Hello! It's Farhana and I am still alive don't worry! Sorry I have been AWOL for a while. Uni got busy (when you do English Lit in university understandably they kill you with essays cause that's all I've been writing for months) and when not torn with Uni, I try to spent my free time working on my novel (I've gotten 27 chapters but still not a full draft yet unfortunately). But yes now I managed to find time to update this one. You'll notice that I have changed up the rating because of the new few future chapters. Anyways, new chapter, I hope you enjoy this!

Chapter 9

Her mind was groggy, lost in a mist. All she could feel was pain. Groaning out-loud, her eyes slowly fluttered open and her crystal blue orbs met empty yet unfamiliar yet a dark place. She couldn't see any sign of any light of a kind. This lack of light shot fear through her heart, paralysing her emotionally.

'Where am I? How did I get here?'

She was confused. Wrapping her arms around her room and shivering slightly, she sat up and looked around. She appeared to be in a palace of a kind, as she could guess by the tiles on the floor, well from what little she could actually see with no light around.

Usagi stood up straight and then closed her eyes to try and remember how she got in this unfamiliar dark place. It was just then her memories came rushing back. Mamoru, youma and Zoicite. ZOICITE!

Oh God it was Zoicite. He had seen her, for some reason his attention had been drawn to her and he wanted her energy. He brought her here. So that meant that she was…she was in the lair of the Dark Kingdom. Frightened and alert, she looked around on both sides, checking to see if Zoicite or any other minions were in the room with her right now but to her relief there was no one yet. For the moment she was alone by herself.

"That's good, this way I can just transform and leave before either of them come back. There's no way I can transform in front of them that's for sure, otherwise then they would know my identity" she told herself.

Wanting to take this opportunity and use it she placed her hand on her chest and got ready to say the incantation but then she froze. Her hand met emptiness. Frozen she looked down and her eyes saw that her broach, which had been safely pinned on her shirt, it wasn't there. Her shirt was empty. Immediately she started hyperventilating.

'Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god!'

Where was her broach? Why wasn't it with her? When Zoicite took her, before darkness overtook her consciousness she remembered the broach being there. So where is it? Did they-did they take it? Do they have it now?

Her mind started to have a complete breakdown. Her broach, her only item which could give her protection was missing and she was trapped in the dark kingdom. If-if anyone comes here then she could genuinely die. Her eyes started to water as she wrapped her arms around herself tighter. Oh god she could die. She could die. Here in the dark, and no one would know. No one saw her getting kidnaped by Zoicite. No one, not even her senshis would know. Or even Tuxedo Kamen. Her breathing lost control as she realised her precarious situation.

"Well looks like our food is awake" she heard a chilling voice utter the words. Stiffening, Usagi's eyes went wide and she slowly turned her head to see that near the darkening door stood Zoicite, his smirk in face as he stared at her. His smirk even went wider when he saw her fearful face. In a second he disappeared and then reappeared again, this time right in front of her, closing the 10 feet distance they had had before. The proximity caused her to gasp and she stepped back however she didn't get chance to put much space between them for he reached out and caught both of her arms, tightly. The amount of fear which overtook her now was immense, she was powerless and her heart started pounding. Even more when the sneer on Zoicite became even wider.

"It's amazing how much energy you have, Metalia would be sustained for weeks once she drains you. Queen Beryl would be pleased" he uttered as he touched her cheek which caused her to freeze even more, not liking the way he was touching her, "So clearly I have to deliver you, though that doesn't I can't have fun before I sacrifice you to them."

It occurred to her just what exactly he wanted to do and terror overtook her. She tried to pull away but with his strength he pulled her further closer, right against him while he leaned over her, his lips right next to her ear which send her heart in panic drive.

"No! No! Let go of me!" she shouted. She wouldn't let this happen, he wouldn't touch her.

"What are you going to do little girl? You're powerless" she felt his words exactly near her ears making her feel powerless and weak.

'We're not weak, we can get out of here' the same refined voice spoke inside her mind once again, that lithe feminine voice which was so similar to her.

'Who are you? How can I get out, I have no power, he will destroy me.'

'I am you and we are one. And we are certainly not weak, we have power, I can help you access it, simply close your eyes and call on the light. It's inside us' the voice commanded but Usagi didn't know how to do it. She closed her eyes and tried to find this light which the voice inside her head was telling her but all she got was nothing. She felt Zoicite touch her hair at which her eyes went wide and she clenched her hand into a fist.

'Clear your mind, don't be distracted. Reach inside and find the light, use it. That will get us out of here. Believe in us!'

The voice commanded once again. The threat frightened her and she needed to get out. So listening to it seriously she closed her eyes again and tried her best to clear her thoughts away as the voice commanded and she tried to reach inside the depths of her mind, trying to find this power which the voice in her head was convinced about. Just as she was about to give up hope she felt it. The warmth.

"What the hell!" Zoicite shouted as a silver light appeared out of nowhere and surrounded the girl in his arms. He tried to keep hold of her but the light shot through her and then slammed against him, throwing him across the room and crashing into the wall. This dazed him and he held his head as he looked at the not-so-helpless human. He watched in shock as the silver light surrounded the school girl completely and wove into her golden hair, making it blindingly bright, shining like a beacon. Wanting to protect his sight he raised his hand and covered his eyes. When he felt the beam lessening he brought his hand down and he saw that the girl and the light was both gone. For the place she had been standing at was empty. And now he was the only one left standing in the room.

Mamoru was restless. It was night-time and dark, barely 12 am yet here he was wandering around the streets of Juban instead of being inside his room and studying.

He just couldn't stay inside and do that. He couldn't sleep. He had been restless since the afternoon after defeating the youma. That had been a hard job. Sailor Moon, his beloved Sailor Moon did not come. And that worried him. It had concerned him so much that he had been distracted in the battle. Even the other senshis seemed so baffled at her absence. And due to her absence it had been impossible to kill the youma. He had thrown roses and they had done combined attacks but the youma hadn't been defeatable. The only reason they survived was because for some reason Zoicite left and took away the youma too. Muttering that he had found something valuable.

Since then Mamoru had been restless. He felt like something was missing, that something was very wrong. Something was pulling him, calling to him but he didn't know what it was. And that caused him to have this restless midnight wandering. That feeling hadn't disappeared, it had instead amplified further. The pain tugging at him, at his heart. He wanted it to stop so he simply followed the tug, hoping that whatever was calling him he would find it and then it would stop. As he was losing his mind.

So with his hands on his pockets he simply walked, eyes lost that is until the tugging completely stopped. This caused him to stop himself and freeze up. That restless feeling stopped. Why? What had he found? Confused he looked around at the spot he was. He was in the park now. There was be something here which brought him here. He whipped his head around both sides, scanning everything, it was during scanning that he saw a glint of gold and blue which caught his eyes. Instantly he turned his head to that direction and saw a figure collapsed on the grass which shocked him. For lying crumbled on the grass unconscious was Usagi. Fearful for her, he immediately ran to her fallen figure and immediately picked her up while cradling her against his chest. His eyes rove over her, trying to see if there were any signs of assault on her. Just the thought of that infuriated his wrath. But to his relief there wasn't any visible signs of it on her, her clothes were also intact with no rips so he let out a relieved sigh. The only problem was that she was unconscious. And her hair….that-that was different. Her golden hair which he was used too, it seemed very light blonde now, seeming to have shades of silver? Just what had happened to Usagi?

Shaking his head, realising that being out in this cold wouldn't do anything good for her anymore so he turned around and made his way back to his apartment. He'd have to ask what had happened from Usagi when she wakes up. Because she would.

He had been so conscious and focused on Usagi that he didn't notice the unusual crimson glow of the moon…
