She was running around in the garden, being chased by her father while her mother was standing by the door, smiling while looking at the two people in the world that was her world. Renée was looking at her 3 year old daughter being chased around in the garden by her sheriff father, laughing every time he just so happened to miss him.

"Well how do you expect to catch those rare criminals of Forks, when you can't even catch a 3 year old" Renée teased her husband, laughing when he happened to miss the young girl when she ran under his legs, escaping her father for the 50'th time doing their game of tag. Charlie turned around and looked at his wife, trying his hardest to look hurt at her words and then he broke out in a smile thinking of a comeback.

"Well I caught her mother" he said and winked at her.

"Touche" she laughed. And then her face turned into other terror as her gaze wandered back towards the garden, realising as she continued to search the small patch of grass, that Bella was nowhere to be seen.

At first she thought that maybe she just hadn't noticed the small child scirm past her in the doors, and she spun around while frantically starting to search the entire house looking for the child, calling her name, panic starting to rise as she realised that Bella isn't inside eather. They had warn't her about the woods plenty of times, letting Bella know that she was never allowed to walk in there alone. She ran back out to the garden, hoping that Bella would have magically appeared again, but when she reached the door she could hear Charlie in the woods, screaming at the top of his lungs in panic and desperation: "Bella? Bella where are you? Bell…". A few moments later Charlie came back out of the wood, slump walk and tears streaming down his face, not looking up at Renée, just walking past her heading straight for the phone, dialing a number and hitting call. A short moment passed, waiting for whomever was in the other end of the line to pick up. Renée watched her husband, silently crying.

"Billy, it's Charlie. We need your help. Bella is missing" Charlie said, talking on the phone with Billy Black. Of course, the quileute people that the Black's belong to probably knew the entire forest better than anyone else, if anyone could find Bella out there, it would be them, Renée thought to herself. Returning her focus back to the conversation and her husband when she heard him start to speak again, from what she could tell, answering a question that Billy had asked, giving him more information.

"I don't know, we think she might have wandered into the woods. We were playing tag out in the garden, having fun. I… I only… It was just for a second… I just… Please Billy, help me find my daughter" Charlie cried into the phone, begging Billy, desperation and fear taking over, making him unable to speak any further. Renée noticed and motioned for the phone, taking over the conversation with Billy while pointing for her husband to go sit down on one of the kitchen chairs.

"Hello Billy, it's Renée, Charlie had to sit down and breathe" she said the last word looking firmly at her husband, locking eyes with him, and motioning for him to take a deep breath in… and out… and in… and out. She continued to help her husband breath while returning to the Billy conversation: "Please Billy if you or any of the quileute can help, we didn't realise she was missing before it was to late, only looking away for a second and then she was gone"

She had been standing in the garden, watching her parents act all silly, when something between the trees had suddenly caught her attention. She didn't realise how deep into the woods she had gotten at first, just trying to locate that something which had caught her interest in the first place, made her forget all about her parents warnings about the woods and to never walk in there alone. Now she was lost and the sun was starting to settle, it had already been early evening after dinner, when she had convinced her father for a game of tag out in the garden. She loved to play with her father, and thinking about him and her mother, she wanted to cry but didn't. She looked around, trying to see if maybe she could see something other than woods, but unsuccessful in so. She remembers her dad telling her that if she got lost she needed to stay where she was, making it easier for police and rescue to find her. She started looking around for somewhere comfy, getting tired now, and spotted a big tree, branches giving cover and offering a bit of shelter from the mild evening breeze. She made herself comfortable in a small space between two big roots of the tree and covered by the branches, almost like a little leaf den. Bella closed her eyes, comforted by the thought that within long someone would come and find her, and she would be safe, and right now in her little leaf den the woods were not that scary, and she fell asleep.
