It was safe for Asuka to say that her life was the absolute best at the moment. She couldn't ask for more.

Despite his young age and relatively less experience than others, Tanjiro had decided to listen to her friends' pleas, and became their mentor in learning Total Concentration Breathing. They had introduced Tanjiro to Kiriya sensei, who commented on how Tanjiro would have made a fine shinobi if her was born in their timeline.

He had surprisingly taken the fact that Tanjiro was from another world quite well. None of the girls really questioned it, considering that Kiriya sensei had presumably seen a lot in his life, and maybe even alternate universes weren't new to him. He asked them just what kind of person they thought he was, and everyone shared a laugh.

Later on, Asuka introduced Tanjiro to Yumi, who actually had similar experiences with alternate worlds. Tanjiro was quite surprised at learning of this, just like Asuka herself earlier. Though Yumi's case was much more extreme, with her meeting inhabitants from 6 other worlds instead of one, and even falling in love with a boy from an alternate world. The two got along quite swimmingly, with Tanjiro wanting to learn more about the alternate worlds, while Yumi compared Tanjiro to a few people she met, two kind hearted teens that also use katanas, though one was able to summon a spirit and another harnessed an unnatural red energy. As unrealistic as it may have been, Yumi really wished that the friends that she had made from other worlds could meet Tanjiro too.

Asuka was beyond happy that everyone was getting along with Tanjiro, and she cherishes all the time they spend together, whether it's the dream world or their respective alternate worlds. Nothing could be better.

But the next mission would truly change their relationship. From acquaintances to allies to close friends, they would become something more.

Once again, Asuka materialized in Tanjiro's world. She had arrived right as Tanjiro and his friends were preparing for their next mission. The reactions to her sudden appearance were quite comedic, with Zenitsu screaming in shock and Inosuke challenging her to a fight while misnaming her again ("So you show up again! I've wanted to challenge you for a long time, Alata!" "I've told you many times before; my name is Asuka." "Yeah, that's what I said! I said Asuna!").

Their mission now was to enter Natagumo Mountain. Zenitsu stayed behind as Tanjiro, Asuka and Inosuke proceeded. She questioned why Zenitsu was staying back, since he was a Demon Slayer and all, but didn't question it. She had learned better than to pry into other people's business. While she didn't know the full details of what they were told, they were sent on a mission that was clearly out of their league.

The demons were using small spiders to control other members of the Demon Slayer Corps, whether they were dead or alive. She hated how underhanded and heartless the Demons always fought, but it only hardened her resolve.

Because they were technically fighting against humans, they were losing an uphill battle, and had to run. But they only ended up coming across another one, a monstrous, huge Spider Demon. It was a mighty foe that gave them a lot of trouble, using a powerful strike to launch Tanjiro far away.

"KENTAROOOOOO!" Inosuke called after his friend.

"His name is Tanjiro!" Asuka yelled, annoyed at Inosuke's idiocy. "Inosuke! I'll go get Tanjiro, keep fighting!"

"Not a problem, Akame!" Inosuke said, turning back to the giant spider Demon. "I'll kick this guy's ass and show you how strong I am before you guys get back!"

"My name is Asuka!" She said, exasperated as she ran towards where Tanjiro had been sent flying.

Asuka arrived to Tanjiro just in time to see another Demon, this one much more human like, though he still had the same spider features as the one they had seen earlier. She saw him kill another demon slayer, before turning his attention to Tanjiro and Asuka.

Rui was a foe that was much more powerful than any Demon they had ever fought so far. He was also far more powerful than any Yoma that Asuka had ever encountered. He had snapped their swords, but the two kept on fighting, despite the disadvantage they now had. Rui managed to score hit on Asuka, wounding her and wrapping her with threads that prevented her from moving at all. All she could do now was be helpless, held back by the strings that were stronger than steel. She could only watch as the man she loved fought Rui alone, until Nezuko took a hit for her older brother.

Rui offered them a choice. He said that he would let her and Tanjiro go, in exchange for Nezuko. While he did seem to be a Demon of his word, they obviously refused his deal. Watching Rui immobilize Nezuko quite painfully with the threads, Asuka struggled to break free.

"Stop." Rui coldly said, before holding his hand out towards her before closing his palm.

Asuka screamed in pain as she felt the threads tighten around her limbs. The strings were preventing blood from circulating through her body, causing her vision to become blurry. With every struggle, Rui tightened the strings, until they started digging into her flesh, causing blood to drip from the tears in her skin.

This was pushing Tanjiro to his absolute breaking point. The sight of his precious little sister and the girl that she loved, both in extreme pain and distress enraged him. Seeing his anger, Rui offered Tanjiro a single shot to cut his head. Not thinking correctly, Tanjiro failed to kill Rui, causing the Demon to start attacking Tanjiro with much more brutal tactics.

Remain calm. Tanjiro thought to himself. Don't let anger cloud your judgement.

Closing his eyes, Tanjiro focusing on breathing, all the while he was dodging Rui's attacks. Opening his eyes, he felt as if new strength had enhanced his body.

"Tenth Form... Constant Flux!"

Running forward at Rui, Tanjiro kept on slashing away at the threads, not letting a single one get too close. The majestic attack that was like rushing waves was powerful. It was working, until Rui decided to use his Demon Blood Art on Tanjiro, surrounding him in his Cutting Edge Cage.

Time seemed to accelerate, yet decelerate for both Tanjiro and Asuka, as they took in what was happening in that small moment.

From Tanjiro's point of view, he realized that he was about to lose... and die. So many thoughts ran through his head. His teacher, his friends, his family... but the strongest memory was of Asuka. Realizing that he was about to die, without telling her his true feelings, without telling her that he loved her, filled his heart with regret.

But Tanjiro remembered one thing. One thing that could change everything.

He remembered his late father, and the techniques he had passed down. Hinokami Kagura, also known as Dance of the Fire God. Remembering what he did, Tanjiro concentrated. Switching from Water Breathing to Hinokami Kagura would undoubtedly make him immobile afterwards due to the sudden harsh switch, but he didn't care. He had to bet it all on this. It was either him or Rui. He had to protect Nezuko and Asuka. Nothing else mattered.

From Asuka's perspective, happening at the same time as Tanjiro, she was about to see the man she loves die right in front of her. She was about to watch Tanjiro die, and there was nothing she could do about it. She felt as if she were about to cry, but no tears came out. Her body knew it wasn't the right time.

That moment of dread sparked a memory of hers. One where she was with Tanjiro in the dreamscape. Not training, just sitting down together. Relaxing and talking. She remembered Tanjiro's words that day. He told her to never give up, even in her darkest hour. Even when you're at your lowest, keep fighting, there's so much to look forward to in life. Then, what he said after...

Asuka... whatever happens... I'll always believe in you.

The second the memory was over, Asuka realized that she could not afford to quit. Tanjiro... Tanjiro believed in her. He made every day of hers wonderful. He was worth fighting for. He was worth living for. He lights up her day more than anyone else does, and she refused to let anyone take him away from her. She refused to be helpless. She was a Shinobi, like her grandfather before her, and she would protect Tanjiro.

Shouting at the top of her lungs, a green aura surrounded Asuka and slashed through all the threads that were binding her. Her hair was let out of its ponytail, falling around her shoulders. The green aura surrounded her broken blades, creating an almost prefect recreation of them. Her blades were now shaped in the green aura and became absolutely massive.

Asuka had reached her most powerful form, Ultimate Asuka.

Glaring at Rui, she charged at the Demon alongside Tanjiro, who's blade now danced like a roaring fire. The Demon kept dodging the two's attacks and attacking with his threads. While they both got cut several times from the sharp threads, they weren't deterred from their task. They kept on charging forward, slashing with vigor.

It seemed fate was on their side, as Nezuko used her own Demon Blood Art and set her blood aflame to burn away the rest or Rui's threads. Almost like she was encouraging them to keep on going.

Asuka lept behind Rui, while Tanjiro charged straight forward.

"Impossible!" Rui said, shocked. "How are you two capable of doing this?!"

"That's because the bond between the two of us..." Asuka started.

"...can never be severed by anyone!" Tanjiro finished.

Asuka's blade bit into the left side of Rui's neck, while Tanjiro's dug into the right. With shouts, they completed the slashes, severing Rui's head completely off of his body. It went flying high into the air, before landing on the ground with a thud.

Tanjiro let out a huge breath of relief, before falling backwards.

"Tanjiro!" Asuka said in concern, as the green aura around her slowly faded away.

While she herself was also exhausted, she rushed to his side, and grabbed his hand.

Neither of them said a word in that moment. All they did was smile at each other, enjoying the others presence. It was then that they both of their eyes widened. At the same time they both realized; they had forgotten about Inosuke who was presumably still fighting the giant spider Demon.

"We need to go help Inosu-"

Snap.

Asuka's sentence was cut short, as they turned around. Rui was standing there, still very much alive.

They both realized that he must have severed his own head, but kept it hanging on by the slightest thread, the single miniscule spot that their blades had missed. Just what in the world made it so that the tiniest of odds had been stacked against them? The demon approached them with his hands out and threads ready.

Asuka realized that Tanjiro was about to die, and tightened the grip on his hand.

"It's going to be alright."

She looked down at Tanjiro, who smiled at her.

"W-What? What do you mean it'll be alright?" She asked him.

"Your real body is safe back in your world." Tanjiro said. His vision was starting to fade as Asuka started to look blurry. "I you just leave and get to safety... that's good enough for me."

A few tears started to fall. This time, Asuka's body didn't hold her back from letting her emotions go free. "No..."

She threw her body over Tanjiro, her back to Rui.

"Eh? Asuka? What are you doing-?"

"I'm not going to leave you. I won't."

Tanjiro looked surprised, but admitted that he felt happy. Happy that the girl that he loved would be with him in his last moments. He closed his eyes, ready for Rui to end his life.

But death never came. He opened his eyes again, and saw a blur of speed. The threads Rui had thrown forward were all severed.

What? We're still alive...? Is someone there? Who is it? He vaguely wondered. Is it Zenitsu?

There was a small footstep, as he heard a voice talking to him.

"You did a good job holding out until I got here." Giyuu Tomioka said. "Leave the rest to me."

Asuka's eyes widened. "You... you're..."

"Giyuu Tomioka." He answered, not turning around and keeping his eye on Rui. "You're Asuka right? Master told me all about you. Keep Tanjiro safe."

Asuka shakily nodded, as she held up her broken blade to protect Tanjiro. She watched Giyuu, who had a confidant posture as he faced down the Demon. Tanjiro's vision started to return, as he saw the man that had set him on the path to become a Demon Slayer.

"You're like an endless stream..." Rui said in a low voice. "Of lowlifes getting in my way!"

Rui grit his teeth, glaring at Giyuu, who still had a stoic stare.

"Blood Demon Art..."

The red threads surrounded Rui, creating that almost barrier like form.

"Cutting Thread Rotation!"

Rui launched the attack of shredding threads at Giyuu, who didn't even flinch. He simply had his sword out at his side.

"Total Concentration. Water Breathing. Eleventh Form."

Eleven? Asuka thought. I thought there were only ten forms for Water Breathing?

"Dead Calm."

Asuka could feel the attack. Unlike the other Water Breathing Forms, which were reminiscent of the raging waters of the ocean, this one was more akin to the calm surface of a lake or pond.

"Eleventh Form?" Tanjiro said, equally confused.

"Who cares about your Eleventh Form?!" Rui yelled. "Die!"

The attack reached Giyuu, but instead of ripping him apart, the attack completely scattered. As for Tomioka himself? Not a single scratch was on his face, nor were there any tears in his clothing or chips in his sword. He was completely untouched.

What? What's going on? What just happened? Rui wondered, confused by what had just occured. The instant I got up in his face, the threads scattered. Not even one of them reached him? The toughest of all threads all got slashed?

"That's impossible!" He yelled, raising his hands to attack again, as Giyuu started walking towards him. "One more time-!"

Slish.

In a single powerful slash, Giyuu decapitated Rui, this time for real. His blade met no resistance as it slashed right through Rui's neck. The task over, he swung his blade to clean it of blood, as Rui's body collapsed and started to disintegrate.

Giyuu Tomioka... Asuka thought. He's on a completely different level than Tanjiro and I. Maybe... just maybe... he might be just as powerful as Kiriya sensei...

Tomioka sheathed his blade. Asuka helped Tanjiro reach Nezuko, as Rui's corpse crawled towards them. The two of them felt the sadness and regret radiating off of him, and decided.

Despite the actions he had made earlier, they placed their hands on the demon in his last moments, comforting him before he completely disintegrated, leaving nothing but the clothing on his back remaining.

Giyuu stepped on the remains, telling them that they shouldn't waste their time pitying demons. However, both of them rebutted with the fact that they won't hesitate to kill demons, but they wouldn't disrespect them if they were once human. They weren't complete monsters, but rather hopeless and tragic creatures.

Before he could respond, several butterflies surrounded them, and Giyuu's expression changed to that of alarm. He drew his sword and deflected a sword strike out of seemingly nowhere. Asuka realized that the strike was meant for Nezuko, as she widely looked around.

"Oh my..."

A woman with black and purple hair that was dressed in a similar garb to Giyuu landed nearby. She had a butterfly ornament fastened to the back of her hair, and she carried a slightly modified sword, which was aimed right at them. But perhaps what was most unnerving was her demeanor. Like Giyuu, she was stoic, but hers was more of an unsettling smile.

"Why would you get in my way, Tomioka?" She asked him, with her expression not changing.

Asuka only vaguly heard their words as she had stopped listening to their conversation. She was overlooking Tanjiro, before she saw that her hand had become translucent.

"What? No no no no! Not now!" She said in a panic, realizing that her time in this world was up, and at the worst possible time.

Both Giyuu and the woman took notice of this and were surprised. Though Giyuu's shock was a bit more subdued, more along the lines of being amazed at what he was seeing.

"So this is what Master meant..." Giyuu said in a low voice to himself.

"I can't got now!" She said to no one in particular. "I have to stay! I have to-!"

"It'll be alright."

She looked down at Tanjiro, who smiled at her again.

"I'll be fine. I promise."

"No! I don't want to leave you! What if you-?"

"Don't worry." He said. "I know I'll see you again."

Asuka bit her lip, as Giyuu spoke up.

"You have my word they'll be safe. That much I will guarantee."

That slightly reassured Asuka, but she was still worried. She briefly hugged Tanjiro, before she completely disappeared.

"Eh? What was that, Tomioka?" The woman asked, her expression changing to one of curiosity. "Who was that girl?"

Giyuu was silent, before he turned back to her, blade in hand and ready to protect Tanjiro and Nezuko. "It seems there's some higher power that we are unware of, Kocho."

The whole morning, Asuka was sick with worry. She kept on praying and hoping that Tanjiro was safe. That Nezuko was safe. And that Giyuu had kept his word to protect them. She hated how she had disappeared at the worst possible moment.

She was so anxious that she could hardly pay attention in school that day. She barely noticed anything that was happening around her until she bumped into her friends after school on the courtyard.

"Oh, hey everyone." She said. "What's up?"

"Well, there's something we need to talk to you about." Ikaruga said.

"What is it?"

Before any of her friends could speak up, they were joined by three more unexpected faces. Kiriya sensei, Yumi and...

"Grandfather?" Asuka said.

Master Hanzo nodded at his granddaughter.

"Why are you all here?" Asuka asked.

"Well... something odd happened." Yumi said.

"Odd?"

They all explained to her about a weird phenomenon that had happened to them last night. Soon after they fell asleep, they were all summoned to a white empty space. It was quite confusing and disorienting for them. It was a weird dream until they had all seen a projection of a scene.

It was at that moment that they realized that this was the dreamscape that Asuka had brought up before. They were all miraculously summoned there for some unknown reason, and saw visions of fights.

"There was a blonde haired boy with a yellow coat walking through a dark forest." Daidōji remembered. "I believe his name was Zenitsu, from what you and Tanjiro have said."

"Our first impression of him was... less than favorable at first." Yagyū said.

Asuka sweat dropped, knowing that they were presumably talking about Zenitsu's cowardly nature. Although he did get points from both Katsuragi and Hanzo, who each praised his views on women, much to the chagrin of everyone else.

They had all been impressed with his fight against a spider Demon. It came as a shock to them considering how Zenitsu acted earlier. But regardless, he had soundly defeated the spider Demon with his breathing style, Thunder Breathing, while unconscious. As it's name implied, Zenitsu moved lightning quick, just like... well, lightning. Ikaruga became heavily interested in the breathing style, since it focused a lot on iaijutsu, her own style. Asuka was quite surprised that Zenitsu had managed to do this incredible feat, though part of her felt like she should have expected it, since Zenitsu was one of the survivors of the Final Selection after all. Both Kiriya and Hanzo agreed that Zenitsu would make a great Shinobi, if only he could stop that attitude of his (regarding his cowardice, not his taste towards women, Hanzo clarified).

Then their vision had switched over to Tanjiro and Asuka's fight against Rui. Needless to say, they had grown very concerned when Rui had bound her and borderline tortured her. It hurt them all (especially Hanzo and Yumi) that they couldn't help her in that moment, reminding Asuka how she had also felt useless in that moment. They all watched Tanjiro constantly getting slashed and beat up by the Demon, but he continued to fight despite his wounds. He was empowered by the memory of his family, and they also saw his memory of his father performing the Hinokami Kagura. This inspired Tanjiro to use the technique in the battle, where he had harnessed it to it's fullest potential. They also saw how Asuka had broken free from the binds and achieved her ultimate form. They had all shouted words of encouragement and cheering as they watched them defeat the Demon (or thought they did).

Everyone watched as Asuka rushed to an exhausted Tanjiro's side and held his hand. It was at that moment that everyone thought deeply, after seeing Tanjiro in action. Her friends all saw why Asuka loved Tanjiro. Tanjiro wasn't the kind of person to give up, and would give it his all to win, for the people he swore to protect. Some of them commented that if Asuka wasn't chasing for Tanjiro, they wouldn't have minded asking him out.

Kiriya and Hanzo noted once more that, like Zenitsu earlier, Tanjiro would have made a great Shinobi if he was born in this world and era. Her grandfather said that when he finally meets Tanjiro, he'll give him his blessings to allow Asuka to be his wife.

Yumi had similar thoughts to the rest of Asuka's friends. While she had compared Tanjiro to others before, this time she compared him to Naoto himself. Tanjiro reminded her of some of Naoto's traits, especially with how selfless both of them were. She admitted that if she wasn't in love with Naoto, she wouldn't have minded getting together with Tanjiro like the other girls have also said before earlier. But she herself as alright with being in love with Naoto.

Though they were all brought out of their thoughts as they saw, to their horror, that Rui was still alive and ready to kill the two, who were no longer in good condition to fight. Thankfully, a savior came in the form of Giyuu. Watching Giyuu effortlessly defeat Rui with a single decapitating slash, Asuka's friends and Yumi shared Asuka's thoughts of Giyuu being in a league of his own. Ikaruga commented on wanting to learn Giyuu's sword style as well ("Ikaruga, are you trying to learn every sword style you see from the Demon Slayers?" Katsuragi asked. "Shut up." Was Ikaruga's only response at the accusation as everyone else had a good laugh at her expense). Kiriya and Hanzo thought he was simply skilled however, but he seemed like a powerful warrior that was not unlike several shinobi they had encountered in the past.

They watched as Tanjiro and Asuka comforted Rui in his last moments, and rebut Giyuu's opinion about the way Demons should be treated. As soon as the black and purple haired woman appeared, the vision began to fade, just like Asuka was as well. It was then they all realized that they were about to wake up as well, and they were taken away from the dreamscape and back to the waking world. They had all met up earlier and decided to tell Asuka about what had happened.

"You saw all that?" Asuka said, eyes wide. It was one thing for them to meet Tanjiro, but another thing entirely that they saw their fight against Rui. Everyone repeated their thoughts about Tanjiro again, and Hanzo comments that he approves of Tanjiro, saying that he would make a fine husband for her, much to Asuka's embarrassment. Yumi commented that Tanjiro would have gotten along wonderfully with ther friends she had made from the Phantom Field, and really hopes that one day Naoto and the others would be able to meet Tanjiro. Kiriya remarked that Tanjiro was a great teacher, despite his minimal experience. Teaching Asuka in ways that brought out her inner potential in ways outside of the path of the Shinobi. He had brought out the best in her in an area that even he couldn't.

Asuka was glad that everyone had seen the true Tanjiro, and liked and approved of him. Once again, she had hoped that whatever was going on with Tanjiro, he was okay.

She did think to herself how everyone would have reacted to seeing Inosuke. While she was unsure of the fact if he was alive or not, she was positive that he was fine, considering he had survived the Drum Demon house for three days. Something like that wouldn't kill him.

Though her thoughts went back to Tanjiro, as she prayed for his health and safety once more, for extra measure. She couldn't help but think about him.

The moment nightfall had arrived, Asuka eagerly went to bed. While she unfortunately stayed up for a bit due to how excited and a bit worried she was, eventually she found herself going to sleep.

When she woke up, she didn't appear by Tanjiro's side as usual. Instead, she was back in the dreamscape by herself. She wondered what was going on, until she saw a vision manifest.

She saw Tanjiro being interrogated by the Hashira (who she remembered were the top ranking Demon Slayers, Giyuu among them) about his actions, his sister, as well as his encounter with Muzan.

She watched as the scarred leader of the Demon Slayer Corp, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, read a letter from Urokodaki. It defended Nezuko, explaining about her situation and saying that she wouldn't harm any human. But at the very end, there was a promise.

It said that if Nezuko were to attack any human, he and Giyuu would commit seppuku. It bears repeating; if Nezuko were to attack any human, they would commit the honorable act of seppuku to repent for their actions.

Asuka was shocked at the declaration. But also amazed at how much faith Urokodaki and Giyuu had for Tanjiro and Nezuko. She was sure that Tanjiro was touched at seeing how much the two had trusted him.

But some Hashira weren't satisfied, especially that hard-headed Sanemi (though not as literal as Tanjiro, as he had proved to him earlier). He cut his own wrist to try and prove that Nezuko was nothing other than another bloodthirsty demon. Nezuko stared at the dripping blood, even drooling through her muzzle, but to everyone's surprise, she refused.

Seeing that Urokodaki's words were true, Kaguya Ubuyashiki agreed lift all charges from Tanjiro. And Shinobu, the black and purple haired woman from earlier, offered to let the recover at her house with his friends. Asuka was shocked at the states they were in, but thankful that they were safe. She also saw some new faces at the Butterfly Mansion, such as Kanao, another Demon Slayer, and some of the workers there, such as Aoi Kanzaki and three little girls, Sumi, Kiyo and Naho (who were all absolutely adorable).

It was finally then that Asuka could materialize in Tanjiro's world again. She appeared just as he was about to bring out Nezuko to her room. She did scare the crap out of him, considering she had appeared out of nowhere again where he least expected it (admittedly it didn't make sense to him either, but it was a lot more reasonable for her to show up outside rather than inside the Butterfly Mansion).

"Thank God..." She said, embracing him in a hug (that wasn't too tight. He was still recovering, after all). "Thank God you're okay. I was so worried about you..."

"Same here." Tanjiro said. "Though it looks like you didn't suffer any lasting wounds from that last fight, so that's good."

"You being okay is good enough for me." Asuka said back.

As they hugged, Tanjiro realized that this might be the only chance he would get to tell her, about his true feelings. He broke the hug, before clearing his throat. He straightened his posture before speaking.

"Asuka! I have something to tell you!" He said, in a tone that he had never used before.

Asuka was surprised that he was suddenly talking so seriously. Or, as serious as Tanjiro could act.

"Ever since I met you, I thought you were someone special to me!" He said. "When we reunited again, I was completely overjoyed to see you!"

Asuka clasped her hands onto her chest, having a realization where Tanjiro was going with this. Was it really happening? Was he about to...?

"When we trained together, I felt that it brought us closer, and changed my feelings towards you! I... I liked you after we had completed your training, but I held off on confessing, because the mission comes first. I shouldn't let anything stop me from saving Nezuko. But! When Rui was about to kill me... my last thoughts were of you. I thought that in that moment, I would never get the chance to tell you. But since I survived, that has changed."

He took one of her hands into his own, causing Asuka's heart to start beating like crazy.

"Asuka! I love you!" He declared, before bowing his head. "And while I will be fine with whatever answer you will give me, I wish you can open up your heart to me!"

Tears started to flow from Asuka's eyes, as she covered her mouth with her free hand. Looking up, Tanjiro wondered if maybe he had gone too far, worried that he had permanently damaged the relationship between the two of them. Though all his concerns had completely melted away when Asuka hugged him back.

"Of course I would open up my heart to you, Tanjiro!" She said. "I love you too!"

"Eh? Really?!"

"Yes, really!" She said, hugging him tightly.

Tanjiro happily returned the hug, glad that she felt the same way as he did. Breaking the hug once more, they looked into each others eyes. Before they realized it, their faces drew closer, before their lips met. They kissed as the sun set in the horizon, creating beautiful colors that reflected their feelings towards one another.

Breaking the kiss, they smiled at each other, blushes luminescent on their cheeks. They brought their foreheads together in a gesture of affection and love. For a while, they just stayed like that, enjoying one another's presence. It was finally hitting the both of them that they had found the person that they loved, the person that they would want to stay with now and forever more.

"This is going to be an odd relationship, without a doubt." Asuka said, breaking the silence.

"Don't worry about it. As long as we're together, I've got a feeling this will work out!" He said, pulling away from the forehead touch with a smile. "We should tell the others about this!"

"H-Hold on, I'm fine with telling Nezuko, but I don't know about Zenitsu and Inosuke." She said. While she didn't mind the idea of telling Nezuko about how she was now in a relationship with her older brother, she knew for a fact that Zenitsu and Inosuke's reactions would be much more extreme. Especially Zenitsu. That and she was unsure of how the people of the Butterfly Mansion would react to a sudden guest from out of nowhere.

"I'm sure it'll be fine! Let's go!"

And thus, the two Slayers of Kindness had been brought together as one. Their relationship has only just started, but it was surely one that would blossom and last forever.
