Hey so this is my first Tenry story so don't judge

i rlly hope y'all like it :

This takes place when Meredith talks to Teddy in the park.

also, just some things you should know:

•Henry died 7 years ago

•They adopted a boy, Titus who is now 7 years old and they have a son, Henry, who is 6 years old.

•Teddy gave birth to him a few months after he died, she was already in Germany then.

•She is also not pregnant with allison. She came to Seattle to win Owen back but she's second guessing her decision.

Teddy was sitting on the park bench when she recieved a message from Meredith.

Meredith: Need to talk. Urgent. Call me.

Then Teddy replied: Time difference. Stepping into a dinner.

Meredith: By the slides or by the swings?

Teddy looked back and saw Meredith making her way to the bench.

"How'd you find me?" Teddy asked

"You used to ask Cristina to get you coffee here every morning" She replied with a smirk.

"Come with me" Meredith said while standing up. And Teddy followed. They went into Merediths car and made their way to her house.

"So, tell me, why are you here? I know about Owen, I know he went to visit you in Germany. You were here a few weeks ago. Why haven't you left?" Meredith asked. Teddy knows she's Amelia's sister and that she'll take her sisters side always. Teddy literally has no friends here, Arizona left, Mark's dead, Cristina's in Zurich.

"Look, Teddy, if you have a problem with Owen and Amelia-"

"I don't. I used to. But now I don't" Teddy cut her off.

"Then tell me"

"When Owen came to visit me in Germany, I felt as if the universe was finally on my side. And that I couldn't ask for anything more."

"Im sensing a 'but'" Meredith said.

"But, Owen he- he's always been like this. With Beth, with Cristina, and now with Amelia. He's scared of being alone. I said some really awful things to him that night and it felt like I had lost my best friend. So I came here to patch things up. And then I saw him with Amelia and their son, and I don't want to ruin that" Teddy had glassy eyes. Tears threatening to roll down. Meredith felt for her, she really did, I mean her situation is really tough.

"Teddy if you love him don't you think you should give it a go? I mean he and Amelia aren't really together right now I mean it's not too late" Meredith said.

"But thats the thing though, I already had my one great love, and I know you know how that feels. When I married Henry, I was seeing other men, mainly because I wanted to settle down as soon as possible. I wanted the kids and you know everything. There was this guy Andrew, he invited me to live in Germany with him, and I was going to, I mean we had everything ready, the tickets, my job, the house, everything. Then I went to visit Henry one last time, and he told me that he loved me and to get out because he couldn't handle seeing me leave. That was when I realized that what I had been looking for has always been right in front of me. Marrying him was the best decision I've ever made and it made me so happy. If I had settled for Andrew I wouldn't have 2 wonderful sons right now." Teddy was crying, and Meredith knows how losing a husband feels like, how painful it is and how it can mess with you.

"You have another one?!?" Meredith was shocked, She knew they adopted Titus a year before henry died but she didn't know there was another one.

"Yeah, his name is Henry, I found out after Henry died, I didn't even get to tell him" Now this, Meredith is familiar with.

"Well, if it helps I also had a secret baby when Derek died." they both chuckled.

"They were taken from us too soon. You know, sometimes Titus would crawl into my bed in the middle of the night and ask me to tell stories about his dad, and then he would tell Henry, because he didn't get to meet him. Henry was such a great father. Maybe that's why I couldn't stay with Owen, because everytime I try to get in a relationship, I keep on expecting them to be Henry. I don't think someone will ever love me more than him." Teddy was sad, but she knew that Meredith knows how she feels.

"You'll never find anyone better than Henry. No matter how many dates you go to, he'll always be the love of your life" Meredith said.

"I know"
