Alright, so, I'm back. Sorry it took so long. I had a few things happen the past two months. Went Ruby Mining and got some Rubies, went through a small case of depression that I easily got over, I had a birthday, and went through one of the few times where I had writer's block. Or... writer's decision. Whatever that would be. So, yeah. Lot's happened. I even decided to make a decision of making more Sonic and Mario stories. Had a huge brainstorm of them over the past twp months. Which one am I gonna do next? Well... you'll have to find out later!
... Or y'know, look at my page and see what stories are under M.A.S.S. Either or, really.
Anyways, enjoy.
The morning sun slowly crept through the windows of a delinquent's room. Said room was cluttered with clothing, boxes, food, and various other things. The teenager's leg twitched in his sleep, His unintelligible mumblings signifying that he was dreaming. The only words that were able to escape his mouth in the real world were "Girl,", "Oh, yeah," And "Oh, no, Chance time."
The sunlight slowly crept in onto his face, shining ever so brightly. This agitated him to the point where he lifted the covers up over his face. The teenager moaned. He knew he had to get up. It was Monday. He had to get up and go to school. He threw of the covers and got out of his bed. Groaning, he walked through his messy room and into the bathroom. There were clothes and washcloths and towels spread all across the room, it was a mess. A whole bunch of stuff was spread out across the sink as well. Mainly things that should be neatly organized in the pantry, along with a couple of toothbrushes.
He looked in the mirror, at his messy self. His hair was a mess and his face was dirty. Guess that's what happens when you party nearly all night long. He picked up his toothbrush and placed toothpaste before brushing his teeth. Back and fourth, back and fourth, back and fourth. So repetitive. He wondered why he needed to brush them in he first place in the morning. He hadn't eaten anything over the past night. He was asleep. Oh, well. After brushing his teeth, he ran back to his from and got dressed. However, as he didn't have any truly clean clothes, he just found the least dirty shirt and pants before running out. He tried to fit on his pants as he ran down the stairs. Bad idea. He fell down them in a very comical fashion. Which hurt thanks to them not being carpeted.
The teenager sighed in pain as he got up from the floor. Great. Just great. He stood in one place as he put on his pants this time. He then ran through the living room and grabbed hold of the doorknob. He twisted it and opened the door, but was surprised to see someone there. It was a woman in a police uniform, with black sunglasses perched over her cold eyes, and brown hair. "Hello, there. Is your name Zeke?" She asked, coldly.
Zeke wasn't entirely awake at this point, so he wasn't sure why a police woman would even be near here. However, as he knew that a policeman-or in this case, woman-was above him and had authority over him, he decided to respond to her question correctly. "Yes, I'm Zeke."
The woman looked at him with an eyebrow raised, "Hm... Alright. Now tell me, Zeke..." She said, with a slight hiss in her voice at the mentioning of his name, "Where were you on the 27th at 3:47 P.M.?"
Zeke scratched his head. Man, did this lady have to come in when his mind was just activating? "Uh... Can you give me a bit more then that? I just woke up, lady..."
"Friday. Three days ago. Right after you got outta school." The woman said sternly.
Zeke could barely remember three seconds ago, let alone three days right now. But he was able to piece together the fact that he was with his friends, "I think I was with my buds, Jim and Eagle..."
"Right. Jim and Eagle. Now then, tell me, what were you doing with those two?" She asked, looking incredibly serious.
"I don't know right now, I literally just got up! My head ain't on yet. Do me a favor and come back after school. I'll be here." The punk teenager said, attempting to walk past her. She, however, held her arm out, blocking the teens path, "From what I was able to get from your friends, they said you had a fourth person with you. A child named Melvin?"
Zeke's eyes widened upon hearing that name. Melvin... He completely forgot about what happened the other day! He threw him down a hill in a trash can, only or the end result to be a bloody mess of garbage.
"I-I-I wasn't there! I did nothing at all with Melvin! He-He-He was completely fine!" Zeke said, panicking.
"Oh, really?Because from what they told me, it seems more like you're trying to hide something." She said, with her hands on her hips.
"NO, I swear! They're lying! They're lying! We didn't kill Melvin!"
The Police woman raised an eyebrow, "Funny, they didn't say anything about killing him."
Zeke's eyes widened further. "N-no! I mean..." He just walked right into her trap. This couldn't be happening! This! Could! Not! Be! happening!
"Alright, I think I've heard enough. You're coming with me." She said, grabbing hold of his wrist.
Zeke pulled away from the police woman's grip, and ran like the place was on fire.
"Hey! You get back here!" The police woman shouted.
"You'll never take me! NEVER" Zeke shouted at the top of his lungs. He ran away from the woman as fast as he could. He didn't think of running back into his 'd catch him there. Either way, he couldn't turn back. Behind him, the police woman pulled out a small gun-shaped object and pointed it at the boy. She fired it and a small projectile flew out of it and it hit object smacked into the punk teen's back and sent a large electrical jolt through his body. He fell to the ground. Unable to move. Paralyzed, even. He could only move his eyes, to look around. He looked up to see the woman walking towards him.
"Hmph. It's time I take you in." She said, kneeling down to him. She placed a pair of hand cuffs and picked him up. She walked to her police car and threw him in the back seat, "This would have never happened if you hadn't been messing with my son."
Zeke stood with his back up against a wall. A rick wall. In his cell. The police woman had thrown him in jail and threw away the key. Great. Just great. When he got outta here, he would have to remember to pound Jim and Eagle. He was actually there for the past few days. Thankfully, not many people were in the prison, so he was without a roommate. Which was good. He had to say, with the gruel being served, and all the other stuff he did the past week, it really wasn't all that different from school. It's just that neither of his friends or Melvin were here...
Poor Melvin. Poor poor Melvin. He didn't deserve to die. At least, not the way he did. Zeke was somewhat guilty for what he did. He knew he didn't mean to send the kid in front of a truck... Wow, that sounded really bad.
He looked down at the floor, reflecting at what he had done. That police woman seemed to be his mom. So a tad bit of poetic justice was done, he supposed. Still... He began to wonder to himself. 'Would I be in this situation if I still h-'
A car horn was heard before he could really reflect any more on it. A car horn he recognized... He looked up behind himself to see a window, albeit with bars in it so no one could escape. He slowly turned around and grabbed the edge of the window, looking out of it. His eyes widened. He couldn't believe it. A red, sleek, topless car was running right towards the prison. The driver had tears in his eyes as he screamed obscenities that had to be censored because the author doesn't like swearing in his works.
"PUPPIES! FLOWERS! KITTENS! AND SUNSHINE!" He censoredly sweared as he drove at nearly 100 miles per hour.
Zeke's eyes widened. 'Oh, no...' It couldn't be... It was his-
CRASH!
Tails and Luigi walked into the entrance room of the mansion. With it's lights now on, it wasn't so bad. At least, that's what was going on in Luigi's head. It was still kinda dusty, but other then that it was alright. Tails pulled out the Gabble Gear and looked at it. A small map appeared on it's screen, with one room highlighted yellow, and a small circle in another room highlighted green. The green circle was meant to indicate that is where they were in, while the yellow room was meant to indicate where they were supposed to go. Luckily for them, it was in a room that they had already been to... the room where Cosmo was taken...
"It should be in here..." Tails said, trying to repress his memory of Cosmo screaming for help. The kit walked up to the other door and pushed it open. The two walked into the room. To both his and Luigi's surprise, the lights were on.
Tails and Luigi shrugged at each other, deciding not to question why he lights were on. It was a haunted mansion after all. Tails walked in the room, his Poltergust strapped to his back. It seemed to be the living room. He made note of the broken picture frame, and the Broken TV... which was working and on, somehow.
Luigi shakily walked through the room, although less so then normal considering it wasn't all that spooky. Yes, he was a little creeped out, but he was less scared now then before. He quietly sat down on the couch and looked beside himself, seeing a remote. He picked it up and aimed it at the television, seeing if it still worked. To his surprise, it did.
"Oh... Cool." Luigi said to himself.
"Um... Luigi?" Tails said to the plumber. Luigi turned his head, focusing his attention on the kit. "We probably shouldn't be watching TV right now..."
Luigi looked at the expression in Tails' eyes. They seemed upset... maybe even scared. Luigi quickly realized why Tails looked like this... It was because of Cosmo. "Oh... Right. Sorry." Luigi told him. He pushed a button on the TV, turning it off. Tails looked around the room a little bit more. He was able to see a few exits-at least what he assumed were exits. One of them apparently led in two directions, one seemingly down a corridor and another which was a normal door. The only other thing he noted of was a door on the other side of the room... where incredibly sickening noises were coming out of. It didn't sound like something that they wanted to go and find out what was in there.
Tails gulped, looking down at the Gabble Gear. It appeared that the yellow light was actually on the other side of the room. Away from the sickening noise room. Tails sighed a breath of relief. He turned around and walked to the side of the room where the light was indicating him to go. He found himself at the two exits, the door and corridor. However, when he looked down the corridor, h found out that it was just a simple staircase, leading upstairs.
"Oh right. E. Gad said there was some paranormal activity upstairs." Tails said aloud to himself.
Luigi walked up behind Tails and took a look upstairs. It was dark and eerie... spooky and scary... Luigi took a big gulp before asking a question, "Do we have to go up there?"
"It's our best shot at finding Cosmo, Luigi..." Tails responded. He looked up the stairs and took a few steps onto them.
Luigi gulped once more, "R-right... okie-dokie..."
He lifted and placed his foot on the first step on the stairway before a maniacal cackle was sounded, making Luigi and Tails jump, "Wah!"
"What was that?!"
Suddenly, the cackling voice started speaking to them, "Hahahahaha! Oh, look it's a couple of scaredy cats... Pwobabwy wooking for their mommy... Hahahahahaha!"
Luigi and Tails looked around, trying to pinpoint where the taunting voice was coming from.
"W-who's there? W-w-ho are you?" Tails stuttered.
The sound of maniacal cackling filled the room once more. But this time accompanied by another sound. a clanging sound. Tails' ear flickered as he heard it. He moved his head to see where the strange sound was coming from. He saw a small black ball fall down the wasn't all that big. Maybe about the size of a soccer ball. It hit against Tails' leg when he saw a small, lit fuse on it. Tails put two and two together,
It was a bomb.
Tails screamed as he tried to get away from it. He didn't take into account that he was o the steps, however, thanks to the slight panic and fell on top of Luigi, with the bomb exploding behind him. Thankfully, it wasn't a huge explosion, just a small one.
"Waah-Oof!" Luigi exclaimed with a thud as the two were at the bottom of the steps, Tails n top of the plumber. The maniacal cackle was heard once again by the two. Tails and Luigi looked up to see the smoke from the bomb clearing away, with a new figure standing there. A teenaged ghost with grey skin and a green, flaming Mohawk, spinning a bomb on his finger like a basket ball.
"Hey there, nerds." He said to them in a taunting tone.
Luigi screamed at the sight of the pale ghost. Tails on the other hand, did not. But he did stare at him, his eyes widened and fear filled. "W-who are you?" Tails asked him.
The teenaged ghost laughed hard at the question. As he cackled, he threw the bomb up in the air and caught it, as if it were a basket ball. "Hahahaha! The name's Zeke, fox boy. Zeke Trixxter!" With that, he lifted the bomb to his fiery Mohawk and lit the fuse to the deadly orb. He chucked it down the stairs towards the two at the bottom of the steps.
"Waah!" They both screamed. They both fumbled around, trying to get out of the way of the bomb. Tails jumped off of Luigi and ran across the room, with Luigi got back to his feet. He dive bombed across the room, just barely avoiding the explosive.
"Owie..." Luigi yelled as he fell to the floor. He got onto his hands and looked up to see Tails offering his hand to the plumber. Luigi lifted his hand of of the ground and grasped Tails' as the kit lifted him up onto his feet. When Luigi was on his feet once more, Zeke's maniacal laughing was sounded throughout the room. The plumber and fox looked at the doorway right next to the stairs, as they couldn't actually see the stairs. Zeke suddenly flew down the stairs, riding a skateboard with two Bombs in his hands. Zeke jumped on his skateboard and began to ride across the walls, beginning to circle around them in the light up room.
Tails and Luigi's eyes widened upon this sight. The punk laughed as he rode across the room's walls. He quickly threw a bomb in his hand at the two frightened fighters. Tails yelled as it headed right for him in particular. He wasn't able to get out of the way of the bomb, so it blew up in his face. And it hurt too. The smoke form the explosion fogged up the vision of both the plumber and the fox. IN this small time frame, Zeke rode across the door of the entrance of the room and flicked the light switch off, rendering the room dark.
When the smoke cleared, Tails and Luigi could barely see a thing. Luckily for them, it seemed that Zeke's fiery Mohawk acted as a light source. As did the lit fuses of the bombs he threw. "Hahahaha!" Zeke cackled, "I'm gonna show you what these bombs can really do, nerds!"
Luigi's teeth clenched in horror upon hearing this statement. He did not want to see what those bombs could do. Luckily for him, Tails was right by his side.
"Luigi! Poltergust! Now!" Tails yelled as he pulled out his vacuum hose. Luigi looked at Tails and nodded, pulling out his vacuum hose as well... but fumbling around with it a tad bit more then Tails did. Zeke saw this opportunity and took it. He reached behind himself and pulled another bomb out, lifted it up to his Mohawk and threw it at the fumbling plumber. Luigi did not expect the bomb to be coming so soon, so when the explosive hit, he could not dodge. He was sent spiraling back by the explosive orb, and onto the ground. Zeke smirked. Quickly the punk teenager jumped straight off of his skateboard and flew to the other side of the room. Luigi coughed as he slowly got up from the floor, only to be brought down as Zeke landed on him. "GAK!" Luigi yelped in pain.
Tails' eyes widened as he heard Luigi. Quickly, he readied his Poltergust and flashlight, only for Zeke to throw another bomb at him. Tails screamed in pain as he flew back against the tree in the room. He hit the oxygen producing item and fell to the ground. He lifted himself up and looked to Zeke. His eyes blurred, but they could make out Zeke's shape and colors.
"Hahaha! How does that feel, nerd?" The manic child cackled.
Tails' mind was clutterd, trying to process everything that had just happened. This guy... this ghost attacked so quickly... he said his name was Zeke? Where did he hear that name before?
His eyes widened as he realized who this was, "You... You're the bully... who... killed Melvin!"
Zeke's eyes widened and he looked to the fox. This kid knew Melvin? How?
"You killed... Poor Melvin..." Tails said, trying to catch his breath. "You took away... his life... you bully!"
Zeke rolled his eyes at the mention of the word bully. Tails wasn't the first person to call him that. He just kinda rolled his eyes at everyone who called him a bully.
"I know your kind... Zeke...I've been bullied before too... You think you're above people who are smarter then you... You always insult them... call them nerds, or geeks..." Tails continued to lecture.
Zeke looked the fox square in the eye at that remark. He had something to say about that one. "I bullied him because he was a nerd? Ha! Right. I bullied him because he thought he was all high and mighty. He thought he was better then all of us. Well, what makes him think he's better? He a short little nerd freak. He deserved what happened!"
Tails looked onto Zeke with his eyes widened. He thought this kid was just evil at this point. But he wasn't. Zeke didn't mean exactly what he said. He felt that Melvin did deserve the bullying he got in his lifetime, but he didn't deserve to die the way he however, didn't know this, so he continued on with his lecture to the bully.
"You... Monster! You killed the poor kid! He didn't deserve to die! Did you even stop to think of what you did to other people? What do you think his parents' thoughts were? His family?!His mom or his dad?!" Tails said.
The room remained silent. Zeke looked upon Tails with a blank expression. A similar one to when Melvin called him Ezekiel. He tightened his fist as he began to speak.
"His mom...?"
His eyes grew angry. His teeth clenched. His Mohawk seemed to start blazing. Tails' eyes widened as Zeke slowly walked towards him with a look of anger.
"He should consider himself lucky..." Zeke whispered, pulling out a bomb once again, and continuing his sentence with a shout, "THAT HE HAD A MOM!"
Zeke chucked his bomb at Tails and it exploded on poor child screamed as it hit. Before he knew it, Zeke was throwing more bombs then Tails thought he could carry, screaming at the top of his lungs.
"HE HAD A MOTHER FOR HIS ENTIRE LIFE! DID I HAVE MINE? NO! I HAD TO DEAL WITH JUST ME AND MY DAD! HE DIDN'T WHAT MAKES HIM SO SPECIAL? HUH? TELL ME!"
Tails screamed as he was hit by several bombs at once.
"TELL ME!"
Tails tried to break free of the barrage, but he could barely move from the onslaught of explosives.
"TELL ME!" Zeke shouted as he lifted both of his hands over his head. Two more bombs appeared in his hands, these ones seemingly more large then any of the others. Zeke's angry face quickly dissipated as he felt a sharp pain throughout his entire body. He felt a suction behind himself. He was quickly pulled back with the sound of a vacuum whirr. He shouted as he resisted the air currents. Had he been more focused, he would have had a better chance then he did. He looked to his hands and did indeed note that there were two bombs in them, just as they were before. He readied to throw them, only for them to explode in his hands. This distracted the ghost long enough for him to finally be pulled fully into whatever was sucking him up.
Tails looked over to see a man in green, sitting on the floor, with his Poltergust pointed right at Tails. Or, rather, where Zeke was.
"Well... That was a boss fight..." With that, Luigi fell to the floor, once more.
Tails smiled. Luigi just saved his bacon there. Had he not done that, he probably wouldn't have made it. He slowly got to his feet and walked over to the plumber, attempting to ignore his bruises. He wasn't sure how he only had bruises from explosions from ghostly bombs, but he decided not to question it and just be thankful that's all they were.
Luigi looked up to Tails, who was standing above him, offering his hand to the plumber. He took it and Tails helped him get to his feet.
"Thanks, Tails."
"No. Thank you, Luigi. You really saved me there." Tails said to him with a smile.
Luigi sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "I guess I did, didn't I? Heheheh..."
Tails looked down to his side and pulled out the Gable Gear to see where they needed to go. With Zeke's interference, they lost track of where they needed to go. Tails looked to see that they were in the room and realized that they needed to go upstairs.
"Come on, Luigi. We need to go." And with that, Tails walked over to where the stair were, followed slowly by Luigi. The plumber now half expected someone else to be at the top of the stairs, so he creeped around the corner, shining his flashlight up the stairway. No ghosts were there to spook either one of them this time. Luigi sighed in relief.
'Come on. Let's get up there." Tails said to Luigi. The Plumber nodded and started walking up the stairs, followed closely by the fox. Each step Luigi took creaked. Each and every one of them. When the man in green got to the top of the steps, he peered around the corner to make sure that no one was up there.
"Is it safe?" Tails whispered.
Luigi looked back and nodded to him.
It was then that something unexpected happened. The door at the bottom of the steps flung open, slamming loudly as it hit the wall. Both Luigi and Tails screamed at the top of their lungs. Then something flew out of the doorway. Luigi and Tails could barely register what it was. room what they could tell, it was light and dark brown, and had a small appendage on it. The unknown item suddenly wrapped itself around one of Tails' tails and started pulling back.
"Aaahhhh!" Tails screamed as he was pulled down the stairs. "Lui-" The poor Kit could not finish the sentence, as he was pulled into the room and the door slammed itself shut, and made a small clicking sound.
Luigi looked down at the door. What the heck was was that?! Silence followed. Dead silence. Luigi slowly took a few steps down, ow jittery and jumpy. He got to the ground floor and stared upon the door that Tails just flew into. "Tails...?" He said aloud in a scared tone. He walked up to it and grabbed the doorknob, twisting it to open. Unfortunately, it was locked. Great. Just great. Luigi turned around to look at the room behind him. He walked over to the cabinet and looked upon the drawers in it. He started to open and close them, shifting through it to find a possible key.
Meanwhile, behind him, unbeknownst to the plumber, the door in the corner of the room slowly opened and something walked out. It was wearing overalls and a purple hat, accompanied with blue bags under it's eyes and a big, pink nose. It spoke quietly to itself, not allowing Luigi to hear it's horrid voice.
"Hey, Narrator. Shut up about Waluigi."
Waluigi looked around the room to see the mess that was there. The walls had scorch marks on them, and bookshelf had fallen over and the TV had been busted into several tiny pieces. Waluigi's mouth dropped upon seeing his beautiful-albeit haunted-mansion in tatters. However, the final thin he noticed intrigued him. He looked at Luigi with a face of curiosity.
"A key!" Luigi exclaimed as he pulled a key out of the drawer. The plumber then walked to the doorway that he thought the key might open. Waluigi, intrigued somewhat, walked up behind Luigi, making sure that he couldn't be heard by him. Luigi walked up to the door and placed the key in the keyhole, with Waluigi right behind him. He turned it and a nice 'click' came out of the lock.
"It unlocked it." Luigi exclaimed. Waluigi reached behind himself as Luigi continued, "Don't worry, Tails. Luigi's-" Luigi could not finished that part of her sentence, as Waluigi dropped a flower pot on the poor plumber's head, making him fall to the ground. Waluigi looked down upon Luigi, whilst the plumber could not see him. Only Starmen and Paratroopas.
"Who gave the Koopa's all of my Red Bull?" He said, dizzily.
Waluigi smiled to himself. He looked around the room and saw the doorway. Deciding it would be a nice idea to get out of this mansion before anything really freaky happened, he ran towards the door and jumped out the window-wait, what?
"Waluigi knows you locked the door, narratorman! And Waluigi doesn't care! Hahaha!" Waluigi said running out into the yard. Suddenly, lightning struck the plumber bridal boutique owner.
" ... Really?! REALLY?! You're using Lightning now, Mr. Narratorman?! Ugh... Fine. Waluigi will go back into the mansion..." And with that, Waluigi sulked his way back into the mansion.
"But you're not going to see Waluigi again for another two chapters! Seriously, Waluigi is just going to stand in the room and do nothing!" Wlauigi shouted to the heavens, before climbing in through the window.
Yays! It's done! ... Eh, I think it's the worst outta all of them so far. Probably from all the different ideas I've had over the past couple of weeks for Zeke. Oh, well. The next chapters will probably be a lot better. Especially the next one. We're going to se my favorite ghosts in the entire thing so far. Maybe even the entire story.
Justjoe Thank you Joe. And I will not forget that Waluigi is number 7
Team Sonic Forever 4910 Don't worry, dude, I won't give up on this story. Glad you liked Melvin's chapter. Hope you like Zeke's. Hope you will like 'Belle and 'Bella's. Who are they? You'll see...
SilverariaMaximum We are Bros, dude. It's just that you haven't given me any ideas for the story yet. It's okay. You'll probably give me something eventually.
Anyways, read and review. It motivates me more. Remmeber, every time that you read and don't review, Waluigi eats a goldfish.
*Meanwhile, Waluigi is eating a bag of Goldfish*
Waluigi: What?
