Hey, Dark Gothic Lolita here!

So it has been a little while since I last posted up a oneshot and I thought that today would be a good day to end the year with one! Because of Rokushimo, Thursdays is the new Navia day! I wasn't joking when I said I'm gonna start posting all my Navia stories on Thursdays. I find it so fitting that this is the last day of the year and this is my final oneshot for the year! It's been crazy!

Please excuse my poor grammar and spelling and know that I definitely don't own Fairy Tail!

Swim

Oneshot

Tanned fingers ran up and down porcelain skin slowly and sensually. He could feel goosebumps raise at his touch, the slight hitch in her breath as she sighed and leaned back further into his hold. His other hand was wrapped carefully around her waist, holding her to him so that she couldn't leave. Not like she would want to anyway.

It was the quiet times like this that he truly appreciated. They weren't on separate jobs, they weren't surrounded by their friends who would have never seen this coming. It was just them. Just the two of them in the peace and quiet, away from the crazy of their guild. He knew if his team caught him like this, there would be nothing but interrogations and noise. Noise that they both couldn't be bothered to deal with.

He bent his head forward and lightly bit on the ear of the beautiful girl in his arms. A girl that if you had told him a year ago was to be his mate, he would have walked away laughing. He had always thought that Lucy was his mate, that she was his everything. They had gone through thick and thin together, having been partners from day one together. It would have made more sense if Lucy was his mate and he wouldn't have been surprised if she was. He knew that everyone else wouldn't have been surprised if he had said that they were mates.

But something clicked more with the water mage. There was an attraction that they found themselves unable to ignore. Natsu himself found himself in a metaphoric ocean when he was around Juvia. She made him feel an indescribable amount of heat and he wanted more of it. As a fire dragon slayer, he was already used to heat, but Juvia brought on something more. He wanted to bathe in all of it, get to know her more. Her gravity pulled him in.

The girl giggled at her mate's behaviour and he watched her arm that he wasn't running his fingers on reach up backwards and it landed in his hair, running her hands gently through his scalp. He practically purred at her softness, knowing exactly what he likes and how he likes it. He tilted his head even more towards her hand, while his own hand slid down to clutch her other one.

Their fingers intertwined immediately. He felt his mate's hand squeeze his tightly and he squeezed it back gently, reassuring her that this is indeed real. He was the same. He would have never believed this for one second if he didn't spend every waking day meeting up with the girl of his dreams smiling at him. He would have never imagined that he would be in a hammock with Juvia, enjoying the summer breeze. However, he wasn't complaining at all.

"Does Natsu-kun think that the others might be suspecting something?"

It was a little game of theirs. While they hadn't exactly told anyone of their business (Happy included), they weren't trying all that hard to keep it a secret as well. They wanted to see how long they could go without anyone realising. Saying that though, Laxus, Wendy and Gajeel might know something was up by their scent. He knew that they were waiting for them to say something as it wasn't their place to say anything.

"Probably only the other dragon slayers. The others are too stupid to realise."

Juvia turned her head slightly in disapproval. A frown decorated her lips lightly as she had a disappointed look in her eyes. "Natsu-sama shouldn't be so rude about them all behind their backs. It's not their fault that we haven't broadcasted our relationship. Juvia knows that we are an unsuspecting couple."

He chuckled as he kissed her temple as a form of an apology. "I'm nice to you."

He bent his head forehead once again and dragged his tongue down her neck as she gasped at the contact, a tingle being sent down her spine. She let out a low moan when he found her pulse that was beating for him and he latched on, sucking it. He smirked at the noise, her hand squeezing his. He had a very big habit of leaving her neck decorated with love bites. It was in his nature as a dragon slayer to be possessive and Juvia loved it. He was so lucky to have a girl who was just as possessive as him.

"W-while Natsu-sama is nice to Juvia, h-he isn't being very nice n-now!"

Natsu chuckled at her, pulling back slowly. He was still close enough that his breath hit her neck. She shivered slightly from the contact, but she couldn't help but smile. She may have been complaining, but she didn't mean any of it.

"You want me to stop?" He whispered softly into her ear. His nose grazed her as he nuzzled into her lightly.

She sighed, bringing his head back towards her neck. "Natsu-sama shouldn't dare to stop."

He obeyed her command, loving the fact that she was drawing him in. They were swinging on his hammock, enjoying the warm weather together, wrapped up in each other's arms. It was days like this that they enjoyed, because they didn't get to have many days like this. Juvia refused to join Natsu's team because she didn't want to seem too clingy with him. She wanted them to work with their same teams so that they could come to enjoy each other's company more whenever they were able to come together.

Natsu hated it, but he came to a compromise with her and he even came to appreciate the situation a bit more. He would never admit that maybe she was right about it.

"I love you."

Natsu could always feel Juvia's body heat increase whenever those words passed his lips. She grew hotter and hotter, to the point where her skin would slowly turn from milky cream to rosey red. It was always beautiful to watch. It always made him laugh. He also felt giddy at the amount of joy her reaction gave him. It was great to know that the feeling was mutual.

She turned her head to face him, her eyes captivating him. They always shone like aquamarine and always reminded him of the ocean, of her magic. They stared at no one but him with a certain level of softness. He didn't know if it was obvious to her that he was enamoured by her, but he always told her whenever they were alone that he loved her.

"Juvia loves Natsu-sama too. Juvia loves Natsu-sama so much."

Natsu remembered the first time he had blurted out that he loved her. She cried. No one had told her they loved her, she was always the one giving her heart out and receiving nothing in return. She hadn't believed him for the better part of five minutes before Natsu had opened his arms and held her tightly, telling her to listen to his heartbeat. Both their hearts were beating in sync and that was enough to convince her that he was telling her the truth.

Natsu's hand snuck under her chin, raising her head. They bumped noses softly as Juvia giggled a little bit. She turned her body slightly, preparing for the kiss. Natsu wasn't sure if he would ever admit it, but Juvia gave him butterflies. They thumped against his stomach as he turned his head and made contact with her lips.

She always tasted of raspberry lip gloss. He knew she wore it for him as he had made an off handed comment about how her lips were always delicious. He had seen later that day that she had bought many of the same flavour lip glosses. His heart was fully knowing that she listened to him and actually took him seriously.

The hammock rocked a little harder underneath them as they grew more passionate, the heat swirling around them. Natsu slipped his mate under his body as she opened her legs so that he could lay between them.

The hammock was in full swing now, but they paid no attention. They were no longer aware of the world around them, for they were each other's world. Natsu was plunged further into her ocean. She was captivating, almost like a siren. Her beauty, her kindness, her loyalty, her love. Natsu couldn't get enough of her.

He placed one hand on her cheek as he pulled away from her slowly. He laughed when Juvia leaned her head up, not ready to let him go. She pouted when he was finally able to move back, but it didn't last long as she was gasping when he latched back onto her neck, marking his territory for all the other men to see. She was no longer available. She was his and he was hers. In all honesty, he was ready for everyone to realise that they were together. Enough of the secrets, he wanted to be able to hold his girl's hand or blow off his team to spend more time with her without having to give them a stupid excuse.

"Isn't this what you wanted?"

"Yes," she let out breathlessly.

Natsu sucked lightly on the mate mark that he had given her the first time they had mated with one another. Being a dragon slayer, he was ready to make love to her the moment her found out that she was his mate, but he waited for her. He didn't want to rush her into something she didn't want. The dragon side of him may be selfish, but he wasn't. It was all worth it in the end. He took her to heaven's gates time and time again.

Her hands ran through his hair softly, her legs wrapped around his waist perfectly. They fit like two pieces of a puzzle. They stared at each other and Natsu smiled softly at his mate as she rubbed her thumb over his cheeks gently. She bit her bottom lip and Natsu couldn't help but growl lowly at her being so enticing which made her moan a little bit at how dominant he was.

"So Juvia noticed that Natsu-sama bought a new hammock here..."

He smirked at her, knowing instantly where this conversation was going.

"Yeah, it is. What's up?"

"Juvia was wondering if maybe we should break it in?"

His hand squeezed her waist as he nipped at her bottom lip gently. He felt as she practically melted in his arms and his love for her just grew as he smirked at her.

"You read my mind."

So how was that oneshot? Did you like it? Do you think it was worthy of being the final oneshot of the year? I really do hope so haha. As you can see, this is actually a songfic. The song is called Swim by Chase Atlantic. I've been obsessed with this group all year despite this song being like 3 years old. They made it into my top 5 on Spotify haha. But every time I listen to this song, I literally just think of Natsu and Juvia together!

But guys, this year has been a very wild one. However, I also do believe that this was the year that I've updated the most amount of stories since my first 3 years on the sight I believe. I'm not too sure, I've lost count. I do know that I currently have 27 different chapters lined up in my doc manager and everything is from this year. So as far as fanfiction goes, this was a very successful year for me!

Next year, I have some crazy things I want to do with my life. Things that I don't know if they'll work out, but hey. I need to try it while I'm still young enough to do so. I want to make sure I have no regrets in life. Next year is also going to mark 10 years of me writing on this site, so I'm trying to come up with a very big story, kind of like my 5 years and counting story that I did at the 5 year mark. I hope I can come up with something in time, my 10 year anniversary is in April. I've got 4 freaking months!

But thank you so much for joining me on my writing journey. I see familiar names and it makes my heart flutter at the fact that you guys have really been following me on this journey, even when I didn't upload for a year (2018-2019 was very rough on me and I literally did NOT update or upload anything until the 22nd December 2019), but you were still there, waiting. I've seen some new names and made new friends that I speak to regularly and we cheer each other on. It's great. I love you guys all so much.
