No one could tell just what Stanley the Bugman was up to at the moment. He was known to be quite the recluse. He always kept to himself, never spoke to anyone. Stanley used to work at the Albano Greenhouse many years back, where he had kept the infamous gorilla Donkey Kong away from the plants. Even then, this was only but a small chapter of Stanley's life. The guy genuinely enjoyed working at the greenhouse and doing whatever tasks needed to be done. When Stanley left to pursue greener (excuse me) pastures, his co-workers and boss wished him farewell. After this, Stanley seemed to have bounced from town to town, job to job, always incognito.

Stanley never set out to become famous. The day Donkey Kong entered the greenhouse, Stanley ran for cover as the other employees desperately tried to keep the beast away from the carefully curated garden. The mischievous ape clung onto vines, stirring nearby beehives on either side on him to unleash a horde of flying insects which descended upon the greenhouse employees. Donkey Kong laughed as he watched the people below him tripping over themselves trying to get rid of him and fend off the pests at the same time.

While a few of Stanley's co-workers tried to convince the gorilla to climb down from the ceiling, Stanley snuck over to the scene with a can of bug repellent he had found on the floor. He walked straight over to DK, shooing away bees, and started to spray the gorilla with reckless abandon. Stanley's co-workers freaked out, fearing Donkey Kong would jump down from the vines and go on a rampage. However, the brand of bug spray Stanley used was like Kryptonite to the marauding menace. Donkey Kong tried to keep away from the spray as Stanley continued to aim at his torso. Before long, the ape had had enough, and had no choice but to exit the greenhouse via the same way he came in: through the roof door.

Stanley's feat was broadcast on the local news that night. A repellent company offered the a deal to advertise their product on TV, but Stanley rejected the proposal because he didn't want to attract too much attention to himself. Donkey Kong never appeared at the Albano Greenhouse again, but Stanley made a pledge to himself to keep an eye out for the ape should he ever return.
