To their eternal frustration, the stairs ended in a narrow hallway that seemed to wrap around the entire back of the building before finally revealing a door into the main part of the building. Halfway through it, even the Dark-type Pokémon could barely shield them from the pressure. It had to be near Olympia, but their attempts to break down the wall and short-cut to her failed. The wall, despite being merely wood covered in wallpaper held strong against what attacks the Pokémon could launch in the narrow space without threatening the humans with them.

"The Mind Break is so strong that nothing can alter anything within it." She had feared something like that when Fantina – or the manifestation of her, at least - had been unable to move from beneath the desk where she had been formed by that very Mind Break. The other two could only agree.

"At least there's more than enough room here… I hope." Steven looked at the Luxury Ball in his hand. He also hoped that he could control the Pokémon in question. Malva's Houndoom knew Diantha and so could easily believe that she'd be loaned, but until Allortan had pulled out the Ball in question, he hadn't even known the other had a Pokémon to begin with. Things would go so much worse if they first needed to fight a rampaging Pokémon. In the end, there was nothing more to be done, so he threw the black-and-golden ball, watching somewhat tensely as the bright light burst out and took form in the open space before them.

They were greeted with a furious roar.

"Arceus..." Cynthia breathed in shock at the Pokémon turning on them with fury in its' eyes. "Did he ever mention having a Pseudo-Legendary!?"

The two others had to disappoint her; they had had no idea that one of Kalos' most successful lawyers had a Hydreigon as his personal Pokémon. The massive form snarled at them, distrustful of the strangers that had called it instead of its' trainer. But said strangers were still Champions, even when surprised, and as such did not back down at its' growls.

"You were loaned to Fantina, but she is unconscious." In the end, only the truth could help; Pokémon were masters at detecting falsehoods. "And I need your help." Steven spread his arms, tilting his head downward while maintaining eye-contact. A mix of submission and challenge against the massive dragon. He was very grateful that the Houndoom was still touching him, because the pressure of facing down a strange Pokémon without any of his own while dealing with the weight of a Mind Break would not have been easy… or even possible.

All three Pokémon were snarling to a certain degree and the humans dearly hoped they were discussing cooperation and not fighting with one another.

In the distance, a ghostly howl formed in the depths of the building, echoing among the walls. The dragon's attention shot from them in the direction of the sound, fuchsia eyes narrowing. Something changed then, because when the dragon's attention returned to them, it submitted. The central head came in low, mouth closed and the touch against the Champion's hand was soft.

"Thank you." Steven resisted the urge to scratch the scaly skin beneath his fingers. They probably weren't anywhere near that stage of a relationship yet. "We'll have to remain touching, I am afraid. Are you alright with that?"

Long, slender wings moved gracefully to lift the large form higher. One of the side-heads clamped down, barely even denting the suit-jacket. He figured the large Dark-type had practice in this with its' own trainer.

Diantha looked up, one hand still on the shoulder of Malva's Pokémon. "Let's go." She didn't want to know exactly what that sound had been. She had her suspicions and none of them were good. Leading the way back to where the pressure had been greatest, she noticed in worry that the flashes were growing faster and shorter.

Disturbingly, the door ahead of them was blasted off its' hinges, despite her being sure that that was not how doors normally looked.

Another inhuman howl came from in front of them and she was now horrifyingly certain that this was her Gym Leader's voice. What had Olympia been reduced to to make such a sound?

The sight that greeted her when reaching the open door-frame certainly fit the sounds that emanated from the room. Olympia was crouching on the ground, rocking back and forth with pained groans. Her hair and cape were completely airborne, looking as if a massive up-draft was present.

"Olympia?" At the sound of her voice, the older woman jerked up. While the dragon had not outwardly fazed Diantha all that much, the face of one of her closest friends now did. Every orifice was burning with white light… and leaking with blood. Bloody tears were running down her cheeks, mixing with the blood of her nose and mouth before dripping down on the ground.

"Diantha… her ring..." Cynthia breathed, stepping up beside the other woman. She was referring to the wide ring that always floated around the Gym Leader's shoulders, which it still did, but it was also nearly drowned out by the light of Psychic power… and then Diantha realized why her attention had been drawn to it; it was not alight with power, but with heat. It was rotating so fast around the Psychic that the air was igniting around it, burning brightly.

"Olympia." The pained panic on the face broke her heart. If what Fantina said was true about how Olympia should be able to free herself, this must feel horrifying to her. "Arceus..." Later she would be thankful for the astuteness of Malva's Pokémon, because she completely forgot holding onto the Dark-type, but the black form kept itself pressed against her leg.

"Di… Diantha..." The attempt to speak was rewarded with more blood dripping down, landing on a floor that flashed between luxurious carpet and half-rotten wooden planks. Anistar's Gym Leader moaned pitifully, curling up around herself. "It… it is all wrong… I… I can't..."

"I know..." She really wanted to help, but didn't know how. Coming closer, she crouched close to the other woman. "How can I help you?" Much like with Fantina, she had to resist the urge to touch the other. That would go even worse for her, considering the other was the source of the Mind Break.

"I..." She couldn't see the other's eyes, the blaze of power obscuring them, but she was pretty certain they were filled with fear. "I…"

Both jerked at a roar from behind the Champion. Wheeling around, Diantha looked up at the Dragon looming in the door-opening. Allortan's Hydreigon snarled at her, eyes fixed on her. It actually took her a moment it wasn't really her, but the form behind her.

"Hy… Hy… you…? Gerard…?" Olympia's eyes widened at the sight, trembling even as she clawed at her own arms. "Why… he..."

"Allortan loaned his Pokémon to us." Steven spoke up, eyes narrowing at how the strange Pokémon seemed to be the being Olympia was most fixated on and had immediately recognized it as being of 'Gerard' Allortan.

At his statement, the crouching woman lurched forward, a panicked wail bursting from her lips. Diantha barely managed to scramble out of the way of the white-hot ring coming dangerously close. "No… no… he..." A new flood of tears rolled down her cheeks. "Gerard..."

The three-headed behemoth voiced a gentle howl Cynthia immediately recognized as a Dragon-type mother-call.
