Author's Note

Here's another chapter. I almost didn't upload today because my laptop decided to give out on me, and I almost lost this whole chapter. The breakdown I almost had at the thought of having to rewrite this chapter lol. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Flicking through my phone I quickly find Snow's number; the phone rang a few times before it went to voice mail.

"Pick up the goddamn phone!"

By the third time of being sent to voice mail I was ready to dash my phone across the room. I count to ten to prevent an erratic act of anger.

Taking a deep breath, I call Snow for the fourth time.

"Hello?" A tired Snow finally answers the phone.

"Get up, Emma's in trouble. I'll be over in 5 minutes"

I decide to be direct with my words rather than beat around the bush.

"Wait what?"

She was clearly confused, but I won't explain this over the phone. We won't get anywhere with how slow Snow is.

"Get. Up"

"Regina… It's 1am"

"Snow, I swear to whatever deity is out there, if you are not up by the time I reach your apartment… Emma needs you right now"

"Emma's in trouble?!"

I chant in my head like a prayer that she's Emma's mother and Henry's Grandmother. Not that I like to think or acknowledge this fact at all.

"I'll see you in 5 minutes"

"Regina!"

I hang up the phone not having the patience to repeat myself.

"Get anything you think will be useful to hurt Blue, then we'll leave. My car is still at my Vault, so I will need to use my magic to get us to Snow's apartment. And to answer both your questions, I will be fine. You know once you've mastered teleportation like we have, it does not require that much magic"

Both Ursula and Maleficent decide not to argue against me and went to get any potions they thought would be useful. Most of them explosives. Once these where collected, I used my magic to teleport all three of us outside Snow's apartment.

As much as I wanted to pound on the door, I resist the urge to do so remembering they have a baby who is most likely asleep.

"I'll wait out here with Mal" Ursula states as soon as I knock on the door. I nod in response understanding why Ursula would want to be by her side. From my understanding she was there when Snow and David stole Maleficent's baby, it would only make sense for Ursula to provide some sort of comfort.

"Regina?! What's going on? Where's Emma? What are they doing here?" Her voice increases in decibels with every frantic question.

Not responding I usher her into the apartment and close the door behind me.

"Regina, can you please tell us what's going on. You can't just call me in the middle of the night, show up at my door, and not tell me what's going on"

Snow anxiously bounces Neal in her arms to calm him down. Clearly my hopes of not waking him have gone in vain.

"The Blue fairy has Emma"

Once again immediately getting to the point. I don't have the time, nor do I care to ease them into the truth. I could care less about their one-way view of how the world works.

"What are you talking about Regina? You said Emma is in trouble, woke me and Snow up just to say she's with Blue? I thought she didn't want her help anymore"

"Now I know you both live in the world of bright blue skies, flowers, and rainbows, but Blue is anything but helpful. Then again what would you know? You did ask for her help in the first place!"

I could feel my anger quickly rising at how ignorant they could be. It was Neal's whines that caused me to lower my voice.

"Blue has helped us in the past Regina, it only makes sense me and Snow would go to her regarding Emma"

"Didn't she prevent you from following your daughter into another world? Look, I didn't come here to discuss this and your obsession with seeing everything through black and white lenses. Blue is the villain to many people's stories for people like Emma. Any wolf or magical creature could tell you horror stories they've heard about the Blue fairy. Those who are not Royals and have no connection to those on top can't afford to ignore such stories.

Your best friend is a Goddam wolf Snow! Have you never questioned the disgust on her face when she looks at Ruby? When she looks at Emma?! She tortures people like Emma and Ruby. Her aim is to get them to hate what they are. To prevent them from being and accepting who they are. She has killed many in her attempt to do so, and she has Emma right now. Your daughter!"

"I don't believe you, she wouldn't do that to Emma, to me and Snow"

I swear I'm 5 seconds away from throwing this idiot across the room.

"Of course, you don't believe me. Let's ignore the fact that I have saved your asses several times since this curse broke. That I have saved this town more times than I can count. You know, I find it funny that I'm a hero and trustworthy when you need my help and need me to save your asses, but as soon as I call you out on your bullshit, I'm the Evil Queen again"

"Regina-"

"No Snow, Emma is being tortured right now as we speak. I saw your daughter drenched in blood and in wounds you couldn't even imagine. I will forever have that image ingrained into my mind. If Emma dies Snow, I will destroy this ungrateful town. You think I was trying to kill you in the Enchanted forest? Trust and believe you won't be alive to question if I will kill you this time. Now go pick up your goddamn phone and bring Blue here! I don't care what you have to do, promise, or say. Bring. Her. Here"

"Now you listen here Regina, you're not going to come into my home and threaten me and my wife"

David strides towards me with every word like the guard dog that he is, only to be stopped by Snow. She places her hand on his chest to stop him getting any closer. Once again saving his life in the process.

"David, get my phone"

He gives her a dumb confused look.

"I believe her"

"But Snow-"

"Please David"

"Fine"

He glares at me before doing what he was told. Snow watches David leave before looking directly at me, giving me an odd look, one that I didn't care to decipher.

"You're absolutely certain?"

"Snow" The warning was clear in my tone.

"I'm not trying to be patronising, I'm just shocked. She seemed concerned about Emma becoming a Hybrid, I just didn't think she would go to these lengths. She did say she would try to help Emma with or without mine and David's help, but I didn't think she would do this"

"I know you find it hard to not tell people secrets and personal business, but next time please refrain from doing so. So many people have ended up dead because you couldn't keep your mouth shut" I hiss out.

The fact that Emma could end up dead because Snow told Blue Emma's a Hybrid; was bringing up unwanted memories of Daniel dying because Snow could not keep a simple secret.

"Emma's my daughter, I just wanted what was best for her!"

"By going to someone who assisted in helping your daughter grow up parentless?!"

Snow takes a deep breath, clearly trying to hold her tongue.

"This is not helping; I'll call Blue and ask her to come over. I don't know how easy that would be with how late it is, she could be asleep, however, that has never really been an issue before"

"Good" I nod running a frustrated hand through my hair.

It wasn't long before Snow was talking to Blue; like I predicted Blue was eager to come over once she heard how desperate Snow was to save her daughter. That she would do anything, even something she wouldn't usually approve of. That she just wanted her little girl back, and oh how Blue ate that shit up like she was starving.

"You both can leave now"

"Leave? We're not going anywhere, if she has Emma-"

"Look Charming" I use his title condescendingly.

"I know you love to play the hero, but you both have no magic, she does. I don't need to worry about you two getting in the way, plus Henry is home alone. He's expecting you; a guest room has been prepared. He's probably waiting for you in the living room as we speak"

"David's right, we're not leaving Regina"

"You don't have a choice, once you're inside the mansion you won't be able to leave unless being inside threatens your life"

Not giving them a chance to respond, I flick my wrist using my magic to send them away. Putting a small hex on them to prevent them leaving the mansion, I don't need them calling the rest of the Scooby Doo gang.

I walk to the front of the apartment to let the two queens inside, before putting a spell on the apartment to prevent anyone leaving. A spell that is only detected once inside.

I leave the door slightly adjure, so I don't have to answer the door when she knocks. It's easier to use magic to imitate Snows voice than using a full glamor spell. I need to conserve as much magic as possible.

"Blue should be here within the next 10 minutes"

"And how did you get the fairy to come over in the first place?" Ursula questions clearly impressed.

"Like I said, she's predictable, a creature of habit as one would say. That ego of hers would never allow her to refuse to help royals; it's a power trip for her".

We wait for the self-righteous fairy to walk through the door. It felt like time slowed down, 10 minutes had never felt so long. I could feel my magic buzzing throughout my body, under my fingertips ready to be released. I've never been a patient person and 30 years in a land without magic hasn't change that.

I listen out for foots steps or any sign of movement, and when I hear the distinct sound of heels echoing into the apartment, my heart begins to race in anticipation. I felt like a predator waiting for its prey, waiting to go in for the kill.

"Snow?" I hear the hesitance in her voice. Clearly weary at the door being ajar.

"Come in, the doors open" I use my magic to imitate Snow's voice.

The door begins to open, and I watch with intensity as each heel steps into the apartment, sealing her fate.

"I see you didn't bring your wand. Didn't think you would need it for two little mortals?"

"Regina? What are you and the Queens of darkness doing here? Where's Snow and David?!"

"Now is that any way to address a Queen? You've always been so bold"

"What did you do to them?!"

"Wow, the audacity. Do you feel no shame, no guilt?"

"What the hell are you talking about witch"

"Do you really think calling me a witch is an insult?" I let out a humourless laugh.

"I don't have time for this, tell Snow and David-"

"So, you're really going to stand here and pretend like you don't have their daughter chained up somewhere; blind folded while you torture her?!"

"I don't know what you're talking about"

"Don't patronise me Blue. I would think about your words carefully, for your own sake. Now is not the time to anger me further"

"You're insane, sick, and twisted. Emma should have never been left with someone like you"

"You will die today, a slow painful death"

Her confident stance flattered.

"I don't have the saviour, I would never hurt her"

"Is that so?"

I turn to Ursula with a sadistic smile.

"You said you wanted action, please proceed" I gesture her pockets where the explosive potions were, and from the corner of my eye I see Blue bolt to the apartment door.

"Oh, I do hate when my victims run. One thing I can't stand is a coward"

I use my magic to throw her into the apartment door, her body harshly colliding with the wood.

"You won't get away with this"

"Me?! You're the one who has Emma. You're clearly outnumbered Blue, even if I was here alone you would be outnumbered"

I use my magic to bring a fire ball to my hand, big enough to cause lasting damage, but not big enough to kill. Without a second thought I throw it at the fairy and her screams were music to my ears.

"Someone will come, they will find me and kill you" She says between her cries of pain.

"I know you feel the magic around the apartment. No one can come in or out, and no one can hear your screams"

"Snow and David-"

"Are with Henry, they know you have Emma. Have you forgotten who called you, who asked you to come here?"

Before she could respond both Ursula and Maleficent threw one potion at her. The force of the blow causing her to fly into the middle of the apartment.

"You know, I've never liked you. The fact that you helped steal my child away from me, if Regina doesn't kill you best believe I will"

"Now, I will ask you one last time. Where. Is. Emma"

I throw three fireballs at her for every word I punctuate. Her screams quickly filling the apartment.

"If you kill me, you will never find her!" She looks at me with hatred.

That was all the confirmation I needed. I was right, she does have and know where Emma is.

I stride towards her in quick steps, using my magic to raise her off the floor in a choke hold before plunging my hand into her chest, grabbing hold of her heart.

"You would think one would be smart enough to protect their heart while living among the so-called Evil Queen. Then again, you're not smart. If you where you would have never taken Emma"

I give her heart a small squeeze before pulling it out, and I let out a laugh.

"Of course, your heart would be black as coal"

"Please, I'm trying to help her"

"You disgust me. Now, where is Emma?"

Once I had her heart, she had no choice but to immediately tell me where Emma was. That she is in the basement of Storybrooke's hospital. That doctor Whale is currently with her and is probably carrying out he's experiments on her.

Resisting the urge to squeeze the life out of her body, I use my magic to keep her heart locked away in my vault.

She does not deserve a quick death. I know it would have been easier for me to have taken her heart as soon as she walked through that door, but I wanted her to suffer.

I use my magic to materialise the three of us in the hospital basement. Immediately knowing where to go due to this being my town and having the blueprints for every building. The place is covered in fairy dust, it will be easy for me to track the source of the magic from here. However, as soon as I step forward, I feel the blood bond that had been severed slowly begin to rage back to life. Without a second thought I run towards the room my magic was guiding me to.

I can't afford to have another pain episode now, not when I'm so close.

My magic stops me in front of a metal lab door, and I use my magic to force the door off its hinges. The site in front of me causes me to let out a cry of anguish and relief. If I thought the site I saw before was bad, this was so much worse. There was blood everywhere; on the floor, splattered across the walls, the ceiling, on him, everywhere! The room looked like something out of a SAW movie. The tools that were next to her mangled body were terrifying. To know that he was using them while she was awake makes me sick to my stomach.

She was lain on a hospital bed with chains wrapped around her arms and legs. Her bones protruded out of her body, clearly in mid transition. Two IV's sticking out of both arms with two unknow substances being injected into her. She was blind folded and the hospital gown she had on was stained red with her blood.

"Get away from her!" I scream running directly to Emma.

"What have you done!"

I could see the clear panic in his face as he looked for his escape route. There was no where he could go, no where he could escape to. Blue wasn't here to help him and even if she was, he would still be as good as dead.

"I'm here Emma. I'm here" I run my hands through her bloody locks before removing the blind fold.

"Why?! Why her?! Answer me!" I look at the monster in front of me as he begins to slowly step away from Emma. Dropping his large scalpel knife in the process.

I use my magic to remove the chains and both IV's, and as I do so I could feel Emma's pain more potently. I could feel her fear, rage, anger, and betrayal. Our blood bond getting stronger by the second. There was still a slight block, I'm assuming due to the room and whatever was in that liquid, but it didn't feel like an amputation anymore.

Once the chains where removed I could see the severe burn marks left behind.

What the hell was on those chains?

Now being so close to her again, I was able to see the damage that had been inflicted up close. She looks desiccated, she doesn't even look human. She looks dead. The bones and flesh that were on display… The only thing letting me know she was alive was the slow rise and fall of her chest, and the petrified eyes that were now looking at me with so much emotion. The sight so much more gruesome than what I saw in the realm we created with our blood bond.

I take a deep breath as I fought my body's natural reaction to throw up at the site of her body. A fight I quickly lost as I lost my stomach contents at the side of the hospital bed.

"R-Re-Regin-" She tries to call out to me.

"Shh. I'm here now" I say between dry heaves.

"S-She's going to save many people. I- I just wanted to study her to help people. Her blood heals! I've tried it! She's special!" He rushes out franticly, clearly hoping his justifications will save his life.

"I just need some time, let me study her-"

Without a second thought I snap his neck in rage, and his body falls harshly to the floor. I didn't mean to kill him, at least not yet. He didn't deserve a quick death; he was supposed to suffer. His death was supposed to be slow and painful. But just seeing Emma here now on top of what he was saying, I snapped, I couldn't hear another word. But if Emma wants his death to be dragged out, best believe I will make a deal with the devil to bring him back just to kill him again slowly.

I wave my hand to remove any trace of vomit as the site, taste, and smell was making it difficult to do anything else but remain hunched over dry heaving.

Emma needs me, I can't afford to break down right now, not while I have her here right next to me. Not while she's suffering in pain, I only have to look at her, she's the one that's physically in pain. I need to get my shit together.

"I'm going to heal her"

"Are you sure you're OK?"

I Ignore Maleficent's question. How I feel right now is irrelevant, the fact that both her and Ursula were avoiding looking at Emma's battered body confirms that.

"If you both could help me as much as you can I would appreciate it"

Both make their way over to Emma's body and she jerks away in fear.

"It's OK Emma, they're here to help you. They helped me find you Emma"

Tears stream down my face as she looked at me with distrust.

"I don't want to hurt you. I just want their help to heal your wounds. Please"

Apart of me wanted to use magic to stop her from moving away, as her actions only causes her more harm, but I won't do that to her. Not after what she's been through.

When she doesn't respond, I slowly bring my hands to her lower stomach and I focus my magic on closing the gaping wound. My body begins to shake in exasperation. There were so many wounds, so many shattered and broken bones. It was as if I never healed her at all.

Once it appeared like she trusted me to heal her wounds, Ursula and Maleficent slowly raised their hands to use the little magic they had left to assist in the healing process.

"This is going to hurt" I let her know before I begin healing her broken and shattered bones.

"You're in mid transition, once I have healed your bones, I need you to focus on transforming into your human form"

She looks at me confused.

Her human body cannot handle the bones that are currently sticking out of her. Those bones clearly do not belong in her human form. Once they are healed, she needs to finish the transformation.

The sounds of her broken bones snapping into place fill the room along with her screams of pain, as her shattered bones were slowly healed. Her cries were almost enough to make me stop the healing process; I don't want to be the cause of her pain. She's been through enough pain to last her several lifetimes.

"Keep going" I hear Maleficent say, clearly seeing my hesitance to continue.

It felt like hours had passed before most of her wounds and bones were healed.

"I need you to transform now Emma"

"C- Can't"

"Just focus on you being you. Focus on being Emma and being human"

"I. I can't" She says, voice sounding hoarse as tears run down her face.

"You can Emma. I know you can. Please try for me"

She lets out a sob and I watch as the protruding bones begin to slowly enter her arms and legs. Her body no longer looking like an experiment gone wrong in a Si-Fi movie. Once her bones where in there right full place I heal as much of the wounds that were left behind. I could slowly feel my magic being drained.

I won't be able to heal her fully and get us all out of this place. I'm not strong enough and I hate that fact.

I Decide to give her my blood so her body can do the rest.

Using my magic, I create a small cut on my wrist, and I watch as the blood slowly runs down my arm. I watched as Emma took a deep breath while looking at my wrist in a trance like manner. We had healed most of her injuries, but her body still looked dried out. I could see that she wanted to grab my wrist, the look in her eyes told me so, but it was as if she couldn't do so. She was clearly drained and didn't have the strength to reach out to me or move. The little amount of energy she had was clearly used to transition into her human form.

In her full human form, she almost looked mummified. Like any ounce of moisture had been sucked out of her. It must be her vampire side causing this reaction, I know I read something about vampires desiccating if they don't drink blood or if their blood is drained. Without a second thought I bring my wrist to her mouth.

"What are you doing?" Maleficent snatched my arm away.

"She needs to drink from me" I snatch my arm back.

"Look at her Regina, she will bleed you dry"

Not listening I place my wrist on her lips. I watch as my blood slowly entered her dry mouth. It was a few seconds before Emma begins to suck on the wound, and It wasn't long before she was taking large gulps. She was gripping my wrist like a lifeline. With every gulp she took I could see the life being brought back into her. The grey cast over her body slowly fading to show her natural pink under tones.

"That's enough Regina"

Maleficent tries to pull my wrist from Emma's mouth, and I don't push her away as I begin to feel the effects of the large blood loss. However, her action gains a growl from Emma as she tightens her grip on my wrist. Tight enough to cause damage and leave bruises behind. Even still, I don't move my wrist, I don't fight her hold. No matter how lightheaded I feel, or that I feel like I'm seconds away from passing out I don't move.

"Emma, you need to stop"

I could hear Maleficent's words, but they sounded so far away.

"It's OK" I say to no one in particular.

It just felt like the right thing to say, all that matters is Emma. That she doesn't look like death is knocking at her door.

I continue to watch her in a daze like manner, watching the changes her body went through. If I didn't see how she looked moments ago with my own eyes, I would have never been able to physically imagine or fathom Emma being in such a state.

"Emma, stop! You're going to kill her; you're going to kill Regina!"

Something seemed to snap within her as she forcefully pushed my wrist from her blood-filled mouth. She looks at me with so much guilt and self-hate. She quickly sat up on the hospital bed and begins to push herself away from me. I immediately reach out to stop her, stopping her before she backed herself off the edge of the hospital bed. I take her hands into my own.

"Don't, please don't pull away from me"

"I'm sorry" Tears run down her face. I could see the conflict that she was going through by looking into her eyes. It was clear that she was struggling with accepting herself in this moment.

"It's OK. You don't need to apologise. You never need to apologise, not for this. Never for this, not to me or anyone else"

I slowly guide her off the hospital bed and she stood up on shaky legs. Using what was left of my physical strength I pull her into a tight hug. I could feel both Maleficent and Ursula behind me, ready to catch either of us if we were to fall.

"You found me" She whispers into my neck, her body shaking with every tear that falls.

I hold her tighter as I fight the pending breakdown that was bound to happen.

I need to be strong, for the both of us. I can't afford to have a breakdown right now.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I wish I could have found you sooner, I should have found you sooner"

She pulls away from my neck to look at me.

"You're really here this time"

"Yes, I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. I'm not leaving, I will never leave you. I will never let anyone hurt you again" My body trembles as silent tears run down my face.

I run my hands gently along her face, trying to ignore all of the blood that was still on her. I look into her dull eyes that were once filled with life and fire, and I couldn't help the sob that left my mouth at what had been lost. Knowing that Emma will never be the same after this. I know I will help her get through this with everything within me, but it won't be easy.

I close my eyes and I use my magic to send us home, removing any trace of the scene behind. When I opened my eyes we were in the garden. The smell and trace of blood was removed from all of us, and I had changed both mine an Emma's clothes, both now wearing a simple plain black pyjama set.

"Were home now. You're safe here. No one can hurt you here, the mansion is protected. No one will ever hurt you again" I repeat the similar words hoping that the more I repeat them the truer they will be.

I will give my life first before I let someone hurt my Emma again.

I pull her into another hug, and she holds onto me tightly, gripping my top into her hands.

"Promise. Promise you're here right now. That their truly gone, and that they're not coming back"

"I promise"

"You really found me" She broke down in disbelief, repeating the words to herself rather than to me.

"I will always find you Emma. Always, no matter what"

I gently guide her face out of the crevasse of my neck, so she was looking directly at me.

"I love you"

I tell her again not wanting her to forget this fact.

Some may think it's selfish for me to say that to her now when she's vulnerable due to everything that's happened, but I won't go another second with her thinking I don't love her. She didn't believe my words before, so hopefully she will believe them now that I'm physically with her. This has shown me that anything can happen, and tomorrow is not promised. I can't and I won't waste any more time. Whether my motives seem selfish or not, it does not change the truth in my words.

She looks at me in shock, almost in disbelief.

"I love you so much Emma"

I lean my forehead against her own, looking directly into her soul.

She looked at me with such an intensity it was enough for me to forget what just happened for a few seconds. There were so many emotions in her eyes; disbelief, fear, anxiety, anger, shock, relief, but the one thing I was looking for reflects at me. It gave me hope that we could make it through this. The love that reflects at me was so pure and true. Now that there was nothing to block our bond, I could feel it so clearly.

How could I have questioned this?

"I love you to" She whispers out with so much emotion and I just about manage to hear her words.

She hesitantly closed the gap between us and placed a soft kiss on my lips, and the feeling I had prayed and dreamed for ever since I was a little girl washes over me. A feeling I never thought I was worthy of experiencing. I have never felt so loved before in my life. I have never felt so much light magic consume me at once at such a great magnitude for a simple innocent act. Even without the large rainbow-like magic that exploded out from within us once our lips touched, I would have known what I experienced.

Author's Note

I hope you enjoyed this chapter, please leave a review and tell me what you think. I found it hard writing this chapter and the previous one, so I'm interested to hear peoples thoughts. I really hope this chapter doesn't feel rushed, if it does I apologise. I really tried to avoid rushing Emma's capture. Nevertheless, thank you for reading.

The next chapter, coming soon...
