A/N: And finally Regulus! He's a real sweetheart in my opinion. Also, I'm not entirely sure how the First Wizadring World is supposed to go in canon, so just accept my interpretation.

"I don't want a lot for Yule," warbles Celestina Warbeck, "There is just one thing I need."

I don't care about the presents, underneath the Yuletide tree, Regulus completes in his head.

He's heard the song so many times now, he can sing it off by heart, from top to bottom, bottom to top and in pig latin. His tutor, Miss Gentlebee, is a fan and the radio has been playing it non-stop since December 1st. He's quite sick of it now, but he doesn't say anything when Cissy turns the radio on in the Nursery.

They've been sent to the room for the children, while Mother, Father, Aunt and Uncle discuss adult things in the drawing room. Bella disappeared soon after they came, claiming she had some important business to attend to. Uncle frowned but didn't say a word. Sirius tried to ask a question about where she was going, but Bella shot him a deathly glare, so he shut up. Regulus was curious too, but he knew better than Sirius.

Cissy is sitting on a sofa, humming along absent-mindedly to the radio and reading through one of her textbooks. Meda is sat at the desk, writing a letter or an essay, while Sirius tries to see what she's doing but she keeps shrugging him off.

As for Regulus, Mother gave him a new book to read, which is good, because he's a bit bored. Aunt and Uncle put out some of his cousin's old toys for him. But apart from a sorry toy train and a teddy bear or two, they aren't very interesting. It's like they don't know Regulus is nine and not five.

He would've liked to go play in the snow outside, build a snowman or something, but it's only fun if someone comes with him. Cissy will say no, straight away, and Meda seems busy. As for Sirius, he's been very clear how he doesn't want Regulus trailing after him, but he still does. He definitely won't agree to going outside with him.

So instead, he sits demurely on his chair, with his book in front of him, listening to Celestina sing about how she won't even wish for snow or put her stocking up. Regulus thinks her Yule won't be very fun if she doesn't get any gifts. He doesn't know who this you she keeps singing about it, but he hopes for her that he had better be worth it.

The final notes of the song ring through the Nursery, just as Meda swiftly folds her letter and puts it in an envelope.

"And that was Celestina Warbeck and the Weird Sister's newest song: All I want for Yule, witches and wizards," the person on the radio announces. Cissy hums the chorus again, flipping a page.

"Come on, Sirius, we'll go post that letter," Meda offers and Sirius gets up eagerly.

Regulus makes a move to go and join them, but Sirius glares at him. So, instead, he sits back down again. The book has fallen to the floor, but he doesn't pick it up.

"Who's that letter for, Meda?" Cissy asks.

"Just someone from school," Meda dismisses.

"The same guy from Hogsmeade?" Cissy raises an eyebrow.

"None of your business," Meda replies.

"Adrian, isn't it?" Cissy says.

"Meda and Adrian, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-" starts Sirius, taunting.

"Sirius," Meda says with a laugh, "Shut up or you won't be able to give Penny a treat."

Sirius shuts up but he's still got that cheeky smile on his face. Meda rolls her eyes, and they both walk out of the room to send the letter. Regulus would have liked to give Penny a treat, but Sirius said no, so he won't.

The radio is now giving Celestina Warbeck an interview: "So, Celestina, tell us more! Where did you get the inspiration for our song?"

"Well, I was missing my dear friend – who I will not name – terribly, and I just wanted him to be home for Yule!"

The interviewer asks a couple more questions, so that Regulus knows not only the entire lyrics of All I want for Yule, but also all of the singer's inspiration, interpretation, and meaning behind the lyrics, as well as a brief biography of her life. Maybe he'll be able to impress Miss Gentlebee with his knowledge when he gets home, supposing that Miss Gentlebee is still his tutor when they come back.

She made the mistake of calling Yule 'Christmas' by accident, and Regulus saw the way Mother's eyes flashed red. She probably won't be there when he gets back. It's a shame because he liked her. But she shouldn't have used a Muggle word around Mother. Muggles are inferior, and using their vocabulary is downgrading, he recites. It's one of Mother's favourite things to say. Regulus knows all of Mother's favourite thing to say, and always recites them perfectly, not like Sirius, who'll mess them up purposely.

"And now for a news flash," the man on the radio says, "We've just had reported that there has been another Muggle attack, the first one in almost a year. Aurors are unsure who staged the attack but suspicions point towards the terrorist group of the so-called He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and his Death Eaters. Even in these times so close to Yule, horror continues to happen around us. The number of victims is-"

Cissy frowns when she hears this, and turns the radio off. Regulus hadn't noticed, but Meda and Sirius are back from the owls. The silence in the Nursery is heavy now.

"I wonder what Bella's up to," Meda says.

I don't want a lot for Yule, thinks Regulus, the song stuck in his head.
