The doctor, happy that she knew where she was, decided to walk on away from the Tardis, so that she could explore, in hopes of learning what had actually befallen Pii'wan.

As the doctor snakes on through this thick dense forest, taking a trail only she could see, the light of the sun is only slightly visible now through the gaps in the dense forest above.

.

The doctor just as she pushed ahead through the thick undergrowth of forest floor, comes face-to-face with a group of large monstrous figures of true wild nature, with each figure having white distinctive horns protruding out of the top of their heads, large grey eyes, with their skin being covered with a brown mud colour with leaves and foliage.

Now with no true grounds to be fearful or worried of these earthly-mud type figures, the doctor approached them welcomingly. "Oh hi there, care to introduce yourselves?" she stated, her hand out ready to greet those before her.

However, these mud-like figures, the Kay'lah, had been ordered by their leader Mosrak to take down and capture their enemy, the mind of their ruler wanting to reign over all, and had ultimately thrust the whole of Pii'wan into war and division.

At first sight the Kay'lah treats the stranger to Pii'wan as hostile, with the doctor instantly finding herself surrounded by the race, all with their weapons tightly held in hand, pointing right at her.

"An intruder, hey!" were the words of the group's clear leader, as he dismissed the gesture of the doctor.

"I wouldn't go that far.' commented the doctor in reply.

"Then who are you… and what is the purpose of your presence here on Pii'wan?" asked the leader, in a stern tone of voice, the mud-being standing tall with his hands behind his back.

"Purpose?" the doctor here scratching the back of her head, taken back by the group's hostile stance.

"You wish to withhold information!"

"No… that is not my aim.' commented the doctor, holding out her arms to calm them. 'I am merely a traveller that's all, no one of any true important, nor special interest either really… just passing through these parts and thought I'd better say hello!"

"A traveller… Do you wish to mock me… is this nothing more than a joke to you, hmmm stranger!?"

"Please, I meant no offence… that I promise you." stated the doctor meaningfully.

.

However, it was all too clear to the doctor that they solely saw her as an intruder, and that these mud-like people were driven sadly by war and conflict.

The group's leader here clicked his fingers. "Arrest her!' The leader stating his order. 'our general has the mains and power to get the truth from you!"

The doctor knew that she couldn't give what this race wanted a clear chance to take arms and so held up her hands in surrender. 'Another race… another strike... a race driven to invade… a strike force driven to conquer… I should have known that's why the Tardis brought me here!' there was actually a slight frown to the doctor's normally calm and passive face.

A soldier stepped forward, roped restraints in his hands. He instantly took a firm heavy hold of the doctor, and never held back.

"Hey watch it will you!" called out the doctor, not happy being manhandled like this. The mud-like being said nothing in reply, all he did was give the doctor a cold deep stare, as he tightened the ropes around her wrists and neck.

.

The doctor was led away by the Kay'lah's and taken to join a group of bird-like beings, all were bound, as she was, with the tightly wound rope, the doctor instantly saw that this race were the mud-like being's enemy.

.

As the prisoners walked on, in a line, their captor's, these vast mud-like beings, held their weapons tightly in hand, aimed to show might and power; as well as to install fear into their prisoners.

.

The doctor as she eyed up these beings, knew that she had to learn more, and so she quickened up her pace, to now walk alongside a fellow prisoner of feather. "What is going on here?" she asked of this man.

The male cast the doctor a side glance and then looked forward yet again, a drop of the planet's sun seen in his eye. "War!" was this being's one word reply.

"Between who?" she asked, with a true want and need to get to the bottom of what was happening, so that she might be in some better position to help.

The prisoner upon hearing this cast the doctor a look of confusion, one to say 'what you don't know.'

"Sorry, look as you can see, I'm not from around here, and our jailers weren't forth coming on details when I was first tied up." The doctor here would have cast a hand down her front if her hand's weren't tightened in these bounds.

.

However, before the doctor could ask any further questions, a nearby Kay'lah soldier turned back as he heard their whispers; his gaze prominent enough to be seen by the prisoner.

"Shhh…" sounded off this male Reunet to the doctor. The prisoner being so fearful of the Kay'lah's wrath, even choosing to pick-on up his pace, so that he would be creating some distance between him and this stranger to Pii'wan.

The doctor looked a little disgruntled at this, but she could in a way understand the male's fear here for their captors.

.

Another Reunet then came to the doctor's side, the female Reunet, Kanah, who had heard the ladies comments of being a stranger. "A traveller hey, from a far… come to save us...' she saw the lady nod. Then Kanah here looked around, slightly confused. 'But then traveller, where are your troops… where are your weapons?" she asked of the stranger, sounding somewhat hopeful of backup, that a saviour had come to Pii'wan.

The doctor shook her head. "There are no other soldiers, miss, just me… I'm here on my own… as no soldier nor as a warrior! Like I was saying, I'm a traveller… just exploring really.' The doctor here would have normally held out a kind hand to greet the lady, but with her hands bound in rope it was sadly not possible, and so stated who she actually was. 'I'm the doctor."

.

The soldier as he again came to hear further whispering amongst his enemy, had become tired and disgruntled of this new stranger's blatant disregard of his call for silence, and the power he should hold over her as her captor. 'How dare they keep on talking… they should fear our powerful stance, our mighty stature, as my leader states it should be!' were his thoughts, and he wished to silence them, silence their tongue, "Shhhh, damn you!' came the sharp sound of silence by the male soldier, now casting them a look, one equalling his driven thoughts 'or, i'll show you the costs of talking out of line!"

.

The doctor at first looked on in front, actually daring for a second to hold gaze with the soldier's, with the doctor even planning to say something sharp in response, but ultimately she thought better of it, lowering her gaze, as she didn't wish to put the female in danger. "Now, keep moving,' here taking a hand and with it pointing on. 'Damn your eyes!" Were the words of the Kay'lah soldier.

Here the doctor and Kanah hastily moved on.

But as the two moved on forward together, the Kay'lah, here instantly made sure that there was some distance between the Reunet and the stranger to Pii'wan, by stepping in close and with his weapon in hand, he used it to nudge them hard in each of their sides, so that there was no further talking between them.

"Your march isn't for much longer... a life of work awaits you... Ha, in the glory of the Kay'lah!" All in the soldier's aim to show off his power over them.

.

The Reunet were forced to trudge on in the heat of the planet's sun, which was truly immense, with no shelter from it.

They had been made to stay down on the hard sandy ground by the Kay'lah, rather than high in the trees where they were more comfortable, their feet not designed for this, and many felt the soreness.

The sun as it continued to burn down on them slowly curved over the Pii'wan sky and by the end of the day it cast the surface in a dark blue and purple dusk, and as night fell the chilled air offered some relief.
