I grabbed my gear, a set with a built in hood and followed the rest of the girls to the change room where I sat in the corner by my self. When everyone else was distracted I quickly changed, hiding my many my many battle scars, while I still had my mother's browned golden skin, it was a mere pale shadow of what it should be due to my curse. Picking up my blood bottle I walked out of the change room while pulling the hood low.

Outside I raised a hand to keep the blazing sun out of my eyes. The burning sensation on my exposed skin irritated me as my classmates joined me in a loose half circle around Aizawa. "Alright we are doing your quirk examination. The publicly funded schools refuse to accept that not all quirks are equal, if we are to bring out your maximum potential then we must treat you all individually." Aizawa explained. "These tests are designed to determine if you are worth the effort."

'I see, weed out the whelps before they can get themselves killed.' I thought to myself. 'I know that all too well...'

Chapter 5: Quirk Assessment

"Bakugo, you got the highest point sore in the entrance exam." Aizawa said as he addressed the wild blonde haired boy. "What was your best ball pitch without using your quirk?"

Bakugo was silent for a second as he rubbed his still bruised cheek. "Eighty seven yards." He said.

Aizawa nodded. "Take this ball and throw it with everything your quirk has." he said as he handed the boy a orange ball. Our teacher stepped back as Bakugo stepped up to the plate reeled his arm back.

"DIE!" He roared from the top of his lungs as he threw the ball with all of his might, a explosion blasting from his hand launching the ball beyond our sight. "Heheh." A egoistical smirk on his his face.

"Seven hundred fifty nine point four meters." Aizawa said. "Our training is meant to bring you to the absolute peak of your abilities." He said.

"Oh. MY. GOD! THAT LOOKS LIKE SO MUCH FUN!" Mina cheered with a few other students.

"We get to use our quirks as we want to." The blonde with the black stripe in it smiled as electricity sparked in his hand.

Aizawa turned to where she stood. "It looks like fun? Being a hero isn't some sort of joke. You job is to put your life on the line each and everyday because that is your duty." He said. "Since your aren't going to take this seriously the person who gets last place in the testing will be expelled."

My eyes narrowed at the news. 'Surely he has to be lying...' I thought to myself.

"That isn't fair!" the brown haired girl called out to him.

"Uraraka, it is my job to ensure that you don't die as heroes. Because it will be your job to make sure that no one that you are saving dies. The world isn't fair when villains take away the lives of the innocent. When natural disasters level cities. The world doesn't care for what's fair. So if you want to be heroes you have to go beyond your limits, Plus Ultra!" He snapped at her.

'By Talos... he's serious...' I swallowed hard, I was at sever disadvantage in the sunlight.

First was a fifty meter dash. I watched as people matched up, a large hand landed on my shoulder. "Hey, you want to do it with me?" A large boy with short cut brown hair and large fat lips asked, he was built like a body builder, almost no fat on his frame. "Name's Rikido Sato, by the way."

I shrugged his hand off of me. "Sure. Amavera Essori." I said as we waited our turn. I watched as Momo made a motor scoter from her quirk. 'Really?' I thought to myself.

After she finished her run I stepped up to the line with Sato. "Go." Aizawa said with his eyes half lidded.

Before Sato could take a step I had turned into a bat and flew as fast as I could. I could hear his powerful stride behind me. I could feel the wind under my wings as I reached the line and transformed back skidding to stop. "Two point six seconds, Amavera. Sato, three point seven you have room to improve."

"I wasn't expecting you to turn into a bat." Sato laughed as I fixed my hood, pulling it low over my face.

The tests went by one by one, long jumps, grip strength, side hops, and everyone had had one thing they were good at, thankfully for a few we went inside and I was able to show my full potential, but I only did better then those who couldn't use their quirks to help them in the tests. Kyoka and Hagakure for the most part. Though the little pervert surprised everyone on the side hops bouncing off two piles of his head balls. But I could see that Izuku was getting more nervous by the second, he wasn't using his quirk. 'Almost like he can't use it.'

Soon we were back out side, and Uraraka stepped up to the ball throw touching the ball with the tips of her fingers. A small burst of pink sparkles sprang out before she threw the ball. And it just kept going... and going... and going... and going... "Is... it going to come down?" I asked.

Aizawa turned his device towards us... "INFINITY!" Nearly the whole class yelled.

I gulped as I stepped up... 'I need to do something soon...' I thought of my options. I had been asked to keep my use of my Thu'um to a minimum and only in life or death situations. But my necromancy... I smiled as I created brought energy into my hands, one encasing the ball in ice, the other a unholy swirl of purple power that sucked the light from the air around me.

"What is she doing?" I heard Kyoka ask... "It feels so...cold."

I cast the spell, and from the ground a purple mist rose from beyond the grave, the misty form of a skeleton holding a bow stood a full two feet taller then me. It could tell what my plan was. I cast the ice covered ball in as far from me as I could, the ice spike flaying far from me. I took the bow and arrow from the skeleton And drew the ancient weapon's draw string, the wood creaking as I lined up the shot.

"What... no way..."

I fired the arrow, as the ice spike arc started to fall and after a few seconds of a held breath my arrow intercepted it, shattering the ice and piercing the ball carrying it until it hit the ground.

"Nine hundred meters." Aizawa said. "Not what I would say is conventional..."

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" The whole class turned to Bakugo who was storming over to me. "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT BAT FACE! THREE FUCKING QUIRKS OR SOMETHING!"

"My quirk is Vampire, plain as that. Ice, lightning, undead, transformations, everything a vampire can do I can do." I smiled as I showed off my fangs. "Everything."

"YOU DAMN GOTH!" He raised his hand to attack me but the mistman I had summoned stepped in the way taking the blast.

"I wouldn't do that again." I walked past him. "The dead don't like being disturbed."

I leaned on tree as Izuku stepped up to the plate, I watched as he held the ball in his hand, but I couldn't hear anything from here. He went to throw the ball his arm glowing with power but at the last second it all vanished and when he threw the ball. Aizawa's hair was flowing in the air with his scarf. "I know you, you are the erasure Hero! Erasure Head! Your quirk can turn off the quirks of others!"

"You don't belong here, not with a power like that. You would have just shattered your arm in your feeble attempt at pretending to be something your not." He glared at the boy as his hair and scarf settled down. He threw him a second ball and continued, "Go on break your arm, it isn't like you'll pass this exam."

I furrowed my brow, 'On average from what I have seen him do, Izuku has out performed me, Mineta, Hagakure and Kyoka at least, without using his quirk , Kyoka or Hagakure is the one that should be in last place... so that means he knows something about Izuku's power.' Midoriya turned to the field. For a second there was a look of defeat, I sighed before looking away. 'I'm sorry that I gave you hope... sometimes the world just kicks us when we are down.'

There was a bang and massive gust of air as I looked back up, the ball had last a dissipating shockwave the ball shot throw the air like a bat out of hell landing far in the field. "Mr... Aizawa... m-my arm isn't broken." Midoriya held his hand, his index finger beginning to discolor as though it had shattered... "I can keep going."

If Aizawa had any reaction I couldn't see it, but a certain person a very violent reaction.

"DEKU! HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING THIS YOU DAMN LOSER!" Bakugo ran towards Izuku but Aizawa used his scarf snagging him and holding him in place.

"ENOUGH! MY QUIRK HURST MY EYES SO DON'T MAKE ME USE IT THIS MUCH!" Aizawa yelled at him as his hair and scarf floated around his head. "I would think the boy that was knocked out at the start of the day would understand that he can't act like he own's the place."

"Tsk." Bakugo yanked himself out of the scarf.

The tests went on, sit ups, jumping jacks, pushups, and finally a long distance run. I cast a spell at the start of the race summoning a old friend.

"Hey Arvak." I petted the purple flaming horse as I mounted him taking the chain reins as I sat in the cracked leather saddle. I was soon far ahead of everyone else, much to a angry blonde's anger.

"A MAGIC FUCKING HORSE!" He shouted as we galloped past him.

I waited as the sun was setting for the others. "Be more careful with your powers." Aizawa said to me.

I was running my hands through Arvak's flaming mane as he said that. "Look, my Thu'um is too dangerous for the school, I agreed to avoid using that for the powers that I despise. Once your people help me find a way home I am leaving." I said to him. He just nodded. "And I know that you are targeting Midoriya. His base physical abelites should place him mid way in the class power wise." Aizawa raised a eyebrow at this.

"You have the experience of a Rebellion leader. Do you send the inexperienced in to die?" He asked me.

"No, you teach the fools how to fight, but death will always be unavoidable. A mighty warrior could be felled from a mere farmer's arrow just as easily the greater an could cut him down. I had to make hard calls, with people questioning me every step of the way. People died, but they died fighting for their homeland." I looked away. "I always ask myself, if I could have done better."

He nodded. "Those are the kinds of choices I have to make for these students. If I miss anything in their training, it will fall on me if they die." I silently agreed as the class came closer to us. "Just try to enjoy this small amount of childhood you get back."

I raised my eyebrow at that, but couldn't question it as the others arrived huffing and panting.

It was short while later We had gotten the results to tests. "Everyone gather round." Aizawa called us over. He brought up the list and I had come in sixth over all, Todoroki in first and Bakugo close behind him with...

"I- I'm in last..." Midoriya said defeated.

"Midoriya, head to the nurse's office and get that finger fixed up. I want to se all of you in class, including you Midoriya." Aizawa said as he walked away. "The expulsion was a strategic tactic to ensure that you put your best into it."

"SO IT WAS A LIE!" Uraraka yelled out.

"You didn't figure it out, maybe I should have said something?" Momo said.

I just walked away on my own to get showered and changed. I walked into the changing room the door banging behind me before I went to my locker and grabbed my thermos of blood and drank a swig of the crimson ichor and quickly changed. "Wait up Ama!" I turned to look at Mina.

"What is it? I need to get going." I said.

"Sheesh, no need to be so cold. I was thinking we could hang out!" She smiled.

"No." I walked past her into the shower.

"Oh come on! It'll be fun!"

I turned to look at the pink skinned girl, fiery red and gold meeting black and yellow. "I just have too much to deal with." She pouted at me. "Fine, if I find time, I'll consider it."

'Enjoy this small amount of childhood you got back.' I could here Aizawa's words in my head.

I showered and left the school, Naomasa waiting for me. I got in the seat of his car and I went home with him. 'The first day is done...'

Hey there.
