Another day passes as more of the vaccine is mass produced. Five vials to be exact, each placed in a metal security briefcase lying on the palace dining room table. The plan is as simple as it is dangerous: they are to split up to minimize the risk of being found out as each take their own briefcase of MK vaccine vial. Princess Ana in Rosalia; Bingbing to China; Ragini to India; and Maria to Canada.
Although another problem arises . . .
"So should I go with Maria?" Jason asked as he looks around. "Logically, I should because I am from Canada after all."
"Logically, you should go with Maria," Bingbing noted while looking at Maria, then looks to Jason. "But logic does not always lead to desirable results."
"I don't understand," Jason asked as he shakes his head briefly with a wince.
"Let me put it another way," Bingbing answered. "What if someone dear to you was on life support due to a severe accident or terminal disease?"
"Funny you should mention that," Jason points out, "because my mom died of cancer some three years before all this happened. And yes, she was put on life support during her final days."
"And was she taken off life support to end her life?" Bingbing asked.
"No, she just passed away during the night while on it," Jason answered. "We were informed the following morning."
"Do you think her plug should have been pulled so that she could hurry up and die sooner rather than later?" Bingbing asked.
"No," Jason said curtly. "She was my mother and ending her life like that would have seemed like murder."
"What did she think of that?" Bingbing pressed.
"She didn't say anything about that," Jason answered. "I think she always throught that some sort of a miracle would occur and she would come out of it. In the end, she slipped into a coma and finally died."
"Don't you think it would have been logical to take her off life support sooner?" Bingbing asked.
Jason blinks in silent contemplation over that answer.
"I see what you mean," he said dourly.
"Logic is cold and unfeeling," Elisa added. "It is without compassion and cares only about getting results as soon as possible, even if it means people will get hurt or something comes along to hinder you in some manner."
"So what you are saying is that I should not go with Maria," Jason said. "Then what should I do? Stay here or go elsewhere?"
"You are, Jinshuyuan, Jason Welsh," Bingbing said. "Metal source remember?"
"Oh yeah," Jason said. "And metal is suppose to aid water, of which Reito is suppose to be."
"Yeah, that's right," Bingbing said.
"Then that means the only way I can aid Reito is by staying close to him," Jason said.
"Then it is settled," Reito said. "Let us divide the work, distribute the vaccine to every location, and have production increased as much as possible."
"My father," Anastasia said. "The Grand Duke of Rosania is still unable to handle the strain . . . If we do not clear away the suspicions revolving around Rosania."
"If you bring them the vaccine," Reito interjected gently, "I am sure the misconceptions about the MK Virus can be resolved."
"What will you do, Reito?" Anastasia asked.
"We . . . will return to Japan," Reito stated.
"Are you nuts?!" Jason exclaimed. "They let us get away and now you want back into the lion's den?!"
"Jason is right," Ragini said grimly. "The UW will kill you, if you return."
"I will not die," Reito said with certainty.
"There are many important people in Japan," Elisa said. "The other Numbers. And Chroe Mansfierd, the spearhead of the UW."
There is a moment of silence, which gets broken by the sound of Reito's tablet. He takes it out and answers it to see a familiar face upon it greeting him.
"Hino-san!" Reito gasped.
"Who is it?" Jason asked Elisa.
"The first male who was awakened," she answered.
"Oh yeah, I was talking with him through Reito on our way out of Japan," Jason noted as if he had forgotten something important and he walks over to stand alongside Reito to see Kyoji Hino.
"Ooh, Jeeson-san!" Hino marveled. "Hello there . . . Listen, Reito-san. There is something I have to tell you."
And Hino tells Reito all that had happened as Elisa translates to Jason.
" . . . And like that, we managed to escape here," Hino finished.
"Is that so," Reito said dourly. "The other girls must be worried."
"Yeah," Hino admitted. "There are lots of other girls pregnant with my children in addition to Yukari . . . Mizuhara-kun, I beg of you! It's awkward to ask this of you after you were on the brink of death trying to make the vaccine, but . . . Please help us!"
"Of course," Reito said firmly. "Please look forward to the good news the next time we meet."
"Thank you!" Hino sighed, then more matter-of-factly. "We are going to be heading west from here."
"Understood," Reito answered. "In that case, our rendezvous point is in the code I sent earlier."
They end their transmission.
"We have to leave as soon as humanly possible," Reito said.
The rest agreed and end up doing so as they get into a shuttlebus and are driven to the airport.
"Elisa, Mahiru, Sui, Akane-san, Jeeson-san, and I will be the first to leave," Reito said.
"The other planes are ready as soon as you all clear," Anastasia said.
"Let us hope that nothing goes wrong while we are all on our way to the places we are going to," Jason said, then covers his mouth momentarily. "Oops, I shouldn't have said that. I might jinx us."
"The evil eye eh?" Ragini mused from alongside him.
Jason sighs long and loud. "I just feel as if the other shoe is about to drop that's all. I mean . . . we are now so close to curing those men in cryo and you think the United Women are just going to leave us alone from now on? Not when there is a whole host of things they could do, since they let us get this far."
"And yet no troops have come to stop us," Akane said on his other side.
"Yeah, I know," Jason said.
"Perhaps this will change the mood," Ragini said helpfully on his other side. "Jason, if we had the time, we could have had a lot of fun together." And clasps his knee.
"Wha-Wha-What?!" Jason stammered as he leans away from her with a leer and a sweatdrop trickling down the side of his face.
"Ooh hoo, Jeeson-kun," Akane teased. "It was her people who wrote that sex book, the Kama Sutra."
"And I would have spoiled you for other women," Ragini whispered sultrily while leaning in close to Jason's ear, causing him to shudder.
"But I would have spoiled him before you could have," Bingbing said from behind Jason while leaning in close to his ear, "until that Origa interrupted."
"I was in on that too," Akane said whimsically.
"Geez, will you stop that sort of talk!" Mahiru scolded as she has her hands clapped over Sui's ears. "There's a little girl here!"
"Okay, we need to focus," Reito said from up front. "The rest of you ladies all know what to do when you get to where you need to go."
"That we do," Bingbing said.
They arrive at the airport and get out. Reito, Elisa, Mahiru, Sui, Akane, and Jason are standing across from the others with the plane behind them and ready to go once they board.
"Well, this is it," Reito said. "Hopefully, we will all be able to reunite once this is over with."
"Yeah, and then you can pick up mating with the rest of us," Bingbing said hopefully.
"Heh, yeah," Reito said with humorous unease.
Anastasia steps forward and hugs Reito.
"Seen you soon, Reito," she said with a break in her voice, then releases as her eyes tear up.
The rest of the women also take turns hugging Reito, and Jason too. The time comes and Reito and his designated group board the plane while the rest leave the runway so that the plane can take off without endangering them.
They get belted in and the plane is soon taxiing down the runway and is finally airborne.
"We will make contact with Maria-chan, Ragini-san, Bingbing-chan, and Anastasia-chan when we have all flown far enough," Reito said.
"Yeah, they do need time to get settled in," Jason said. Then looks out the window at the clouds that are now beneath them. "We are returing to the lion's den." Then looks at Reito with a serious look. "So just how are you planning to slay the lions and come out of this one on top?"
"The first thing that must be done is to get Hino-san and Shota-san to safety," Elisa said. "You already met one of them over the tablet, but the other is also being held by the UW."
"So how are you going to get them out?" Jason pressed.
"Through Izunami, remember?" Elisa said.
"Them?!" Jason exclaimed whimsically as he sits forward. "The ones who have daily gangbangs with the other man in their custody?!"
"And we told you before, Jeeson-san," Elisa countered flusteredly. "They do not represent, Izunami. Those women are simply extreme."
"But you were with that group of women," Jason pointed at her.
"Only because they have enough power to help me pirate the airwaves to broadcast that statement," Elisa said.
"Yeah, I was told about that," Jason noted. "So these other groups. What are they like?"
"The others are more reasonable," Elisa answered. "One group is Mormon."
"There are Mormons in Japan?!" Jason exclaimed.
"We have three Mormon churches in our country," Elisa said. "Anyway, they want to wed the Numbers to women instead of just taking them like the group I was a part of."
"How virtuous," Jason said dryly. "Then again Mormonism would make sense in this brave new world-at least for the next one hundred years that is. Are there any Muslims within Izunami?"
"No," Elisa answered.
"Figures," Jason shrugged. "Muslim men are only allowed up to four wives."
That is when Sui walks up to them.
"Ah, excuse me, Jeeson-san," Sui said alongside him.
"What?" Jason asked.
"What is a gangbang?" Sui asked innocently. "Does it have anything to do with mating?"
"Ah, yeah! Yeah it does," Jason said quickly. "Now please go sit back down."
"Aw, geez!" Mahiru fumed from where Sui had been sitting with her as she glared at Jason. "Look what you did, Jeeson-san! Can you not speak such vulgar words?! Sui is too young to hear them!"
Night comes in as the sun is seen setting through the windows down through the clouds. Already the stars are starting to emerge as they are high up to see them sooner.
"It is time," Reito said as he brings up a virtual screen and makes the call. The screen seperates into four panels for Maria, Rasini, Bingbing, and Anastasia.
"Well then everyone," Reito said. "As planned, we will be attempting to make contact with leaders of various locations."
"I will secretly make contact with the heads of various European coutries," Anastasia stated. "I will meet as many as I can within the next three days!"
"I-I-I will go and meet the leaders of the autonomous organizations of Canada!" Maria stuttered. "It-It-It should take about two to three days"
"I too plan to see the leading party members of the continent in three days!" Bingbing stated.
"I will meet with my godmother in India," Ragini said. "It will be in the next three days as well."
"The UW may try to interfere," Elisa said. "Everyone, please do your best to stay safe."
"We will distribute the vaccine around the world to bring back the men who are sleeping and make them our allies," Reito stated. "By doing so, the misunderstandings involving Rosania that were spread by the UW's propaganda will clear away!"
"I have something to inform everyone," Anastasia said.
"What happened?" Reito asked.
"I received this intel from an intelligence agency," Anastasia answered. "It seems that the UW is preparing to launch missles!"
"What?!" Jason rasped.
"And their target," Reito asked fretfully.
"I believe it is," Anastasia sighed dreadfully. "Rosania."
"Damn it!" Jason exclaimed with a snarl. "We knew the UW was not going to sit back and watch, but this is extreme!"
"Maybe they noticed that we made a vaccine," Ragini mused.
"This . . . quickly," Reito pondered.
"If there's a spy in our midst, we would leak all sorts of intel," Ragini surmised.
"Let's hasten everything!" Reito stated. "We will obstruct the US in Japan as well!"
"Like that's gonna end well," Jason said under his breath. "Remember a hundred years ago?"
The screens blank out, leaving Bingbing.
"Bingbing-san?" Reito asked.
"Lianren," Bingbing said gravely. "My granny may have . . ."
Only to trail off and not finish.
"Your boss did what?" Reito asked.
"Never mind, it's nothing," Bingbing said assuredly. "I'll talk to you again."
Bingbing's screen goes blank and the virtual screen is shut off. Reito lets out a sigh.
"I won't be able to sleep soundly the next few days, huh?" Reito mused. "And it seems like Hino-san's child will be born really soon."
"Yes," Elisa said. "In the next three days."
"Talk about a coincidence," Jason mused. "That is also when the others will meet up with the world leaders out there."
"It sure is," Reito said.
There is a moment of quiet. That is when Reito and Elisa start conversing in Japanese for a time.
"What are you two talking about?" Jason asked.
"I was just telling her that when we get to Japan, I want her to meet Suou Mira," Reito answred.
"And there is something that you both must know about Suou Mira-san," Elisa said.
"What is it?" Jason asked.
Elisa tells them about Suou Mira.
