Prompt: i would looove a prompt based on the "Oh sweetheart, I can out bitch you any day of the week." Quote you reblogged ;D
I'm leaving on Sunday for competitive exams that will take most of next week so since I won't be home and I will be busy dying in front on my exams… There will be no prompts next week. I will still be publishing "Fire and Ice" for sure both Sundays and I will at least try to get Invictus out but I'll talk about that more on those respective story. The important part is: no prompts next week.
I'll miss you!
Bitching Match
Haymitch hated this new escort of his. She was loud, obnoxious and simply insufferable.
"You smell odd." he complained one morning at breakfast when she walked past him to pour herself more coffee from the console loaded with food and refreshments.
"I smell clean." she replied without missing a beat. "I am not surprised you don't recognize the smell, given the stench I would say it's been quite a few days since the last time you saw the inside of a shower stall."
"You fancy yourself funny, don't you?" he scoffed.
She flashed him an unimpressed look and damned those eyes of hers for being so blue, he almost forgot about the clownish make-up and the atrocious outfit. "Actually, I am. A funny person."
"Ridiculous, more like." he mocked.
"It takes one to know one, I suppose." she replied.
He tried to feel more annoyed than amused by her determination to match him wits for wits. It had been like that for the past week and he was already done with her. He hoped she would move on the following year.
"You're going to get tired sooner than me, sweetheart." he snorted. "No one can out bitch me."
"Oh, sweetheart…" she grinned, using the very same tone and with an innocent batting on eyelashes. "I can out bitch you any day of the week."
The smirk stretched his lips before he could stop it.
Effie Trinket Vs Haymitch Abernathy.
