Diana was a witch Lambda had met a long time ago in the senate. She looked like a young girl but she was even older than Lambda. They used to exchange letters with frequency, Diana was good at finding good restaurants and she always recommended Lambda great places.

Finally, after several tries she answered the phone.

"Hello, Hello , you're talking with Diana the witch of illusions."- answered her cheerfully.

"Haha, of course I know with whom I'm talking~. How are you going Lady Diana, here is Lambda-chan!"

"Ohh, Lady Lambdadelta what a pleasure to hear you. Do you want us to go to a new restaurant together?"- asked Diana.

"Sure! We can do that after the next meeting in the senate. Anyway, I'm calling you for asking for something~"

"Oh my, what is it?"-asked Diana intrigued.

"Have Lady Bernkastel called you or tried to contact you?"-asked Lambda a little bit nervous.

"Oh yes, she did! I guess that Thomas boy from the last game we played together gave her my number. Please tell him to stop doing that, that was not the first time. The other time he even…"

Lambda interrupted her vigorously.

"What did she say?"-asked.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, I don't remember. I think it was some time ago. Maybe it was something about a game or so. She asked me for more telephone numbers but I didn't give her any, I don't like doing that! I hate when that Thomas or other people do that. It's like everyone can contact me. I have no privacy! The telephone always ringing and ringing, that's why sometimes I don't even answer my calls. The other day…"

Diana was so talkative that Lambdadelta had to interrupt her again

"Lady Diana"-she said- "Do you have any idea of why she called you? At least the tone of her voice"

"Well…..all I can remember it's that she was kind of worried or upset"

Lambdadelta sighed. All this situation was so confusing.

"If it helps you"-said Diana suddenly- "I saw her some centuries ago in the City of Books, she was reading the most popular one. I guess she was reading it again, because all witches from the senate have read the Tale of Men without Soul from the early witch life.

Bernkastel re-reading a book?. Lambdadelta couldn't believe what she was hearing. As long as Lambdadelta knew Bernkastel used to turn to the City of Books when she didn't have other choice. Lambda truly started to worry. Could it be that her beloved girl was in danger of death of boredom? Could she be dead by now?

"Lady Lambda? Are you there?"

Lambda was succumbing in her thoughts and had forgotten to reply to Diana.

"Pardon me"- answered her- " Yes, I am here. I will tell Thomas what you said. Now I need to leave. Thanks for your help"

"That would be very helpful, thanks Lady Lambdadelta"- replied Diana- " See you soon~"

Lambda hung up the phone. Diana was the last key she had in the troublesome mystery. She had no idea what to do next. All the information available was that Bernkastel did this some centuries ago, she was flustered or upset , was looking for her and she was seen re-reading in the city of Books.

Actually, it was not accurate to call "books" the one of the City of Books. They may look like books, some of them were huge though. However, they were fragments with stories. In other words, they were universes enclosed in a book vessel. Witches of the Senate could enter the city. They could even borrow them, though it was hard to do so. The City of Books was quite strict with the lending policy. However, Bernkastel was a miko of Auaurora. It was very possible that she had some benefits and could borrow them freely.

Could it be that Bernkastel had taken the book and still have it with her? All the books were registered and could be trackable in case of loss. Could Lambda find Bern with this possibility?

Lambda was not sure if the plan would work, but she would give it a try.

Next stop will be the City of Books!
