"Sooo..." Andre began after they had all witnessed Jade leave with Cat, "I'm just gonna ask it, what the hell happened between you two this time?" They all swiveled to look at Beck in question and he felt himself squirm a bit.
In truth it had been innocent.
Two days ago...
Beck had noticed some of his female classmates as they walked in. He couldn't help it, it was brief and he looked away but then Tori had walked in. She was wearing a bracelet that looked nice and Beck had noticed. He had been openly staring at Tori for a moment wondering if Jade would like jewerly and it was complete absent mindedness.
"Um excuse me?" Jade snapped.
"Hm?" he said looking back to the subject of his thoughts.
"Don't hm, me, why the fuck are you undressing Vega with your eyes."
He sputtered in shock and gaped at her. His non reaction must have been taken as an admission to guilt and Jade took it and ran with it.
"I can't even believe you!" Jade snapped and stormed out of the theater room towards the Janitor's closet.
"Jade! Jade." He stressed and finally she stopped spinning on her boot.
"I really can't stand you looking at other girls but really? Vega?" She spat in disgust "And right in front of me? Have some class." She continued hitting home on him and he instantly began to feel angry.
"I wasn't." He growled, Jade raised a pierced eyebrow at him.
"Oh you wanna play the 'I didn't do it game', but you obviously did?" She taunted voice dripping with sarcasm. This must have struck a nerve in him, because he immediately responded back,
"Fine then. So what if I did?" He found himself saying despite it not being remotely true. If he could go abck in time he might really slap himself in the face.
Jade gaped at him for a moment and something unreadable flashed in her eyes and Beck was confused until she regained her past anger.
"You know what?" She said her voice deadly quiet. "We're through."
"Wait, Jade! Are you really going to throw away two years for something this stupid?" He asked, reaching out to grab her arm.
"Don't fucking touch me!" She growled.
"Please stop for a moment then!" He yelled back the full sound of his voice reverberating in the halls. "What is it with you? What is so wrong with you that you can't just trust me, trust anyone?" He demanded. His words cut her deeper than expected and she felt herself flinch back.
"If you know what's good for you you should knock it off now."
"No, I'm sick of your accusations! I could think of a hundred reasons to be jealous and I never react liket his with you!" He continued and found his feelings to ring true the argument bringing out something he didn't even realize.
"What are you even talking about? Like when?"
"How do I know you weren't making out with Cat? Well? You think I can't see the way she's over the moon for you!" He finished he felt wild and unstable the words just tumbling out even as a small voice in his head told him to stop.
Jade recoiled in confusion and anger, "are you fucking serious! Me making out with Cat? How would yo-How did you even come up with that? I'm not even bi! And Cat is straight as hell!"
"How could I not? I mean...look at you two!" He half yelled despite his inner turmoil Beck quickly continued. "The way she looks at you!? And how you treat her! You'd choose her over me any day, wouldn't you?"
Jade was still feeling shocked at the direction this argument had went, not only was Beck acting out of character but his accusation struck her in an odd way a stray thought entering her head: yeah and so what? What would be so bad about it? The thought jolted her brain in an uncomfortable way that brought her back to reality and Beck's own shocked yet knowing expression.
"See?" He said bitterly indicating my silence. "You're gay for he-"
Feeling the rage I cut him off.
"Get the fuck outta my face!"
Jade kicked him in the balls and felt satisfied seeing him succumb to the floor. Mother fucker, making out with Cat, my ass. jade thought and she skipped school for the rest of the day.
"It was really, really dumb." Beck groaned his head in his hands. "A lot of it was my fault." He admitted still kicking himself. He had no idea he held jealousy towards Cat of all people and that argument had been the worst way to find out.
The other three seemed hesitant to believe him in thinking he had any part in it whatsoever and Beck didn't have the strength to give them all the details. Let's just say, even he thought he deserved what he got form Jade.
I was such a sleeze ball back there...he thought to himself and despite his residual anger for the situation began to cement his will to apologize.
Classes continued to be tense with Jade and Beck decidedly dividing the room. The usual group of Andre, Robbie and Tori opted to stay wherever Beck sat and with his earlier reflection on past events Beck felt it was in his best interest to steer clear of Jade. Anytime he looked in her direction she gave him the middle finger and he winced and turned back around.
Cat always stayed on Jade's side of the room sitting next to her with any of the brave students who had nothing to do with the main cast and found themselves spread across the strange divide. Teachers kept their noses clean of it and Sikowitz one time mention of the situation left him with his coconut drink right out the window and into the bushes curtesy of Jade.
Let's just say, it was a stressful time for everyone.
The battle waged on for weeks much to the entire student bodie's shock and dismay. While everyone seemed in need of a solution said solution came from one Tori Vega.
This savior now stood in the empty classroom with her group of friends (minus Jade and Beck) as well as a few known characters she would need the assistance of.
"Now that I have you all gathered here, the meeting of 'Save the School Because Jade and Beck Could Burn It Down With Their Hate, No Seriously,' will now commence. Questions!"
"Are you married to that title?" Rex piped up as Robbie quickly moved a hand to cover his mouth looking apologetic towards Tori.
"No questions, perfect moving on!" Tori continued ignoring the darn puppet...her revenge would have to wait for the next meeting of 'Finally Get Rid of that Nuisance Rex for Good plan.' She nodded to herself before turning back around to face everyone.
"OK. Jade and Beck have broken up (again) but instead of getting back together they still are not on speaking terms! We all know this has caused a dangerous situation especially for Jade's temper-"
Sinjin nodded mournfully in his seat.
"-I've gathered you friends and relevants in order to get these two back to normal! Now, we know that in the past the school dances have been a good time for both of them and even reconciled one of their worst break ups. So, we shall throw another bash music festival slash dance in order to raise their spirits!" Tori declared.
Andre scrunched his face up, "would that even work though? No offense but this seems bad. I mean, Jade or Beck haven't spoken at all on how it happened." He piped up.
"Yeah, how we suppose to fix a problem we don't even know about sweet cheeks?"
Tori grimaced at the puppet and his usual remarks ignoring him once more.
"Rex," Robbie stressed, "remember boundaries." He added referencing the nick name.
"Ah...whatever. Women these days, so sensitive."
Everyone collectively rolled their eyes and Tori addressed Andre, "that's why I have called a very important person here." She said turning to Cat. Following her lead everyone in the room turned towards the red head.
Cat blinked looking up from playing with her hair out of boredom seeing all their gazes.
"Whaty?" She said innocently Tori grinned sweetly at her and Cat didn't like the look one bit.
Oh boy. Turning this out faster than I even thought I might. These characters are so unique that it tends to become easier to write with them and I like making Tori kind of dorky here with her plans that ooc bit is all me there hahaha.
till next time (maybe another decade? I sure hope not.)
