Hello, you could consider this a rewrite of Dragon Born, Hero Earned. I lost most of the interest in that telling of the story. I know I have other things I'm working on. But with recent events in my life I need to sit down and start something new.

Chapter 1: The Nordic Hero, the Dovahkiin

I stood atop the tower of Herma Mora's realm of forbidden knowledge, wind of long lost tome floating through the air, the sea of vile ink swelling and crashing below with the breath of the all seeing god of forbidden knowledge.

I leaned on my skyward steel blade, my armor rent and busted open and I bleed from cuts. My hand searched through my potion sack... all out. 'Ugh... I should have listened to that woman when I visited that collage... restoration magic is worth it.' I pulled my weapon's tip out of the ink covered stones. I looked at my opponent, a tall man covered from head to toe in brown greenish robe with golden decoration, a horned squid mask with narrow slits for the eyes, glaring back at me. In one hand a staff made of tentacles and the other a sword that dripped toxic green ink with a slimy tendril coming up from the hilt to the tip of the blade.

"Foolish girl, I have lived for thousands of years, what made you think you could defeat me." Miraak walked towards me. "I have studied every spell, ever sword form, every single method of war. You are a mere night crawling insect to me." His voice was distorted by his mask.

"You... need the dragons souls I have inside of me to escape..." I pointed my blade at him as I backed away from me. My vision was fading, my breaths shortening. "Well... good luck getting them." I spun on my heel, "WULD NAH KEST!" I shouted propelling myself far above the dark sea.

"NOOO!" Miraak yelled as I plummeted down towards to caustic waves.

'Well... I'm sorry everyone... I failed, but I can delay him just a bit longer.' I crashed into the waves the caustic ink making my wounds burn with pain, my arms spasmed grasping at anything, I grabbed a ink soaked scroll and my I saw a blinding light.

Endeavour was responding to a hero call, a strange person had appeared and had crashed into the ground. He stood over a pale skinned girl in heavily damaged armor covered in wounds that had clearly torn the armor apart. A green ink like substance stuck to her. Still tight in her grasp was a sword, "Is she a vigilante?" He asked himself as the paramedics arrived loading the girl up on a stretcher. The number two hero sat in the back of the emergency vehicle in case she woke up.

When she was rushed to the emergency room something was amiss. "NO PULSE!"

But even as they yelled that her chest was clearly moving up and down with her breath. "Must be her quirk! Any identification!"

"No!"

Then a soft spoken words caught the number two hero's attention. "Blood... drinking blood... heals me..." She had opened her eyes, red and orange fiery orbs.

"She need's blood now." The number two hero pushed through the surgeons to where blood tests were being done and bags of blood were being brought. Out He grabbed a rack and roughly brought it into the operation room.

He brought a bag to the girl before letting some of it pour into her mouth, instantly her wounds closed and she sat up coughing her skin having turned a browned gold. Her blade dropped to the ground as she hacked up more of the toxin before falling back on the bed unconscious.

"Still no pulse." A nurse said as he pulled at his grass hair.

I rolled over in a bed, 'Where am I?' I asked myself as I sat up, my hand up to block the blinding light that burned my eyes. A door opened and a mon in a long brown coat walked in.

"Oh, hello, your awake." He said as he removed a brimmed hat before sitting at a desk. "I am detective Naomasa Tsukauchi Of the Local police force."

"Detective? I am Amavera Essori." I said to him as I sat on the edge of the bed.

"Well, Miss Essori, I have a few questions for you, it would be best that you answer them as honestly as you can." He said.

I nodded. "I understand."

"Alright, first of, where are you from?" He asked.

"I was born in Cyrodil in the city of Bruma, before I had to cross the border into Skyrim." I told him.

"Okay, why did you cross the border into... Skyrim?" He asked.

"Ummmm..." 'The would already know. I asked for blood to heal my wounds...' I sighed and kicked my self as the memory came back. "My... condition forced me to run from my home."

"Your... condition?" he asked.

'They want a confession...' "My... vampirism. I was turned less then a year ago." I tilted my head to show the bite mark. "I don't want to... discuss that..."

He just nodded. "I see. Why you arrived in Skyrim, what happened?"

"I walked right into an Imperil trap, along with a few members of the Stormcloak Rebellion as well as their Leader, Ulfric Stormcloak and a horse theif named Lokir, from there we were hualed via cart to Helgan from Dark Water Crossing to be executed. When I was captured they realized what I was the moment I tried to bite one of the soldiers in a feeble attempt to escape... I was beaten into the dirt. Then I was thrown in the wagon with the others... all I can remember that night was crying... begging that they just get it over with." I swallowed hard. "When we arrived in Helgan Lokir tried to make a run for it, and was shot in the back by an archer. Dead before he hit the ground. After that I was dragged to where they would... send us off. A priestess of Akatosh began giving us blessing which only... burned me. Before she could finish a rebel walked up to the block demanding that he didn't have all day. He never stood up, no trial, no family to say good bye too. I couldn't watch it. Next was me... three soldier as to drag me over as I tried to break free."

I took a shaky breath as he handed me a strange bottle of water. "How did you escape?"

"I still don't believe it myself, a black dragon landed on the tower and made it rain fire and stone from the sky. I was dragged into a tower by one of the stormcloak soldiers, inside was Ulfric and a few wounded... the smell of the blood... We leaped from a hole in the tower into the inn, I ran past soldiers as I looked desperately for an escape, before the same man that had pulled me from the block called me into the keep, inside I fully expected him to kill me, but no, he cut me free and I took armor and a weapon from a corpse of a rebel who hadn't been as lucky as us. The man who had saved me... Ralof." I went on to explain how we escaped, to reaching Riverwood, him hiding my condition, me taking a message to the Jarl to send troops to aid the village.

I told him everything, the Companions, my mentors Kodlak, Vilkas and Farkas, well I left out the fact that they were werewolves, the rebellion that Ulfric welcomed me into... with stipulations, Alduin, my position as Dragonborn... the Vampire menace, the Dawngaurd, Isran, Serana. Then Solstime and Miraak. But most importantly what the Black Books and Elder Scrolls were, and why I had so many. It had been several hours by the time I was done.

"You did your world proud... not many heroes can claim half of that." He said, "And you were truthful through out it all."

"You don't have to sugarcoat it... I know I'll be killed." I looked away from him... "Wait... my world."

"No, you won't. And yes... your world, none of those locations exist on earth." he stood up. "We'll do what we can to help you. Your belongings will be returned to you soon."

I sat in this hospital room, I was still taking in everything. Everyday I would read about this world, but for the most part i was in total seclusion aside for when a nurse would bring me blood and Tsukauchi would visit with the chief of police, a Dog Headed man.

On one such visit Tsukauchi came with two new people, a tall man with tired eyes, a black bodysuit with a belt with pouches and a long scarf, and a small furry creature in a suit, "This is Aizawa and Nezu, they are faculty at UA Highschool."

"Yes, we are Japan's number one Hero Academy, and Tsukauchi informed us of you. And well, you are still young, we would like to see if you would join our academy." Nezu said as he held out a paw.

"If you accept, and pass the recommended student's exam, you will be granted a student pass for the country, a chance at citizenry, and and a full scholarship. And yes, we know that you some how carry a literal mountain of gold coins in a pouch. Magic or however you put it."

I nodded. "Okay... how do I get prepared for this exam?" I asked.

"You will be homeschooled until the exam." Tsukauchi said.

"Umm, I don't have a home..." I said.

"I have agreed to be your legal guardian. I know your full story, I'm a police officer so I can provide for you, and we can pass off your oddities as a strange, but powerful quirk." Tsukauchi explained. "The presses would be going crazy if a hero were to take you in."

I nodded. In the weeks I had come to know the police officer, I had learned about quirks, and his in particular, human Lie detector.

I nodded. "Aye." I said to him.

He smiled. "You'll be discharged at the end of the week. We'll get a room together for you."
