"Something about her is dark, and malevolent." A girl came to the front of the group. "Shiozaki Ibara of 1-B." Her green vine hair traveled most of the length of her body.
"You best watch what you say." I retorted, glaring at the group. "1-A will be ready for what ever you throw at us."
"Say's the half pint brat." Monoma leaned down to look me in the eye.
Chapter 13: Training
That lunch I walked to the dinning hall with Mina and Momo. "So Amavera, what's your plans for training?" Momo asked as we walked through the hall.
"Oh, well Midoriya asked me to help him train his quirk." I said, and I could see Mina's face light up. "No."
"Oh you don't know what I was going to say." She whined.
I sighed. "Midoriya doesn't seem like the kind of person to date. From what I can infer from him he is more concerned with being a hero. And besides he have most of what I like in a person, yeah he is nice and kind, and courageous, he's just too... meek and soft in a way."
"Oh, then what do you like in a person?" Mina asked as we passed Midoriya's group only to see All Might. I looked away from the pink girl to try to hide whatever look of embarrassment I had.
"Young Midoriya, would you like to eat lunch with me?" The number one hero asked the green haired boy.
"O-of course All Might." He followed the Pro hero.
"How odd, it would appear that Izuku has caught the eye of the number one hero." Iida said as he and Uraraka joined us.
"Yeah, given what Essori did at the USJ incident, taking down those Nomu creatures you would think he would take an interest in her." Uraraka said.
I shrugged. "It's probably due to their quirks, given how similar they are."
We soon stood in line for lunch. "Essori, don't you want to be the number one hero?" Iida asked. "You do have a high tier power."
"It's more of the fact of what my power is, Vampire, entails most aspects of well, vampires. Not many people will like a literal blood sucker as the number one hero." I said. "In fact I am expecting to get booed at for just how morbid my quirk is. Reanimating the dead, creating bodies, and other very dangerous powers. And then there is a glaring fact that I'll be at a disadvantage. I have to wear a hood outside at all times during the day to not have sunlight glaring in my eyes."
"Wait, Essori are your powers weaker in sunlight?" Momo asked.
I groaned. "Yes, by about a quarter of my strength and even more if I transform." I admitted. "I don't expect to just wash the competition."
"I see, so you aren't as all powerful as you seemed." Iida said as we grabbed our food, from across the lunch hall I could see Shoto, the half white and half red haired boy looked away from us when I spotted him.
'That's odd.' I thought to myself.
I stood in the training center with Midoriya. "Alright, so you have issues with controlling the exact out put of your quirk?" I rubbed my chin. "So that means you need experience using it."
He nodded. "I-I can't break my fingers and arms every time I use it." He looked at his hands. "The damage will build up."
I snapped my fingers and a from a flash of swirling purple light a Wraith Man skeleton appeared. "Simple, I'll have you repeat the action until you can control your strength. Now hit Skelly here."
"I'm sorry... you want me to do the thing that hurts me... over and over?" The look of horror in his eyes wasn't misplaced.
"Midoriya, how do you think I controlled my power, experimentation and repetition. I'll handle your injuries. Besides, without my gear in the sports festival I will have to rely on stuff like this, so this is good training for me." I gestured to Skelly. "Have at him."
"A-alright." He stood in his stance. The red line energy of his quirk coated his arm and small sparks of green lightning crackled around him, "DETROIT SMASH!" He shouted, throwing a fist into the skeleton's chest. The undead creature was vaporized nearly instantly, but just as fast Midoriya screamed out in pain. "I T-TOLD YOU THIS WAS A BAD IDEA!" He screamed through gritted teeth.
I hovered my hands over the injured arm as golden magic flowed from my palms into his arm, the bruising retreating as the bones set back into place and tissue was grown back slightly stronger. "I don't use my healing powers nearly as much as I should." truthfully I normally downed healing potions over the spells.
"Just how much can you do? It's like you have... multiple quirks." His eyes seemed to widen for just a second.
"Don't be ridiculous how could someone have multiple quirks?" I asked. "After all you inherited All Might's power didn't you? That's why you can't control it."
He blanched as he jumped back. "H-how could you know that? Are you a-"
"I live with All Might's friend Naomasa, the detective that showed up at the USJ and interviewed us. I'm nocturnal by nature." I said. "I overheard somethings about him having a successor. Tidbits here and there." I crossed my arms. "And no, I'm not a villain. Your secret is safe with me." I crossed my a X over my heart, a dull light on the training clothes. "I'm not interested in the details, or how you inherited it. I just couldn't afford you getting the wrong idea about me."
He seemed to calm down a bit. "T-then... why do you have so many abilities?"
"That's under even more red tape then your quirk Midoriya. But if you promise to keep this a secret I'll tell you one thing." I said as I uncrossed my arms.
"I-I promise." He stuttered.
"They aren't quirks. After I started to get to know you I knew you would be a problem. Your fascination with Heroes led you to look into the Companions, and what did you find?" I asked him
"They... don't exist." He said. "Not Quirks?"
"They don't exist, and now why would my powers not be a quirk?" I asked him.
He turned even whiter. "Y-you-you-you are a real vampire!?" He stumbled back as I clamped a hand on his mouth.
"Don't go screaming it. Yes the staff knows about this. They are trying to help me get back home. And hopefully my allies on the other side are trying to find me as well. Like I said, not a villain. Now are you going to scream again?"
He shook his head. I slowly pulled my hand and helped him up. "Back home?" He asked.
"I am not meant to be here, in fact when I arrived here I nearly broke down by just how advanced your world is. I live in either a wooden long house, or a giant fortress where I hunted down evil vampires most of the time." I said.
"Why are you telling me this?" He asked.
"Because you of all the students at UA, is liable to get me exposed and the last thing I want or need to be is the ambassador for a world on the verge of a war again, to one that is so much more advanced. You get the idea?"
"You are a hero from another world..." He sat down on a bench.
"Hero... soldier, sell sword. I fought mostly for profit, after all a runaway orphaned vampire isn't going to have the skills for much else. I didn't want power, not to be a hero, or a fighter at all. It's why I respect you, you sought power not for your own gain, but for the safety of others. I became stronger to defend myself, in the grand scheme of things I didn't care much about the average citizen. I was focused on staying alive." I sat next to him. "Your world is so much kinder then mine... But it isn't my home."
"How did you..." He started.
"Come here? This is something I've been trying to figure out, but the main reason is the villain Miraak. But for your sake he's my concern, not anyone else's. Now let's make this clear, none of that leaves this room, and we never speak of it again. Only if somehow my cover is blown wide open." I stood up. "Let's get back to training. We'll do each arm five times, then each leg, then your fingers for your flicks. Then unpowered sparring with fists, and then mock weapons, lastly we'll do strength and cardio, and a cool down."
Miraak sat behind a operating table as a black suited man laid down, the arcane symbols glowing bright. "All For One. I'll begin the process of repairing the internal and external scarring, this will take close to a month given the age of the wounds. But you'll be as powerful as as you were, all those years ago."
"Indeed." All For One said as Miraak carefully removed the large sections of the black life support mask he wore. "Your tutoring of Shigaraki in the art you call magic has allowed him to make great strides. One the good doctor better understands those deadra we can create the most powerful living weapons."
"Ah yes, the progression of knowledge. The gaining of true power. Once you hold the power of the Essori girl, your forces will be unstoppable. I'll be free to roam the worlds once again." Miraak's voice reverberated from his mask. "There is no good, there is no evil, only the strong, the weak and those willing to claim power."
"What of your cult?" All For One asked the first Dragonborn.
"It grows, without the last Dragonborn to slaughter my devoted followers, they are collecting new members. But the child's allies have taken notice long since that their little savoir is missing. The descendants of Ysgramor's Companions have been spotted on Solstheim, the vampire hunters have turned their attention to my cult led by their leader and another vampire lord. Castle Volkahar, once the strongest bastion of vampires has been seeing an increase in magical activity and that blasted Dark Elf wizard on the far shore of the island has simply vanished. I had heard reports of him going to the main land. But the greatest threat, the dragons that recognize Amavera as the rightful Queen of the Dovah have been mustering atop the throat of the world. And my cultists are being hunted down by the Stormcloak army." Miraak chuckled. "It's all a game, that they have already lost."
All For One smiled, his scared eyeless face pleased. "These worlds will bow before us Miraak."
Hey what did you think?
