Summary- Harry made a huge mistake at the end of his second year. One that followed him through the years stealing nearly everything from him. But what happens when Harry is given a chance to get it all back? A chance Harry quickly takes. However not everything turns out like Harry would have expected it to. Now how will Harry deal with being in the world of the Walking dead, even if being there did give him back what he lost? Will he find it worth it? Or will he attempt to go back to the world he was in before even when he knows what is waiting for him there?

Disclaimer- I do not own Harry Potter, or the Walking dead.

Chapter three

It had been a good four years since Harry had decided to permanently leave the wizarding world, as well as his own home world altogether. Which after a little bit of difficulty starting up, and a good deal of panic of just what he was going to do next, had actually turned out rather good for him.

In fact, it had actually been really nice, nicer than Harry had originally thought it was going to be anyway; nearly everything Harry had dreamed of in fact. Honestly now looking back on it, he really should have known with his luck it wasn't going to last; just looking at his past showed that.

But at least the good part did last a while and had been really great while things had been going amazing for Harry. Seeing as Harry had been able to get into the collage he had wanted, Emory University.

He had gotten on the fast track for the medical degree that he had wanted; he had even managing to finish the degree a good year fast then he had thought was possible. With some of the highest grades the school had seen in a long while to boot. Opening up numerus jobs for Harry because of this.

These grades, and the job opportunities they opened up for him, were something Harry was incredibly proud of; as it was something he had done on his own. Even if he was able to get such amazingly high grades from a combination of the perfectionist training, he had been forced to undertake, and the information the veil had downloaded into his brain in the first place.

But still it wasn't like he hadn't worked for those grades afterwards. Because he had, Harry had long since learned to put a hundred percent in everything he did and considering what those grades could mean for his future meant Harry had put everything he could in learning everything he need; and then some.

Which was how Harry had even managed to finish said schooling year fast then the already accelerated program he was on had set for him. Even if it did leave him having many days without any sleep, and nearly collapsing by the end of it all.

Not only that but Harry, after he had gotten out of school, had managed to get the job that he had wanted since he had first arrived in this new world; or at least the job he had decided he had wanted while doing his schooling.

Considering he had originally been debating between two different jobs that felt like he would be suited best for. But in the end, he had gotten one of the jobs he felt would work with him best; both in personality as well as the work he would be able to do.

As after a lot of hard work and debating Harry had finally decided that when it came to working at either the CDC or the Harrison Memorial Hospital, that he would rather work at CDC in the long run.

Mainly because the fact, that while Harry liked the idea of helping others, like he would be able to do in this hospital, he wasn't completely sure that he had the bed side manner necessary to be a doctor.

At least not for the long hours, that a doctor would be required to have. What with his lack of ability to connect or strongly show the emotions he was feeling. Not to mention his attack first question later mentality he still had when he was in any way attacked.

Something Harry felt would happen at the hospital, be it people trying to push past him while in a rush or the fact devastated people may lash out and attack him if they blamed him for what happened to their family member. Which Harry wasn't sure he wouldn't be able to respond in kind due to the fact he had to fight almost all his life; be it in training or not.

This feeling, or idea was only reinforced by the fact that the few people he had worked with during school never hesitate in telling him he lacked empathy at times. Or in some cases screamed at him that he didn't have any empathy at all; some time even going as far as to call him heartless.

Something Harry wasn't sure if was true or not seeing as most of the time the students who told him this seemed to rather jealous of how fast Harry was learning everything. Or if not that, had just been as politely as Harry could, rejected when asked if he wanted to go out. As Harry didn't want to currently start any type of relationship with anyone; be it as friends or more.

Not to mention the fact he didn't react the way they wanted in certain situations; or when told certain piece of information that honestly he didn't want to know in the first place as he didn't care about the latest gossip; whatever it may be.

But still Harry would rather be safe than sorry when it came to things like that; especially when it came to other people and how they would react to him. And if others that were working to the same goal as he was told he came off too cold to be in anyway comforting than he should probably take that into account.

But at the same time, even if he didn't think he would best fit in a permeant job at the hospital, Harry did want to be able to help others. He wanted to be able to put what he had gotten from the veil, as well as what he had learned from his schooling to good used. Not only that but Harry really did want to be able to do things like heal others from their injuries; like he hadn't been able to have done for himself while he was growing up.

Yet, at the same time he could so see the mixing of magical healing and the more normal medical inclined healing doing more help at the CDC then it would at the Hospital; not to mention a bit more privacy in doing so. As he'd be able to hide more of what he was doing there and wouldn't have patient's family members, or friends, constantly hovering over his back wondering what he was doing next.

Or if not that his fellow doctors watching his every move sharply in ensure everything was done correctly so no one would die under his hand; or so the hospital he was working at wouldn't be sued because of something he had done. Something he didn't feel would be as bad at the CDC as most people would be more concentrated on the work they were doing on their own or in their teams.

Meaning he would be able to hide just what he had done, and what he would do for that matter, a lot easier than he would in other places. So, he felt that in the end he would be able to do more than he would have been able to at the hospital without too many people questioning he about just what he was doing. Making it so his choice to be more obvious to himself.

But even as Harry realized this, and to satisfy his growing need he had to actually help other, or as Hermione used to call it his saving people syndrome, in a more hands-on way then he was doing in the CDC, Harry did spend time volunteering at the Harrison Memorial Hospital. Though he did make it so as a volunteer it was in places where he didn't have to spend a lot of time around others while putting the medical knowledge he had to good used.

What could he say but by volunteering like he did, he was able keep the skill he had with healing sharp and he was able to satisfy some of his urge to help others. Even if that urge was nowhere near as strong as it had been before his so-called training had begun. Now it was more of, I want to make up for what I did by helping others urge.

Besides, it wasn't like the hospital didn't need any volunteers; especially ones with the skills he had. It was like having a skilled unpaid doctor right on hand; something that the hospital wasn't willing to toss way so easily. Even with the circumstances and limitation that occurred due to Harry being there.

Not only that but at the same time Harry was using the small amount of time that he did work at the hospital as a way to get himself to socialize more than he had been. Something that Harry didn't really do at the CDC as everyone seemed to be too busy to do so.

It was like most of the CDC was about as antisocial as Harry himself was most of the time. Which most of the time Harry did enjoy, but at the same time he knew that he needed to socialize more, or it could very easily bite him in the ass later on. As it had almost done while he had been in school and looking for a job in the first place.

Because of the time that he spent in the hospital Harry felt that he was actually starting to open up a little more than he had been. At least to a smaller degree as he still couldn't bring himself to trust or speak to most people. But he was able to speak to others without coming off as uncaring and he was able to offer some sense of comfort to those he talked to. So that was an improvement from what he had first been like.

Not only that but at the same time Harry felt that he was getting slightly more in tune with his emotions then he had been before. Which helped him more when it came to opening up to others. Something Harry was now a little less reluctant to do.

Though, even despite this and the effort Harry put into it, the majority of the hospital was still calling Harry an icy bastard behind his back. While, all the while, he continued to act like he couldn't hear them insult him like that; as well as remind himself he was there for the patents and not the other doctors.

Even as at the same time, Harry wondered if he had missed some sort of social ques and that was why they didn't like him? Because Harry knew he had never been good at seeing social ques before and the training he had been forced through shot the little ability he did have to hell and back; making him more awkward then ever when it came to social interaction.

Currently Harry was volunteering, and doing most of the work, to help a coma/shot wound victim. One that seemed to be more pushed off to the side because of the unlikelihood of him waking up. And who Harry had been informed by the man's partner, at least from the police squad they were both part of, was called Rick Grimes.

Harry had managed to heal the gun wound the man had no problem. As it wasn't too different from the wounds, he had gotten himself from piercing curses and other similar curse. At least it wasn't once Harry had removed the bullet that is. He had even managing to make sure said wound wouldn't affect the man in question later on with weakening muscles and other side effect. With a little help from his Magic that is.

Which Harry had made sure to do in such a way no one would ever expect he hadn't done anything but shown so high skills when it came healing others in a more mundane way; like all the other doctors around him could do.

Though at the same time, like most doctors, even those that had been in the magical world, he had no idea what to do when it came to problems of the mind. So, for the time being Harry really couldn't think of anything he could do to help this Rick out of the coma he current was in. Well, besides waiting it out that is; which was what Harry was currently doing.

However, in the meantime, even if he did have to leave Rick in a coma, Harry did have a slight advantage compared to the other doctors that were in similar situations as him. Seeing as he could, and did, subtly use his magic to help Rick stay in shape instead of letting the muscles and strength he had withered away as he laid in his bed. It wasn't much, and Harry honestly wished that he could do more, but at the moment Harry was doing what he could; without being blatantly obvious about it.

Besides Harry felt that as an officer Rick would be more grateful about the fact that the muscle he had wasn't slowly rotting away while he laid up in bed; Harry knew that he most certainly would be grateful if he had been in Rick situation.

And honestly when it really came down to it, Harry didn't really know Rick at all. And while he was doing quite a bit to help him, more so than he had done for any others in a while. In the end Rick really was just one of the first living person he had been given by the hospital to help by himself.

Which because of that fact he honestly did want to seriously want to do his best for him or at least the best he could with what he had. Yet, at the same time, even as he was doing this Harry didn't see why putting himself at risk of being discovered, and therefor experiment on, was something he wanted to do for a complete stranger.

Which did limit just what Harry was willing to do to help him; at least in the long run it did. And it made it so that, yes, Harry did use some of his magic to help Rick but at the same time, even when there was a bit more he could do with the help of Magic, he still kept the magical help he was giving Rick as subtilty as he could. As honestly Harry wasn't sure if healing the man completely would wake him from his coma anyway.

Besides his job, and the collage he had been able to complete, Harry had also been able to slowly but surely transfer the majority of his gold into cash. Along with several different bank accounts, and a saving account to boot.

The actually transferring part was what took most of the time to get done, in fact it had taken Harry the entire time he had been in collage to set up and build. As he had to be careful about how much gold he transferred, how he did it and the time he had it all done is as he didn't want to draw too much attention towards himself and the sudden money he now had.

But once that was done Harry had been able to get the rest of his plans done. Including paying for his school, and more importantly to Harry finally getting the home he wanted set up, so he had a place he could at long last call completely his own. A home which Harry had only just recently been able to get into despite the fact he had started it not long after he had gotten his first bank account set up.

This was because of how specific Harry had been with some of the things he wanted inside his home; and no looks he got were going to change his mind about it. Even if the home in question was one that had the construction workers, who he had hired to build everything, look at him like he was insane when they saw just what he wanted.

Before putting him off as some type of eccentric billionaire, an economical eccentric billionaire at that. Seeing as he had the entire place made so it didn't run on electricity in the least bit; or anything else that could even remotely be called damaging to the environment around it. Or for that matter depended on another company, or outside force, to give it the necessary power.

Instead, everything was powered by solar, wind and waterpower or something similar to that. At least that is what Harry made it look like to the builders that were setting up everything. However, in truth when it came to what was really powering everything Harry had it set up in a way that the majority of the things where actually going be powered by Harry's magic and the wild magic of the earth instead. With the few things that couldn't be powered by either of those being powered by previous mention source of energy.

Something Harry had done as he knew electronics and magic really didn't mix all too well, and while he could be around electronics. It was only if he tightly wrapped his magic inside his core so it wouldn't touch any outside electronic. Something that was exhausting to do for long periods of time and something that Harry wouldn't be doing in the one place where he was supposed to be able to relax in thus, he made sure he wouldn't have to.

Still the fact that Harry was, in the mind of the construction workers, an economical eccentric billionaire didn't bother those that were building his home. Not in the least bit, considering with just how much work he was giving them, the more expensive material it was going to take, and the time it was going to take them, all meant that all the construction workers were going to get a very large payment out of it.

Making it so the workers were more willing to utterly over-look the fact Harry wasn't quite normal. At least for the amount of payment they were going to get they were. Besides in the end, beyond a drunken story to tell, or to brag they helped put Harry's house up the begin with, that was all Harry's home was going to end up for those builders. Or at least that was what the builder believed as the continued to do the work they had been hired for.

Because it took so long for Harry's house to actually get built this meant Harry had actually had to have an apartment near campus as his house was being built. If only because he didn't want others to ask where he lived only to find out he either lived in his trunk or a tent that he had gotten out of said trunk.

That would raise way too many questions for Harry to answer; not that he'd be able to really do so in the first place. At least not without magic to help erase the fact anyone found out about it in the first place. So, no it was just safter to stay on campus. Even if both things he had been living in before were magical and were large, not to mention a lot safer, then the apartment he had spent the years in.

Though Harry could say that living in the apartment he was did have the added benefit of anyone who decided to look for him would think that said apartment was his more permanent home and not a place he was simply staying until his true home was done. Making it so if anyone decided to look for him, they would look for him at said apartment before anywhere else. Well, beside the construction workers who had been working on his house until it had been finished that is.

Unfortunately, because of the fact Harry was paranoid and didn't want anyone to seriously know just where he was going to be living. Those construction workers wouldn't be remembering just where they had built Harry's home. Or what exactly they built for that matter. Instead, it would be rather vague for a bit before their mind would tell them it wasn't really that important.

Harry made this so with a little help from his magic. Without any guilt in his mind as he did so because of the really high pay checks Harry had given them in return for what he had done.

Each having a good five thousand dollars more than Harry was actually supposed to pay them; as small way to say sorry for messing with their mind in the first place. Not that the construction workers knew this because as far as they knew it was a tip for going above and beyond with their work.

Say what you will about Harry messing with the construction workers mind's but as it stood, he really didn't want anyone knowing where he lived. Or just what he lived like for that matter. Besides, it wasn't like he was doing it to be malicious or anything like that, or that the construction workers had been hurt by his spell; and it wasn't like he hadn't attempted to make what he was doing a little bit better for them with the boost in their pay. Hell, for that matter it wasn't like he hadn't paid them in the first place, something that with the spell work he had don, he could have easily had done if he had wanted to.

It was just that, to him his home was his sanctuary, a place where he could be alone, and no one could bother him in. It was just like what his trunk had become to him, both in his old world and the new one; a representation of the freedom he now had.

And as such he felt that if anyone knew about it, they would somehow do something that would destroy that; something he wasn't willing to risk. Something he wasn't sure he would ever be able to risk. And not just because he almost afraid of how he would react if that ever did happen.

In the end when it came to the little over two hundred and fifty acers of land that Harry had purchased. Admittedly with a bit of difficulty at the beginning both because of his age and the money it would have cost. But in the end when it came to where he had his home set up on, there was quite a bit of development on said land.

Seeing as what Harry had done to the land he now owned, at least when everything was said and done, was something remarkably similar to what the older houses that the Black family, and the Potter family had before he had gone through the veil.

Or at least similar enough without the more recent developments that he had added that is. In fact, his new house, without the more recent developments, where startlingly similar to how a lot of the more ancient noble families had their older manors; if they still had them that is.

This was something Harry did both because, he had grown to love those types of houses and as a way to honor both the Black and Potter family. In one of the only ways, he could think of while being in a completely different world.

Because despite everything he had been through Harry still did want to honor his godfather, as well as his parents, in some way. Even if he couldn't really use his magic out in the open as a way to do so; like being an unspeakable or something similar to that like his parents would have been.

So, he felt that by living in a house that was similar to the ones they had spent so much time together in, Grodic Hallow, in his parent's case, and the Potter manor when he had been younger, in Sirius's case was the one way Harry could think that would honor them all.

Not only that but the designs of building like those were a lot easier to ward then the more modern looking homes. Which was another plus, along with the fact that the land around the manor in question worked better for what Harry had planned then it being more modern would have.

Harry's home was a large Manor that sat almost directly in the middle of the land he had purchased. Which before he had even began building on he had first had all of it fenced in, by almost twenty-foot-high stone walls with the only entrance to the entire place being a door made of Iron wood.

That itself could only open when Harry pushed his magic through it. Having been made even strong then it normal woold have been with the magical enforcement he added to the door in question. Not to mention the Rune sequence that ensured it would only be opened by Harry in the first place.

Though this part he only truly activated after all the building was done so that the key, he had made for the construction workers would open the door for them. Or at least it did until everything was done with and the keys had all been taken back as well as well as the protections turned on. Because honestly, he couldn't be there each and every time the construction workers where there to work on his building.

He did have school, and after that work to deal with during the day; so there had to be a way for the workers to get into his land without him being there. At least they had to be so that there was less question that way. While at the same time still giving Harry the protection he wanted for his home afterwards without feeling like it had been hindered in anyway.

The manor itself, was a large one with five different floors to it; six if you included the small basement that Harry had added in. Similar to how the Potter manor had been back in his old world, but not as large as some of the Black family homes he had owned back then. But to him it was more than large enough, and still for the most part honored both families he had been from.

He had made it so that, when it came to his new home, each floor having its own design and place in the Manor. And each floor equal was pretty much equal in size to the one above or below it; leaving the building looking squarer in shaped then the more normal almost pyramid shapes most building took now a days. Though, he did put in several protections on this both the more mundane and magical to help with things like heavy rain, snow or other natural disasters that the shape of his house was weaker against.

On the first floor was what most homes had in their first floors; or at least what most the homes he had seen had on their first floors. Which was large kitchen, a large dining room, an even large living room. Which itself connected to a library that Hermione would have been jealous of; as well as two half bathrooms.

When it came to furnishing, or getting the supplies for his new home Harry, rather than using everything in his trunks instead decided to use some of the supplies he had, while buying quite a few new things to furnish the rooms. After all his trunk didn't have some of the more Muggle like things that his house would need.

At least not the ones that Harry wanted when it came to his own comfort and sense of style he was developing. Plus, for once Harry felt he had the opportunity to splurge in a way that he had never been able to before and wanted to take full advantage of that. As he wasn't sure he would be able to do so again; not without bring attention he didn't want to towards himself at least.

This including fully stocking both the kitchen, which held a wood burning stove as well as a stone baked oven; along with several other things used primarily for baking. Seeing as Harry had decided to go all out when it came to his kitchen by having all new cooking supplies, spices, dry foods, canned foods, meats and vegetables, added to it.

All of which were treated similar to all the other food supplies he had in his trunk and had preservation spells added to them. So, the likelihood of them going bad before they could be used was severely unlikely to happen.

Even less so due to the fact Harry had also added several smaller personal wards in the area his perishables where stored; making it so that even if he didn't add any more magic to them, then that was already in the, the items in the wards wouldn't go bad for many years.

The dining room was a large family style dining room that had one very large, long table surrounded by chairs. Why exactly Harry had it set up this way when it was just him eating there, making it seem like a large waste of space, he didn't know. But thought perhaps he had made it that way in the hopes that he would one day have a large enough family to have them all join in at the table and eat together.

Something Harry had always dreamed about when he was younger, and it seemed like still dreamed about it. Despite the fear he still carried when it came to being around other, not to mention how social awkward he was in most cases. Yes, despite all of that a small part of him was still like the eight-year-old child he had been longing for a family he could happily call his own.

After all, regardless of everything he had been though, and how he had acted at times, Harry never really got rid of the dream he had for a family of his own. Besides again it was something that reminded him of Sirius seeing as it was the table him and his godfather had eaten at the rare chance, they had actually been able to eat together. Which much to Harry's disgruntlement only was able to happen at max three times before his godfather had gotten it in his head to openly challenge the headmaster about Harry's situation.

When it came to the living room, since the house in question wasn't one that ran on electricity, nor was it ever going to be, this mean there wasn't any large screen televisions or anything like that in it.

Seeing as Harry never seen the point, nor really ever had the chance to actually enjoy anything like that and didn't feel like doing so now that he had the chance. Mostly because he remembered vividly how his uncle and cousin had been when it came to the Tv. Something he remembered vividly despite the fact that he hadn't seen them since he was twelve-year-old; and last, he had heard of them they had died a little after his fifteen birthday.

Instead, Harry had several extremely comfortable couches, two sets of love seats as well as a couple of recliners situated around the room. With several indoor activities placed on different tables that were placed around the room in different strategic places.

These items included cards, notebooks, pencils, color pencils, pens, charcoal, parchment, drawing paper, wood for carving, carving tools, different types of clay, quite a bit of yarn, needles, hooks, and board games as well as several different forms of instruments; with the books on how to learn to play them beside them.

Something Harry was rather interested in as he had never been able to learn to play an instrument before but at the same time had always wanted to. A music had always been a source of comfort when he had been growing up.

When Harry looked at this room, he couldn't help but feel that this was perhaps how the Potter family room would have looked if they hadn't been attacked all those years ago and couldn't help but want to keep it like that. As to him it just screamed with a sense of warmth and comfort that he had longed for.

Again, hoping that sometime in the future it would turn in to a real family room instead of just looking like one. Besides, it wasn't like he would use the things in this room at one point or another. Seeing as he really couldn't sit and do nothing for long periods of time, he just had to either occupy his mind or his body in some way or he felt like he was going insane.

The last room on this floor at least, besides the two half bathrooms that is, was that of the library. Which was a room Harry had furnished with thick comfortable chairs, a few tables, solar panel lamps, thick candles, as well as a couple of oil lamps and several battery-operated flashlights; for a worst came to worst type of scenario.

He also had large wooden bookshelves that went around the whole room. Bookshelves which were full of book after book on different things. Some for information and some for just pure enjoyment. After all, it wasn't like you could read too much or anything like that now was it. Besides most time information was well worth its weight in gold.

Not to mention he had managed to move his magical books to the further part of the Library, that similar to the Black family hose had been, was warded so only he could get into; a precaution Harry decided to add on the off chance he did invite someone in his house some point in the future. However unlikely that may seem to him at the time.

The Second through fourth floors was where again another thing that was similar to the homes he had in his old world. In such a way as his home also had several floors made up purely of what could amount to bedrooms or guestrooms. These were all located from the second floor to the fourth floor of his manor.

This was because Harry after some serious debating with himself decided that while he did want a family of his own that may not be for quite some while. As he had trouble trusting adults, and others close to his age, around him. Something that would make having a family of his own, by blood at least something that wouldn't be possible until he learned to trust others.

At the same time Harry had begun to think about his childhood while his home was being built and how it had taken him so many years to finally have the home he had always wanted. At the same time while thinking this Harry couldn't help but think that he didn't want any child to go through anything like he had if he could help it.

It was during these thought that Harry realized he could get the family he wanted, and at the same time help ensure that children without parents, like him, wouldn't suffer through what he had growing up. And that his home would be perfect for that.

It was after coming to this realization that Harry had begun to put new plans into motions. Ones that once he was mentally well enough, would make his home something remarkably similar to an Orphanage.

One made to take care of any child that would need a home in and give them a place to call their own. Which was one of the reasons Harry had made sure to have so many rooms placed in his home in the first place. Because in the end it really wouldn't only be his home by his children's home as well. Or at least it wouldn't once Harry was able to tame his kill first reflex that had been trained into him.

It was because of this train of thought that Harry's, second, third and fourth floors where all were the bedrooms, and bathing area were located. And honestly was where Harry put the most thought into when it came to designing; at least when it came to the layout of the place in particular.

On these floors, similar to how it had been in the houses he had inherited by his family, there were eight large bedrooms to be found on each of the floors leaving Harry with a total of twenty-four different bedrooms altogether.

And considering this was going to be his home, for what Harry hoped was a long while, not to mention it may become the future home for the orphans he wanted to take in. Harry had tried to do his best to make it look like he always dreamed his future home would look like. Taking some examples from what Sirius had told him his parent's, and the Potter's family, home had looked like as he did so.

The largest of the rooms being the Master bedroom; of course. And at the moment it was the only one that had any real decorations in it. Considering it was the one Harry had decided to take for himself. As this was his home and why shouldn't the master bedroom be his after all.

As for the other twenty-three bedrooms Harry had decided not to decorate any of the other rooms that he had. Mainly because he had no idea of the taste of the children he was going to be bringing in and didn't want to make the feel uncomfortable in a room that didn't suit them or their taste. As Harry wanted the children that would be in his care to feel as comfortable as possible and that their room was just that theirs's.

Instead, Harry had simply placed a large bed in the center of the room, a full-size lamp and a large oak dresser on the wall; the bare basics in each of the rooms. Before places spells and several different runes, on all the other rooms in question. Ones that made it so that once the individual, or as Harry saw it child, decided on the room they were going to keep it took what they wanted in the room.

And before they opened the door in question it decorated it that way, they would want it once the door in question was open. Then to be sure that the person in question couldn't do this to multiple rooms along the way it locked the room they had chosen to them; locking them from changing all the other rooms as they did so.

Making Harry mentally note to tell any of the children that were going to be choosing a room to be very careful when it came to what they chose. As they wouldn't be changing rooms afterwards. At least not without some serious work on Harry's part that is.

Seeing as it had taken Harry hundreds of runes discreetly carved into the walls, numerous spells, along with several hours in each room. Not to mention a serious drain in his magic, as well as all the free time he had in several weeks, to make the rooms the way they currently where. But in the end, he had managed to get all the rooms done the way he wanted and ensured that they would stay that way as well; or at least until he had to change them again that is.

This had also included his room as well or at least partially as Harry wasn't exactly sure how he had wanted his room to be look in the first place. Not to mention he also knew if he didn't like it, he could simply change it around until it did suit his needed.

Because of this his room, which was the very last room at the very end of the second floor, now felt like something that was truly his. Even if said room was really separate from everyone else and having no doors except the main one in the hall to enter it. Unlike the other rooms which had both hallway entrances doors as well other doors linked to other rooms that could be locked from both sides of said doors if it was wanted.

As for how his room now looked after its more magical make over, well Harry's room had a large king-sized bed in it right in the center of the room, and a large window that held a balcony that was facing all the land that Harry owned. While the colors of his room being done in shades of green and brown, giving the room a rather soothing down to earth nature look; which was as far from any of the Hogwarts colors as you could get.

Much to Harry's gratefulness as he wanted nothing to do with anything that reminded him of his hellish stay at Hogwarts anyway; besides those bright colors usually left Harry with a headache after too long any way. With the only exception being the Ravenclaw and Slytherin colors but for reasons of their own those colors too made Harry feel vagally nauseous and wanting to get away from them; at least when certain shades where paired together that is.

When it came to his room, to further help with the more forest theme Harry's room had taken, Harry had several potted plants in his room. Ranging from several different types of flowers near the balcony; to two small trees on either side of his bed.

All and all Harry really adored the way his room both looked and smelled. Not to mention when it came to the plants that he had place in his room, they were plants that could be used to calm people down in both the mundane world as well as the magical world; like the lavender flowers he had near the entrance of his room.

Besides the twenty-four different rooms he had, with eight rooms on each floor, there were also twelve separate full-sized bathrooms in his house. Each one being large in size, and each on having, a toilet, a sink, a wooden cupboard with clean towels in it, a large full-sized tub and a shower in them. And each having four different bathrooms on each of the bedroom floors.

These Bathrooms where ones that Harry had taken special care to make like those that had been in the wizarding world. Meaning they ran of both magic and runes to power them; which combined with both Harry's magic and the wild magic that the world had meant that they would most likely always work as long as the runes on them remained in place. Which should be quite a long while considering how carefully they had been carved and the protection spells on said runes.

The entire fifth floor wasn't multiple different rooms like all the pervious floors had been; including any hallways there may have been. Instead, it was made up of just two large rooms. Ones that only had a single wall in between them to separate them. With just one single door on the wall linking the two rooms together. And that was all this floor was made off.

These two rooms, where the most obvious magical rooms in the house, and honestly had taken the longest to get done the way he wanted to; mostly because of the sheer size of the rooms in question. At the same time because of the sheer amount of magic that had to go into them, these rooms were the ones Harry himself did most of the work on instead of the construction workers.

Which while it did raise questions, Harry was able to word in such a way that not too many questions were asked; along with several discreet notice me not and muggle rebelling wards to keep the too curious ones out of there. But in then end those two rooms were highly protected and were made as a way to both help Harry, and as a way to keep his more paranoid ideas in check.

This was because Harry had actually placed what could be considered a full medical bay in one of the rooms. Which was a room that was currently so fully stocked that there were enough medically supplies to actually run a hospital by itself for at least a year.

Though notable Harry didn't have any of the more high-tech medical machinery that a hospital normal had in this room, as his magic wouldn't let those work in his house; especially not the overly sensitive kind of machinery.

But at the same time even if he didn't have the high-tech machinery, he did have everything else that would be needed to take of someone without said machinery. Which if he had to Harry could use his magic to replace said machinery in most situations; so it wasn't that big a loss.

Still Harry had all of this and supplies to help with comfort while they were being under his care, all stored away and neatly packed away in hidden spots of the medical room due to Harry's magic. This was one room Harry was more determined than ever to have as if he was going to have children in his care, he wanted a place he could care for them if they ever got injured or sick.

This room was obvious in magical nature because of the golden runes in the wall that keep the entire rooms spotlessly clean; removing all dirt and other messes before it could hit the ground. Not to mention the fact that with a single motion of Harry all the supplies would basically slide into he places he needed them to the very second he needed them to do so. Be it the beds, medicines he had, potions he made, or the medical supplies he may need.

All of them would be in the place he needed to the very moment he activated the wards he had around the room in question. Something he knew would prove to be immensely helpful if an emergency every came up later on; rather it be for his kids or possible someone else he willingly brought into his home.

While on the other hand when it came the other half of the fifth floor, and the only other room on said floor. What it was used for was mainly as an overly large magically expanded storage. Something that even with the sheer size of the room in question was still magical extended to the max to fit everything in. Which in itself was one of the more blatant and obvious signs Harry had used magic out of everything; as most of the other magically adapted things in his house could be easily explained away as something else.

Still this storage room was one that was quite similar to the one that he had in his trunk. In fact, half the supplies that had been in his trunk had been placed in this room; along with a whole bunch of other things Harry's training and paranoia made him feel that he would need; either soon or at a later date.

Not to mention quite a few things that simply caught his eye and made him curious enough to want to purchase it at a later date. Even if he knew he'd have to lock said room up so no one else but him could get into said room after he purchased said items.

This included things like, even more guns and bullets then what the goblins had already supplied him with. Which for some reason Harry couldn't help but be really attached too and had begun to buy them like no other.

All under different magically designed disguises so as to not attract to much attention to what he was doing. After all someone going out and buying so many different guns and bullets would most certainly raise red flags in any system; or at least he felt it would.

Which wasn't helped any further by the fact that on top of the guns he had bought Harry had also bought an even larger number of blades; ranging from all sizes. From Daggers to full blown two-armed swords.

All of which were certainly spelled to the max to make sure no one but Harry could ever even touch them let alone remove them from the room as Harry even if he was drawn to buying all these guns and daggers knew that they weren't something you wanted to have around children of any age.

Which was why on top of all the spells Harry had also made placed all the weapons in question in a sort of safe inside the room as if he had his way any kids, he did have would never even see all the weapons his self-conscious mind demanded he purchased. Hell, if he had it his way once Harry was able to push passed all the paranoia, he had Harry would most likely be getting rid of all the weapons in question.

Not that weapons where the only thing that Harry had in this room; or even the majority of the supplies he had in the room for that matter. As there were plenty of other supplies in this room as well. One such thing being the fact that there was the case upon case of bottle water; along with a good hundred jugs of water as well.

That along with several different types of nonperishable items Harry strong felt the need to stock up on. Which, when you consider the fact that most beings needed water to survive wasn't a hard thing to understand why Harry felt such a strong need to get them.

Even when you consider that most wizards could actually summon water from the very air around them if they ever needed to. Besides, it wasn't like the water would ever go to waste, not when Harry could think of at least a hundred different ways to use said water; both in the present and once he had everything up and running the way he wanted it to.

Along with the water Harry found himself purchase clothes of all sizes, for all types of weather, for both genders at that. First because he was going to run an orphanage, and all had decided to get all sizes and ages because he knew that some children would be older one who had never had a chance to have a family, and because he had seen some of the teens around here being rather tall despite the age they were. Some of which were already dressed in clothing that was designed for grown men; or even grown woman in the case of some of the teen females he had seen. So, with this in mind Harry wanted to be prepared if the children that would hopefully be in is care had everything, they could possibly need.

On top of the clothes Harry also decided to gather numerous blankets of all types as well as thicknesses; even a couple of baby blankets as well. As he was rather hopeful that he would have some younger children among those he was looking forward to taking care of. If he was actually able to do it in the first place. Something he still wasn't a hundred percent sure of but was going to try none the less.

As he was doing all of this preparation and making sure that he would have everything he would need to pretty much raise a small army if he had to, Harry knew that anyone else would consider him going way above and beyond what was needed. In what could be considered it a bit too extreme way.

But still Harry had got it all done the way he wanted. Knowing as he did so that he was also doing all of this as way to sooth his instincts from both his life before Hogwarts, what with the hording food and water whenever he could. As well as his instincts he had gained through the utter hell that he had been given for his life throughout Hogwarts as well. Which was most likely the weapons he wanted to keep at hand as well as all the medical supplies, be they magically inclined or not.

Yes, Harry knew he'd be called all kinds of paranoid, or a dooms day preparer to say the least. But it made Harry feel just that much better to have the fully stocked house that he did, on the land that he now completely owned.

Not to mention it made him feel that much more ready for whatever plans he made for said home in the future. Be it making a home for other orphans like he hoped he would. Or even making it a home for his own blood family in the far future; something he still wasn't sure was going to even happen yet. But still he had his home, and his land to do whatever he wanted with it now; a freedom Harry had never really had before. And a freedom he was hoping to make the best of.

Speaking of the land around the manor that was something Harry really loved, mainly because it was everything that he had in mind, ever since he had first thought of making his own home.

It was everything Harry had ever dreamed of having since he was a child and even more than that in some places; as most of the time his dreams as a child had been unrealistic or vague. While his land was now a lot more concrete, realistic and more importantly something that would make his pretty much self-sufficient all on its own.

Something that pleased a deeper part of Harry's instincts that he knew came from the Animagus form he hadn't been able to learn how to use quite yet; even if he had found out he did have one due to the little time he had managed to sneak with his godfather. Just what the form was he never had been able to find out, just knowing enough that whatever instincts said form had did affect him from time to time; most often in a rather positive manor. Making it so that at the moment he didn't care he didn't know exactly what his form was, as he had more important things to deal with. One of which being the land that made Harry feel so proud of to begin with.

As Harry had always loved nature and thought he always would; as it gave him a sense of freedom more than anything else. Even when during his years of Hogwarts being out in the forbidden forest, or out by the lake, for small breaks had given him a brief relief of the hell he had been put through; and was most likely the reason he hadn't completely snapped after everything.

Harry wasn't quite sure why this was. It was just he loved seeing nearly every type of nature that was out there. To put it bluntly that nature was something that Harry simply adored, had always really adored. Be it a forest, a farm, lakes, mountains, or even the sea; Harry adored nature.

Which was most likely why when he purchased his own land, and it was a really large amount of land at that, Harry tried to have as much nature fit in it as he possible could into it. At least as much as he could put in there, without it because too much. Or worse end up damaging the land where he had decided to live in the first place.

What this meant was that within the stone fencing that was around his land, Harry had a large forest taking up almost a good sixty-five acres of land by itself. With everything that a forest natural held in it, within said forest. Be it birds, rabbits, deer, to a family of foxes to even a small pack of wolves; which Harry had spelled to be unable to get within ten acres of the exit of the forest to even begin with. Making it so no matter what the wolves could make it near his home or the area around it.

Not to mention made it so that they were unable to attack him or any other humans that there may be in the future; and if they even attempted to otherwise would be booted right off his land.

Something Harry really didn't want to do, as like all the other animals in the forest his land was their home as well. But at the same time, was prepared to if he had to, as Harry knew if things continued to go the way he wanted this land would eventually have smaller children on it and he did want them to be safe.

On another fifty acres of land Harry had a farm that had all sorts of fruits, vegetables and grain on it. Fruits, vegetables and grains that had taken a good year to grow to their best potential and that was with help from both potions as well as several bursts of magic from Harry himself to further boost their growth. Not to mention helped promote future growth, and continuous growth afterwards.

Leaving Harry with an almost sense of pride because he was become self-sufficient due to everything he was doing. And that he wasn't relying on everyone else to get what he wanted done actually done. Well, he hadn't been once everything he had paid for had been completed and all that he had planned had been put in place.

Not only that but since Harry was planning on having others there with him, even if it may be children, he was planning on having them give him a hand on the farm with him. To help give them a sense of purpose as well as to ensure that they knew the work that went into to the things they ate.

Seeing, as while he wanted to give the orphans in his care a good home, and a place that would mean safety to them; unlike what he had growing up in entire life. He also didn't want them growing up to be anything like his cousin had been; or self-entitled like several wizards he knew for that matter.

He wanted them to know the value of hard work, so he would be showing it to them in a safe way; by leading by example. Or as some would see it by giving the chores while he worked along side them doing the more difficulty things on the farm.

Something he hoped would be a good thing, and something he felt would install a good sense of discipline in them, while at the same time a sense of pride about the work they would do. Not that Harry would make them work all the land he had, not in the least bit, just some smaller parts that could gradually build up as they got older; or if they wanted to do more.

Like gather the vegetables, watering the plants, or even helping to plant more of the plants they like the most. Or even going, on to another fifty acres of land he had set up, going through the row upon row of trees in there.

All of which bore fruit or nuts of some sort and all of which like the farm had taken Harry time, potions and a good dose of his own magic to get them as far along as they were. Well, that and the fact they had already been a couple of years old when he had first had them planted.

Though now they were all large, and heavy with different types of fruit; leaving a really wonderful smell perfuming the air around them. Not to mention attract some of the safer animals from the forest to feast upon them. A scene Harry loved to watch from the balcony that was just on the outside of his room; and a scene that Harry was sure he would always enjoy watching at that.

On another ten acres of land, and closer to his home than most of the other things were, was something that Harry got on almost a lark. After he had overheard one of the construction workers comments.

One that really stuck to Harry and caused him to use ten of the remaining acres to place a huge manmade lake that held tons of different fishes he had shipped in and was starting to become hopeful now that a flock of ducks that had decided to stay there as well.

And for the time being a lake that wasn't fenced off as he was debating doing that or using a ward to ensure no one could go into it without permission; similar to what Hogwarts had to prevent anyone from drowning in the lake they had.

On the remaining sixty-five acers of land that remained, Harry had decided to use it to house all the animal he had purchased for the farm. Mainly because one, he felt that it truly wouldn't have been an actual farm unless there were the animals on it, and two Harry knew just how valuable having farm animals could be.

Both for food be it meat or eggs, or even milk, but also the fact that the animals could be used to further help his farm in other ways. Be it moving things around, manure to help the plants grow further, or even keeping the grass and weeds from growing too large by eating them. Not to mention several other things Harry really couldn't think of off the top of his head; like being sort of like pets to him or the kids that could be in his care.

These animals included several chickens and a muted rooster, so that Harry could have eggs as well as a chicken dinner once the chickens were unable actually lay anymore eggs. While at the same time not be woken up at odd hours from the rooster's crowing.

Though he did make sure that the rooster couldn't always reach the chickens, as he honestly didn't want all of the chicken eggs to be fertilized at all times. Considering how often times he couldn't find all the eggs the chicken's laid all the time as they did hide their eggs several times. Meaning if they had been fertilized, he'd have a lot more baby chickens then he currently wanted to deal with.

These chickens lived in their own chicken coop that Harry had spelled to be stay at temperatures that would feel the most comfortable for the chickens. Not to mention where also spelled to keep the area they were in clean, as well as give them the food they needed at the schedule Harry had placed within in it.

Which were all spells and wards Harry would later be removing so it could be turned into a chore at a later date. But until then, and until he could freely spend more time on his farm those spells, and others like them, would stay up in full power. To ensure the safety, happiness and health of all on his farm; himself included.

Next would be the four Cows Harry had gotten. Which he knew were going to used for both milk, as well as meat once they got too old that is. Not to mention the fact that they would mainly be out in the fields at most times eating the grass and forming manure for the plants. Manure which would be treated with only magic or potions as there was no way Harry, or any children that would be in his care, would want to deal with it.

Though Harry did make sure that they did have their own magical shelter that they would easily get into if there was any bad weather in the area. Not to mention had the cows each magical tied to said shelter so that, unless they were untied, they could get too far away from said shelter; more for their protection than anything else.

As even with the protections he had around the forest Harry didn't want the cows to be able to freely go in there. Both because of the dangers to them in there and the fact that Harry honestly didn't want them to get lost stumbling around in there causing Harry to have to go look for them.

Nearby the shelter where Harry had for his cows, was another one for the six different goats he had gotten. Five female and one male, which again would be used for milk; as well as anything else they could prove helpful with. Like for instant garbage disposal that Harry didn't want or feel safe to use his magic against; like for things like cans and such.

This shelter was one that was split in half and was shared by the group of four sheep he had gotten three female one male. Both for the wool as well as the fact they could be used for meat. Even if that last part would have to wait for them to breed a little more before that happened.

Not only that but Harry wasn't quite sure if their wool would be of any use to him in the long run, seeing all the clothing he had grabbed beforehand. But none the less his own training wouldn't let him do anything else but be the most prepared as he could get; which having the sheep in question would help with.

After the sheep there was the pigs, two females and a male, which would be used for meat. Again, after they breed and perhaps after he got several more. Not to mention Harry had found that in some cases pigs did make good pets, and where good for waste removal when it came to leftover food as well as bones. Something Harry could see coming in handy, especially if he was going to start either hunting or butchering the animals he had on his land.

There weren't many animals left after that, just things like the two Cattle to help with pulling things along as well as to help breed the Cows. Which had been placed close to the cows, but still far enough away that there wouldn't be any little surprises any time soon.

And then after those two there were the very last of the animals Harry had, at least for the moment. Which where the four different horses Harry had gotten; in the case two males and two females.

Which were going to be used for both ridding purposes as well as the fact that Harry simply loved horses. Not to mention unlike the other animals he had, these horses could most certainly be used for pets for the orphans without fear of them getting to close an animal that would have to later be killed for their meat.

These horses had a large fenced in area which they could run around in, and like the other animals Harry had on his farm they too had a large shelter where they could rest in. Or be protected from storms. Like the other shelters these two had the necessary runes and spell on it to keep it in the best condition for the horse. Though unlike the others Harry had used a bit of expansion magic in the area the horse were in to make sure they had more room to move and run around in as felt they would need it more than the other animals in question.

All of that, and everything else he had put in place, made his home an incredibly beautiful place; one that to Harry looked and felt like a true paradise. But at the same time that wasn't all there was to his new home; not in the least bit.

Harry had, behind the construction workers back, did a little work himself on the large stone walls that surrounded his home; adding a little bit more protection to them then they would have originally had. Seeing as he didn't exactly feel as safe as he should behind the stone walls, he had gotten place up.

Even if doing this made Harry feel like that there really wasn't a limit to how paranoid he could be. But at the same time, what he was doing only felt right, and something Harry had learned was to listen to his feelings.

Even if what they screamed at him to do often seemed to be rather insane at the time, it always seemed to pay out in some way at the end. Not to mention stopped himself from gaining a headache from ignoring it.

Besides having extra protection around something, especially if it's something that was important to you, never hurt, and it wasn't like anyone was going to complain about it; considering he was basically out in the middle of nowhere anyway.

So, it was because of those feeling that had Harry crawling all over the stone fences, slowly carving in millions of tiny runes. Ones that would enable to stone fence to take in both the wild magic from the earth and the spare magic that Harry left off to make itself stronger.

Not to mention making it so that with the extra magic in the fences that stone could repair itself if any damage was done to it; even damage done by time. Keeping said fence in the optimum condition it could be in until the runes in question were all removed; which Harry didn't see himself doing anytime soon.

And Harry did this to the entire stone gate, the one that went around the whole two hundred and fifty acres that Harry owned. Something which had taken Harry literally several months to do so. Several long exhausting months at that; made even worse because of the fact Harry still had to go through school while he was doing this. Something that had ended up making even snapper and stand offish more than he ever was; but luckily was put off on the advance schedule and testing he had by everyone else.

But in the end, he felt it was worth it, and would repeat it again if given a second chance. Even if he might adjust how much he did in one day and make it, so it wasn't as exhausting for him as it had been the first time if he did have to redo it again.

Though, at the same time, Harry felt good about being able to do some things to his home by himself. At least when it came to actually using his hands instead of purely with his magic. As he did have to literally carve those runes in the stone by hand before powering them up.

One of the biggest things he wanted to do that was set up the even more protections for his home. Because even if things had been going so well for Harry lately, he could still recall just how bad things had been for Harry in the past, and at the same time he knew what kind of luck he had. So, he knew it was bound to get worse for him, as that was just the way his life had always been like before. And this time he wanted to be more prepared for when that did happen.

Because of that he honestly felt that that despite the walls he still wasn't protected enough. As he still had the feeling that the headmaster and his order would somehow find a way to get to this world to drag him back to be under their control again.

Even if he knew intelligently that the chance of that happening was so unlikely that it wasn't ever going to really happen. But even knowing that, the fear didn't lessen any and drove him to make sure that he was safe from that being able to happen.

Even if, as he did this, Harry truthful wasn't entirely sure if he would ever really feel like he was completely protected ever again. How could he, given everything that had happened to him, and the extraordinarily little protection he had while growing up; or how poorly said protection ended up being. But still he was determined to at the very least try his best to make it as safe as he could.

Harry knew he was paranoid; he was rather proud of the fact he was paranoid in fact. Because it was that paranoia that made it so Harry could survive as much as he had. That made it so he made it out as whole as he did when it came to his past. And he felt that it was that very paranoia that would keep him alive in the future as well.

Not to mention it was that same paranoia that would make it so that anybody, orphan or otherwise, that Harry took in, was going to be seriously protected; while at the same time hopefully happy as well. Just as Harry himself would hopefully be as well.

At the same time, even as he felt this, Harry also knew that he most likely wouldn't need all the wards he was going to be putting up. What when you consider the fact that that there were no other wizards here, or any of the creature's wizards usually warded against. Not to mention he knew that in the long term that questions would be asked because of the wards he had up. Wards which would keep others out or even unable to actually see his home,

And that by putting up these wards Harry was really only feeding his paranoia and most likely only making it worse in the long term, but he couldn't help it. Not when his mind kept going over the what ifs.

Something that even if he knew intelligently most likely wouldn't happen, it turned out that Harry simply couldn't sleep in the least bit while his home was so unprotected. Couldn't rest when he hadn't prepared for the worst-case scenario like had with everything else.

Seeing as without the wards, and other protections that Harry wanted to put up, the only thing that would be protecting his home would be the rune enforced twenty-foot-high stone fence that surrounded his home; which to Harry wasn't nearly enough.

Not by a long shot. Not when you thought of the fact that a twenty-foot-high fence could be climbed up, or even had a latter put up against to allow someone up them. After all there wasn't any protection against that; at least there hadn't been.

Besides Harry felt he really needed these more magical forms of protection a crossed his home as it wasn't like he could use normal electronic as a means of protection for his home; for several different reasons. One of those reason being his magic which, when he wasn't suppressing it like he did while he was at work, could cause the more high-tech electronics to go haywire.

Though because of the control Harry had it was safe to use around more basic electronics when not fully suppressed and when fully suppressed high tech electronics were also safe. Which was really a good thing considering the jobs he had decided to take.

But that was only when Harry was suppressing his magic that complex electronics were safe. So that was out, because there was no way Harry was going to keep his magic suppressed at all times; especially not in the place that was supposed to be his sanctuary.

Not that him suppressing his magic would do much in the long run anyway. Considering all the magic that was now freely flowing around his home, without any help from Harry; not any more at least. Hell, Harry was sure with all the free-flowing magic around his home now, it'd fry any electronics that came in it on its own anyway.

The second reason being that Harry couldn't bring himself to actually trust the electronic devises that were used for security and wouldn't put it past someone to put something in them so that the so-called protection to spy on him; or something similar to that.

Which if that did happen would expose the fact that Harry had magic to whoever was on the other end of the spying equipment. And considering the fact that his magic was something Harry wanted to keep from everyone, if only so he didn't end up on a scientist's experimentation table, this made being found out a seriously a no go.

After all was already hard enough keeping his magic from his fellow workers at the CDC and the hospital; he didn't want to have to also be on guard at his home as well. Not when his home was one of the few places Harry was able to let down his guard and relax in anyway.

The third, and the last main reason why Harry didn't want to use something like electronic protection, was the fact that electronic protection could be turned off or hacked into by others from the outside. Which Harry didn't, couldn't ever, feel safe with. Because in the end all it would take is one power outage and the protection would disappear.

But mostly in the end it just boiled down to the fact that Harry honestly felt safer using magic to protect both him and his things. Because he knew how magic worked, why it worked the way it did, and could set it up himself without having to depend on someone else to do so. Meaning in Harry mind that a magic form a protection was just what he needed.

Knowing this, and knowing that his instincts, as well as all the training that he had been forced to undergo, wouldn't let him rest until he had gotten all the protection he felt was needed up. Harry got quickly to work in making his home as protected as he could get it.

Starting off with the more basic wards that would do things like keep pest such as, mosquitos, rats, cockroaches, and other such things out of his home. This was one of the most basic wards that was in place on most homes, rather it be Manors or even magical enchanted tents. It was also one of the very first wards all students learned during their fifth year; at the latest.

It was also one of the first non-combative wards that Harry had been forced to learn. Most often used during his training trips where his so-called trainers were too lazy to put it up themselves.

Then, after placing that ward down and after making sure it was completely anchored in place, in such a way they would be impossible for anyone but him to remove later, Harry slowly started to get into the stronger and more difficult wards.

Wards such as a temperature control ward. Which was a ward that would keep the area inside it a nice even warm temperature; never getting too hot or too cold within it. With Harry being able to control the temperature inside the ward in any way he wanted.

As while it could be used to keep a nice even temperature, Harry could also make it warmer or colder than it was naturally; even if doing so did drain more of the magic he had stored within the ward in question.

Making it so that if he wanted it too Harry could make the area within the ward winter all year long or something similar to that. Though considering the sheer drain doing so would cause him Harry usually just had the wards keeping it at an even temperature that was what he felt as comfortable.

Another ward Harry placed on his home was a ward that would keep anyone who wasn't invited from entering in. To get passed through this ward the person, or persons, in question had to be personally invited in by Harry and then actually written into the ward if they wanted to continue coming in and out of said ward.

It was one of the wards that Harry had been the most determined to place up. As it would make it so that only inviting a person in once wouldn't ensure that they would always have an invite. Something Harry felt was rather important if he would eventually have children being living in his home.

Though by then Harry was hoping that his paranoia and need to keep himself protected would wear down enough that he wouldn't have as many ward or protections on his home; just to save himself the future headaches it would be sure to cause.

Next would be another one of the wards Harry had been the insistent on putting in place and it was a ward that was more of a highly powered charm then an actual ward. It was the charm that was on his parents' home, and the one that had been on his Godfather's house before he took it down.

This was the fidelius charm, which Harry knew would keep his house invisible to all others unless he, himself, decided to tell them where his house was. Seeing as Harry had set himself as the secret keeper, and honestly Harry didn't see himself telling anyone just where his own sanctuary was; not in the least bit. Even if he knew, at least intelligently, that in the future he was going to have to if he wanted to make his place the orphanage he had been thinking about.

Though perhaps he could work on the charm in question to make it more like a strong notice me not charm that let people remember where it was, but at the same time made it so it didn't seem important for them to get to; unless it came to give a child a new home? He'd have to look up and work on that later one.

Further into the future when he felt it would be safer children to be around him. As despite how much he wished otherwise Harry knew he was too quick to lash out or fear an attack from everyone to be around children.

At the same time, with the Charm in place Harry knew that the other ward seemed to be obsolete; but felt rather safe than sorry. Because like time after time in the wizarding world things had shown Harry that the fidelius charm wasn't indestructible and that it could be taken down; most of the time in the worst possible moments. So, the other wards where there as a more of a just in case situation when or if such an incident did occur.

After all, even if Harry was the secret keeper, and the house was hidden that didn't stop someone from attacking the area his house was supposed to be in; even if they couldn't see it. Because all the charm really did was make it so that others couldn't see or enter said home, not make it so if they attacked the general area, they felt the house should be in wasn't actually hit it. And considering the fire power that Harry knew the Muggles had, that could be a lot of damage done if he relied just solely on the charm in question.

After that Charm was fully in place Harry went back to the wards he wanted to put on his home. Going with an Egyptian protection ward next. This one was a ward that worked in two different ways, one it did as the name suggestion and acted that acted similar to a giant dome shaped shield around the entire place.

A shield that once in place wouldn't let anything that meant danger to those inside the ward inside. And two, like a lot of different Egyptian wards it would also attack those that were trying to get inside when they weren't invited in. In this case it would depend on the danger the person, or thing, involved would mean to who was in the ward.

In the case of being no danger, it would knock out who every was attempting to get past and transport them to a small holding cell that Harry had turned the basement into. Which is where Harry could question and then erase the memory of the person in question before releasing them.

But if the person, or thing meant, actual harm for the person inside the ward would attack them not letting them in but burning them, how badly depending on just how much danger they were to others. With the worst-case scenario, being a deadly threat to those in the ward, being burned until they were nothing but ashes.

When it came to this ward Harry didn't feel in the least bit bad about adding it to his land. Unlike how he would have originally felt about it before he had gone through the hell that had been daringly called his training.

Simply because of the fact that it only reacted in such a negative fashion if the person or things trying to force entrance into his home meant harm to those inside it. Which considering all the plans Harry had for his home, and the fact it could possibly become a home to multiple young children, made it so Harry felt a rather vindictive satisfaction on have the ward in question up.

Not to mention he also wanted to be prepared if somehow others did find out about what he could do or worse if someone form the world, he escaped from did manage to find him however unlikely that may be. Because Harry knew his luck and how bad it could get; just looking at his past showed Harry that much.

Which was why the Egyptian ward was placed outside the limits of his home, and outside the limits of the fidelius charm by a good several feet. Technically not legal seeing as he didn't own the land it was on, but a hell of a security Harry wasn't willing to lose even if it wasn't technically allowed.

And it wasn't like there was anyone living out there protesting him doing so anyway as there was only forest around him anyway. And even if they did find out about and to something like complain about it, Harry wouldn't be taking it down. Screw technicalities and what other people may have thought about it; it wasn't like there was any prove of what he had done any way seeing as this world didn't seem to have people capable of using magic in the first place.

After these wards Harry did a good twenty more of each one, overlapping each other, similar to the layers of an onion, making sure that they all acted with one another and were powered by a combination of Runes, his own magic and the wild magic of this earth. And making it so that if he did have to repower the ward in question it would only be once of year; as long as they weren't overly stressed then it'd be around four times a year at max.

By the time that Harry was done with all the wards, that he felt where needed in place, he actually had over a hundred different wards both over and around his home. All which were for either, protection, to keep the entire place hidden from searching eyes, or for the comfort of the people, animal and things, inside the wards.

And all of which when he did have to power them up left him completely exhausted for an entire week after he did so; due the sheer number of wards there were to do. Not to mention had actually put him nearly out of it an unable to use his magic in the first place for nearly an entire month when he had first gotten the wards up in the first place.

This was even with the help of the all the runes and the wild magic that was running through said wards. And would remain true each time he had to power back up the wards. Something Harry was hoping to work on in the future. But still even with this fact Harry felt that it was well worth it to have the level of protection that he did.

However, all of this had been completed almost a year ago and for the next almost seven months after that, things had gone extremely well for Harry. Something that had started to make Harry rather jumpy and wondering just when the other shoe was going to drop. As things had never gone that good for him for so long, not without at least one major thing coming and disrupting the happiness he was having at least.

That is when the other shoe did drop, as about three months ago things had taken a turn for the worst for the now twenty-one-year-old Harry. Just as he figured that it would of when he thought about the type of luck he had to have been cursed with.

Seeing as that is when he finally got the answers as to why his magic had begun to act up the way it was and why his instincts and gut feelings wouldn't let him rest until he had put up all the protection he had. Well, that and his own paranoia that is, and why he had felt the need to purchase so many different weird items in bulk as well.

As the world he had been sent to, the one that he had slowly but surely started to call his home, went straight to hell in head basket. As some sort of disease, that no one could really pin down or name, made the dead begin to raise hungry for human flesh; it was something straight out of a horror movie. A horror movie that now seemed to his new life. Joy.

So, when it came to down to it...coming here for a new start, yeah that worked so wonderfully for him now didn't it. And yet, still Harry couldn't quite say that he honestly regretted coming here; at least not yet he hadn't. That if he had the choice, he wouldn't have done the same thing even if he knew what was waiting for him on the other side.

He wasn't sure if he ever would, considering the fact his instincts, paranoia and own magic had done what it could to make him better prepared for everything that was happening. Making it so he wasn't hit nearly as bad as any of the others out there. Plus, he still had something he never had in his old world and would have lost even more of if he hadn't had left, his own freedom.

As at least here he wasn't some collared and controlled weapon in the sadistic hands of the Headmaster. Who, who knows what he'd have had Harry doing once he had complete control over him or what he would have forced Harry to undergo in his insane believes of the greater good. No in the end, despite how bad things currently were, he was fairly sure he still got the better in the end of the hand when he had gone through the veil.

Harry had actually been at the hospital, working his volunteer hours alone; like he usually did. Doing what he could to help a comatose patient named Rick Grimes, and that is when he had found out that everything had just turned-on end for him; as well as everyone else in the world.

Truthfully, He had already heard the rumors about what was going on, and had held them with a grain of salt, considering where he had worked. But at the same time, knowing and actually seeing how things went down where two totally different things. Something Harry had long since learned but still remained a bit surprised each time it happened.

However, this surprise didn't stop Harry from pushing his patient into an abandon room, before throwing up several spells to make the room unnoticeable, as well as couple to keep others from entering.

Doubling the powers in said wards when he saw that the walking dead were starting started to enter the other rooms. Doing so once more again when he saw the military started opening fire at all the dead; actually hitting a couple of the panicked very much still alive doctors as they did so.

Harry seeing this became tense and wished he had brought some of his weapons with him, even if he had to hide them with magic to get them past the security of this place. But knowing that he hadn't and that at the moment it was safest for him, not to mention for Rick who was depended on him because he was still in a coma, that they remained unnoticed by anyone, be it walker or Military, Harry didn't move them from the room they were currently in.

Because at the moment they were probably in the safest part of the hospital, considering the room that they were in was being protected from everything outside it. What with the wards up keeping anyone from knowing about it let along getting into it without Harry's say so.

Harry, as all the chaos that was going on outside went on, found himself ignoring it. As he felt himself settle back into a much colder and utterly numb mind set. One that he had gained through all the training he had undergone, and a mindset that help Harry through all the harshest decision he had to make. One that Harry had been in each and every time he had been sent on a mission by the Order; to prove his usefulness.

In this cold mindset Harry was able to ignore the screams and cries that were coming from outside the room, as he began to make a plan on just what he was going to do next. Because it was obvious to him that right now, he wouldn't be able to do much of anything here; despite how he may have wished otherwise.

But there was one thing Harry knew that he could do, and that was make a choice. A choice he was dreading to make as it was the choice on just what he was going to do next. Because as he saw it was that, at the time, he really only had two choices that he could pick from; a decision Harry knew he needed to make quickly.

Choice one was, did he simply put some more wards around Rick, to both protect him and hide him from the walking dead; as well as any else that could mean him harm. Before leaving and going back to work at the CDC where he could hopefully help the others find a cure for whatever was going on. Doing a lot of good for everyone else, instead of just the one?

Or did he take option two. Which was to take a permanent leave of absent from the CDC and stay here to make sure that Rick was okay. Help him recover, and when Rick, hopefully, woke up from the coma he was in, inform him of everything that had happened. While helping both him, and who ever may decide to join them, to the CDC.

Where, when he did finally get there, he would hopefully be welcomed so he could then help with a cure for whatever was happened out there? In this case could he really put the needs of one over the needs of the many? Even if he was a little bit closer to this one then he was to the many; even if it was only because he had cared for him while he was in a coma.

Harry as he thought of these two choices began to internal debate just which one he should choice before, after the gun fire from outside finally ended, he made up his mind. As he chose which plan of action he was going to take; however it may damn him later.
