Suzaku sits on his bed silenced, shocked as if that his heart would stop.

Suzaku: How could this be?

Cornelia checks the inside of the coffin and noticed scratch marks on the inside.

Cornelia: How can this be possible!?

Horai Island - MISSION ROOM - DAY

The UFN members gathers round for the war council. Nunnally comes to the center.

Nunnally: My fellow people, it is a time of desperate. It is time for chance to intervene. Time you saw something of the world. Time to know the terrors of the dark and look on death. Time your eyes were opened to grim reality.

Kallen is dressing up for the ocassion, for her own mission.

Kallen: Answer me, Suzaku! Was this his plan?

UFN Meeting

Korean Ambassador: Weapons of Mass Destruction. My People Believe a lasting peace can only be achieved by eliminating this war.

Tohdoh: Nonsense! Those weapons are our only defense against aggression.

Korean Ambassador: Is this your official position?

Kaguya: No. General Tohdoh does not speak for our government.

Tohdoh: But, Chairwoman Sumeragi, only a fool would-

Kaguya: General, when I was the young head mistress of the Kyoto House, I survived an experience which profoundly changed my life. On our small country island, i could see that our world was greater than anyone else's. And if we want to survive this war, we will have to cooperate.

German Ambassador: Cooperate!? How could a mere child run the UFN like this?

Tohdoh: Are you speaking this outrage to the Lady Sumeragi?

German Ambassador: Me?! I am an exiled member of the United States of Germany, given away from this bitter outer republic of outcasts.

Kaguya: Gentlemen! Are we finish?

Ohgi: A secret conference?

Nunnally: The leaders of Europe are to meet secretly in Venice. I am to go there to pursue them for an alliance.

A knock on the door.

Ohgi: Who is it?

The door opens.

Agent: I represent the Australian government.

Nunnally: Australian government?

Agent: May I come in?

Nunnally: Of course, sir.

Agent: Thank you, your ladyness.

Agent: I understand your destination is Venice, and you've been delayed. What if we could get you there, but by a roundabout route, by the Ikaruga.

Nunnally: Yes.

Ohgi: Meanwhile, the Black Knights will investigate this 'sea monster' business.

Rivalz Cardemonde's House

Rivalz: I'm gonna see zero myself.

So he tookoff, and heads for the airfield, and stows away.

Zero's words: We headed south, and excitement ran high. Every man aboard was on the lookout, and the watch was kept day and night. Regardless of his own feelings in the matter, I left nothing to chance. With traditional thoroughness, the Black Knights plan was to cut the South Pacific into squares and search each square.

Rivalzs sneaks through out the ship, looking for food.

Rivalz: How am i ever going to find Nunnally in this place?

He sneeks around and saw someone coming. He ran into the showers to hide. Then he heard running water from the showers. He peeked and saw Ayano. He turned back and hid back in the locker room.

Rivalz: What a pretty girl.

But then, the locker room door opened up, which was a surprise for Ayano. She screams as a perverting man was looking at her.

Rivalz: (startled) Wait! This is not what it looks like.

Ikaruga's Bridge

Minami: I don't know how you got here, but I am not going to let a student sneak around here as a spy.

Rivalz: You're wrong! I'm no spy. I want to see Zero.

Minami: You'll see him when we land. Put him in the brig.

Zero's room

Suzaku: Did I make you wait, Lady?

Nunnally: It's being a long time, Zero. Or should I call you Suzaku?

Suzaku: Maybe it's best to call me Zero.

Nunnally: Sorry.

Suzaku: What is it you want to talk about?

Nunnally: About my big brother. Why him? Was it for Euphie?

Suzaku: Do you have to talk about him?!

Chiba knocks on the door.

Chiba: Zero?

Zero: Come in.

Chiba walks in.

Chiba: Could you come to the brig.

Zero walk towards the brig where Rivalz shouts out.

Rivalz: You know who I am? I'm President of the Student Council in Ashford Academy.

Zero walks in.

Rivalz: Zero?

Zero's room

Rivalz: Nunnally!

Nunnally: Rivalz?

Rivalz: Save me from these people!

Ikaruga's Bridge

Pilot: Britannian Destroyer below, sir!

The Destroyer mysteriously explodes.

Minami: Set us down! Head for that ship!

The airship sets down in the ocean, picks up few survivors, and then heads for the sinking ship.

BK Solider: I'm thinking she went down with all hands.

Tohdou: Poor devils. Not a living soul left. What could have caused such an fearsome explosion?

BK Solider: Black powder and worse. A whole shipload of the stuff.

Ryo: What could have set it off, though? She must have struck something.

Tohdou: Or could it be that something struck the ship?

Ryo: What do you mean something struck her?

BK Solider 2: You meaning the monster, ain't ya, mate?

BK Solider 3: Aye! It might be the monster.

Ryo: Monster? I've seen more monsters in my Aunt Gussie's fishbowl than on this whole cruise.

BK Solider: Sure, it's the monster!

BK Solider 2: It is the monster!

The alarm ring out.

Dispatcher(Loudspeaker): "General Quarters, General Quarters, man your battlestations; this is not a drill, all hands to General Quarters.

Tohdou turns to his group.

Tohdou: Alright folks! Suit up and meet me in the hanger.

Chiba, Ryo, Yukiya, and Ayano changes into their suits and goes towards the hanger. Tohdoh with his Zangetsu. Chiba in her Akatsuki. And Ryo, Yukiya, and Ayano in their Alexander Type-02s. On the surface, they could see a green-eyed floating object sailing away, and they open fire. Nunnally goes on deck while wearing a lifejacket. Rivalz stands by her side while pushing her wheelchair.

Yukiya in his Alexander Type-02 aims at the beast.

Yukiya: Let me make this shot count!

He fires his sniper rifle, and it hits the beast. The monster then turns around.

Yukiya: We hit her, sir! She's turning!

Ryo: She's turning around!

The monster heads straight towards the airship. Zero appears in the Lancelot. The airship continues firing at the upcoming monster.

Minami: Take us up!

F/O: we're trying sir.

As the airship was pulling up from the water, the monster strikes the ship. The violent jolt knocks Tohdoh, Chiba, Ryo, Yukiya, and Ayano overboard into the sea. Nunnally is thrown into the sea.

Rivalz: Nunnally! Hang on! Hang on!

Rivalz then jumps into the water.

Suzaku: Nunnally!

Suzaku then jumps right in after them.

Rivalz helps Nunnally to keep her head above water. The Lancelot floats along to hold them above water. Rivalz notices the airship rising from the water.

Rivalz: Hey, don't leave us! Help! Help! Help!

Suzaku: Their radio's disabled. They cannot help.

Rivalz: But they must! Help! Help! Help!

They all watch as the airship flies away in the air.

An hour later...

The Lancelot floats into a fog holding Rivalz and Nunnally in its arms.

Suzaku: Can you see anything, anything at all?

Rivalz: No. Wait till this fog lifts.

Nunnally: I'm getting numb all over.

Rivalz spots something in the fog.

Rivalz: Look Suzaku. There's something over there.

The fog clears away.

Nunnally: What is it?

Rivalz: I don't know. It looks like the monster.

Suzaku: I don't care what it is, as long as it floats.

They soon swim towards it, the Lancelot touches the skin of the monster.

Suzaku: it's metal.

They climbed aboard. Soon, he set both his friends down, and exits the Lancelot.

Nunnally: Who could have conceived such a miracle? A submarine boat.

Rivalz: You mean a submerging boat? This is incredible.

Suzaku: Men have dreamed about such miracles.

Rivalz: You know something? I don't like this at all.

Suzaku: Ahoy! Is anyone aboard? It... It seems deserted.

Rivalz: I think we are asking for trouble, Suzaku. Why don't we wait? Maybe somebody will come up.

Suzaku: No. If we wait, this thing is liable to sink under us. It's quite able to, you know.

As they enter a opened hatch, they walked into a chartroom.

Suzaku: Hello. Is anyone down there?

It seems quiet.

Rivalz: Why, it's as bright as day. And it isn't oil or gas either.

Suzaku: There is great genius behind all this.

Rivalz: Yes, and great evil. Don't forget this is an engine of destruction.

Rivalz peeks through a deck corridor.

Rivalz: Hello. Hello. Ahoy! Anybody there?

Then, some shouting came from outside.

Ryo: Ahoy, there! Is anybody aboard?

Rivalz: Did you hear that, Suzaku. Somebody's calling from the outside. - Come on.

Suzaku: Wait!

Suzaku walk into a salon.

Rivalz walks outside on deck, and saw five knightmare frames floating towards the submarine.

Tohdou: Give me a hand with this line, kid.

Tohdou's Zangetsu throws a big line at the ship.

Tohdou: Grab that line and tie it.

Rivalz: Why, it's you guys.

Tohdoh, Chiba, Ryo, Yukiya, and Ayano climbs aboard.

Nunnally: General Tohdoh.

Chiba: Anybody else get off?

Rivalz: Yes, Suzaku is down below.

Ryo: Well, he really got his monster, didn't he?

Rivalz: This ship seems deserted, but I have a feeling not for too long. Personally, I'm in no mood to meet the owners.

Tohdou: I'm not anxious to get in their company myself. I'll take my chances in the open sea.

Rivalz: My sentiment exactly.

Suzaku looks around the salon and saw a salon viewport.

Rivalz, Ryo, and Yukiya looks down below deck and saw the galley.

Ryo: Hey, this looks like the galley.

They looked inside.

Yukiya: Cook's day off, too.

Rivalz: Let me call Suzaku.

Rivalz goes looking around.

Rivalz: Suzaku. Suzaku (echoing). Can you hear me? Suzaku. Suzaku. Suzaku. Suzaku.

He the walks into the salon.

Rivalz: Suzaku, where are you?

Suzaku: Hello. I'm in here.

Rivalz: Where?

He saw Suzaku at the salon viewport.

Rivalz: I didn't think I'd ever see you again. What is it?

Suzaku: Burial ceremony under the sea.

They both watch a strange underwater funeral procession.

Rivalz: Tohdou and his gang are here, waiting for us.

Suzaku: Yes. That tall one must be the leader.

Rivalz: They'll be coming back any moment.

They try to leave, but the tall scuba diver spots them, and orders his men after them. The alarm rang out. The group ran back to their knightmare frames and try to make a break for it, but some 3-armed knightmare frames pops out of the hull, and attacks them.

In the diving room, the tall man comes out of the diving suit, wear a tall beard.

Nemo: Search the frames.

First Mate: Aye, sir. Come with me.

The First Mate and men hold Nunnally hostage.

First Mate: You're surrounded. Give yourselves up and no harm can come to this girl.

Suzaku: We have no choice!

First Mate: Take their knightmare frames below deck.

They surrendered and are taken to the chartroom.

Ryo: Mind your shovin', mate.

Then, the tall bearded man walks inside.

Nemo: Are you from the airship that attacked me, are you not?

Suzaku: Yes! We were under the impression that this was a monster, not a craft of human invention. This is my master, Kyoshiro Tohdoh, Captain Nagisa Chiba, Ayano Kosaka, Yukiya Naruse, Ryo Sayama, Rivalz Cardemonde, The Empress of Britannia, and i'm Zero. Or I was known as Suzaku Kururugi.

Nemo: Suzaku Kururugi, or Knight of Zero. I've heard of you and thought you were dead. It is fortunate that your background differs slightly from that of your companions in crime. You and the young girl may remain. Take the others on deck. Take the girl to the bridge.

The crew drag the others up on deck.

Ryo: Wait a minute. What are you gonna do with us on deck?

Nemo: I did not invite you. You came as an enemy to destroy me.

Suzaku: That is not true. They've done no harm.

Tohdou: Don't blame us because the airship shelled you.

Rivalz: I demand a fair trial.

Nemo: You've had your trial. The sea brought you. The sea shall have you back

Ryo: Mind your shovin'! Easy, mate!

Suzaku: But you cannot do this. This is not civilized.

Nemo: I'm not what is called a civilised man, Zero. I have done with society for reasons that seem good to me. Therefore, I do not obey its laws.

Suzaku: But I am as guilty as they are. I will grant you that all of them and me, too, enlisted to track down what we thought to be a monster.

Suzaku follows Nemo to the salon.

Nemo: But we are no more guilty than the rest of the world. I would consider that guilty enough. You have a great deal to learn, Zero. You've carried your work as far as terrestrial science permits. The real story of the ocean depths begins where you left off, wonders that defy my powers of description. The secrets that are mine alone, but which I would be willing to share with you.

Suzaku: At the expense of my companions' lives?

Nemo: I'm sorry. You'd have to choose between them and me.

Suzaku: Then I cannot accept.

Nemo: Zero, I regret your choice. Take him up! And secure for sea.

First Mate: Aye, sir.

The First Mate take him up deck. Nemo walks up to the bridge.

Nemo: All stations ready! Prepare for diving.

First Mate: Yes, sir. All stations ready. Prepare for diving.

Nemo: Ahead slow.

Ryo: What's he up to, Zero?

Suzaku: I don't know.

Nemo watches with Nunnally on the camera.

Nemo: Trim your forward ballast. Three degrees down.

Nunnally: No!

The submarine begins to dive under the water with the group, trying to hold on.

Nemo: All engines stop! Surface and stand by.

After it stopped, Ryo And Yukiya are the only ones holding on, while the others are in the water.

Nemo: Pick up those five in the water.

First Mate: What about the other two?

Nemo: Take them all below and confine them to quarters. I found out what I wanted to know.

Nunnally: You've being testing us.
