Setting up in the shade of a cliff upon the beach Stlix let out the entirety of his team with him, there was a small pool of water nearby for Corsola and Merry, Geodude, Beda, Tyrunt and Buddy. The steelix coiled up and looked upon the rest of the team that looked around the area.
Corsola was released in the pool next to Stlix and recognizing him, she pushed up against him whilst carefully moving the spines upon her shell. He stroked along her spines, noting how even now they grew further upwards. Without the presence of their natural enemies, mareanie, they grew continuously.
The rest of the team each greeted him but quickly grew serious when he stated the start of training, Geodude looked especially eager. Beda took up practicing rock throw, targeting a boulder a few meters away. Merry was responsible for using refresh and sensing how the move worked to increase its effectiveness.
Tyrunt and Geodude had to be scanned and have a training plan worked out for them. So Stlix quickly pulled out the pokedex Professor Oak gave him and pushed the relevant button.
Geodude
The Rock Pokémon
Geodude is a Pokémon that resembles a small boulder with two heavily muscled arms with five fingers. They are found within fields and mountains, mistaking them for boulders people step and trip upon them.
People who step upon them cause great rage within the Pokémon which then proceeds to use its tough body to attack them. They contest others of their kind by bashing their bodies against one another to find the toughest one.
This Geodude has the ability Rock head: A quirk of a Pokémon's biology that prevents recoil damage from certain moves.
This Geodude knows the moves:
Tackle, Defense Curl, Rollout, Rock throw, Smack down
Note: This Geodude has a diverse genetic base, please talk more with your sponsor.
Geodude knew far more moves than most Pokémon of his evolutionary stage would, it was exceptionally impressive and only deepened Stlix desire to see the results of an examination. The note was not unsurprising, Geodude was very clearly different with how he looked and he was already getting an examination. He resolved to watch closely in all training sessions following.
Tyrunt
The Royal Heir Pokémon
This Pokémon is revived from a fossil, it tends to throw a tantrum and destroy the ground around it upon encountering something it does not like. Its own jaws despite not being fully evolved are strong enough to tear apart an-inch-thick steel without being empowered by a move.
Despite being revived its current appearance is seen to be different from when it lived in ancient history. More complete fossils show smaller jaws and less robust bodies. Due to being a Pokémon that lived in ancient times it possesses a far more violent disposition better suited for survival. This individual is female, female Tyrantrum were known to feed live humans to their young. They are far crueler than their male counterparts.
Handle with care.
This Tyrunt has the ability Strong Jaws: A quirk of a Pokémon's biology that enhances muscle strength around the jaws.
This Tyrunt knows the moves:
Tackle, Roar, Bite, Stomp.
Tyrunt was also impressive, her moves should be far closer to what a naturally born tyrunt from the ancient times would learn. The moves revolved around maximizing her bodies own potential and abilities. Stlix than proceeded to scan Corsola.
Corsola
The Coral Pokémon
This Pokémon has a constant growth cycle until it dies. It constantly grows and sheds a new shell for the ever-increasing size of its body. Older Corsola have been used as small islands by ancient humans in the past.
This Pokémon has not changed much over the centuries but has been seen with a population decrease due to the relatively recent birth of the Mareanie species. Mareanie are seen as an offshoot of the Tentacool and Staryu lines that changed due to abundance of Corsola in their new environment.
This Corsola has the ability Natural Cure: A quirk of a Pokémon's biology that resists and heals status conditions quickly.
Note: Time in a pokeball improves Natural Cure's ability
This Corsola knows the moves:
Tackle, Harden, Water gun, Life dew, Ice beam.
Corsola's scan confused Stlix greatly, whilst Life dew could explain how it lived in the surrounding waters so long Corsola did not naturally learn Ice beam. It was due to their long-time presence in warm waters that they had a hard time understanding the cold energies involved.
The thought struck Stlix for a moment, if Corsola had spent a large amount of time in Kanto's waters than it could stand to reason that she could learn Ice beam, even if she had trouble using it. It was immediately apparent then to get Corsola to work on Ice beam, it would massively improve her chances against Pokémon of the grass type of which she was weak too.
Knowing about his newer Pokémon Stlix started immediately to come up with training plans for them. Tyrunt would build up her jaw strength and maximize her species potential. To do this he asked Buddy to bring up progressively tougher rocks before asking Tyrunt to break them with her jaws without a move assisting.
For Geodude he planned to build up his body's toughness, this training would rely massively upon Buddy. First Buddy would have to warm Geodude's body with a weakened fire-type move before gently hitting the rock-type. This process of heating and damage should focus Geodude's growth on toughness and durability. Merry would have to keep a close eye upon them both and use Refresh with her own judgement.
For Corsola Stlix planned on working with her personally to develop Ice beam. He also planned on trying to actively strengthen her by pushing more energy along their bond from him, his instincts regarding his weird energy abilities told him it should help her grow.
It was several hours later that Stlix called a halt to training. Beda had worked upon her own ability to take hits and had battled with the local water Pokémon. The others had followed the training plans Stlix set out beforehand. Corsola had learned Ice beam and had somewhat grown during the session, small but noticeable. Geodude looked tired and weary but immensely satisfied, the little boulder currently doing pullups upon the nearby cliff face.
Tyrunt was a far larger surprise, Buddy eventually brought up metal infused rocks for her to damage because of how easily she tore through the thick boulders. She was laid down nearby Stlix asleep with how tired out she was, whilst her jaws were very powerful stamina was an issue.
Merry was asleep atop the small dinosaur Pokémon, the repeated uses of Refresh upon Geodude having taken a large amount of energy from her. As she was still a young Pokémon any energy intensive workouts would tire her quickly.
Stlix decided to camp there for the night with his Pokémon, despite their being a Pokémon Centre only a mile or two away he decided he would prefer to have his team surrounding him. The next morning, he woke for training again only to meet a surprise later on in the day.
