Disclaimer: I don't own a lot of things. I don't own Harry Potter, because the amazing JK Rowling does, and I also don't own Ariana Grande's song "Moonlight."

Just a cute Harry/Ginny one-shot. Enjoy.

The Moonlight

Harry Potter groaned. He opened his eyes and looked at the muggle alarm clock.

It read 3:23 AM.

Harry had no idea why he woke up at this time. He rolled over and felt for his glasses on the nightstand. When he found them he put them on his face and looked around.

His wife, Ginny Weasley, wasn't in bed.

At first, Harry panicked. He sat up faster than ever and took his wand next to the alarm clock.

"Lumos," he muttered.

He looked around and found a note in his wand light on her side of the bed. He immediately recognized his wife's handwriting from the light. Harry relaxed a little and picked it up. It read:

Harry,

Don't worry about me.

If you want to find me, I'll be outside on the rock.

I know sometimes you wake up at random times, so since I left and predicted you might wake up randomly, I charmed this note to appear at the time you woke up, just in case.

Or, if I'm back in bed before you see this, this note will never appear.

Or go back to sleep, Mister.

Love, Ginny

Harry smiled. His wife knew him too well.

Harry climbed out of bed. After that, he couldn't exactly go back to sleep. He walked down the stairs and got a glass of water before grabbing his jacket.

Flashback

"Ok, Gin, cover your eyes," Harry told her, slowly guiding her to the garden of The Burrow.

"Harry, what are you doing?" asked Ginny, her hands over her eyes. Maybe Harry wouldn't notice if she took a tiny peek of what he was doing…

"Obscuro," Harry said. "No peeking, Miss Weasley." He put an arm around her waist and then they were gone in a POP!

Harry had still never gotten used to the ways of Apparition, so of course when they arrived at their destination, he fell flat on his face, taking Ginny with him.

"Harry!" Ginny giggled, rolling over. "Will you please warn a lady if you're going to Apparate straight to the ground?"

"That wasn't exactly my intended goal," he muttered, standing up. He brushed the dirt off his jeans. Ginny also got up and balanced herself, still blindfolded. She smelled the air of the ocean and pebbles underneath her toes, for she was wearing flip flops.

"Harry, where are we?" she asked curiously.

"Mmmm...ok, now you can take your blindfold off." Harry replied.

Ginny slowly took her blindfold off.

She gasped.

"It's… it's beautiful."

The view was beautiful, indeed. Harry had apparated them to Cornwall, which was a beach on the coast of England. He had decided that he and Ginny should live there for some very special reasons. Harry had done some research on Ginny and went to her family and friends at Hogwarts and home. He asked them questions about what his girlfriend really likes and wanted to do. He learned that Ginny loved the beach, the ocean, quiet places, and also learned that Bill was her favorite brother. Since Bill and his wife, Fleur, already lived near the beach, he decided to build their new home there, where Ginny could see Bill all she'd like. And, since Fleur recently announced that she was pregnant, Harry figured that she could play with her niece all she'd like.

Harry led her over to a rock and sat them both down. He pointed to a patch of tall grass down below, for they were on the high cliff, above the beach.

"That's where we're going to live, love," he murmured against her long mane of auburn hair, which was whipping against the wind.

"I love it," she said, as Harry pulled her tight against him. "I love it so much."

Harry walked outside and shut the door behind him. The breeze this night was light, which Harry highly enjoyed. He apparated up to the cliff above with a POP!

There, on that same rock that they sat on together the first time they came to their new home destination 2 years ago, sat his wife.

The breeze made her messy auburn curls flow with the wind, her nightgown flapping quietly. There was a bright full moon tonight, and even though Ginny wasn't facing Harry, he could practically see her glowing. From an earshot distance, Harry could hear her singing to herself.

"'Cause I never knew, I never knew, you could hold moonlight in your hands, 'til the night I held you, you are my moonlight," Ginny sang softly. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and stared at the moon with great interest.

Harry grinned and walked over to her. He sat down beside her on the rock and looked up at the moon, then turned to gaze at her.

She was gazing right back, her brown eyes sparkling. Ginny smiled warmly at him and continued singing softly.

"He knows just what it does, when he's holding me tight, and he calls me 'Moonlight' too," she finished. Ginny pressed her forehead against Harry's.

Harry's eyes were filled with happiness, for he couldn't ask for anything more.

"I love you," he whispered, smiling.

"I love you too," she whispered back.

Harry leaned in and their lips softly met. He caught a whiff of her sweet scent as he pulled apart, and then tucked a strand of Weasley-red hair behind her ear. He pulled her from her waist, close to him. Ginny rested her head on his chest.

And the moonlight shone down on them, making the couple…

glow.

A/N: Well, that's about it. The song Ginny sang was "Moonlight," by Ariana Grande. This is my first one-shot, so please review if you have any feedback for me. Have a wonderful day.

"You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, and live like it's heaven on earth."
