AN: surprise...? Anyways, the next chapter will also be in this pov (to sort of catch up).
He was cursed. Everything around him dies. Anyone he cares about dies. So what's the point of his existence?
He pondered this, his black eyes watching the sky carefully. How many years has it been since he came in contact with another human? Embrace one? Touch one? He closed his eyes, imagining his brother.
His salmon pink hair. His sparkling eyes. His cheeky smiles. His chubby little arms preparing for a hug.
He missed his hugs. The warmth of another body was something he had taken for granted back then. He has since longed for that feeling once more. Although it was unlikely he would ever experience it again.
Loud squeals snapped him out of his thoughts. Suddenly, he felt another presence on his island. He frowned to himself. Wasn't this island supposed to be isolated from the rest of the world? If so, why was there someone here? Moreover, why was he hearing these frightened squeals?
He took it upon himself to investigate this. As he made his way towards the noises, he couldn't help but notice the thickening purple fog. The fog itself was nothing special, however, the slimy feeling attached to it said otherwise.
And then he saw it.
Dozens of animals still as can be, sprawled on the ground.
He had seen this scene too many times to not understand the situation. He felt his stomach drop for these animals. Their lives were taken from them far too soon. A tear escaped from his eye while he mourned them.
Do humans ever change? Everywhere they go, they bring chaos. Once again, the value of a life was taken for granted.
Suddenly, a wave of dark magic radiated off him. The grass he stood on started to wilt at a fast pace, pretty soon everything around him was devoid of life. His once black eyes turned a crimson red. He was angry. Traveling deeper into the fog, he made a note to himself. He will punish the one responsible.
If he couldn't atone for his sins, then the least he could do is punish those who could.
When he finally stopped walking, the sight that welcomed him only angered him more.
"Enough," he uttered.
