A small happiny giggled as it jumped into Stlix's arms, shattering the tense atmosphere. Stlix lifted Happiny as he stood back up.
"Ranger I believe that I am going to call my cousin. He will be contact with this fellow's commander." He nodded. "Stupidity is a trait that is often punishable in the league. Stupidity and contact with powerful Pokémon is a dangerous combination"
The cavern grew tenser again, several people had their hands on their pokeballs as Buddy moved his massive jaw close to the man's face and yawned. The man looked at the gaping maw, whimpered and went unconscious. To be fair Buddy, to most people who didn't know him, was terrifying. His massive size was a big part of the fear but even without that Buddy didn't resemble a normal steelix.
The steel-coloured armoured hide found coating normal steelix had slowly been lost even before Stlix met the rest of his family. It was due to Stlix's ability to find all manner of strange items beneath and upon the earth, that Buddy had eaten a great range of metals. Tungsten, titanium, diamond, ruby, gold, chromium and various other metals, crystals and stones had over time given the steelix a varied diet that had made its armour resistant to a great many things. Stlix had once found a large deposit of nacre that had been fed to Buddy. Once Stlix had met the Stones with their own great resources, the diet had been slightly refined to pick the most useful materials.
It gave the coat a slate grey colour that slightly shimmered with a faint iridescence. Buddy's shape hadn't changed much from the usual steelix apart from the slightly protruding blade like growths along his jaw line and above his eyes.
Floaty didn't differ as much from a normal metagross as much as Buddy did from a normal steelix but he had benefited from the massive knowledge the Stone family had about the beldum line of Pokémon. Therefore, he had also improved armour over a normal wild metagross and was stronger than normal as well.
The pair of Stlix's first Pokémon were an intimidating sight without them being angry at a specific person together. Stlix was not actually surprised that the man had fainted, but he held no sympathy for a person like that, he would probably die immediately if he had tried it with a wild Pokémon.
"Floaty, if you could give the man back to the league, we will get on." Stlix said with dramatic boredom playing across his face. The metagross unceremoniously dropped the rude man onto the ground, the comatose man's head colliding with a slight thunk against the stone.
The metagross then floated behind Stlix and Buddy slithered over to the hole he made entering the cavern before disappearing into the earth. Stlix started walking out of the cavern in a direction he felt a slight pull to, Happiny snuggled into his arms, Beda and Tyrunt within the balls upon his belt, Floaty behind him and Buddy moving around the tunnel system.
None of the other league operatives and rangers moved to stop him and thus he left without more complications. Stlix held Happiny with one hand whilst he pulled out his own Pokénav and messaging Steven, noting him about the event in Mount Moon involved him and that he clashed with a league operative.
The message sent and Stlix disappeared into the tunnels that threaded Mount Moon, momentarily after leaving the cavern he recalled Floaty and moved away.
It was several tunnels later that Stlix came across another cavern where he recalled Buddy and sat down to properly meet his newest captures. He first brought out Beda and the Tyrunt. He was greeted by both of them happily, Beda nuzzling into his side and Tyrunt placing her great head upon his knee as she laid down.
"Do either of you want a name?" He asked Tyrunt and Happiny, Tyrunt gave a small snort and shake but Happiny gave a considering look at him before nodding slightly.
"Carice, Calia, Damara?" He rattled of three names that were all rejected quickly. He rattled of several more that were also quickly rejected. He moved onto several words like happy until he said. "Merry?" At that Happiny considered before nodding with a small giggle. Stlix smiled too before he moved onto the next point.
"I have accidently captured another Pokémon, a geodude, who wanted to be captured. I think it was a Pokémon that got hurt when the Rockets were here?" He looked at them all before releasing the newest capture.
It was, as he observed before, almost tiny in comparison to its common fellows and whilst not a shiny had a variant colour to its common fellows. Its rock like exterior, instead it was a dark shad of white. It was strange for a Pokémon and Stlix didn't understand how the Rocksts could have overlooked it.
The small geodude looked around as it moved next to Stlix, opposite too Beda and next to Tyrunt it leant against him. As Stlix gave it a closer look he saw from the slightly rougher surface that this geodude was male.
Stlix also said to him that as a member of his team did, he want a separate name. Geodude did not and was unwilling to say why he wanted to be captured by Stlix. He let the matter die, Geodude did not feel malicious to his senses and his perception of steel, rock and ground type Pokémon was considerable.
So, with a new teammate settled Stlix set off again in search for the Moon stone, the pull at his senses growing stronger as he moved through the tunnels.
He started spotting Pokémon of the cleffa line as he went closer, peaking around rocks and corners, they were guarded by protective nidorans and their evolutions. The two Pokémon species left Stlix and his teammates alone, cleffa line fearful and nidoran line respectful.
Stlix currently released Pokémon that stood by him watched the other Pokémon that were arranged in the tunnels. Merry sat upon Tyrunt's body and Beda marched by his left, opposite to the other two, and Geodude's arms wrapped around his shoulder as he marched into the next open cavern.
The cavern he walked into was massive, full of many Pokémon of different evolutionary levels, which featured a massive rock in the middle. The cavern opened to the sky above and Stlix could see the light fading as it shifted to night. The rock drew his attention the most, it pulsed a strange energy that almost pulled him forward.
There were three Pokémon that stood out, there was a massive Nidoking and Nidoqueen that were exceptional specimens of their species. The purple hide of the Nidoking was so dark it was almost black, and it was mimicked by the blue hide of the Nidoqueen. The horns dominated their faces and beaded with points of poison.
The other Pokémon was a Clefable, its skin wrinkled with age yet almost shimmering with natural power. It and the other two nodded at him as he approached the Moon stone. He walked beside the massively powerful monument and laid his hands upon it.
He screamed silently with pain as his mind expanded, the earth rumbling around him as pain encompassed him.
