Kagome sighed quietly to herself and roamed the hallways of the prestigious school she now attended. She was actually proud of herself for surviving an entire month at this hellhole. There'd been a few close encounters, but Mori and Honey had, shockingly enough, been helping her adjust little by little. Not that she wanted them to; she made extreme pains to inform them she didn't appreciate their interferences. Honey was nothing, if not stubborn, though, and Mori equally so. She supposed she could also give some credit to the one female classmate that wasn't afraid of her.

Yamazaki Kotone was an odd girl, but sweet in a way that reminded the miko of herself before she'd gone through the well.

'Everyone else around here is so shallow and predictable.' Turning a corner, she stopped short at the long hallway she'd somehow ended up in. Occasionally, when she didn't have Kotone to point her in the right direction, Kagome still got lost. Stopping at the door at the end, she glanced up at the sign and shrugged.

Music Room 3 (Unused)

Reaching out, she turned the handle and poked her head into the room.

A sign was on the other side, set up in a fancy stand.

We apologize for the inconvenience to new members. The Host Club will be partaking activities today outside in the Flower Viewing Garden.

Furrowing her brows, the shrine maiden shook her head and closed the door. No way. Not happening.

Propping her bag over her shoulder, Kagome shook her bangs out of her face and looked around her. She hadn't gotten much of an opportunity to explore the grounds of the elite school, and she had to admit, it was the one thing that impressed her.

"Good taste, whomever decided on the spread, but maybe a little too much pink..." A wind kicked up, throwing sakura blossoms everywhere around her in passing and the nature lover in her took in a deep breath, letting it out in a smile. Her feet automatically took her in the direction of the sweet smell and she ended up at a door. Over the wall, she could see the pink and white blooms on the trees and something instinctive made her reach out and open that door.

'I wonder if they'll be as pretty as the ones in Sengoku Jidai...' Pushing the door open, she was met with a conglomeration of male voices and girly squeals.

"Oh... gods." All around her were girls of various ages either talking, gawking, fawning, or fainting over a group of boys. Ironically, she recognized each boy, other than the small brunette in traditional clothing. Even if she didn't know most of them by name...

"I can't take it! I just can't watch anymore!"

"No! Don't turn away! You may never get another chance again!"

Kagome twitched and wondered if something in her brain had finally broken.

"Oh! Welcome! I must admit it is unusual for boys to come to us, but- Ah! Higurashi-sempai!" A very familiar voice floated over the breeze and a tall, very familiar blonde boy reached out and took her hands in a gesture she felt was far too intimate.

"It's you," Kagome deadpanned, pulling her hands away and quickly stuffing them into her pockets. "... Suoh, right?"

"Yes! Suoh Tamaki, at your service, my princess!" Tamaki stated gallantly, bowing extravagently at the unimpressed senior.

In response, she snarled something harsh in French that made him lose his color rapidly and let out a small scream as he scrambled away.

"Who taught you such awful things?!"

"You did, Suoh."

"Ah!"

"At least, the rudimentary bits. I looked up the rest online. I take it I got it right," the miko shrugged, uncaring at the horrified expression on the French boy's face. When he nodded mechanically, she smirked evilly. "Good. I have some new material for Sensei."

"You-You-"

"You taught her naughty French, boss?" a ginger-haired boy laughed, poking his head over the denying king's shoulder.

"How uncouth of you!" the other ginger continued, smiling the same cheshire smile his twin had as they slithered around Tamaki and came to a stop before the still unimpressed girl.

"I never taught her to say those dirty words!" Tamaki wailed.

"Hey aren't you-!"

"That girl from a few days ago?"

"Say what," Kagome asked blandly, staring the two boys down with deadened blue eyes. Inwardly, she snickered when the duo shivered.

"The one in the hall we passed by," they spoke in unison, something the miko decided she immediately hated. "You are wearing the boys' uniform."

"I really didn't teach her those naughty words!" the blonde near them argued, tears threatening to fall.

"Right. Just the other couple of phrases that got sent me to the office last week," Kagome informed, ready to brush off the twin boys as they started howling with laughter again and leave this strange place. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I actually got lost and was just-!"

"Kago-chan! Did you come to visit me and Takashi? That's great! Our spot is over here!" Small, incredibly strong hands yanked the shrine maiden away from the door and dragged her off.

-leaving..."

"Oh dear. She hasn't paid for her time with them, I'm afraid," Kyoya murmured, scratching down some notes in his book and snapping it closed. His glasses flashed in the afternoon sun. "That simply will not do."

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

"Seriously. I didn't come to see you. And certainly not Morinozuka either!" Kagome babbled, desperately trying to pry her way out of the tiny blonde's steel grip. It was like trying to remove Miroku's mind from the gutter. Impossible. "I just got mixed up on where the school's exit was and ended up here by accident!"

Honey stopped and stared up at her with watery chocolate eyes.

"But... I'm making tea... the old fashioned way..."

"I'm... not..." she was slipping, damn it! And he knew it too!

"And Takashi will be happy to see you!"

It seemed as though a steel rod had gone through the girl's back. Honey winced internally. Maybe that hadn't been the best thing to mention.

"I don't care what he thinks!" Kagome hissed, blue eyes narrowing sharply at the smaller senior. Seriously! What the hell was he thinking that would accomplish?!

'I don't want to be anywhere near that guy with his stupid eyes watching me, and his deep voice, and his good smelling cologne-! SHIT! NOOO!'

She began to try and free herself more insistently, until Honey finally huffed and tugged her arm down. She stumbled to her knees and ended up at eye level with the boy.

"Do you hate Takashi that much? He hasn't been mean to you or anything, right? Why don't you like him?" Serious brown met surprised blue as they stared eachother down.

"It's not..." she broke contact first and dropped her gaze to the ground. "It's not that he, or you for that matter, are mean to me. I just... I can't handle people being in my business. I always do something stupid to push them away, so I thought it would be easier to not bother making any friends here."

"Do you hate us?"

"... No. I don't." And that scared her a little.

"Aren't you lonely? Don't you want friends?"

"Not if they just leave me behind," the miko muttered bitterly, remembering her old middle school friends. Honey smiled and patted her cheek.

"Then, Takashi and I will stay until you tell us to go, okay? That way we won't leave you."

Kagome sucked in a breath, honestly surprised at how deep and thoughtful the boy was. A moment later, the serious atmosphere was broken and the Haninozuka heir was bounding along again, taking the captured girl with him.

She didn't put up a fight this time. But she did grumble the entire way. Loudly.

"Just because I don't mind you as much as I let on does not mean I'm coming back to this stupid club thingy."

"It's a Host Club."

"Whatever." She decided to sit through the tea making process and simply ignore the tall dark-haired senior next to her, rolling her eyes when the girls simpered before wordlessly excusing herself and sneaking away while everyone paid attention to Honey. She missed Mori's gaze as he followed her departure.

Kyoya never did catch up to them before Kagome managed to slip out the door.
