She resisted the urge to sneeze and rubbed her arms to retain some sense of warmth. Why she'd decided to join the Host Club on this little venture to the north of the island, she hadn't a clue. All she'd remembered were Mitsukuni's doe brown eyes staring up at her with such pleading that she'd unconsciously given in before she'd even known what she'd been agreeing to. She blamed Shippo entirely.
'What I don't get is why I didn't bring a jacket with me,' Kagome thought, sniffling miserably as she trudged along behind Haruhi and the twins. Tamaki and Kyoya were ahead of the trio, the blonde princely boy pouting over being denied time with the only girl in their little club. The miko suppressed the urge to roll her eyes and glanced over to her side.
Mitsukuni was dressed in a pair of undoubtedly expensive khaki cargo pants and a fluffy white coat that included a pair of rabbit ears on the hood. She still occasionally wondered if the boy belonged in elementary school. On her other side, and completely opposite to his cousin in nearly every way, was Morinozuka, dressed in dark designer jeans and a black leather jacket that was as soft as butter. She knew because she'd brushed her fingers across it unintentionally when sliding into the ridiculously expensive imported car.
While Kagome knew that Haruhi didn't really care, the former time traveler always felt distinctly lacking when she was somehow convinced to go on these little trips with the boys. They dressed so nicely even when they were being casual. Glancing down at her own ripped up jeans, worn and much loved converse, and long sleeved black shirt, she was, by far, the most casually dressed. Even Haruhi looked adorable in a slightly oversized purple knit sweater and skinny jeans tucked into a pair of brown boots.
'Her father must have forced her into those clothes.'
"Kago-chan? Are you cold?" Honey asked, tilting his head when she blinked and focused back onto the smaller blonde.
"Nope. I'm perfectly fi-ai-ai ACHOOO!" The sneeze she'd been holding in finally slipped out and she grimaced in annoyance. "... Damn it." Between one heartbeat and the next, a dark gray hoodie was shoved under her nose into her arms. Blinking rapidly, it took her a moment to process who's cologne was on the jacket before she raised accusing eyes to Mori and threw the soft material back at him as he slid his leather jacket back on. "I don't need it!" She was trying as hard as possible to not blush. Why did he have to smell so good?!
"B-But Kagome-senpai! You might get sick if you don't wear something!" Tamaki countered, a whine entering his voice as he fretted. Again Mori tried to hand her the hoodie, a firm light in his dark eyes, almost daring her to challenge him. She knew, without a doubt, that the tall boy would attempt to hold her down and force the damned thing on her, so, with a much put upon sigh, she snatched the hoodie from the senior and pulled it over her head.
"There! Happy now!" Kagome spat, her blue eyes spitting fire up at the eldest Morinozuka. He raised a brow at her and reached out, taking her hands to roll the cuffs up so they didn't fall over her fingers.
"Yeah. That's better." He set a hand on her head and rubbed her hair in an affectionate way before he turned away to follow the others. Tamaki stayed still for a moment, giving her an odd look at the dark flush spreading across her cheeks despite the twitch developing in the corner of her eye and the scowl on her face. Noticing the usually oblivious blonde, Kagome raised a fist, shook it in his direction, and stomped off to accost Haruhi from the clutches of the twins as they started pulling at her sweater.
"... Oooh. I think I see now," Tamaki murmured, a warm smile brightening his features as he glanced from the aggravated Kagome to the watchful Mori. Well, he could only wish his senior luck, because the miko was definitely going to fight the whole way.
