
Shego was currently in a lair different than most of the others that they'd been using, Drakken had been getting his plans stomped out over and over again by a teenage hero by the name of Kim Possible for almost a year now, this caused all of his plans to be for absolutely nothing. All the money that he saved up had begun to run out and his plans have stalled, now the mad scientist is trying to get some get rich quick schemes up and running instead of stealing the money from a bank or something easy like that, but apparently that was a no on that plan.
So here she was, in a lower end lair and going through the computer on something else, ever since that one heist gone bad that had that one guy almost get her caught, she was determined to find out what black market he was talking about, all she found was vague references to one. It didn't even get a name, just a bunch of conspiracy theorists surmising that a black market group with dealings in every country's economy, armies, government, and even most religious groups are all working for them, and after all of that the damn thing doesn't even have a name.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrr," Shego growled out before slamming her fists hard onto the keyboard, "how hard is it to find some secret black market, you'd think that they'd at least have a damn name," she began to go through the dark web again in search of anything at all that may help her.
"Shego," the voice of her boss, Dr. Drakken, yelled at her from across the room, he stormed in holding a letter, "who did you tell our address, we're supposed to be laying low right now you know," he came in and slammed the letter down on the table so she could see the thing.
The letter in question was all black with a pair of red dice with a black outline on them, the only other bit of color it had on it was her name in white, which was strange to see since anything addressed to her is usually in dark to neon green, or black, her name doesn't look good in white. It was also highly suspicious as well since they just moved in here yesterday and she hadn't even had the chance to let the magazines know where she was, so she could only stare at the little letter in suspicion until Drakken had enough of the staring and just decided to speak up about it.
"It's a letter Shego, it's not going to bite you," Drakken stated before taking a letter opener and just cut the top of the letter open and pulled out… something that was most definitely not a letter but a round metal device that began to beep, slow beeps at first, but got faster and faster each moment.
"Get down," Shego yelled before grabbing the device and throwing it in a random direction and pulling Drakken down and let him hide under the table just in time for the device to blow with a huge BOOM, which blew open the door to their lair at that moment, kicking up dust everywhere.
Both were coughing from the attack when they heard the sound of boots against synthetic rock as a stranger was walking in, Drakken was the first to regain his senses, and looked up at the man who just entered his layer after nearly blowing them up, he was very tall, like a very tall man. He had blue jeans and a large overcoat that was nothing more than a regular coat on him, wore sunglasses that hid his eyes but you could tell that there was nothing behind them, he was just walking in like it was nothing, until he stopped in front of a down Shego and nudged her with a foot.
Shego groaned as she rose, feeling the nudge of a big boot to get her moving, and when she was just bent over and rose to full height, knew she was outclassed by the shadow that stood over her, looming like nothing she had ever experienced before, but knew the feeling it brought her, fear. It was a crushing fear brought about by looking into his eyes, or at least what would pass for his eyes with sunglasses on, but he gave not a single indication that he was blinking as he reached down and grabbed Shego's neck in a bone crushing grip that just about broke her own neck.
"Come to these coordinates next week or you will be hunted down like a mad dog," the man's voice was deep and broke no room for arguments before unceremoniously dropping the green girl onto the floor before walking away as if nothing happened, not even looking back to see the two.
Shego watched him walk away with wide eyes as she rubbed at her neck, who was that, and what coordinates, all she saw was the remnants of the black letter, she hurriedly snatched it up and looked inside, sure enough there was a string of numbers written in there, longitude and latitude.
"Shego," Drakken whined from where he was just looking on without doing anything, "who did you piss off now," that question earned him a plasma bolt to the back that caused him to fall down and slide a bit before hitting his head on a table that held some sort of device.
Next week
Shego could be seen flying the hovercraft in the direction of the coordinates given to her by the stranger but all the maps said there was nothing there, no island, no ship, nothing there except ocean, so the only thing she could see was that it was cloaked, possibly invisible until you're there. She didn't know why she was even doing this, other than the being hunted like a mad dog part, and even then that was something she was used to, but the way he said it sent a shiver of fear up her spine, plus that guy must work for the organization she's been searching for, no other explanation. So she'll go to wherever the location was and talk with these people that obviously held influence and could easily tell her what she wanted to know, so the plan was to obviously go, get, and remain on their good sides, then find that short guy again and take him down.
Sadly though, the only thing that seems to be out here is a weird rock formation, and was it her imagination or was it getting bigger and she was going nowhere near the speed that it should be getting bigger in accordance with an approach, "is that how they cloak the place, dumb," she commented. She got closer and closer and found the rock formation had one specific thing hanging from an above rock formation, it was a body, being hung by the neck, "what the hell is with this place," she was going to just hover along, until she found a building, labeled Hotel Kubikukuri.
Shego landed at the front and just walked through the sliding door, in it was filled with fancy furniture and people walking around to get to a television, a large screen in the center of the lobby, "may I help you miss," someone on her left asked her, it was a plain looking man, a host.
"Yeah, I was… asked to come here by a tall man with sunglasses and a long coat, know him," Shego asked and everyone turned to her after she said that, both hotel customers and staff, it was as if she was a new girl in school kind of stare, and not in a good way, like in a very bad way.
"That would be the younger Toguro brother, if he asked you to come then might I please have your name, I will see if your hotel room is ready," the man asked and she just said it was Shego, he brought out a chart, "awe yes, your room is ready, but the tournament has begun already." Wait, what tournament, she didn't come here to jump through a bunch of hoops, "the box you're looking for is marked on this map," the man handed her the map and she saw that it was a viewing box she was going to be viewing a fighting tournament, but why invite her to this thing. "Here is your ticket and a plus-one incase a friend comes and doesn't have their own ticket, your complimentary poncho in case you wish to sit with the lower classes and I must remind you that your safety is not guaranteed outside of this hotel, thank you," she grabbed the tickets from him.
"Hmph," she huffed as she turned and got out of the hotel and into her hovercraft, taking off at full speed to make it to the tournament, and when she finally got there, she halted the craft as soon as she saw who was the audience to this fighting tournament, or should she say what was. What was before her was a large crowd, a crowd that ranged from horned, winged, cyclopes, triclopes, quite a few lizardmen and catmen as well, actually there seemed to be no two creatures exactly alike, it was staggering to see that true monsters were alive and walking on the Earth.
That was when a blinking on one part of the stadium got her attention, it was code meant for pilots coming in on landing, telling her to park in a designated area, when she got there, everything got strange as lizardmen in security uniform came up to her, she got ready for a fight. What she didn't expect was for one to hold out his hand and ask, "invitation or ticket please," Shego almost punched out of reflex, but she caught herself in time, handed her the ticket she got, "VIP special guest, you're a little late but whatever," he gave her the ticket back and walked away.
"What the hell is going on here," she muttered to herself as she began walking to where her viewing box was, thankful for her map leading the way since this place was huge and she'd sure got lost in it, she finally found the door and decided to knock as she didn't want to barge in.
"Do come in," a rough and handsome voice called out from the other side, she opened the door and met the definition of billion dollar handsome, long dark hair, gorgeous yet soulless eyes, a scar on his right eye, and a suit that he wore so well he looked to have stepped out of magazines. "Aw, you must be Shego, I've been informed you were trying to find us for a year with no luck," the man gave off a light smile that many would find disarming, she found it disturbing, "allow me to introduce myself, I'm Sakyo, member of the organization known as the Black Black Club."
The name itself was a bit silly, but it also held with it a certain weight, a weight that came with dread and a feeling of death at the very dealings with these people, "so I'm being punished for looking into you guys, or is this an invitation," Shego guessed that would be a logical response.
"No, I've simply brought you here because when you began looking into us, it was after a heist gone wrong, if I'm not mistaken," how did this Sakyo know about that, she didn't tell anyone, at least no one that could blab, "we watch a lot of things if you're wondering how we knew. I'm not about to kill someone for jut being curious, but I'm also not about to let you get away while thinking you can snoop whenever you want, so as a catch I've talked with someone and they've agreed to something, you're going to be an alternate fighter to a team here."
"Hell no, I'm not fighting monsters just because you can't handle that I'm curious about another black market," Shego denied before the door behind her was slammed shut and she turned to see the man from before standing there, shades and coat and all, even had the same blank face on.
"It wasn't a request, this isn't a negotiation, and the only choice you have is that or death, I'm sure you remember Toguro here well," Sakyo waited on her response, Toguro had the ability to kill her before she could blink, and she must know that, she had no option here to deny them.
Shego thought about it, if what he's saying is true, she might just die, for the enjoyment of monsters, but at the same time she also has a chance to not die, "fine, whatever," she crossed her arms and looked the man dead in the eye, "so who am I fighting with," she asked the man.
"They're fighting right now actually, come to the window and see just who you might be partnered up with should a member die suddenly," Sakyo said that like there's and inside joke between him and Toguro, and there was, Shego didn't get it and didn't like it as she watched the match. "You can hear what your team will be saying and here are their files," he got a yellow folder out and dropped it on a table in front of her, "we'll leave you alone so that it's a private conversation, they'll be made aware of your status after the match," the two left after that.
"Will the next fighters please come forward," the ref announced with enthusiasm, either team moved a muscle, so she announced again, "next fighters forward," again nobody moved and she was getting frustrated at this development, "hello, what's a girl gotta do to get some new blood."
Just then, Zeru jumped up to the ring and walked to the center trying to look intimidating, "what, their team leader is fighting now," Kurama commented clearly a little disturbed by this development, and rightly so since Shego was getting some very serious vibes from him.
"But he should go last, maybe there's a mistake," Kuwabara said as he too was disturbed, according to the file on him, there was really just no way he could have that good of grades and still be that big of an idiot, but according to the file he was really that stupid, what and idiot.
"No, Zeru is definitely the strongest of the four remaining, he's fighting angry, and it's obvious he's not taking this seriously enough," Hiei said with an almost smile on his normally stoic face, wait, that's the little punk that she got robbed of her prize from, she's fighting with him now.
"Yes and we're just the picture of professionalism," Botan commented as Yusuke continued to sleep, the file says that she's a true honest to god grim reaper and the boy is a punk kid and the strongest fighter on the team, yet the boy is just sleeping the matches away like an idiot.
"Urameshi team, can we get on with it here," the ref asked as she was clearly getting impatient, apparently her name was Koto and a fox spirit that clearly catered to the blood guts and gore fashion to these monsters, she looked like every weeboo nerds dream girl, terrific.
"I'll go, this ones been irritating me ever since last night," Hiei said as he threw his blue scarf off of him and jumped in the ring, hugh, blue didn't look to bad on him, black was definitely his color but blue looked good on him as well, but it's not like she cared or anything, right?
"Team Rokuyokai's Zeru, team Urameshi's Hiei," the ref announced to the fans, the monsters all cheered loudly as they were sure someone was going to die this time, apparently the last fight had some complications and it didn't end in the way they wanted, monsters are not good.
The two stared each other down until Hiei spoke up, "I know a great deal about your technique. You harnessed heat energy with such great precision that it resembled a knife cut, but one of the edges were sloppily melted, you have your flaws," Hiei clearly wanted to get the guy on edge.
"As do you, I don't think I need advice from someone who has to use a fake eye," Zeru insulted, wait, in the file it says that he has a third eye too, apparently it's not his actual eye though so what was it, and what procedure would allow a third eye to be connected to someone.
"Fight," the announcer ordered, and just as she said it, Zeru ignited into flames and forced her to back up and fall out of the ring as many in the audience began to feel the heat coming off the guy, even Shego could feel it on the top floor of the arena, it was firepower she never had.
Hiei just stood there passively as Zeru said, "not intimidated yet," before cranking up the heat and sending even more flames from his body Hiei just chuckled at his opponents attempt, "I wouldn't laugh just yet," Zeru said as he brought forth fire from his hands and shot it towards him.
The ref came back into the ring and announced, "unfortunately Hiei was not chard by the fire, but there is more coming his way," indeed there was more coming his way, but he was easily able to leap, sidestep, and overall avoid getting hit, one blast hit the roof and fell into the crowd.
Shego couldn't help but comment "these are some good seats," as she noticed that no blast was sent her way, she's sure that the box wasn't reinforced like the others were she's sure, and yet she was unsure of if she herself could survive a fireball from that guy, or if anybody could.
Hiei landed in the ring and looked rather board to be honest, while Zeru lightly chuckled, "Zeru's blows were fantastic, and Hiei was running for his life, along with a good deal of the fanbase," the ref announced as it was true, with a form of audience participation that just wasn't right.
"You've gotten so quiet, too frightened to notice any more of my supposed flaws," Zeru asked as he charged up another flame attack, his control over fire was incredible, Shego herself could use plasma bolts, but that was just that, small bolts of plasma was nothing to these monsters.
"Actually I'm bored," Hiei stated stoically and Shego had to blanch at that, this guy was throwing fireball after fireball at him and he was bored, who in their right mind would be bored, though these monsters all look to be tougher the longer she stayed, she just hoped she would fight.
"Actually you're dead," Zeru stated as he unleashed a massive wave of fire into the air and made a massive cloud of fire, he concentrated while bringing his hands together with his left fist into his right palm, this was a massive attack coming that would either be good or bad for everyone.
The fire was being sucked back into his body directly and made the ref ask, "what's this," just as Zeru's skin and body began to change into a dark red hue, "his skin is changing and he seems to be engulfed in heat," she said as he was standing there covered in a red aura.
Instantly, Zeru shot forward and impaled his hand into Hiei's gut and out his back, he ignited into flames and was sent flying back as time seamed to slow down for Shego, "I'm not finished yet," the fire demon said before sending a concentrated blast of fire and seemingly disintegrating Hiei.
"Wow Zeru, you never told us you could be so savage," Koto seemed shock by it before she yelled out, "I love it," okay, Shego officially hated this bitch, "you see it yourself people, Hiei is done," this tournament was clearly no joke, it's one thing to hear about death, but seeing it is another.
"Huh, what a weak thing," Zeru spat out in contempt at the guy he just murdered, wait, that meant that since she's the alternate, she'll have to fight guys just as if not more powerful, "you can rest in hell," the monster turned away after that and began walking out of the ring.
Koto noticed this and got over her own shock at seeing such brutality, "oh, well yes, that fight wasn't a long one but when you've got scorching moves like Zeru's, a little goes a long way," this was a terrible thing, now she had to fight these monsters and die, because she had to snoop.
The arena seemed to get a different presence now, it got warmer but everyone now got chills when they heard Hiei bone chilling voice, "yes," he came out in a torrent of burning flames, still burning all over as he stated, "he's so talented that I'm reluctant to make the kill."
Everyone else was shocked, especially his opponent and the ref, "oh my, Hiei survived, he's on his feet, he's smoldering," she announced as Shego thanked that little monster privately for sparing her fighting monsters and dying herself, though him still burning wasn't a good sign to her.
Zeru looked back and saw that he was standing there smirking, "my fire, you survived it all, but how could you," that is when Shego realized it, this little guy was a fire user as well, one even more talented than maybe this Zeru guy, the file didn't say he was, just a gifted swordsmen.
Just then a black flame burned the band from his forehead to reveal his Jagan eye, "I believe we've covered that, so my Jagan eye may not be natural, but it does give me exactly what I need," the arena grew brighter from the force of his power, "Dragon of the Darkness Flame!"
"I don't believe it's true, he's going to attempt the Darkness technique," Kurama stated in shock as Botan herself stood there in shock at not knowing about the technique but also feeling the importance of it, Shego herself felt the world go cold and life begin to be sucked out of the air.
Hiei raised his hand to just in front of him palm facing up as dark flames began emitting from it, all the while having a nasty grin filled with malice and thoughts of bloodshed in his own head "black flames, but they're from the deepest pits of spirit world, oh help me," Zeru was terrified.
The sky darkened as Hiei unleashed black flames from his hands and black pillars of energy shot forth from the sea and into the sky all around the island, "you know it's impossible to control it completely, once I release it I have no say," Hiei said as his hand shook from the power of the flames. Black lightning seemed to crackle and unleash everywhere around them as everything went ominous, "I have the power to pull you into oblivion, I assume just my right arm will do," now Zeru was really scared and in the truest pits of despair as he stood motionless before him. "You should never have insulted the Jagan eye, because you see, in a way it has its own mind and loathes disrespect, resisting it is not something I would do," Hiei said just as ominously as Zeru let out a muffled scream from fright, and even Shego was fighting that urge right now.
"I realize that I'm supposed to stay, but in light of this situation we have here, retreat," Koto declared before bolting out of the ring and hid behind the height of the ring as cover and let what was about to happen go down without her witnessing it, though Shego wouldn't done the same.
"Dragon," Hiei started as his shirt was forcibly removed from his body from the power and gave any girl a good show with his body, "Of The Darkness Flame," a good sized dragon made from black flames and had a sense of death shot forth from his hand and headed for Zeru.
Zeru had no time to dodge or move as the flame engulfed him in sent his ashes to the side wall of the arena, the rest of the arena shook violently as the dragon erupted in power and when it was done, the only thing left of the leader of team Rokuyuakai was his outline from the attack.
Koto crawled back into the ring and noticed that the combatant missing was Zeru, "where's Zeru," before spotting the impact point of the dragon and said, "there's his outline at least," not knowing he's dead, "well he's definitely out of the ring," she said, clearly not realizing what happened.
"Believe me, he's not coming back, that cinder is all that's left," Hiei said as he studied his burned hand, wait, if he's a fire monster then shouldn't he be impervious to fire, or was that technique truly that powerful that it even burned a fire monster, what was this place exactly?
"Yes then I suppose counting to ten would be a little ridiculous, let's give it up for Hiei," Koto announced as Hiei still kept looking at his right arm, it looked bad and he'd be lucky if he ever was able to use that hand again, even luckier if he actually managed to make a full recovery.
"Yeah, we're punching our way to the top, Hiei can beat anybody with that move," Kuwabara said before deflating, "Hiei can beat anybody with that move, am I listening to myself, what if he decides to be a bad guy again, what if he decides to shoot us with the dragon," he exclaimed.
Hiei came up to them and said, "don't worry fool, we've entered into an alliance and I'm not the type to break it, of course after we win the tournament I can't guarantee a thing," and with that he walked off of the ring again with a wince, and again this place got crazier and crazier.
For the rest of these fights Shego focused mainly on Hiei, even as the drunk stumbled out and Urameshi finally woke up, the two had quite the fight, drunk fighting wasn't really impressive, but from that fight, it was just something else entirely, there's drunk fighting and then drunk powers. Drunk was putting it mildly when he already downed what he called Ogre Killer, then it got really heated when both combatants were drained of energy and resorted to a knife edge deathmatch, beating each other up with fists that just screamed male macho ego and pride, not bad though.
When Urameshi finally won via a headbutt, and the drunkards head cracking the pavement, a very important note Shego added mentally, it was finally time for the fight to be over and for her to meet her new team that can and would most likely kill her if she played this wrong. It wasn't long before a knock was on her door, the man that knocked didn't wait before opening the door, he was more akin to a teenager than he was a man though, with a capital Jr on his forehead, he was garbed in blue and red attire, a complete opposite from Sakyo.
"You must be Shego," Jr commented as a blue ogre type of monster stepped through the door as well, "my name is Koenma and this is my assistant Ogre," the villainess nodded at the information and as a confirmation, "to be honest you don't look like a fighter, and I'm not fond of this."
"You and me both, I got dragged here after snooping around the Black Black Club, as they are apparently called, and then get told I'm an alternate fighter, either that or death, so not a fan of this Sakyo guy," Shego commented back, while not mentioning her powers, they wouldn't help.
"Then you know that, should a member actually die, you'll be walking to your death anyway," the way he said it was completely harsh and emotionless as well, before his face turned bright and he smiled, "but let's hope it doesn't come to that, come, I'll introduce you to the team."
The guy just turned around and motion for her to follow, she did so and followed them out of the viewing boxes and they intended to head back to the hotel by foot, until she spoke up, "you do know I drove here right, I can fly us back," the guy looked back and nodded.
The walk to where she parked was easy, she memorized the map during the boring parts of that Yusuke's match, the ride to the hotel was much worse with the ogre continuing to yelp at every turn, and Koenma yelling at him to shut up, she should have just let them walk there instead. Then they arrived at the hotel just in time for team Urameshi to get there as well, limping or helping others limp through the door as well, and Koenma called out to them, "Yusuke, it's good to see that you've won your first match, I hope that the others will follow more smoothly though."
"Yeah, pacifier breath, there a reason for the personal visit or did you just come to show off a new assistant," Yusuke stated back with no respect for the person that supposedly owns the team, though Shego growled back at being assumed she was an assistant rather than a villainess.
"I thought you'd have been caught a year ago," Hiei stoically stated as he stared at her, she glared back at the fire demon, not at all wanting to deal with this ass now that she was forced to work with him, "you hear to steal another phony relic or was there an actual relic you're stealing."
Shego couldn't take it anymore, she marched up to him and didn't say a single word before bringing her foot up, hard, fast, and she had to give the guy credit, he took the pain well, for a kick to the dick like it was, "that's for alerting the cops on me, fire bastard," she stormed off.
She barely heard Koenma starting to explain to the rest of the team while Kurama checked on Hiei, "well, to make a long story short, Sakyo gets to choose our alternate fighter, and the girl was snooping around, so she's our alternate," they all blanched and looked to her retreating form.
Present
Ron and Kim had their jaws dropped at what she finally ended her story with, "yeah, being in the tournament like that was both exciting and terrifying, you have no idea the kind of monsters and demons that I watched kill one another," Shego mentioned again while shivering at the memory.
"Wait, monsters and demons are real," Kim was in disbelief, "sure, aliens are one thing, but an entire black market that sold demons as slaves while also setting them up to kill one another is a bit out there," she commented before Shego pointed to a picture on the wall beside of the stairs.
"Those were friends that me and my husband made back during a trip I took to their world for another tournament, they look human to you," she asked as the two teen heroes looked at said picture, not a single one looked human, humanoid at least, but not a one looked human.
"This is so messed up, so the afterlife is a real thing, what about hell, is there a hell, am I going to hell," Ron asked in a ramble as he began to freak out, and now his brain shut down for a reboot, understandable since not many can handle that revelation, not many would want to.
"Believe me," a new voice belonging to said man their discussion was about walked down the stairs, "that's going to be the least disturbing thing you're made aware of today," Hiei didn't even bat an eye as he walked past the two of them and went to his loving wife, who bonked his head.
"I thought you said that you wouldn't get caught on this mission," Shego asked him rhetorically as she glared down, "you said, and I quote, "there is no way the humans and their pathetic technology could see me, it's just a simple hunt and kill mission," and what did I say back?"
Hiei glared up at her before turning away with a huff, "you said that humans were smarter than I give them credit for," he then acknowledged the other two, "I assume they're the ones that found out," he glared at them before moving to the kitchen, the entire time he never stopped glaring.
Shego sighed, "I don't know what I'm going to do with him, love him to death, but he still has that pride of his," he then turned to the other two who just stood there with their jaws unhinged, "oh yeah, that's my husband, Hiei Jaganshi, love of my life and most prideful person you'll meet."
