It was a beautiful day in the city of Bugdom. The sunlight was shining brightly in the holes of the wooden floors and stairs, which were next to the Pizza Planet truck.
A group of circus bugs had already gotten themselves ready to go to Ant Island for their funtime.
"Guys! Our son Shadow said his first words!" Rosie announced excitedly while holding the giggling Shadow.
"I wanna hear it! Mommy and daddy even told me!" Gina squealed excitedly.
"Cool!" Ramona said.
"He did?" Lukas, her first crush, asked as he felt happiness rise inside of him.
"Okay, lil' man, say it again!" Dim said with a smile.
Manny, Gypsy, Slim, Francis, Heimlich, Molt, Tuck and Roll were squealing quietly with excitement, as if to hear Shadow say his words.
Shadow giggled, and said,
"You fired!"
The circus bugs gasped, but Tuck and Roll cheered, and took Shadow from Rosie's arms, and they said,
"You fired! You fired! You fired!"
"Tuck and Roll, just SHUT UP!" Rosie shouted at the pill bugs, who giggled with embarrassment.
Dim facepalmed himself with an annoyed groan. Gina frowned a little, and made a conversation in private with Ramona and Lukas.
Then, Tuck and Roll spoke gibberish to Shadow, as if to repeat this sentence. Shadow stared at his parent's annoyed expressions. He giggled, and said with Tuck and Roll,
"You fired!"
"Oh, dear, I think we need some help badly," Gypsy said sadly.
"Don't worry, my dear love. We'll fly to Flik for this," Manny responded in comfort.
The circus bugs had made their way to Ant Island. King Flik, Queen Atta, the older Princess Dot, Prince Valian, the younger princesses Flika and Richie greeted their friends.
Flika, Ramona, Lukas and Gina hugged each other.
"Hey, guys! You're back!" Flik said.
"Hi, Flik, honey," Rosie responded sweetly.
"So, what seems to be the help from us?" Atta asked.
As Dim chimed in, he spoke,
"Ms. Ant, our son said his first words."
"Really?!" Dot squealed.
"Show us!" Valian said with a smile.
As Rosie showed Shadow to her friends, he giggled and said,
"You fired!"
The ants gasped. Richie giggles at Shadow's words, but she never wanted to say that.
"But how?" Flik asked in shock.
"I don't know! Who taught him to say it?" Atta asked as well.
"By Tuck and Roll," Rosie answered as she pointed at Tuck and Roll,
"And mostly, our boss P.T. Flea."
"We really need your help, dears," Gypsy chimed in.
"It's just only a moment, Flik, my boy," Manny added in agreement.
"Oh, all right!" Flik said.
Atta, Dot and Valian reluctantly agreed to help the circus troupe out, but the circus wagon approached with the tires screeching, and it was P.T. Flea!
He hopped from the wagon and told his troupe,
"Hey! What are you yahoos doing?! I told you that you have some performances to do! Make it snappy right now!"
The circus bugs sighed in annoyance, while Shadow giggles, and adds out,
"You fired!"
P.T. shrieked in panic, as his face turned red.
"WHAT?! Rosie, Dim! What did your kid say to me?!"
"Mr. Flea, my little brother hears that sentence and it inspired him to say that," Gina said.
"So YOU are the one who taught him to say it," Rosie chimed in.
In agreement, Dim snarled at P.T., but the ants were still, feeling shocked.
"AGH! What makes you think I did it?!" P.T. yelled out.
"Alright, listen here, you parasite! You always said that!" Francis said angrily.
"Yeah!" Slim, Heimlich and Molt said in unison sternly.
"You ingrate, are nothing but harsh to us!" Manny chimed in.
"Now look, Shadow says this thanks to you!" Gypsy added.
Tuck and Roll agreed, but kept saying with Shadow,
"You fired! You fired! You fired!"
Rosie's face was red with anger. She was about to yell at Tuck and Roll, but Dim calmed her down as he said,
"Rosie, stop! You know Shadow's near Tuck and Roll."
"Not to worry, guys. We'll do whatever it takes to help your son, Rosie and Dim," Atta said.
In relief, Rosie and Dim thanked Atta, and gave her Shadow.
Later...
As time went by of helping to learn new words, Shadow makes his new words. As Rosie, Dim, Gina and the others checked on Shadow, he said,
"Mommy! Daddy!"
Rosie squealed, and Dim just chuckled happily. They embraced their son. Gina also giggled, and said,
"That's my little brother!"
She hugged him, while Shadow giggled.
"Hug-time!" Ramona cheered.
"It is!" Flika added excitedly.
"Whoo!" Lukas cheered.
Then, the cousins embraced Gina, Shadow, Rosie and Dim. The rest of the circus troupe came into an embrace, including Flik, Atta, Dot and Valian.
It was getting late already, and the circus bugs spent the night in Ant Island, while they and P.T. make a deal. The circus troupe bid the ants goodnight, and went to their own and shared guest rooms; they're all tucked up in their beds, asleep.
