The celebration was large, loud, and long. Percy was worn out from the last few days and now he had had to spend the last few hours mingling with various immortal beings. He had been fiercely reminded by Zeus to appear at the two solstices, one of which was coming up very soon. He had spoken to other Olympians as well. Apollo and Hermes were the two he spent the most time with, he had drunk with them at the bar until Demeter had dragged Percy away in order to introduce him to some nature gods. He avoided Athena like the plague, he knew that both he and her were not yet over the death of Annabeth and would not be for some time. She seemed like the kind of person who would have preferred to grieve alone. After meeting with the nature gods Percy spent time with his father and half siblings, Rhodes demanded on introducing him to all of her friends, most of whom she tried to set him up with. Percy made sure to shoot down her ideas of finding him a new girlfriend quickly. He had a brief and cold exchange with Hera, he felt anger bubble the entire time she talked to him, praising herself for the success of the prophecy. If there was anyone at fault apart from Gaia for Annabeth's death, it was her, or Juno more accurately. Percy didn't think it was an important distinction. He spoke to Hades and Nico, who was now a god and official prince of the underworld in perpetuity. He wanted to tell Nico about Chronos and his dreams, wanted to tell them about Gaia. He had decided against letting Zeus know, if Percy knew Zeus, and he did, telling him that he spared their most dangerous enemy ever would not go down well with the king of the gods.

He also had brief discussions with Artemis and Thalia, who had been made fully immortal lieutenant of the hunt. Thalia was just as shook up about Annabeth's death, she ended up crying into his shoulder before leaving the celebration with Artemis to return to whatever national park the hunters were camped in. He talked to Hephaestus about Leo and his bravery till the very end. He finished the night as he had started, talking to Frank, Hazel and Piper.

Eventually he made it back to Atlantis with his father, Kymopoleia, Rhodes, Amphitrite and Triton. His room had been changed from when he had left that morning, his clothes were neatly folded in the drawer and pictures from his cabin had been placed on the table near the bed. Now that he was an Olympian, he likely wouldn't be able to spend much time at camp half blood. There wasn't much there for him any more though, Annabeth, Jason and Leo were gone, and all his other friends would likely live on Olympus from now on. One noticeable thing that was new in his room was the letter on his bed. The envelope was a deep black, almost impossibly black, yet when Percy picked it up and turned it the colour changed to a bright white. Written on the front was:

"To Perseus Jackson, Lord of Time." Percy read aloud.

'that's ominous' Percy thought to himself. Quickly using his fingernails to break the wax seal on the back, he opened the letter.

Dear Perseus Jackson

It has come to our attention that you recently have accepted divinity and have become a member of the Olympian council. However, this does not mean that you are unaccountable. We are requesting an audience with you as soon as possible due to your recent actions. You have broken the ancient laws set in place by Ananke in order to preserve the order of fate. This is a serious transgression against the order of the universe, and you will be expected to present a defence.

Regards

The primordial council.

Percy did a double take on that final line.

"What!?" Percy exclaimed. He thought that Chronos would have sorted all of this out by now, he was married to Ananke after all. Would he be killed? He had only just been made an Olympian only to now be executed by the most powerful beings in existence. Percy thought back to the primordials he had met, wondering if he would have any allies among the council.

Chronos would hopefully vouch for him, he seemed to like Percy.

Gaia might, after all he supposedly freed her from her curse.

Nyx definitely would not, he had already had a run in with her in Tartarus and it was safe to say she did not like him and Annabeth intruding in her home.

Tartarus was a big no as well.

Finally, there was that guy who had been there for his first meeting with Chronos, the guy in the collapsible fishing chair, if he was a friend of Chronos he might be on Percy's side.

Of the five Primordials he had met, two hated him, add in this Ananke woman and he might well be screwed. Percy wondered when they would want to meet him, in the letter it had said as soon as possible.

"As soon as possible?" Percy muttered out loud, and it was then that he involuntarily flashed away.

X-=+=-X

Percy found himself in the room he had first met Chronos in, except this time more of the thrones were filled, and by more Percy meant nearly all of them, the main exception was the large black throne in the middle of the circle and the crumbling black throne. In the earthen throne was Gaia, who when she noticed him smiled sweetly, she was wearing a green dress and her hair in a high ponytail, looking incredibly regal. A woman who was sat next to Gaia also noticed him and leaned into Gaia and whispered something in her ear, the lady was sat in the throne that resembled a mountain and was pale with fully white eyes and black hair. The throne made of air had a middle-aged man sitting on it, he was pale and had a white beard, but the most noticeable thing about him was the scars that covered his body, they were all straight lines and seemed to intersect at multiple points across his body, it almost looked as if he had been diced up and put back together. He had not yet noticed Percy. He then saw the man who was there the first time he met Chronos, sitting in his chair, looking intensely at Percy before going back to fashioning a fishing fly in his hands. Then was the red fiery throne, who's occupant was unmistakably Tartarus. Percy was thankful he hadn't clocked him yet. Next to him was the crumbling throne, devoid of an occupant. The other black throne next to that was occupied by a woman who was scowling at Percy. The scowl did not diminish from her beauty however, she had long black going down half of her back and the most piercing eyes Percy had ever seen. She wore a pitch-black dress which clashed with her pale skin, her eyes were the same colour as the dress, except her irises had a white ring around them, separating her pupils from the blackness.

On the two bright white thrones next to the lady were a man and woman holding hands and fawning over each other, the lady was blonde and tanned, wearing a blue sundress while the man was wearing aviator sunglasses and an expensive Italian suit, Percy thought he looked a bit like Apollo, except this man was radiating white light rather than Apollo's more yellow hue. The next throne, the one covered in hearts was being occupied by a handsome man, a very handsome man. He was on a phone swiping constantly; he wore all pink and had a bow by his side. The penultimate throne was oozing mist and its occupant was giving him the worst look of all. It was an seventy-something woman who wore a cardigan, fairy obviously handmade. She also held a long scroll in her hand, occasionally rapping it against her knee before returning to sneer at Percy. Finally, Percy's eyes settled on Chronos who flashed the new god a grin. Percy gave him a clearly unhappy look, clearly wanting to know what was going on.

Percy opened his mouth to speak to Chronos, who when he saw Percy preparing to talk looked panicked and quicky put a finger to his lips, ushering Percy to be silent. Percy was getting angry now, Chronos had been messing with him for weeks now and he was still none the wiser as to the reason why.

The old lady in the cardigan looked suspiciously at Chronos for a second, who quickly turned to her and grinned. The lady turned back to Percy and cleared her throat, which caused silence to fall upon the room.

"Perseus Jackson, how nice of you to join us!" The old lady said sarcastically, for a lady who looked like a sweet old granny on the exterior, she had a bit of an attitude. "I am Ananke, primordial of fate and compulsion. You have broken my ancient laws and are here to answer for your crimes."

"Okay… about these crimes, I think it's a bit unfair that I'm being punished for a crime I'm yet to do!" Percy protested; Ananke looked unimpressed.

"You are the lord of time, surely there is no 'yet' for you, you can move through time can you not?" asked the lady next to Gaia, the one with the mountainous throne. She had a soft voice that was more inquisitive than accusatory.

"I'm sorry Lady…?" Percy asked before responding, realising he did not know the names of three quarters of the room.

"Ourea" She answered, "Primordial of mountains."

"Right, Lady Ourea, forgive me. To answer your question, I don't know!" Percy shrugged, Ourea looked confused.

"You mean to claim that you don't know your own powers?" The man in the Italian suit added. "Aether, by the way." Percy was thankful for the introduction and nodded in response to his question.

"The only thing I can do is slow down time, and that's only because Chro…" Percy started, he was however interrupted by Chronos, who fell into a loud coughing fit, subtly putting his fingers against his lips again, he clearly didn't want the others knowing that they had met before. This caused Ananke to look at her husband suspiciously again. The man who had been there for Percy and Chronos' first meeting looked at Chronos as well, rolling his eyes, clearly used to the old primordial's antics.

"You lie!" Sneered the Lady in the black dress. "You are a devious little brat! You only cause trouble, you break into my house, you break the ancient rules, what next!" she continued.

'break into my house?' Percy thought, then it hit him, this must be Nyx.

"With all due respect Lady Nyx, I was trying to survive and close the doors of death, the only way to do that was a mild bit of trespassing! And I'm not lying!" Percy rebutted.

"Argh, you are lying little vagrant!" Nyx shouted frustrated; Percy had no clue she had taken the intrusion so personally.

"Oh, give it a rest Nyx! The boy did what he had too." Shouted the man on the throne made of air. Percy wasn't sure how he felt being called a boy now that he was an Olympian, but he didn't intend on correcting the man, he was still seventeen after all.

"Shut it Ouranos, dickless bastard!" Tartarus heckled the primordial of the sky.

The whole room erupted into fighting and squabbling, mostly between Ouranos and Tartarus. The lady next to Aether piped up, which caused the room to quiet down a bit.

"Please stop fighting!" She pleaded with the room. There was a brief silence before the arguing started again, more intense this time. The lady sighed and slumped back into her throne. It was now that Gaia started to get involved. She looked over at the man in the fishing chair, their eyes did all the talking and he nodded briefly.

Two large bursts of water came up through the floor and blasted Tartarus and Ouranos with water, this stopped all the fighting and they both turned their heads to the fisherman. He paid them no attention though and pulled a tin of sardines out of his pocket, cracked the lid and started eating them.

"Thank you, Pontus." Gaia stated. So that is who he was, it explained his control over water and how he had kept him from being found by Poseidon when he had 'killed' Gaia. "I personally believe Percy, the man who froze Porphyrion was clearly older than Percy now, there is no way that he could have done that yet. I'm sure Chronos can check on whether Percy manipulated time, can't you?" Gaia asked the primordial of time, who was currently staring into space. "Chronos!" she yelped, getting his attention.

"Oh, yes! I supposed I could." Chronos's eyes swirled for a second before he responded. "Nope… no interference yet."

Ananke seemed incredibly annoyed at this.

"It doesn't matter whether he has done it, all we know is that he is GOING to do it!" Ananke said frustrated. "I spent ages making those laws, I'm not letting some temporal technicality get in the way of justice."

"Hey! What is this minority report shit!" Percy argued, Ananke glared at him. "Sorry… but you can't punish me for a crime I haven't done yet!"

"I can and I will!" Ananke shot back. "I want him imprisoned for at least three centuries!"

"Hold on, give the kid a break, he hasn't even done anything yet and you want to punish him that severely! If anything, we should be thanking him, if he hadn't stepped in then Gaia would still be under her curse!" The man on the pink throne objected. "I'm Eros by the way, big fan!" The primordial responded.

"I agree, that is too much." The lady who had tried to break up the fighting earlier responded. "Hi sweetie, I'm Hemera!" She smiled at Percy, who could not help but smile back at her, her happiness was almost infectious.

"I think so too. I am glad to be free of my curse, I owe a great deal to Perseus." Gaia chimed in. Percy still had hostile feelings toward her, he was not sure they would ever leave him, but he was at least relieved that she was not trying to kill him still.

"Me too." Pontus said.

"Fuck the little brat, I say give him a millennia." Tartarus spoke. Percy really didn't like him.

"I agree, he is a nuisance!" Nyx added.

"Ourea, Ouranos, Aether?" Ananke asked the opinion of the three silent council members.

"I don't think he should go unpunished, but your proposal is too harsh." Ourea responded, Ouranos and Aether echoed the sentiment.

Percy let out a sigh of relief, he had a clear majority against the three-century punishment.

"Chronos?" Ananke asked exasperated.

"I have to disagree with you dear, that's too much." Ananke scowled, clearly upset.

"He isn't just getting away with it, we can't allow exceptions like that!" Ananke argued to the council.

"How about we compromise then, Percy can offer you a boon!" Chronos exclaimed. What was a boon? Percy felt like he might have heard it somewhere before.

"Umm… what's a boon?" Percy inquired.

"A favour, from you Perseus, to Ananke." Gaia answered. "She can ask anything of you, and you must complete it."

Percy gulped.

"Fine I will accept a boon from Perseus, I will need some time to think of what I want." Ananke replied, a sly grin passing over her face. "I'll send a letter. Goodbye Perseus, I hope we never meet again, somehow I find that unlikely."

Percy was flashed away and found himself standing by his bed, where he had been when he read the letter. It had been an eventful day and Percy didn't have the energy to contemplate it all right now. He didn't bother changing his clothes and flopped down on his bed, asleep.

Thanks for reading guys, I think I have a pairing in mind for the story but that is subject to change so I will not reveal it at the moment. Like always all feedback is appreciated. I'm very glad I got this out before 2021.

Cheers and a happy new year!
