Before this all begins, please let me establish that this story will be full of as many references to memes and social media as I can possibly put in. As well as a lot of time skips, to be fair.
Secondly, this story will start way before the events on the actual story. Roughly at the same time as the Vigilantes manga and beyond. This story will combine the elements of both stories of the game "The Forest", and My Hero Academia of course.
I'm sorry if that sounded offputting, but I wanted to lay the groundwork for the story before I considered touching the clay. I've had this story in my head for a while and the general gist is that it follows a quirkless American, who due to a certain misshap with a few quirks, was ripped into the world in a freak accident.
NOTES
Bold - Yelling
Italics - Thoughts
Underline - Muttering
With that out of the way, let us begin.
Chapter 1 - The First Week
"Uh, is this uh, this thing working? Hmm. It's making a humming noise. Oh well, better to talk out loud than to bottle up stuff for later." I muttered out as I walked down a small beach, being careful to watch the line of trees to my right.
"My name is Casey, but whoever finds this can call me Chip. I'm aged 14, and I recently found myself waking up in a small forest with what looked like an explosion around me. Boy howdy would I have loved to have seen that. I love blowing stuff up." I rambled on.
"What was I talking about again? Oh, right! So I have been stuck here for roughly, I have no clocks available and my watch is broken so forgive me if my details are wrong, around seven days. I spend most of my time just wandering around and trying to hunt stuff. I know how to hunt, but I also can't make a sharp object to save my life. This message will be plugged inside of a small pouch on a raft I found and will be shoved out to see. To whoever finds this, please send someone. I'm lonely here. The only people I've met here giggle and run when I wave at them. Alright. Goodbye, and if you don't find me when you arrive, well, I probably starved to death to be honest. That's all I have to say. Have fun, friend." I raggled on before stopping in my tracks. There was the boat again. I don't know why, I always had Deja Vu when I saw it. Weird.
Looking down, I noticed my shoes were looking ragged from all the running and walking I'd done in my constant searching around the forests line. It made me sad, I loved my shoes. Black and blue mixed together like a bruise. Fitting they were being ruined for their purpose though. It was quite wonderful getting to explore actually, although I thought I saw a hut one time. It was mildly terrifying. Oh well. I'd go hunting for answers at a later date.
After dipping my legs in the water to reach the boat, I noticed the giggling behind me. I turned around to see one of the people only a few small feet away. It looked human enough. Kinda like a crazy dude at an asylum. His skin was almost tinted blue, maybe a deficiency of some kind. He was wearing a loin cloth with a skull attached to the side. Might just be for intimidation factor or status on a remote island. Shouldn't pay much attention I guess.
"Oh, you startled me. May I help you sir?" I called out with a smile. It was nice to have human interaction. That was shortlived as he raised the skull above his head and went to swing it at me with a lunge. Sidestepping without thinking, I watched him slowly drown while my eyes started to overgrow as a sign of fear. I wanted to help but he had tried to kill me.
"What to do dumbass, what to do?" I scolded myself in my head.
After a short while I had attempted to help him out of the water but my only reward had been to get socked right in the stomach. After a while, he quit moving. As I came to find out, that would not be the last thing the island would do to try and break me.
Sorry if my pacing is off, it's something I've never been good at. Although I will say that I intend to have fun with this lil thing. Reviews are appreciated, and I actually intend to use this to improve my vocabulary so if you'd like to recommend phrases or words to improve my grammar, like asking me to say a specific word, I'll try to challenge myself. That's all for this Chapter as of now. Hopefully it got your interest.
Have a wonderful evening, night, morning, or afternoon, and I hope life sees you do well. - GarbageDude2
