Warning: It's super long haha

What's a poor little orphan boy like me gonna do when offered a crap ton of money to marry the gorgeous daughter of the yakuza head?

Well... I think the answer's obvious.

Alright! I know what you're thinking!

"Naruto! Money can't buy love!"

And if I'm right, then... You're right, too.

*Ki-n ko-n~!

The school bell rang, indicating the end of the school day, sounds of chairs being pushed back and pitter patter of footsteps were followed by multiple sighs of relief as senior high teens flooded the hallways.

"Mahh, Sasuke-teme" A blonde boy called out "Give yourself a little purpose and help me with homework, will'ya?"

A ravenette closed his locker door shut as he tapped the tip of his foot onto the floor to fit his shoe before looking at his friend with bored onyx eyes, and then, he said, ever so bluntly- "No"

"E-Ehhh?!?! Come on, teme!" The blonde whined as he yelled for the retreating ravenette, but with a strong huff of defeat, Naruto groaned and shoved his feet into his shoes as he slammed shut his locker.

"Fuck you, you useless teme..." He thought.

"Too much for passin' at least one homework-ttebayo" The young Uzumaki chuckled to himself with a cheeky grin as he casually walked home with his arms crossed behind his head, "It's not like Tsunade-baa-chan's gonna kick me anyway, she loves me too much, hehehehe..."

He suddenly paled as his grin turned crooked, stopping dead on his tracks at the sudden realization, "Crap, Tsunade-baa might literally kick me, dattebayo!"

Then he shrugged, carelessly walking again with his eyes closed, "I'll blame Teme, if I go down, I'll drag him down with me"

Konoha City is one of the more quiet yet extremely wealthy cities in Japan, residential to big time business families, clans, and a few middle class people.

It was only because of one of the city's most prominent influencers, the late Sarutobi Hiruzen, who took pity on a little boy on the streets and gave him a home, and the famous porn writer, Jiraya, who just so happened to be his assigned Godfather and only showed up twelve years after his birth, was able to fund his school fees in a local private school, and that is- of course- with a very high discount from the principal, Senju Tsunade, who was a close friend of the old man and also was the old lady who Naruto helped get back her purse by stealing it back from the snatcher.

Long story short, Naruto has a lot of connections.

But of course, big cities could also mean big trouble, and by big trouble, he means-

"KYAAAAAH!!!"

Naruto's head perked up as he heard multiple feminine screams, and as he looked ahead, he saw Sakura and Ino, both girls from his class, running the opposite direction from where loud crashes and multiple gasps and screams were heard.

"What's wrong?!" Naruto asked, seeing the distressed looks on the girls, Sakura grabbed him by his collar and frantically yelled "We gotta get to Sasuke-kun and his family! Someone 'oughta stop them!"

"The guy's gone crazy!" Ino screeched "He's trying to kill Hinata!"

"Hinata!" Panic surged all throughout his body along with adrenaline and haste, and without second thought, he ran towards the direction of the ruckus.

"Naruto! No! Don't! It's between yaku-!" "We have to go! We need Sasuke-kun!"

Naruto knows Hinata, she's also in his class. Weird girl, to say the least. Actually, he's known her since he got into private school. And all he can say was that she was one of the kindest people, if not, is, who always knew how to motivate her classmates with her cute little ways and shy cheers.

Shoving through a group of nosy people circling around two fighting teens, Naruto felt nothing but rage as he saw the dainty girl get thrown across the street and harshly against a wall, all bloody and weak, coughing out some red as she landed on all fours to the ground.

A tall brunette man then towered over her with a murderous look as he pulled his leg back to kick the stomach of the poor little bluenette, but before his foot came into contact with the girl, he was suddenly tackled down.

Multiple surprised gasps came into life as Naruto took the man, obviously a senpai from his school, by surprise, tackling him into the ground and choking him with his arms around the brunette's neck.

Feeling a powerful elbow hit his stomach, the blonde's grip faltered, giving the older guy the opportunity to lunge towards the weak girl again, and this time, with a dagger that he pulled out from his vest.

But Naruto wasn't done yet.

The Uzumaki got in between the two and caught the man's wrist just in time, his free hand finding itself on the other's shoulder to push him away.

"Mind your business!" The brunette, who Naruto now remembers to be named Neji, growled out aggressively before landing a harsh hook to the blonde's cheek, but being the rascal who was used to punches, Naruto took it like a champ and kneed the brunette's stomach.

Hearing a small feminine whimper from behind him, Naruto suddenly remembered how much Hinata was bleeding from behind him, so with haste, he knocked the dagger from Neji's wrist and headbutted him, making the latter stagger backwards.

Not wasting time, the Uzumaki once again tackled down the brunette and landed a very powerful punch to his jaw with all the strength he could muster, successfully knocking out the brunette.

Immediately turning his attention towards the beat up girl, Naruto made haste to kneel in front of her and grab her shoulders, "Are you alright?!"

"I-I-" Hinata struggled to say, but a cough cut her off, doubling forward as her hands clutched her bleeding side, making a bleeding stab known.

With a rather loud hiss, the blonde shook his head to clear out his blurry vision and the growing pain all throughout his body. Neji landed but a few hits on him, but the number he made with each one was hell.

Deciding his feet were already steady enough, Naruto quickly got up with Hinata in his arms in a bridal position, screaming out to the crowd to make way as he rushed the poor girl back to school, the only word running his mind being "infirmary".

If only I knew how to mind my own business, maybe I wouldn't be in this mess.

And if you don't clean up a mess, it's gonna be a bigger mess, that's for sure-ttebayo!

Two weeks after the 'casualty' and staying inside his apartment to heal as Jiraya sternly instructed, Naruto finally was allowed to go out.

Shortly after he got Hinata to Shizune, the school nurse, the two of them were sent to the hospital, and eversince then, he got no word from the mysterious girl. Nor was he updated to what was happening at school, since Iruka just ever-so conveniently confiscated his phone the same day for playing an online game during class, forgetting that his phone was on full volume since he was watching anime the night before.

But one thing was for sure, the moment Naruto stepped out of the building with a huge smile, he had only one plan, "I'm gonna get twenty bowls of ramen today at Ichiraku's, dattebayo!!"

But fate had other plans.

As he turned the corner, everything suddenly turned black as a sack covered his head, "WHAT THE HELL?!"

Maybe I should've been careful, too. Walking around with eyes closed wasn't exactly the safest thing to do.

The next thing I knew, I was kidnapped.

As the sack was harshly removed from his head, Naruto found himself in a very traditional looking room, tied tightly into a chair in front of a desk with a lone katana sitting on top.

"Welcome, Uzumaki Naruto, to the Hyūga manor"

A deep and gruff voice said.

Suddenly, a middle-aged man walked from behind the blonde towards the other side of the desk, his pale eyes glaring into the blue ones.

Suddenly feeling like a coward under the heated gaze, Naruto nervously gulped as he nervously asked in a tiny voice "Th-The yakuza?"

"Indeed" The man said with a terrifyingly slow nod.

And out of panic- "I PROMISE I DIDN'T LOAN ANY MONEY FROM ANY HYŪGA, DATTEBAYO!!!"

Naruto would've slapped a hand onto his mouth if it wasn't just so tightly bounded behind him, so he failed to stop his ramble, "AND I PROMISE I DIDN'T VANDALIZE ANYTHING LATELY-TTEBAYO!"

"Uzumaki-sa-"

"I WAS STUCK HOME FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS, DATTEBAYO!"

"Uzumaki-san!"

"AND I SWEAR THAT-"

"UZUMAKI NARUTO!"

Naruto suddenly froze, pale and white, realizing that he'd been screaming non-stop.

Taking deep breaths to calm himself, Hiashi cleared his throat and said "Listen"

The blonde mutely responded with a cowardly nod.

"You have gotten involved with my clan" The brunette man stated "But not in the way you expected yourself to be"

"What?" Naruto asked, genuinely confused.

Suddenly, piercing pale eyes glared into his brightly colored ones, making his butt clench tighter, threatening to cramp.

"My eldest daughter have recently been in a reckless fight with her cousin. Meaning, it was family business, yakuza" Hiashi explained "And you intervened and knocked out my nephew for the sake of the damsel in distress who, for shame, was my daughter"

Then, like a quick flash of images, Naruto remembered the vivid memory of the girl, bloodied and weak, who was the same girl who made their class's ramen shop for the school festival possible.

"I had to!" He quickly intervened "Hinata was hurt and Neji was-"

"Hinata has brought shame to this clan for being saved from her lower-ranked servant by a complete stranger!" Hiashi furiously cut off, a terrifying sight to behold, "You should know better than to get involved with a Yakuza, boy! Everyone knows the consequences!"

The Uzumaki could have sworn he died for a short moment and seen the devil himself, but quickly proved himself wrong realizing it was the head of the most notorious and infamous Yakuza who had raged before him - Technically the same being by now.

"So, hear me," The older man hissed "Either you help fix the mess my disgraceful daughter made..."

Naruto could not help but feel pure rage when he heard the old man's way of phrasing. Disgraceful daughter?

"Or I kill you, along with Hinata"

"You can't possibly do that to your own daughter!" Naruto argued, struggling in his restraints, "I learned my lesson, old man! Don't get affiliated with the Yakuza! I ain't going to get deeper into this shit, dattebayo! But you wouldn't kill Hinata! Your own daughter! You can't!"

"I have another daughter waiting in line, much more obedient than her" Hiashi said, no emotion in his voice, "Hinata is completely disposable"

"Please just let me go and leave Hinata alone!" The blonde begged, in actual fear for the latter's life more than his own, "I won't get involved again, dattebayo! Just don't hurt Hinata!"

"You really won't help her?" The brunette asked, his eyebrows deep in a furrow, "Are you really not going to consider getting deeper into our business?"

"Please, I just don't want to be any more involved, dattebayo" Naruto pleaded "I'm an idiot, but even I know not to get into this kind of business"

*Kyuu...

Hiashi's fists under desk balled tightly in frustration. The boy before him isn't as gullible as he expected.

But not even a stubborn kid like him could resist this man's last resort...

Naruto's eyes widen as Hiashi suddenly placed a briefcase on the desk, clicking it open to reveal loads of cash.

But this only further provoked him...

"You think you could buy me?!" Naruto barked "Are you really that-"

*Baki!... Baki!... Baki!... Baki!

Five cases of mad-loads of cash, offered.

Naruto's throat suddenly felt dry as he stared the amount of money that he never thought he would ever see in his entire life.

He was speechless.

"Uzumaki Naruto," Hiashi said as he clicked close the cases, "All you have to do is pledge loyalty to the Hyūga"

"How?"

"Marry my daughter; Hyūga Hinata"

I couldn't deny. Not with the money in front of me.

And neither could you. Not with the burden you carried with your name.

There was only one obvious and safe choice for us.

It didn't take long before it was finally the day for Naruto to meet Hinata again - in fact! It was just two days later!

"Pins and needles! Pins and needles!"

Naruto twitched in his place as he sat on his knees, sweating as if he was running a marathon, struggling to keep a calm composure in the room filled with members of the most notorious Yakuza in the city, all armed with guns and knives.

"Pins and needles!"

Stay calm! He would yell to himself, but how could he stay calm if his legs were killing him and icy cold eyes were watching him from every angles?!

"Pins and needles!"

At least look calm! He's pretty sure the sweat stains by his armpits gave him away!

"Pins and-"

*Zuruuuuu~

The shoji door behind him slowly opened, a feminine shadow casting over him.

With a loud gulp, he struggled to keep his composure as the eyes left him for a second, "She's here-ttebayo!"

Hiashi, sitting directly in front of Naruto, nodded at his daughter to sit beyond the blonde.

He can't even hear clicking of heels or the squeaking of wood under the weight of the girl, so he almost squealed in surprise when suddenly, the pale girl sat beside him soundlessly.

"She's like a ghost-ttebayo!" Naruto thought as he eyed Hinata from the corner of his eyes, "She's too quiet!"

If it wasn't for her wearing that huge sweater, she would've made a perfect ghost!

Wait... "Doesn't she know what's going on?" He thought "She's wearing casual clothes as if she doesn't know she's going to be called by the old man"

"Hinata"

Naruto felt as if chills ran up his spine, hearing Hiashi's low raspy voice with certain undertone of what seemed to venom and disappointment... And he's directing it to his own daughter?

"Yes, father?" Hinata asked, not meeting eyes with her stoic father, sight locked on the tiny crack on the floor beside him.

Hiashi eyed Naruto for a second before - "You're marrying this man"

"GA- WHAT?!" Naruto shrieked, seeing Hinata's eyes widen in shock, "Ain't you at least gonna ease it up?! Straight to the point much?!"

The old man glared at the blonde, making him hiss and shut up, "Listen, Hia-"

"U-Understood..."

Naruto snapped his attention from Hiashi to Hinata in surprise, "You're not at least gonna question why?!"

"Naruto-kun..." Hinata whispered, tilting her head slightly to his direction and giving him the most pityful eyes, pleading him to understand, "I shouldn't... I-I can't"

What's up with this yakuza?! What's up with this clan?! What's up with this family?!

The Uzumaki could only frown and turn his gaze back to Hiashi. "What's up with this man?"

"All the terms and agreements have been approved" Hiashi said with an approving nod "Let us finish this. Uzumaki Naruto, from here on out, you are legally-"

"W-Wait!" Hinata yelped, then gasped as she slapped her hand onto her mouth, fear painted into her eyes as Hiashi glared at her, "You're interrupting"

"N-Not yet, p-please" She shakily pleaded "N-Naruto-kun- he-... He has the right to disagree!"

"He already agreed, and nothing can be undone now" Hiashi hissed, but she shook her head with teary eyes and said "W-What about his guardian? W-We're both still seventeen, s-so we have no right to agree on these types o-of deals!"

"Hinata" The old man growled "Stand down"

Naruto could see the clear fear in Hinata's eyes as she quickly quieted down. She's a coward, but... "Why did she stand up for me?"

"Let us get this over wi-" "Wait"

Brave move. But was it wise?

"Hinata's right" Naruto gulped "I-I don't have rights yet. And I don't know where Jiraya is! Until he comes back... We still can't get married, dattebayo!"

The blonde had his fist tightly gripping his pants, and he could pretty much sense Hinata's quivering beside him. What were they getting themselves into?

Hiashi's eyes squinted. Imbeciles. Both of them.

"Uzumaki-san" He said, making the blonde straighten up, "When is your birthday?"

"O-October ten, sir... Why?" Naruto hesitantly asked, but the brunette only answered with a "Good, sooner than Hinata's. Five months or sooner, you two shall be wed. On your birthday, or the day..."

Hiashi snapped his fingers, and five men stood up, "My men finds this Jiraya fellow"

"Don't hurt him!" Naruto yelled, making Hiashi quirk a brow and say "Only if it calls"

And with that, the five men left, guns and knives strapped onto them under their coats.

"Hey, watch it!"

All of their attention turned to two silhouettes outside the shoji door, "I remember your face! I'll have you killed!"

The taller of the two figures slid open the door for the shorter one, "Father! I brought the ceremonial iron! It's hot and ready!"

"H-Hanabi..?!" Hinata gasped ay her sister who's standing proudly by the door, a long piece of metal connected to hot iron at the end, "W-What-?!"

"Nee-sama! That must be your husband!" Hanabi cheered, "Eh, weird face, but he'll do. Hey, you! Forehead out!"

"E-Eh?!?!" Naruto yelled out in confusion.

"Don't tell me you don't know, Naruto" Neji said as he closed the door for Hanabi, "You're getting marked since you're pledged to the Hyūga"

"W-What do you want with my forehead then?!" The Uzumaki asked as he kept crawling backwards further away from the hot iron, "Don't tell me I'm getting marked by that!"

"Tsk..." Neji tisked, then he ripped off his headband from his forehead, along with the rest of the men in the room except for Hiashi, Hanabi, and Hinata, revealing burn marks on their forehead, the same pattern as the one on the hot iron.

"Pledge your loyalty, Uzumaki" Neji hissed, before snatching the hot iron from Hanabi, "This is what you get for intervening!"

"GAAAH!!!"

Naruto quickly jumped up to his feet and screamed as he ran around the room, with Neji hot on his tail flailing around the hot iron, "Come back here, you coward!!! Face the consequences of your actions!!!"

"No way! No way-ttebayo!!"

"You fool!"

How many times did you save me that night?

You even prevented me from getting marked.

All we had to do is lie to our friends about it... How hard could it be, right?

Lies. We were building up our soon marriage with the foundation of lies and secrets.

"About time you got back!" Sakura yelled as she slammed ran up to him on the way to school, "We're in the same group Iruka-sensei assigned us for this project along with Sasuke-kun! It's due later, so you're presen- What's up with the headband?"

"Oh, this? Haha, it's nothing, really" Naruto said as he pointed his thumb at the headband on his forehead, but Sakura being keen, she suddenly punched his shoulder and yelled "You idiot! You shouldn't wear a ring on the left ring finger! Take it off! You're not engaged! Along with that headband! You're not running!"

"Ow! Sakura-chan!" Naruto whined "You don't understand! I'm-!"

"UZUMAKI NAAAAARUTOOOO!!!!"

Sliding to a screeching hault from around the corner, Kiba dashed and tackled Naruto down.

"Kiba! What the hell?! Get off, dattebayo!" Naruto growled as Kiba pinned him down, but the brunette only gasped obnoxiously and yelled "Holy shit, man! You really proposed to Hinata?!?!"

"What?!" Sakura screeched.

Then they heard loud running footsteps.

Then from the same corner Kiba rounded from!

"WHO PROPOSED TO WHO?!" Ino squealed as she ran up to them, her hands gripping Shikamaru and Choji from their collars, obviously dragged them there, "Naruto?! You're engaged?!?!"

"Let me guess" Shikamaru said as he jerked away from his friend, eyeing Kiba's facial reaction and then to Naruto, "To Hinata?"

"Naruto..." Choji gasped "Does that mean... That's the branch mark behind your forehead?"

"Hehe, sure is" Naruto agreed with his well practiced lie, making Ino squeal and ask "Does that mean you two have been secretly dating?!"

"Why now, though?" Sakura asked, a little bit skeptic, "Isn't it a little bit too... early?"

"I can't help but overhear, but..."

The group's attention then turned to the corner and saw Sai walk out from it with a robotic looking smile, "But I believe that it's never too early, am I right, Naruto?"

"What's up with people popping from that corner?" Naruto thought before he faked a laugh and scratch the back of his head "Y-Yeah! You're absolutely right for once, Sai!"

"Sakura's right though, dobe" Sasuke said, appearing to have been following close behind Sai from the corner, he squinted his eyes and said "Besides... You never told me you were with anyone"

Suddenly, Sasuke felt a shadow loom over him from behind, he tisked, knowing exactly who it could be.

Ino and Sakura shrieked as they held onto each other, walking behind Kiba and Naruto, "N-Neji-senpai!"

The two had been front row witnesses when Neji and Hinata fought some time ago, watches it go down from the beginning up to the point when their friend became too weak.

This guy was ruthless!

"N-Neji..." Naruto gulped, still not in good terms with the senior, "... Nii- ack!"

Neji walked passed Naruto, purposefully bumping shoulders with the blonde, then he hissed, loud enough for the entire group to hear, "Listen here, Uzumaki. When you told me you wanted to go public with your relationship with Hinata-sama after three years of being together, and that you wanted it to be grand, you didn't tell me you were proposing"

"What?" Neji was lying for him? Was he setting up their alibi for them? Why?

"But as long as you're not yet married," Neji threatened "You're under me"

"Ahh, Neji, we better get going! College is ruthless, remember?!" Tenten nervously laughed as she pushed Neji away, waving off the group with an apologetic smile, "You're scaring the kohai! Sorry about that!"

Not far behind, Lee ran after the two, screaming for help for the homework due later.

With a sigh of relief, Sakura feigned wiping a sweat from her forehead and said "Thank goodness Tenten-senpai came around. I really hate that there's a college nearby..."

"I don't blame him," Ino said with a shrug, side glaring at Naruto, "That's Hinata's cousin slash brother, they might have a strained relationship, but you should'a asked for his blessing! They're very traditional, and you should know that!"

"Um..." Naruto nervously laughed, "... My bad?"

It was hard, especially at first. It felt as if I was forcing myself onto you just so our friends would buy our lie.

Everything was forced.

We barely had any subjects together, and sometimes, our stories don't match nor add up.

I was struggling. It was hard.

But I kept pushing. I made a deal.

Approximately three weeks into their engagement...

"IT'S FOUNDATION'S DAY FESTIVAL!!!" The entire class 3-B cheered loudly.

"Boil the noodles! Cook the broth!" Sakura yelled at the students in the stall, "Did someone take some slices of the fishcake?!"

"Choji" A few voices grumbled, making Choji laugh a guilty laugh.

"Why are we stuck cooking ramen for our class stall again?" Sakura sighed, making Naruto jump from the counter and scream "Only because ramen is staple food!"

"Rice" Sasuke corrected from inside as he grumbled about his hair stuck in the hairnet, the blonde quickly snapping back at him, "Nobody asked you, Teme!"

"Choji! Stop snacking on the toppings!"

"Oh gosh, this is expensive if we don't make profit" Sakura groaned.

It was the 20th anniversary of Hi no Yōso Senior High School's founding, thus the week long festival.

Class 3-B, AKA Naruto's class, had made a ramen stall for the festival.

Plastic bowls, disposable chopsticks, and some ingredients, they were ready to go! And first up for the two person shift- Naruto and Hinata.

And it looks as if they were off to a rough start. First hour, nothing.

"What's wrong with these people?!" Naruto yelled "Ramen's very delicious, dattebayo! How come no one's buying?!"

"W-We've got fourty five minutes left, but still nothing..." Hinata sadly muttered from behind him.

He felt a sudden painful pang in his chest when he heard her quivering voice, so he jumped and turned to her, "It's not your fault, Hinata! Maybe they had large breakfast, dattebayo!"

"Y-You think so?" She asked.

It was as if he was on overload when she looked up at him with pink cheeks and teary eyes.

"Of course, dattebayo!" Naruto assured, with literally nothing to support his statement.

Gloomy and all, only a little lifted, Hinata sighed and turned to the heated pot, lifting the cover with sad eyes, and then suddenly-

Naruto was shocked as Hinata suddenly ran passed him and took several spices and vegetables, her hands moving quick as her eyes held a certain look of determination.

The blonde couldn't help but watch in awe as the bluenette moved around the small makeshift kitchen they had, chopping up vegetables like a pro before dumping those into the broth, mixing some liquids into it as well before mixing.

"What is she up to?" He thought as he watched her tip on her toes to reach a skillet, him absentmindedly reaching it for her before she continued to fire up a stove and sautee some onions.

And suddenly...

"Whoa..! That smells really good!" "Hey! Is that ramen?!" "Oh wow! Let's check that out!"

Naruto quickly turned and saw people starting to line up, then it hit him, "Hinata's-"

The smell of the 'Hinata Improved' broth attracted students, and Naruto was pretty sure it tasted better, too!

"N-Naruto-kun! It's working!" Hinata cheered, making Naruto snap out of his awe and cheer back "Yeah! You're awesome, Hinata! Let's get to work!"

"H-Hai!!"

Within those twenty minutes left in their shift, they sold over fourty, and when Sakura and Sasuke came in for their turn-

"W-What?! How?!" Sakura yelled in surprise, seeing a long line at their stall, even Sasuke had wide eyes.

Naruto laughed like an evil sultan as he showed the duo the count of orders they served, making the pinkette proudly hop over the counter and ask "You guys! How?!"

"It's all Hinata, dattebayo!" Naruto proudly claimed as he pulled Hinata to a side hug, making the latter blush red, "I-It's nothing, really, I just a-added a thing or two a-and-!"

"Nonsense! You were amazing, dattebayo!!!" The blonde excitedly yelled as he hugged her fully and spun her around while laughing, making the bluenette laugh along with his contagious joy.

"Hinata! Write down what you did! Business will be booming! Shanaro!!!" Sakura squealed as she and Sasuke got into work, the latter being in the kitchen since no one really trusts Sakura with the cooking, "H-Hai! Pen, where's the pen?"

Hinata quickly scribbled down what she did by memory into a notebook, the excitement and elation she felt still in her chest as she wrote with a bright smile, all the while having Naruto's arms still wrapped around her waist and watching her write everything down from over her shoulder.

"H-Here, I-I made it as detailed as possible" The Hyūga said as she placed the notebook beside the busy pinkette.

"Oi, dobe! No PDA in the kitchen!" Sasuke teased.

Naruto and Hinata suddenly jumped in realization that they were hugging in public. The blonde quickly let go and scratched the back of his head as the bluenette quickly took two steps away from him with a bright red face.

The two quickly left the stall and away from the line that they made, an air of awkwardness and shyness still in between them. So when they reached a less crowded place...

"Hey, you did great earlier, dattebayo!" Naruto laughed, "You made that ramen ten times better, dattebayo!"

"W-Well, you handled th-the customers well" Hinata shyly complimented as she tucked her hair behind her ear, "Y-You, too, were very amazing, Naruto-kun"

That hug... It felt too natural and easy to do. Naruto can't get his mind off of it. He doesn't understand why he felt so warm, especially his cheeks, just by thinking of it... Was it wrong of him to want to do it again?

Hinata was intriguing him. She amazed him to a level he can't even comprehend.

"Hey, Hinata?"

It was as if he wasn't thinking when he called out to her.

"Y-Yes?"

But in no way did he resist. He felt as if he was on air.

"Wanna spend the festival with me?"

It only just started. But he couldn't care less.

"... Yes"

And no way did he regret asking her on a whim. Not even the slightest bit.

And then suddenly, everything felt so natural. It was as if making you happy was the very best thing in the world.

It started with you amazing me.

Things went up from there! We spent the entire festival together, tasting every zenzai and oshiruko the stands could offer, playing games, watching plays, and hiding from our friends.

We had our own little world. And I was happier than ever since that day.

"Hinataaaaa!!!"

"Honestly," Kiba joked as he watched the door get slammed open, "Hinata, get that guy a leash!"

"Naruto-kun, hush" Hinata playfully said as he ran his way to her desk, "My classmates might-"

"Classmates who?" Naruto said as he placed his hands on his waist with a grin "It's break time, dattebayo! Come on!"

"Naruto, I thought we have agreed to meet with you at the cafeteria" Shino said, "Why? Because that was where we always met since you didn't want to run all the way to the other side of the school to-"

"You heard the man, Hinata! Let's go!" The blonde laughed as he took the bluenette's hand and ran out with her, "Let's meet'em there, dattebayo!"

"N-No running in the halls..!" Hinata weakly scolded as she giggled.

Naruto's classroom before break was near the cafeteria every day of the week, never straying too far, whilst Hinata's always were either on the top most floor or near the school entrance, far from the cafeteria.

But no one actually was surprised when one day, Naruto suddenly decided he'd make a mad dash just to pick up Hinata. Besides, those two were inseperable for the past three months, and who's to blame?

Hand in hand, the two panted as they reached the cafeteria, well- Hinata was panting, Naruto looked as if he could still dive in to the mass of students for some yakisoba bread.

"Oooi!! Naruto! Hinata!" Sakura called out for them as she waved her hand, sitting in a table with Sasuke, Sai, Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji.

The two made their way there.

"Seats secured!" Naruto childishly yelled as he sticked a sticky note with his name on the seat beside Hinata, he then cracked his knuckles and glared into the sea of students surrounding the lunch lady, "Now for the real battle, dattebayo!"

The Hyūga suddenly gasped in realization, "I-I left my bento under my desk!"

She pushed back her seat and said "I'll be right-"

"Sit pretty, Hinata! I'll go get it, dattebayo!" And with that, Naruto suddenly ran out of the cafeteria, making Hinata try and yell out to him "W-Wait! I could just text Kiba-kun and Shino-kun!"

But- well... He was already too far gone.

The Uzumaki skipped three stairs at a time, as if he was raising against the clock, challenging himself that he should get Hinata's lunch under a minute.

"Oh, hey, Naruto! You're bac- aaand he's off again" Kiba shrugged as the blonde ran passed the two.

Kurenai almost jumped off of her seat when the door slammed open for the second time, only to realize that it was just Naruto again.

The Uzumaki almost jumped seats to get to the Hyūga's seat, not wanting to waste a single millisecond.

Snatch and go. He made sure to be extra careful, not wanting to ruin Hinata's beautiful lunch, since he knows that she always make sure that her bentos looked good.

"Quit running, will'ya?!" Kiba yelled at him as he once again passed the two.

Naruto quickly made his way through the cafeteria and placed Hinata's bento safely on the table before asking, "Time?!"

"A minute and twelve" Sasuke said as he stopped his stopwatch, knowing exactly that his long time friend would be timing himself.

"I failed?!" The blue eyed boy suddenly moped, making his pinkette friend playfully say "Yeah, by twelve seconds"

"I-It's okay, Naruto-kun" Hinata tried to assure as he slumped down on his seat, "Y-You were still very fast"

"You think so?" Naruto asked, looking pityful, making her blush brightly before nodding "Y-Yes! Absolutely! A-Also, I thought you'd want some, too, so I..."

Naruto's eyes followed Hinata's hand as she uncovered the bento, revealing two stacked bento boxes, "Prepared an extra"

"Uwaaaah!!! Hinata you're an angel, dattebayo!!!" Naruto cheered as if he was being given a gift from Kami.

"Gosh, these two" Ino teased.

"Hey!" Kiba greeted, already eating a sandwich, "What did we miss?"

There was nothing I wouldn't do.

Nothing.

"Neh, neh, Hinata, you're like one of the smartest people I know" Naruto coaxed into his phone "Do you think you could help me with homework? I'm at my apartment, maybe you could visit, dattebayo!"

"Sorry, Naruto-kun. I'd love to, but I'm a little busy today"

"It's okay" He said, masking his voice with the usual tone, hiding the saddened smile he had behind the phone, "So, uh... When's clan business gonna stop hassling?"

"It's just until tomorrow night... The whole weekend"

The blonde suddenly heard shuffling from the other end, along with some strange noises. Guns?

"Hinata-sama, we're only five streets away" "H-Hai... Naruto-kun, I gotta go. See you at Monday?"

"Yeah, yeah" Naruto said as he nodded, eyebrows furrowed, listening in closely to the background noises, she was in a car, "I'll wait, dattebayo"

She immediately hung up.

What was she doing? Where was she going?

The blonde suddenly shook his head, not wanting to question her whereabouts.

Then, as if out of coincidence, when he looked out the window, three familiar black vans drove passed his street. The yakuza vans.

"Is she-" Naruto quickly shook his head again, "Nahh, no way!"

No way was Hinata in there... Right?

If only I knew how to mind my own business, maybe I wouldn't be in this mess...

"Hands up in the air!" A Hyūga yelled as he pointed his gun at club members, screams of fear echoing all throughout the block.

The Yakuza exited the vans, surrounding the local club, guns threatening every person outside, soon enough some also started storming in, most likely doing the same thing to members inside.

Naruto frowned as he watched from behind a post, eyes frantically scanning through the Yakuza members, searching. Searching...

An old man was dragged out by two Hyūga's, forced to his knees.

And from the van, another figure emerged, "Where's the money, Dai-san?"

"Neji..!" Naruto frowned as Neji stood in front of the shaking club owner.

"Look, Y-Y-Yakuza!!" Dai screamed "I-I don't have it yet! T-The club is new, barely three months!"

Neji's eyes squinted. Pulling out his gun, he aimed it at the man.

The blonde closed his eyes, prepared to hear the horror, but what he heard, he dreaded the most.

"I'll take it from here"

The man, turned from quivering to angry, glared at the new figure, a little girl at that.

"You think you own the place?!" Dai barked.

Naruto couldn't believe his eyes.

There she was, clad in a purple dress under a biker's jacket, a holster as her belt and a dagger strapped to her leg, but most importantly, a headband covering her forehead. Hinata stood in front of the man with a golden revolver in her hand, emotionless face staring at the old man.

"I technically do" She said with a click of her tongue, "Where's the five million?"

"Five?! You bitch! I loaned four!" Dai yelled, furious.

*DON!!

"GAAAHAAAA!!!" The old man screamed, holding his bleeding ear.

The clicks of the young woman's heels against the solid pavement stopped just a few steps away from the old man. Hinata ripped the headband off of her forehead as she pulled back the hammer of her revolver once more, "Interest. Where's my money?"

Dai's eyes widen and shook, "H-Hyūga-sama!!"

Suddenly, he dropped to the ground in a very low bow as he screamed "P-Please forgive me, Hyūga-sama!!! I-I'm yet to make a profit!!!"

"Money..." Hinata trailed off, before pointing her revolver at the man's arm, "Or your limbs?"

"No no no!!! P-Please! I-I'll write the check right now!!!" Dai screamed before crawling his way back into the club, Neji following close behind with a knife to his neck.

"Hinata?" Naruto thought, watching in disbelief as she handled her gun. As if she didn't just shoot a man's ear off. As if she wasn't terrifying innocent lives. "As if she doesn't care"

Neji threw the man out with a check safely in his hand.

"You made a deal with the yakuza" Hinata said "There's no running"

And with that, she snapped her fingers and got in the van, followed by the men she brought with her.

That's when I thought... How come it was so easy to forget you were still a yakuza?

You weren't a stranger to bloodshed. Of course you weren't...

"Naruto!! Naruto!!! Naruto, open up, dobe!!!"

Naruto groaned as he flipped over and covered his head with the pillow.

Eversince witnessing the yakuza in action a week ago, the blonde has been in a very terrible mood, skipping school and refusing visitors.

"Oi! Dobe!! It! Is! IMPORTANT!!"

*GASHAN!!!

"Teme!! My door-ttebayo!!!" Naruto screamed as he ran out of the room, seeing Sasuke literally have broken in.

"I knew something was wrong!" Sasuke growled as he stomped his way to his best friend and lifted him by his collar, "What's your business with the yakuza, huh?!"

"W-Wha-" The Uzumaki cut himself off and said "I'm dating Hina-"

"They threatened you, didn't they?" The Uchiha hissed "You made a deal, didn't you?!"

"I-I" The blonde couldn't speak. Why was he so upset? "Sasuke, listen-"

"You signed a contract?"

"..."

"Naruto..."

"..."

"Jiraya was found in Amegakure"

"..."

"Dead"

"..."

"It was confirmed to be a yakuza attack"

"W-... What?"

"Hn"

How could I have been so careless?

"You did this!!" Naruto screamed as he kicked a table.

"W-What?" Hinata asked, trembling in her place, "I-I-"

She was just gonna check on him... She ditched a class to see him... And then, all of a sudden, he-...

"You! You!! It's always you and your-.. Your fucked up family!!" Naruto yelled as he aggressively cried, tearing up his apartment in the process, "W-Why did you have to kill the last person I have?! Why him?! Why kill Jiraya?! You guys always causes my problems lately! Everything just keeps getting worse the more I get involved, dattebayo!"

"I-I- I didn't know..! I-I-"

She was cut off by a constant vibration, and her petrified look turned into panic.

Her hand grasped her phone in her skirt pocket and took a cautious step back, "N-Naruto-kun, I-I have to go, I-"

"What?! Off to shoot more people?!" Naruto guessed with venom in his tone.

*Don! Don! Don!!

Sounds of distant gun shots were heard, Hinata bit her lip and looked away, "I-I'm sorry..."

And with that, she sprinted out of the apartment. Naruto saw her silhouette from the curtained window pull out a gun hidden from under her skirt before completely running off.

Suddenly, Naruto's own phone buzzed from the floor, a text message.

It was alarming how much gun shots were being heard, from all directions and different distances.

"What the hell?" Naruto thought.

Shaking his head, he marched to his phone, "Baa-chan sent a mass text..."

And what he read made his eyes widen.

"Konoha City is under attack by a foreign yakuza. Please keep safe and stay out of harm's way."

And that's when he realized, fear and panic overwhelming him, "Hinata's joining a Yakuza War!"

I wouldn't have been involved if I didn't make that deal...

There are reasons why some laws don't apply to Yakuzas in Japan.

People might see them as the villains of everyday, but no thief would dare do his job in the presence of a Yakuza. The Yakuza protects what they own. The Yakuza protects those who are around them from threats. The Yakuza would protect innocent lives in times of chaos.

"Hinata!!!" Naruto yelled as he ran down the street he thinks she could have ran down on, "Hinata!!!"

There were still occasional shots, and he could hear a blade fight not too far away.

Naruto could see some Aburame and Akimichi, two of the three Yakuza clans in the city, both inferior to the Hyūga, ushering in civilians into their homes, keeping them sheltered.

Then he got a text from Ino.

"Whers Hina"

A text full of typos.

"Dk, she ran off"

"D bad ppl r here. School"

"They want her"

Naruto hissed, "Damn it!"

"D leader s here"

"Dont let hr com bck here"

And the Uzumaki was sure, Hinata's heading there.

But still... How come there's still nothing I wouldn't do for you?

"Show us to the heir!"

"I won't let you get anywhere near my students!" Tsunade yelled, standing firmly on between the red-head leader of the assault and the highschool entrance.

Naruto hid around the corner, and then his eyes widen at what he saw the foreigners wore, "The red cloud symbol! They're the Akatsuki!"

They are a notorious gang, known for wiping out multiple yakuzas across Japan. Never been stopped before. Always succeeded in killing off entire yakuzas... And now they're after the Hyūga.

Then, as if on que, Hinata rounded the corner, the familiar revolver in hand along with a golden-hilted dagger in the other. She took longer than him to arrive, and judging by her dirtied uniform and stained blade, she was off helping the other Yakuza fight off gang members.

Blocking her off, Naruto quickly pulled her to the corner, whispering to her "We can shoot them from here. They have katanas, they have longer reach, dattebayo"

"N-Naruto-kun, I can't..." Hinata whispered back after a quick analysation of the situation, "I've got only one bullet left, we can shoot the leader, but Tsunade-sama is gonna be in risk"

"Where's Hiashi and Hanabi? Why are they after you?"

"They're in a meeting with the Taketori yakuza outside the city"

Naruto knew what he had to do, "I won't let Hinata get hurt!"

So he grabbed her weapons away from her, tucking the revolver inside his uniform jacket, grasping tightly around her dagger, "W-What are you-?!"

"I need you to stay safe, Hinata" He said "Promise me you'll stay away"

Hinata was muted in shock, but Naruto had no time to wait. The longer they stay put, the bigger risk Tsunade's life was in.

"OI!!!"

Tsunade felt as if years were stripped off of her life when he redirected the attention to himself.

"I'M THE ONE YOU'RE LOOKING FOR, YOU FUCKIN' BASTARDS!" Naruto yelled, marching down a street away towards the entrance, Tsunade then screamed "Naruto! Get away fro-"

"This is my fight, Tsunade-baa-chan!" The Uzumaki claimed, in between her and the gang, "Leave it to me, dattebayo!"

"You?" The leader asked "You don't even look like a Hyūga. Don't even try"

"I'm engaged to the heiress" Naruto stated, showing the gang the ring on his finger and pointed at the headband covering his forehead, "So I am the heir, dattebayo!"

"Where is the real heir? The heiress, now" The leader demanded. Without looking at Hinata's direction, the blonde tisked and said "Away. With father, dattebayo!"

It took a lot of taunting, but in no time, Naruto managed to let the gang chase him to the emptied out main square, away from civilians.

That was the time the orphan boy who challenged bullies, fought for fun, and got into trouble for attention, put all his knowledge into use.

I should have been careful.

She was shot.

She was shot.

Hinata. Was...

Shot.

He was caught off guard.

"Uzumaki Fuckin' Naruto, dattebayo! And I'm gonna protect this city like a real Yakuza head would, dattebayo!!!"

"Ah... Jiraya's God son... What a coincidence. We just killed him lately"

He was caught off guard.

He was pinned.

Daggers paralyzing him in place.

He was about to be shot.

She jumped in.

She didn't have weapon, he took them all.

She had to fight them, hand to hand.

She landed a punch, but the enemy barely felt it.

She tried to run to him and save him.

She had her back turned.

She was shot.

She was shot.

Hinata. Was.

Shot.

He caught them off guard.

I could barely remember what happened. Not after everything just looked red to me.

I thought I lost you.

Everything that happened before and after I put an end to the gang, I couldn't remember.

I was too full with rage to even remember a blur of what you said.

All I could remember was... Your family weren't the ones who killed my Godfather.

Approximately three weeks after the attack, Naruto was recognized as the city's young hero, bringing honor to the Hyūga's name.

"Good morning, Naruto!" Teuchi laughed out a joyful greeting, making Naruto stop from his running and jog in place, "Ō-san!"

"You're in a hurry" Ayame giggled "Not stopping by for ramen?"

"Maybe later! I gotta meet with Hinata at the park, dattebayo!" He proudly said with a large grin "Haven't seen her in a while, so I'm excited to get there! Gotta go now, bye!"

Recovering from wounds individually, the two never got to see each other yet. Naruto's hands wrapped in bandages prevented him from texting, and the wounds in his legs and her gunshot prevented them both from walking.

Now that they're well enough to actually safely walk around, there they were.

He easily found her at the park, clad in her usual comfy clothes.

A huge smile almost took over half of his face as he ran to her, "OOOOI!!! HINATAAA!!!"

He wanted to jump and hug her, but stopped last second, "A-Almost forgot, I could've hurt you-ttebayo!"

Naruto was laughing, but- She wasn't.

"Hinata?" He called out, noticing she wasn't smiling. There was no light in her eyes. "Is something wrong?"

"I-I looked at the files at home... People the Hyūga were affiliated with..." She muttered, only loud enough for him to barely hear, "Jiraya-sama had a file there too... I-I looked at it to find out why he was killed... Apparently he tried to stop the Akatsuki from coming to Konoha... The people who found his body were the men father sent... He didn't get a chance to know our engagement"

"Well, it's okay, right? We could pray to him! Actually, I set up this-"

"He was there because he was visiting Nagato, his former student. He overheard the plan. He didn't know Nagato was also the leader of the gang... Uzumaki Nagato"

"There are lots of people with the same surname as me-ttebayo" Naruto weakly joked, trying to lift her mood, but Hinata sharply looked at him, tears forming at the corners of her eyes, "His file was next to yours. Uzumaki Naruto. S-So I got curious and peaked"

Where's she getting to?

"I-I'm so stupid, Naruto-kun" She said, tears finally falling, "I made you suffer..!"

"What?! Where did 'ya even get that idea from?!" Naruto yelled in surprise, "Hinata! You're very smart, dattebayo! You're absolutely amazing!"

"I-I should've known you wouldn't marry me for free" Hinata said with a sad smile "I'm so stupid that I didn't even think of what you got in return"

"Hinata, I-! It's not-!" "Y-You needed the money, I get it" She said, raising her hand to stop him, her fingers taped together as if she broke a finger, "I saw your contract, Naruto-kun. I saw the money. You could secure your college fees and pay rent... I understand"

He didn't even think of those. All he thought was... Was that he wanted the money.

"You told me yourself, Naruto-kun" She continued, her shaky smile not leaving, trying to be as sympathetic as possible, "I'm the cause of your troubles. I make everything worse. Don't worry, I got you out of the contract"

This shocked him. "What?!"

"I worked things out, you could keep the money, every last bit" She tried to sound cheerful, but- "You've brought enough honor to your own name, my father is not considering it to be shameful being saved by you since you already have a name! Being saved by a hero is such great honor!"

"No, no no no, Hinata- please, no" Naruto's voice, it was weak and broken.

He reached out and grabbed her hands in his, both pairs injured and wrapped. His blue eyes stared into hers, as if he was begging, "It's not like that at all-ttebayo"

"Look how hurt you are..." She muttered, one of her hands slipping out of his and caressing his cheeks, studying tiny scratched and the fading black eye, "You're safer now. We're in debt of your heroism... You don't have to be involved anymore, Naruto-kun"

With the patch on her cheek covering what could be a wound, the wraps around her ankles and wrists, and the tears in her eyes... She looked absolutely fragile.

Hinata slowly backed away, her hands slipping off...

"The marriage is off, Naruto-kun. You're not forced to marry me on your birthday anymore..." She said, trying to sound congratulating, her fingers pulling off the ring on her left ring finger, and handed it to the frozen man before her with a gentle smile, "I don't need it... You could pawn those off o-or keep it for your future fiancee..."

She turned on her heel and walked off, but he grabbed her wrist, making her yelp in pain, him immediately letting go.

"I'm sorry" He said, sounding too earnest and hurt for her liking, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

"I just hate it..." She muttered.

"What?"

"I hate it!" She yelled, still not facing him, her shoulders shaking violently, she was crying, "I never wanted to be affiliated with a yakuza either! I never asked to be here either!! Everything that I do... Everyone that I'm close with... It's always because of my yakuza! I keep making everyone walk on thin ice every time I'm around! No one could be at ease! I'm tired of it!... I'm tired..."

"N-No, Hinata- it's not- it's not anything like that" Naruto said, reaching out his hand to hers, trying to make her believe him, but she jerked away and said "Stay away from me, Naruto-kun"

She turned her head to slightly smile at him, even if her cheeks were completely wet with tears, "I couldn't even say that we should break up... Not even good bye... We were never dating to begin with"

And she left.

She's gone.

He's alone.

Four months and three weeks...

Not even two more weeks, we could've been married.

I should have told you about the contract... I should have told you about the money!

Why am I so stupid?! I ruined everything!

I made it my priority to make you happier and happier every second we spent together, only for me to break you down to the very bottom because of my secret...

"We know"

That's all Sakura had to say for his fake smile to completely disappear.

Sasuke was gathering all the missed school work Naruto had, while Sakura, Shikamaru, and Sai all visited him.

"Kiba and Shino told us about things not working out anymore" She said as she patted his shoulder, "Especially with her having to move away..."

"What?" Naruto asked, shocked. Moving away? "What do you mean?"

"W-Well they said that she said," Sakura tried to clear things out in panic, seeing how distressed her best friend looked, "She's homeschooling in Tokyo and continues college there? You weren't planning on leaving, so-"

Tokyo is all the way in Kanto. Konoha is in Kyushu.

Sakura's ringing phone stopped her from talking, so she took it and said "It's Sasuke-kun, I'll have to take it"

She left the apartment, leaving the boys behind.

"You look shocked, Naruto" Sai said "Is it because your ex didn't tell you it would be that far away?"

"She didn't tell me anything" Naruto said, falling to the hardwood floor and leaning against the dry wall, shaking his head as tears formed in the corner of his eyes, "I didn't know she was leaving... She just left me"

"Naruto... Did something happen between you and Hinata?" Shikamaru asked, "What do you mean she didn't tell you?"

I told them everything. The truth. From the very beginning. Everything that I should have told you.

Sai said I shouldn't be upset. I was just hung up on you. If everything was nothing from the beginning, then I lost nothing.

Shikamaru said it was for the best that you found out. He told me you didn't return to school eversince your recovery, that you were enrolled to homeschooling days ago. That it's best that we don't see each other and forget anything happened.

Sakura though...

"I was skeptic at first..." Sakura said as she leaned against the railing, looking at the moon in the sky, "Sasuke-kun and I, actually... Like, it was just yesterday that you were trying to compete with Sasuke over my feelings, you simply not wanting to lose to him. And then suddenly, the next day, you were engaged? To the girl who had a massive crush on you since day one?"

"She liked me?" Naruto asked, shocked, his eyes glowing in underscribable joy before losing light altogether once more as he dejectedly looked down, "It doesn't matter anymore... She hates me now..."

"Impossible" Sakura chuckled, "Naruto, it wasn't just a crush, I- we all knew she was practically inlove, head over heels for you! For the longest time... Something so pure like that, won't disappear in just a snap"

"She... Loves... Me?"

"Honestly, though?" She said with the most sympathetic smile, "I thought you really liked her too. Even before you two were 'engaged'. You would always help her out when you saw she was trying to do something a little hard for her, like reaching books in the library, carrying her projects, and yelling at Kiba if he gets too rowdy with her. And you would always try to get compliments from her, and as if everything she told you makes you ten times lifted. So when time passed since you told us about the engagement, we were slowly thinking, yeah... Maybe you two have been dating all along..."

He fell silent... Was he really like that?

"When you two were together... I saw nothing but devotion, passion, and love..." Sakura said as she looked at him, "Was that all an act?"

"Nothing was an act"

That's when he realized.

Naruto was never happier than of when he's with Hinata. And he never felt emptier and lonelier now that she left.

Was that it? Why he felt so down?

"I love Hinata"

It felt so right. He was certain. He was in love.

"Sakura-chan..." Naruto said, lifting a hand to his chest, "I have to do something, dattebayo!"

I'm gonna make everything right.

I won't give up. Never on you.

Hiashi raised his brow at the young man standing before his desk along with two of his friends

"Uzumaki-san" He acknowledged, "Is there a reason you're here? On your birthday at that"

"Hiashi, I want to give you everything back, every last bit" Naruto said, not moving from his spot, "Kiba and Shino agreed to help me bring in everything"

Kiba tisked as he raised two briefcases, "He's right"

Shino only nodded, also showing two briefcases.

"Seventy million yen" Naruto said, lifting two more, clicking one open.

"I gave you fifty" Hiashi reminded, the blonde nodded and said "The rest are from the bounty I got from the Akatsuki. I worked part time at multiple places to fill back up the ones I spent up"

The Hyūga knew there was a catch. There's always a catch. "I ask again, is there a reason you're here?"

Naruto dropped the cases onto the desk and said in the most authorative voice he could muster, "Let's make a deal"

I had to find you. I had to tell you.

I worked non-stop to get the money to come to you. But I also started to maintain the grades you helped me with, and pushing some higher, knowing you wouldn't want me to ignore it.

I was afraid we'd only meet again next year, but luckily enough, Christmas came along, and I got some shūgi bukuro from Tsunade-baa-chan and Iruka-sensei.

I'm not gonna waste anymore time.

It was great to be on Hanabi's good side. She gave him Hinata's new address.

Not a second after he left the airport, Naruto immediately headed towards her 'home'.

It was a shock though, finding himself in front of a grand mansion, castle dare he say it, near the intercom by the gate.

But, not even the daunting gate if this castle will daunt him, so he used the intercom.

"Otsutsuki residence. What's your business?"

The words slipped out of the recipient like the well rehearsed line that it is, almost sounding robotic.

"I'm looking for Hyūga Hinata" Naruto said, proud and brave.

A momentary pause.

"She is not here"

"I know she's in there" He claimed, almost a bit too aggressively, "I just want to talk to her"

"Hyūga-sama isn't available"

And as the recipient finished, the gate suddenly buzzed open and marched out a dozen of masked men with weapons.

And that's when it clicked to Naruto where he had heard the name before... "This is another Yakuza!"

Before he was even shot, Naruto quickly and skillfully punched and kicked the yakuza men, thanks to his obligatory training with the Hyūga, stealing even a gun before he slipped in to the closing gates.

Surely enough, the mansion was alarmed, the automatic doors closing as lights turned red.

Naruto yelped as a bullet from a high point missed him, so he quickly ran and miraculously escaped a rain of bullets.

He wasn't going to stop. He won't back down!

He quicly made his way to the castle, shooting a closed window and jumping through it.

Naruto saw yakuza running his direction from both ends of the hall, none seemed to be armed, so he took the risk to run directly into one of the groups.

He ducked and dodged his way through, the men hitting their team accidentally at the process and blocking the way of the other group.

Naruto found himself at the grand hall, dozens of rooms to be checked.

He hissed when he saw the CCTVs of the area all point his direction, "Dammit!"

He quickly and randomly chose a hall to run down on, "I fuckin' hope she's this way, dattebayo!"

Luckily, the hall he chose was clear, and so far, no one had come his way yet.

"Naruto-kun!!"

His head perked up and turned to the direction of her voice, "Hinata!"

He then saw her appear from the other end of the hall and run to meet him in the middle.

She was alright and looked as beautiful as he remembered her to be.

Naruto grinned widely and felt his heart flutter in joy, he opened his arms to take her into a hug, but Hinata stopped before even reaching him.

"W-What are you doing here?!" She asked frantically, gripping her hair, "I-I saw you with the cameras and-! Y-You could've been killed! What are you- Why are you- N-Naruto-kun! It's dangerous here!"

"I had to see you again, dattebayo" He said as he tucked the stolen gun to his pants, "I made a mistake. I should've been honest to you... I'm sorry"

Hinata's eyes started to water as she frowned, "W-Why now...? Why now?"

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked, feeling her uneasiness.

Then as if on cue.

"Hinata! Stay still!"

A white haired man yelled from the end of the hall, making Hinata freeze.

Naruto quickly reacted and pointed his gun at the man, and as did the man to him.

"Toneri-san, don't!" Hinata said, still frozen, in between the two men pointing guns at each other.

"Hinata, who is this?!" Toneri yelled.

"W-We um..." Hinata hesitated, but she sighed and admitted, "We were in a contract together"

The Otsutsuki clearly didn't like what he heard, "You were already given to me! The Hyūga already made a deal"

"I-I nullified our contract, we're no longer tied in anyway" She said, "He's nobody here, please let him go"

"Hinata, listen to me" Naruto said, loud enough even for the man on the other end to hear, "You don't have to do anything for your Yakuza anymore, dattebayo! You're free!"

"W-What?" Hinata asked, shocked. Clearly, she wasn't expecting this.

"I made a deal with your father" He explained, "I gave him back all the money he gave me and all the bounty I got. You're no longer tied to the Yakuza, you're not forced to do this anymore! No contract from the yakuza can ever shackle you again, dattebayo!"

Her eyes were wide and watery, as if she never thought she would ever hear it.

Her shaky hands slowly took her hidden revolver from under her jacket, staring at it with disbelief.

"Do not listen to him, Hinata! You belong to me!" Toneri screamed, "Shoot him, now! He's trying to fool you!"

"Hinata, you have to believe me!" Naruto yelled, trying to make her listen.

But it only seemed like Hinata blocked them both out and thought for herself for the first time.

And in a blink of an eye, Hinata shot her gun.

The ceiling collapsed, blocking Toneri's path, and Hinata quickly took Naruto by his arm and dragged him away, the ceiling collapsing behind them.

Hinata lead Naruto down the hall, taking twists and turns, seemingly avoiding yakuzas as if she could see right through walls and find the safest route.

The two of them ran in a room with a large and thick door, a room that seemed to be Hinata's.

"Come on, let's get you out of here, dattebayo!" Naruto said with haste as he looked out the window, hissing, "I'll jump down first, then I'll catch you"

"Wait..."

The Uzumaki stopped for the first time this day.

"Naruto-kun... W-Why..." Hinata hesitated to say as she fumbled with the zipper of her jacket, "Why are you doing this? All of this?"

And he knew exactly what the answer was.

He thought about it a million times over. And he was sure of it.

"Because I love you, Hinata"

He wasted no time, he didn't miss a beat.

"I'm sorry that it took me losing you for me to realize, dattebayo" Naruto said as he faced Hinata, holding her shaky hands in his, "You made me happy, so much happier than I was before, dattebayo! And I realized, when we were in the contract, I was always willing to do anything for you... It was almost too easy to forget that we weren't truly dating. I was just too happy making you happy, dattebayo!"

"Naruto-kun..." She said, tears forming again in her eyes.

"When you told me you never wanted to be involved with the yakuza... I knew that I had to get you out" Naruto confessed "In my heart, I felt as if I died when you told me you weren't happy, and also when you left me... It took me so long... I'm sorry... Please let me make it up to you... For real this time, dattebayo!"

And she was sobbing. She was happy. She was free. She was loved. And as she was crying, she smiled brightly and nodded, "O-Okay"

Naruto felt his heart go warm, and he returned the smile ten times brighter, "Hinata, after this... Will you go out with me?"

"Mhm!" Hinata cheerfully agreed, "I'd love to, Naruto-kun!"

"Alright then!" Naruto laughed as he took out his gun, "Then let's deal with the yakuza, one last time, Hinata!"

"Yeah!"

Money can't buy love. But time can.

I started off all in for this because I was paid. But as time went by, I forgot about the money and didn't even care about it... All because I fell in love with you, Hinata.

It all started off fake and forced, built with lies and deceit. And that was a bad idea, sure... But as time went by, everything we did was real and genuine.

I love you, Hinata.

Now and forevermore. No matter what happens. I'll do anything to make you happy...

Thank you for accepting me, even my faults and flaws... Even with our past.

Thank you.

Sasuke's eyebrow raised, "This is what you called me in for?"

"Oh come on, Sasuke" Naruto pleaded, "Have a little heart and tell me what you think, dattebayo!"

The Uchiha hummed then looked back down at the paper, reading it again, before crumpling it again and throwing it in the trash.

"WH-WHAT THE HELL?!" Naruto freaked out as he jumped towards the trash and returned the paper, "What the actual fuck, Teme?!"

"It's too depressing with the most part" Sasuke said as he stood up and walked to leave the apartment, "That's not even the slightest bit a good wedding vow"

"R-Really?" Naruto asked, completely nervous as he uncrumpled the paper and read it again, "Hinata won't like it?"

Sasuke only continued to walk towards the door.

"Mahh, Sasuke-teme" The blonde man called out "Give yourself a little purpose and help me with my vows, will'ya?"

The ravenette opened the apartment door as he tapped the tip of his foot onto the floor to fit his shoe before looking at his friend with bored onyx eyes, and then, he said, ever so bluntly- "No"

"E-Ehhh?!?! Come on, teme!" The blonde whined as he yelled for the retreating ravenette, but with a strong huff of defeat, Naruto groaned and shoved his head into his hand as he slammed down his 'failed' vow to the table.

"Fuck you, you useless teme..." He thought.

"Too much for using this one-ttebayo" The Uzumaki thought to himself with a heavy sigh, his arms crossed behind his head before going down to write again, "I gave up seventy million yen because I love you... I can't wait to marry you"

He suddenly paled as his grip on the pen almost broke it, stopping dead on his tracks at the sudden realization, "That's even worse, dattebayo!"

Anyway! You can find fanarts based on the oneshots here, both drawn and written by yours truly, on Wattpad! "NaruHina OneshotsFanarts" by OrenjiRabenda.
