A Drunk Half-Blood - Severus Snape
"All those Muggle-Loving fools…" Alexius said, a mocking grin on his face. He turned to me, almost expectant. "Nothing to say Severus?"
Lucius was about to speak but I beat him to the punch. "Oh, shut the fuck up, Goyle."
The table went silent, Samantha Selwyn hid her mouth behind her hand, eyes glinting with gleeful malice towards Narcissa. "Such crude language-"
"Said the whore."
Selwyn's face went red with anger, she tried to speak again, I cut her off again. "Oh please deny it, we all know about the fun you had with Evan Rosier and I'm sure if Sirius Black were here he could regale us with stories of his many conquests over you in the bedroom as would several others, Half-Bloods and Mud-Bloods included."
Selwyn froze, completely stuck making a fish out of water face. "I'd close that mouth of yours, Mrs. Selwyn, people might mistake you for a two-bit Knockturn Alley whore, oh wait, you are."
George Selwyn's face was filled with blustering rage. "Listen here you Half-Blood swine!"
"Or what?"
That did it and the Selwyn patriarch pulled his wand, mine was already out, sitting on the edge of the table with an ominous emerald glow. "I don't think you want to do that Georgie. You might be a fat fuck, but you still have a few years left in you, unless you want to cut them short, right here, right now."
The air was thick with tension, everyone frozen, stuck between inaction and going straight for their wands. No one wanted to make the next move because if they did that could mean a Killing Curse flying right for their pompous, made-up faces. Weak… every last one of them, weak.
I intensified the ominous glow of my wand and George Selwyn's rage was replaced with fear, I could see it in his eyes, I could see it in the sweat dripping down his brow, and I could see it in the shallow breaths he was taking. I couldn't help grinning at him. If I wanted him dead, he would be, and he knew it.
Lucius broke the tension, a serious note in his voice. "Lower your wand, Severus."
"I will when he lowers his first."
Lucius shot a glare at Selwyn who slowly lowered his wand, putting it back in its sheath by his waist. I let the Magic I had gathered in my wand dissipate, the sickly-green glow of the Killing Curse fading from the room.
"That's what I thought you centaur-fucking worm."
