She didn't know how long it had been since she last became aware of the room, though she could still feel that warm feeling of safety and her hand being held. Her head didn't feel as heavy or droussy this time and she thought about trying to open her eyes again, but didn't wanna leave this safe place. There was no one moving around or making any sounds in the room, she couldn't even hear the sound of anyone breathing besides herself; 'How odd' she thought and her curiosity grew slightly upon coming to this realisation. Bella squeezed that hand holding hers ever so slightly, repositioning herself to lay on her side and almost falling off the soft pleasant bedding underneath her, but being caught by someone who scooted her in a little further but allowed her to stay on her side. She felt her back lean against something soft and pillowy, it must be a couch that she was laying on; 'Wait why am I on a couch and not in my bed' Bella thought, starting to struggle slightly with unease at the realisation, and she felt someone starting to try and sooth her by brushing a hand softly through her hair and whispering: "Shh, it's okay little one. Don't be scared, you're safe here", and it worked cause the calm returned strong again and she stopped struggling, her body relaxed and calm. She opened her eyes slowly, curious of who might be speaking since she didn't know this voice.

Her brown eyes stared into his dark golden ones; It had been a while since he lasted hunted, and his hunt with Alice had been interrupted by the finding of the young girl, and he hadn't left her in all the time she had been here so he was starting to be thirsty, which was radiated in his eyes. He knew he had to control his thirst with this young child in the room, and staring into her eyes made it very easy, he had to protect from any harm. He felt Alice move beside him, was she a threat now that the girl was awake? The girl shifted uncomfortable on the couch, definitely feeling threatened, he had to protect her. He let go of her hand to shield her from whatever she was feeling threatened by, but when he let go the emotion in her changed, he stood ready to defend the child from any threat when he heard her giggling from behind him; He turned to see her giggling and clapping her hands, happily smiling, and he relaxed his body realising that she had only reacted to him feeling protective of her.

"Hello there little lady", he made a bow to her, pretending to take off an imaginary hat, and the girl started giggling even more.

"You talk funny" she giggled. Her eyes look around the unfamiliar room and the strangers in it; "Are you all angels?" she asked looking like she was about to cry, Jasper sensed sorrow and fear when she asked her next question; "Am I dead?". Her eyes started to tear up and Jasper didn't know what to do or say.

"Hey there sweetheart", Carlisle was kneeling beside the girl in an instant, Jasper sensing the girls sudden fear intensen was ready to defend her and started growling at Carlisle, his body tensing up again. Carlisle stopped what he was doing to look at Jasper, calculating his next moves, then raising his arms in surrender and backing away slowly, Jaspers eyes following his every step. "We have to be carefull, I think he is even more protective of her now that she is awake" Carlisle said to Esme and Alice, who had both moved to the back of the room when seeing Jasper's reaction to Carlisle. Alice was looking into the near future, trying to see what would happen. "I don't think he necessarily thinks of us as a threat, but I think he is so focused on the girl's emotions, that he doesn't know what to do or think of us" Carlise explained further. Jasper had relaxed his body again and had gone to sit on the floor next to the girl again, trying to comfort her. The girl had stopped crying, but Carlisle wasn't completely sudden how much came from Jasper's comforting her, and how much came from Jasper's emotional control of calming the girl, since he could see how the girl's eyes were fluttering, fighting to stay awake.

It was weird waking up and looking into those dark golden eyes, she had felt a little nervous at first, then calm, then afraid of something she wasn't quite sure of, then happy and safe watching the angle man protect her, then afraid and sad thinking of what this all meant, and now she was feeling safe, calm and protected again with the her angel next to her, holding her hand and comforting her; How come her eyes was feeling all heavy again, hadn't she just woken up? She had to fight the drowsiness and stay awake this time. She focused on the comforting words of the angel next to her

"It's okay. You're gonna be fine. You're safe with us now. Shh, don't feel sad little one" he whispered to her, she was now sitting in his lap while he was rocking with her back and forth which were soothing.

"Bella" she said tiredly and yawned, the fight against her eyes becoming harder and harder, but like he promised she felt safe here with the angel; "My name is Bella", she yawned again and fell asleep hearing his words:

"Sleep tight princess Bella, I'll always protect you".
