28. Chapter 18 and 19 (Main Timeline)

Hi guys! Here I present you the original version that was on my mind before I went to the decision of having Lelouch go OC. I thought for a while on what to do in order to not waste what I previously wrote. So what I decided to do is to treat the old version of stage 18 and 19 as alternate timelines.

I want to thank kerrowe for commenting on the idea of posting the older and newer version of the chapters for extra reading, it gave me the idea for this method I came up with.

Also thanks for Pkd on how Lelouch should act with what I established in stage 18

Note: Stage 18 remains pretty much the same, so I decided to just keep what is important and when the change happens. "TIMELINE DIVERGENCE" it's the marking point.

Stage 18 (Main Timeline)

G-1 Base of the Black Knights

"If we take over the Viceroy Palace, then we will win!" Proclaimed Zero as he stood up from the throne-like sit of the Mobile Base

"All forces, follow the deployment scheme and stand by! Diethard, have Tohdoh handle the front line. I'm leaving you in charge here" Ordered Zero as he proceeded to walk out of the room.

"Understood, sir" Replied Diethard.

Once he was going to walk out from the room, the door slid to reveal that standing there was the girl Kaguya Sumeragi

"Sumeragi?"

"Thank goodness I made it in time!" Said Kaguya in relief.

"That was so mean of you, Zero! Going into battle and leaving me behind like that!" Pouted Kaguya.

"I've been a fan of yours for a while now, ever since your debut!" She added happily.

"I was hoping we could finally have a chance to talk, but…"

"Hey, Zero"

Kaguya yelped as she turned around to see that it was Big Boss and Ocelot.

"Oh my god! It's Big Boss!" Said Kaguya in excitement. Big Boss raised an eyebrow curiously at the girl.

"You must be Kaguya Sumeragi, head mistress of the Kyoto House" Said Big Boss having been briefed about the Six Houses of Kyoto a while back.

"Oh! It's really a great honor to join us! I'm also a big fan of yours!" Claimed Kaguya, causing Big Boss to look at her weirdly since this is the second time a young girl told him that they are big fans.

"Thank you, lady Kaguya, but I need to speak with Zero"

"Oh right, sorry!" Kaguya stepped away, letting Big Boss speak to Zero.

( TIMELINE DIVERGENCE)

"Zero, I need to tell you something very important" Big Boss spoke.

Zero nodded. He was determined to not make the same mistake he did today and let his emotions best him.

"Alright, what is it about?" Zero asked.

"I have deployed a team to dismantle the Britannian defenses. It will facilitate our soldier to attack to the viceroy palace" Said Big Boss.

Zero nodded at him.

"Good. There is one part of my plan I need to tell you about, but I'll inform you later. I've got to make sure that none of this gets leaked." Replied Zero as he started to walk out from the room.

The statement surprised everyone present in the room except Big Boss and Ocelot, they were more curious on what Zero is planning.

It wasn't visible, but Big Boss and Zero were feeling a little strained due to the recent events, but they decided to keep it all quiet about that matter and try to work this out.

Back in the Tokyo Settlement

On top of the Viceroy Palace stood Guilford and Darlton in their Knightmares and in front of them were all the Britannian forces of Area 11. This was it, the decisive battle to determine who will be victorious and control the world. The absolute monarchism system of Britannia or the libertarianism of the Black Knights.

Guilford stepped forward and turned on his Knightmares comm and speaker.

"Soldiers! This is now the time to show your value as a soldier of Britannia!" Started Guilford, catching the attentions of all the Britannian military, including the officers, commanders and even the radio operators.

"Many of you know who I am, so I'll make this as short as possible. I know that this seems like an unwinnable battle. With the Black Knights having now thousands of soldiers and amongst their forces are Big Boss and his soldiers."

Many Britannians were feeling a bit scared when Guilford mentioned Big Boss and MSF. They KNOW how tough these mercenaries are.

The Glaston Knights also felt a bit nervous, but the steeled themselves thanks to Darlton who are their adopted father.

"Not to mention that we also lost our viceroy, our Goddess of Victory, Cornelia li Britannia. We are grieving her death; I too am still grieving." Said Guilford with a sorrow tone. A small tear fell from his eyes, but he straightened his face and looked at the soldiers down there.

"But right now, we must wipe our tears and fight! Our enemies are approaching, the ones who shot her in the back, a cowardly move from the one who claimed to fight for "justice". We won't let them get away with this crime!"

Many of the soldiers around started to feel Guilford's speech.

"We must fight! If we let them win, it will be the beginning of the end of Britannia! People will see us weak and we may end up the just like the elevens, they will treat us like slaves and mock us!"

Guilford speech seems to have managed to awaken their pride.

"Today, we will make Zero pay his crime! We show them that we are not weak just because the Viceroy is gone. She is still with us! We show them that her spirit has influenced all of us and we are just as strong as the Goddess of Victory!"

"HUAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Cheered the Britannian soldiers, now feeling that their morals have just boosted up.

"So… I BID YOU STAND, MEN OF BRITANNIA!" Shouted Guillford with all his strength.

"HUUAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" Cheered all the Britannians who heard Guilford's speech.

Back with the Black Knights

The army of the Black Knights halted their approach to Tokyo Settlement as the Gawain flew and approached the walls.

"Hear me Britannia! My name is Zero! A rebel against those who possess power! We will wait until midnight; you have until midnight to surrender to us. This is your last warning!" Proclaimed Lelouch through the speaker as he then activated the countdown.

Meanwhile down with the rest of the Black Knight army. Big Boss, Ocelot and his soldiers were amongst the rest of the army in their Knightmares. Big Boss and Ocelot were focused on Zero's next move, which was attacking the Tokyo Settlement.

Big Boss then contacted Amanda through his comm.

"Amanda, how are you guys in there?"

"Boss, we managed to get in without any trouble! We are in the deepest level of the structure. We will soon reach the Viceroy palace" Informed Amanda.

"Good, hurry up before Zero put his plan in motion" Said Big Boss as he checked the timer set by Zero.

"I will, boss!"

With that Big Boss disconnected his comm. He remembered what Zero told him about what he was going to do, it was a really insane plan and he was more curious on how is he going to make it happen.

In the Gawain, Lelouch was prepared to unleash his plan. Suddenly, his cellphone rang. Lelouch took out and he was surprised to see who was calling him.

"Euphy? Impossible, I never called her. What does she want now of all time?' Said Lelouch in surprise. He was doubting whether he should answer her or not. But after a second, he decided to answer.

"Euphy?"

"Lelouch, it's me" Answered Suzaku instead of Euphy.

"Suzaku? What happened? Did something happen to Euphy?" Asked Lelouch with a concerned tone.

"No, nothing happened to her. She is just…having trouble to process everything that happened so far" Answered Suzaku.

"That's good to hear. Then, why are you calling me now?" Asked Lelouch.

"Lelouch… Are you at school now?" Asked Suzaku.

"No, but I'll be back there soon"

"I see. I called because there's something I want to tell everyone"

"What is it?"

"The sky. Tell them not to look the sky"

"What?" Questioned Lelouch

"Lelouch… have you ever hated someone so much that you want to kill them?" Asked Suzaku

Lelouch closed his eyes and was angry at himself for what he did to Cornelia.

"Yeah"

"I used to think it was wrong to think that way. That unless you fought following the rules, it was just murder. But now…I'm consumed by anger. Now, I'm going to show another side of me. I won't kill unless they leave me no choice, but I will become ruthless and I won't stop. That's why I don't want my friends to see me like this, so…"

"You have the right to hate. For Euphy's sake. The Special Administration Zone was her dream, and it was taken away. Besides, I made up my mind a long time ago. I have no intention of turning back now." Answered Lelouch while feeling guilty for killing Cornelia and despite Suzaku having witnessed himself that Cornelia was responsible for it, he knows very well that Suzaku will still stay with Britannia.

"For Nunnally's sake?"

"Yeah… I have to go now"

"Thank you, Lelouch"

"Don't worry, we are friends, aren't we?"

"For the last seven years"

"Yeah, I'll see you later"

"Okay, see you later"

With that, Lelouch hang the call, just in time to see that the timer has reached its time.

Once it reached to zero, all chaos started.

"WHAT?!" Shouted in shock Guilford.

The platforms that sustained the settlement started to fall apart. The buildings and roads started to fall, taking along with it the soldiers, Knightmares, tanks and possibly civilians.

"Suzaku, I dirtied my hands a long time ago. Even so, you coming to face me doesn't matter. I'll welcome you!" Said Lelouch now having a twisted smile.

"After all, we are friends, aren't we?" Then Lelouch started to laugh crazily at the destruction he has caused.

Big Boss and Ocelot witnessed the chaotic falling of the platforms. It was a frightening but yet breathtaking at such destruction. Big Boss and Ocelot steeled themselves with their weapons ready. The rebellion was about to begin!

End of stage 18

Note: The following chapter is heavily edited. The structure is the same like the previous version, but it has several extra stuffs I added, as well as the removal of the plotwist with Lelouch. So, from this point, I'd recommend to read it all.

Also the elements that I mentioned before, that it would feature betrayal, mistrusts, misunderstanding and such, will still be present, but it won't be as heavy as I originally depicted.

Stage 19 (Main Timeline)

4:00 pm, Mother Base ( 2 hours before the Black Rebellion)

Currently, Mother Base is facing an internal crisis from the infiltrated fake members of Peace Mark.

In the command center, Miller and the other staff members

First, the AI weapons have gone berserk due to the virus implanted on them and were now causing havocs in the 3 hangars of Mother Base. The MSF soldiers that are closer to the hangars were able to receive the messages from Gregory and Eliza about the situation. So, they joined the fight with their comrades to subdue the AI's.

Second, the Geass users were still spread around Mother Base. Some of them were eliminated, leaving most of them either in the Hangars or in the R&D, but thanks to their own Geass powers, they could be hiding or waiting to ambush.

And third, the massacre that is happening in the Mess Hall caused by the Geass users.

Hangar #1 (left side)

…

"Hurry boys! Take those Chrysalis down!"

On the hangar field, a group composed of 50 MSF soldiers were fighting against the 5 flying Chrysalis.

"Shit! I'm out of ammo!"

"Use the X-FIM92A!"

"I'm on it!"

They all started fighting against the Chrysalises. Many were using assault rifles while others used rocket launchers, specifically the XFIM92A since it is efficient against the preventing dodges of the Chrysalises. In addition to their training against the AI pods and Metal gear Zeke, they were well prepared for it.

One of the Chrysalises flew up and started to charge its rail gun.

"It's charging the rail gun! Look out!" warned MSF soldier #11

*BAM!*

The Rail Gun fired at the designated target.

The MSF soldiers managed to get out of the way, but the impact managed to hurt one of the soldiers.

"AAUGH!"

"Man down! Man down!"

One of them rushed to the injured soldier and dragged him to safety.

"Boys! Done with the XFIM92A? We need it now!" Shouted an MSF commander.

"Ready!" Shouted 5 MSF soldiers with the XFIM92A on hand.

"Good, get to your positions!" Ordered the MSF commander.

The 5 MSF soldiers spread out and aimed at their respective Chrysalises while the other soldiers were fighting them while serving as distractions for the Chrysalises.

Once the XFIM92A got their targets, they fired.

*BOOM!*

"AJHGS&#$ !" 2 of the Chrysalises cried out in pain as the missiles hit them. Then something unexpected happened, the other 3 missiles that were supposed to hit the other 3 Chrysalises, just hit the helices of the previous 2 Chrysalises, causing them to malfunction and fall down to the ground.

"What the hell?" Asked the MSF soldier #12

Many of them were confused, it was either an accident or…

"AASHJFSAGSF!$ #%!" The Chrysalises shouted in gibberish as they proceeded to do a circular formation and started to rotate around the closest MSF soldiers.

"What are they doing?" Asked the MSF soldier #20 far away from the group in concern at this strange pattern.

The MSF commander then noticed that the Chrysalises were readying their missile launchers.

"Oh no. Shoot them down before it's too late!" Yelled the MSF commander.

The MSF soldiers with the XFIM reloaded and quickly aimed at the Chrysalises.

But Chrysalises fired their missiles at the surrounded MSF soldiers.

*BOOM!*

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"No!" Shouted one of the MSF soldiers as he saw his comrades getting killed inside.

The MSF soldiers with XFIM fired at the Chrysalises.
*BOOM!*

"A %$#!" The Chrysalises fell to the ground from the impact.

The soldiers finally neutralized them, but they were late to save their perished friends.

"Damn it!" One of the MSF soldiers dropped to the ground and punched the floor in anger.

"If only we were faster…. They could have survived" Added another MSF soldier who was looking at the ground.

"Boys, snap out of it!" Shouted the MSF commander, catching the attention of all the remaining MSF soldiers.

"We can grieve their deaths later, right now the AI's are still rampaging around! So, get your asses up!" Said the MSF commander.

The MSF soldiers steeled themselves. He was right, they need to neutralize the other AI before they cause any more damage.

"Yes, sir!"

West side, in one of the 3 Hangar

…

Meanwhile in another side of a Hangar, 10 MSF soldiers were fighting against an AI weapon, the Peace Walker model.

"Leg #$ !%# charging!" Stuttered the Peace Walker as it decided to charge one of its attacks.

"Take cover!" Shouted one of the MSF soldiers.

Thanks to their training and fight against it, they were able to quickly jump away from its range of attack.

"Now! Throw the chaff grenade!"

One of the MSF soldiers unpinned the chaff and threw it to the air.

Just when Peace Walker turned around, the chaff grenade exploded in front of it.

*BAM!*

"#$!%$ !"

Peace Walker started to malfunction despite already going on a rampage.

"Now! Now!" Shouted an MSF soldier as he readied his XFIM

5 other MSF soldiers had M202 FLASH missiles launchers ready too and fired.

*BOOM!*

Several missiles were launched are hit against Peace Walker's legs and head.

As for the other MSF soldiers, they fired their MG4 at it.

"HUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Peace Walker yelled as it got heavily damaged.

Then it fell down to the ground.

All the MSF soldiers lowered their guns and sighed. They managed to stop Peace Walker, but they couldn't help but feel that it's such a waste what they had to do. Whoever was responsible, they are going to make them pay for this.

One of the MSF soldiers then tried to contact Miller.

"Commander Miller, this is Lark, over!" Called the one called Lark.

But there was only static.

"Damn, it is still down!" cursed Lark. Many minutes ago he tried to contact anyone else, but all he got was static.

"Sir! One of our guys said that they are having problems with one of the AI weapons, the Cocoon! Should we assist them?" One of the MSF soldiers approached him and informed.

"Yes. But I need some of our guys here to keep an eye on Peace Walker in case it reactivates" Said Lark.

Soon after, they were done with it and went to help the other soldiers.

Mess Hall

…

Inside the kitchen, the small group were trying to get out of there before the crazed MSF soldiers gets in and kills them.

Akio and David were holding the door. Yang was putting big objects such as tables or sits she could find and barricade the door. Lightning and Cecile helped Mosquito to find the secret exit.

"Commander Miller, come in!" Lightning called through her comm, but there was only static.

"Damn it. Something is jamming our communications" She cursed.

"This is really troubling. Looks like our only way to warn Miller is to get to the Command Center" Said Mosquito.

"B-But what happened?

"It's here!" Announced Mosquito when he found the exit. It was a ventilation duct but it was big enough for a tall person to get in.

"What? This is the one?" Asked Lightning incredulously. She was expecting something more secret than this.

"Yeah, I know it's no secret door, but- "

"Sorry for interrupting, but quick! I don't think the door can hold much longer!" Urged Yang as she finished barricading the door.

Akio, David, and Yang backed away from the door as it kept banging.

"Very well, I'll go first!" Mosquito then crawled through the ventilation duct.

Yang, Lightning, Cecile, Akio and David followed him from behind in that order.

They moved inside for several minutes.

"Jeez, never thought that going through a vent would be so crumped" Grunted Yang.

"Yeah, I can barely move my arms" Added David.

"Don't worry, we are almost there" Spoke Mosquito.

"You sure?" Asked Yang.

"Yes, this ventilation goes to the outside of the Mess hall. Luckily it's a short one." Mosquito then stopped as he reached to the end of the ventilation, which has a bar.

Mosquito then reached to his pocket and took out what looks like a multi-tool type of knife, but instead of knives, they were small version of workshops tools. He then used the screwdriver side of the multi-tool and started to turn the screws

"Wow, didn't know you'd have a multi-tool" Said Yang in surprise.

"I have it on me in case of emergency, I have to thank Yoshiyuki for sharing this" Replied Alligator while finishing turning the screws.

Then with a punch, the bar fell down and they both got out.

"Thank god, we are out" Said Lightning with relief.

"Wish that was it, but unfortunately, we still have a problem to solve" Said Alligator as he looked at the mess hall.

Suddenly, they heard gunshots and explosions from far away. They all turned to see that there were smokes coming from the struts and buildings.

"What the hell is going on?!" Said David aloud.

Suddenly they heard footsteps.

They turned to the left side to see a group of 10 MSF soldiers approaching.

"Stop!" Shouted Mosquito, not sure if those MSF soldiers were sane. The rest prepared themselves in case they were berserk like the ones inside.

"Wait, sir! We are sane!" Said one of the soldiers.

"Prove it!" Demanded Lightning.

"Commander Miller told us about what happened and sent us to investigate! One of our radios are working, we can call him!" Replied one of the MSF soldiers as he took out his radio and called Miller.

Mosquito and the rest were still skeptical.

"Commander Miller? Do you read me?" Spoke the soldier.

"Loud and clear! Did something happen?"

"Yes, sir. We've just encountered with Mosquito and his group"

"He is alive? Patch me through!" Said Miller in surprise. In the security camera he and the others were able to see Mosquito, Yang, Lightning and other soldiers inside when the massacre happened.

The MSF soldier offered to Mosquito the comm. Although he was a bit hesitant, he took the comm and spoke.

"Yes, commander Miller?"

"Mosquito? Thank god! I was afraid that something happened to you!" Said Miller in relief.

"I managed to escape, along with Lightning, Yang, David, Akio and Cecile. But the situation inside the mess hall is horrible"

"I know. We managed to see a footage of what happened almost 15 minutes ago when one of our own called us"

"I see. So, someone managed to warn you" Said Alligator sadly, he was unaware that one of the soldiers inside was able to contact Miller, and it seems that he most likely died inside. He felt some regret on not being observant enough if there were more sane soldiers inside.

"Mosquito, do you know anything on what happened inside?" Asked Miller.

"I'm not sure what happened exactly, commander. Everything was normal until 5 Peace Mark members entered the hall and then all of a sudden, people started to kill each other"

"Dear god…" Muttered Miller in shock.

"Commander, I also need to ask. What is happening here in the base? I'm hearing gunshots and explosions in some of the strut!" Said Mosquito as he took a look at the struts.

Miller sighed in defeat.

"The AI weapons are out of control, the imposters put in the terminal of the AI Pod some sort of virus, which caused them all to go berserk"

"No…" Muttered Mosquito in horror at the revelation. He looked down and clenched his fist in anger at the ones who did that.

Mosquito raised his head and spoke.

"So what do you suggest, commander? Should we form a perimeter around the mess hall?" Asked Mosquito, going back to the topic of the mess hall.

"Yes. We must lock all the exits of the Mess Hall before any of them gets-"

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*

Everyone quickly looked to the source of the noise and it came from the inside of the building.

"Oh no" Said Mosquito.

With that, they quickly sprinted to the entrance of the Mess Hall. They saw that the door was being hit multiple times, indicating that the MSF soldiers were trying to get out.

"Everyone, here take these!" Mosquito turned around to see that the MSF soldiers took out their handguns and handed those to Mosquito and the rest.

"Thanks! At least I'll have something to defend myself" Thanked Yang as she positioned herself and aimed at the entrance.

"This will work" Commented Lightning.

David and Akio checked the handguns first before they aimed at the entrance.

Cecile was hesitant to grab a gun, since she is just a civilian.

While this was happening, Mosquito quickly called to Miller again.

"Commander Miller, we've got a problem! They are trying to get out of the Mess Hall!" Informed Mosquito.

"Damn it! I thought we would have more time!" Cursed Miller. He tried to find a solution to contain the crazed MSF soldiers, but time was running short.

Miller groaned in frustration. There was only one option left.

"Mosquito… I see no other choice. I hate so say this but… Our only option left is to neutralize them."

"What?!" Said Mosquito in shock. The rest were surprised and concerned at Mosquito.

"Commander, you can't be serious! There has to be another way!" Said Mosquito incredulously at what Miller said.

*BANG! *BANG!* *BANG!*

"Trust me. I don't like it either, but we are running out of time! If those soldiers get out, it will be a chaos around Mother Base! The AI weapons are running rampage and the fake Peace Mark members are attacking anyone they encounter!" Informed Miller.

Mosquito lowered his head. He understands what Miller is saying, but the thought of raising his gun at his comrades and friends is horrible.

"Understood, commander Miller." Said Mosquito begrudgingly. He turned off the comm and turned to the group.

"What is it?" Asked Lightning in concern

"We… neutralize them" Said Mosquito hesitantly.

"W-What? You mean…Kill them?!" Asked Yang in shock.

"Only if they don't leave us any other choice. If we manage to just incapacitate them, then there won't be any killing." Said Mosquito.

Yang was saddened at what he said, but she refocused on the entrance and having in mind to just knock them out.

"Cecile!" Mosquito called her.

"Y-Yes?" Asked Cecile.

"You don't have to stay here with us. I'll have one of our soldiers to escort you back to the Commander Center.

"Y-Yes. Thank you!" Said Cecile, admitting that she is no fighter or soldier.

"Have 2 of our own to take her to the command center!" Commanded Mosquito.

"Understood! You two! Go with her!" the leader of the MSF reinforcement group ordered.

"Yes, sir!"

With that, Cecile went with the 2 MSF soldiers, while Mosquito and the rest stayed behind.

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*

The main door of the entrance started to fall down with each pounding.

They prepared themselves for the waves of controlled soldiers.

*THUD!*

The main door fell. As soon as it hit the ground, MSF soldiers ran out from there and charged at them.

"FIRE!"

R&D main lab

Clara and the remaining Geass users sighed in relief after they successfully deactivated the projector wormhole.

"Dear god! I thought we were going to die or something!" Said one of the Geass users.

Clara turned to the rest and spoke.

"Now, it's time for the next part of our plan. Sabotage as much as we can and get out of here"

With that, they exited the vault and saw the state of the battle.

The most of the MSF soldiers were injured and exhausted, while only Adalhelm and 4 MSF soldiers were standing against the mind controlled Zangief.

"Come on, Zangief. Snap out of it!" Shouted Adalhelm, hoping that he'd be able to reach him.

Zangief didn't reply and he just continued to glare at them.

Clara chuckled softly as she walked next to Zangief.

"It is useless. He is completely under my control" Spoke Clara. She then caressed Zangief's arm.

"This big boy will do whatever I say, regardless of how he feels or think"

"Get your filthy hands off of him, bitch!" Snarled Adalhelm

"Now, Zangief, please do me a favor a dispose of them"

Zangief took a step forward, but suddenly he stopped.

"I…" Zangief blinked slowly.

Adalhelm and the rest of the MSF soldiers looked in confusion.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Do what I said" Said Clara a little impatient.

Zangief was stammering, as if trying to control himself.

Adalhelm looked in surprise, maybe there is a chance for Zangief to break out her control.

"Come on, Zangief! You can do it!" Shouted Adalhelm.

"Zangief, dear. DO what you are told, if you can, I'll make sure to reward you" Whispered Clara softly close to his ears.

Zangief then stopped moving and his gaze lowered.

"You…mean it?" Asked Zangief.

"No…" Said Adalhelm in disbelief.

"Yes, Zangief, I'll give you anything you want" Replied Clara with a smile.

"Anything?" Asked Zangief softly.

"Yes, absolutely"

4 seconds of tense silence passed after that.

"I want one thing" spoke Zangief.

"Yes?" Clara leaned closer to Zangief.

Suddenly, Clara's throat was grabbed by Zangief's left arm.

"I want you to… GO TO HELL!" Zangief roared.

With a swift of his arm, he threw Clara with all his strength to the Geass users, causing them all to fall to the ground due to the impact.

*SNAP!*

One of the Geass users tried to stand up.

"What the hell happened?! How did this brute break Clara's Geass?!" Asked one of the Geass users incredulously.

"Guys! Clara… she's dead! Her neck was snapped!" Shouted another one in horror.

"Wha-!"

*TRATATATATATATATATA!*

Without warning, all the Geass users were gunned down by the Adalhelm and MSF soldiers.

Adalhelm sighed tiredly.

"Serves you right" Spat Adalhelm. He then quickly went to the injured Russian.

"Zangief, you ok?" Asked Adalhelm in concern.

"Yes, comrade" Grunted Zangief with a tired tone. Then he leaned on the wall and sat down.

"Ugh, it took a heavy toll out of me though"

"No kidding. I thought that we would have to fight you. How did you manage to break out of her mind control?" Asked Adalhelm, still surprised that Zangief was able to break from it.

Zangief let out a humorous laugh.

"Comrade, if you have a big sheer force of will, you can do the impossible"

"Amazing" Said Adalhelm in awe. He never expected Zangief to have a great mental health to overcome that.

"Although we are victorious, I'm concerned on who these guys are" Said Zangief as he stared at the corpses of the Geass users.

"Yeah, they have like some kind of supernatural powers. Something I have never seen in my entire life" Said Adalhelm with a worried tone.

"We should contact Miller and tell him what has happened!" Urged Zangief as he stood up.

"You sure you can stand up?" Asked Adalhelm.

"Yes, comrade. I can do it" Nodded Zangief.

"Very well then" Adalhelm then turned his sight to the MSF soldiers. He then realized something missing.

"Wait! The children!" Adalhelm remembered. He then spotted the scientist Yoshiyuki stirring up.

"Doctor!" Adalhelm approached him.

"Are you alright?"

"Uh, I think so" Muttered Yoshiyuki as he tried to stand up.

"Doctor, do you know where the fulton wormhole sends?!" Adalhelm asked in a hurry.

"I-I'm not sure. We managed to open a wormhole and trace the exact location where we want it to appear. But without the exact coordinates, it would be hard to know where it leads" Explained Yoshiyuki.

"Why? Did something happen?" He asked Adalhelm.

"Yes. The intruders had on their hands the Fulton projector, the one that we have been working on for weeks. The children: Chico, Dafne and Akira tried to stop them, but one of those bastards used it on them and they were both sucked into the wormhole" Explained Adalhelm.

"Oh no" Yoshiyuki looked in worry.

"Then that means, they could be anywhere" Said Zangief with a guilty tone, he thought that if he had broken the mind control earlier, they may had been saved.

"We have to get to Commander Miller! We need to find the missing children!" Shouted Adalhelm. He then spoke to the MSF soldiers.

"Men! I'll need half of you to stay here and guard the R&D. Don't let any of those intruders set a foot in here again, if they do. Give them a hell of a welcome!"

"We'll do it!" Volunteered several MSF soldiers.

"Good, the rest follow me! We are going to the command center" Proclaimed Adalhelm as he reloaded his handgun.

Main Hangar

The battle in the hangar section was starting to regain control, thanks to the continuous effort of the MSF soldiers.

Outside of the hangar, the other AI weapons were being subdued by the veteran MSF soldiers who had simulation battles with ZEKE and the AI weapons.

Meanwhile, inside the hangar. Gregory, Cornelio and the MSF soldiers were subduing the Geass users. The Geass users were very tough to take down, it resulted with several MSF soldiers having psychological damages and forcing their compatriots to tranquilize them with their Mk22.

Most of the Geass users were killed. When they tried to, and succeeded, on capturing some for questioning, they suddenly dropped dead.

They deduced that the Geass users must have like some kind of countermeasures to prevent MSF from getting any information out of them, should any of them end up being captured.

Currently, they have Orpheus cornered against a wall. His left arm injured from a gunshot.

"Give up now, Orpheus!" Shouted Gregory.

Orpheus didn't reply as he was holding his injured arm.

"I will not"

Cornelio then approached him.

"Cornelio, what are you doing?" Asked Gregory.

"Don't worry, I'll handle this" Cornelio replied with a reassuring tone. He then started to walk to Orpheus.

"Orpheus. Please, surrender. You are outnumbered and you can barely fight with one arm."

Orpheus groaned in pain.

"If you surrender, we can work something out" Continued Cornelio.

"I said that I won't- "Suddenly, Orpheus had a migraine.

Everyone prepared themselves in case he's going to attack.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Orpheus then let out a painful scream, then he fell to the ground unconscious.

The Gregory, Cornelio and the MSF soldiers were looking confused at what happened, but they kept their guard up.

Cornelio then did a check on Orpheus.

"Everything is fine now" Spoke Cornelio.

"Are you sure?" Asked Gregory skeptically.

"Pretty sure. He is unconscious now"

"I see. Handcuff and blindfold him" Said Gregory. Cornelio then proceeded to do what Gregory said.

After several minutes, The MSF soldiers dragged the bodies of the Geass users to a corner, while the fallen MSF soldiers were put together to give them a proper burial later.

Gregory then called Eliza.

"Eliza, come in"

"Gregory, how's the situation on your end?" Spoke Eliza.

"We subdued the Peace Mark members, and Orpheus is currently in custody."

"That's good…. Wait, what did you just say?" Stopped Eliza.

"Huh? I said that the Peace Mark members were subdued, as well as Orpheus" Repeated Gregory in confusion.

"No, that can't be right. We just gunned him down, here" Said Eliza in shock, she turned around to see the MSF soldiers carrying the lifeless body of Orpheus.

"What? That's impossible, we just faced him here!" Said Gregory in disbelief as he turned around to see the MSF soldiers handcuffing and blindfolding him.

Eliza was shocked to hear that. Then she realized something, when she and the rest were fighting Orpheus, she noticed that he acted like a rookie rather than a seasoned soldier.

"Unless…. This is one of the tricks from Peace Mark" Said Eliza.

"You don't mean… the mind tricking powers?"

"It has to be, there is no other explanation" Concluded Eliza.

"I see. We'll have to talk about this to Miller. In the meantime, we need to check the status of the hangar"

"Indeed" Eliza concurred with Gregory

"How's the status of the AI and Zeke?" Asked Gregory.

"The virus seems to have caused serious damages to the AI. Our technicians are currently turning the AI pod off in order to stop all the AI weapons." Informed Eliza as she checked the status screen of the Hangar. She was not only an expert on the military navy, but also smart on the scientific field.

"Also, the virus infected Zeke's control on the nuclear warhead. It won't be able to launch it" Continued Eliza.

"Damn it. Is there a way to fix it?" Asked Gregory.

"It can be fixed, we just need to reboot it, but it will take a while to clean up the virus on the systems. I say it would be approximately, 2 hours" Said Eliza as she started to reboot the terminal.

"I see. We've better inform this to Miller"

After 20 minutes, Gregory, Eliza, Cornelio and a few MSF soldiers went to the command center, with a still unconscious Orpheus. As for the hangar, the rest of the MSF soldiers stayed to guard the place.

This time, they are going to get answers for all of these.

Pacific Ocean, miles away from Mother Base

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Chico screamed as he and Akira fell from the wormhole and then to the sea.

*SPLASH!*

Chico sank into the sea. He managed to recover from the impact and tried to swim up.

"UH!" Chico exhaled as he looked around.

"Wh-Where are we?" Gasped Chico as he floated on the ocean and looked around.

"Akira! Dafne!" Called Chico.

A few seconds later. Akira, now back to normal, also got out from sea.

"Huh!" Akira gasped for air.

"Akira!" Chico swam to where Akira was.

"Chico, I'm glad to see you ok!"

"Me too! Have you seen Dafne?!" Asked Chico in concern.

"I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that she is around here."

"Y-You do, how?" Wondered Chico.

"I really don't know how. It's like my instincts are telling me" Replied Akira.

Chico then saw behind Akira something floating, a little bit away from them.

"Akira, what is that?" Pointed out Chico. Akira turned around and thanks to his improved eyesight, he could see that it was a body upside down.

"Wait, that's… Dafne!" Akira said as he then quickly swam.

"Akira! Wait for me!" Chico shouted.

Akira reached to where Dafne was. He quickly checked her if she was ok.

"She is breathing" Said Akira in relief, although it was no surprise since her healing factor prevented her from life threatening damages.

"Akira!" Chico panted after swimming to them. Then he noticed Dafne.

Dafne! Is she alright?" Asked Chico.

"She is fine, I think she is unconscious due to the fall." Akira replied.

"I see. Still, I'm glad she is ok" Said Chico in relief.

"Yeah, but now, we need to get out of here" Said Akira as he looked around.

"This is bad, I can't see Mother Base" Said Chico with a worried tone. He looked around to see any sight of the base, but there was nothing around.

"Ugh…"

Chico and Akira looked at Dafne, who was starting regain consciousness.

"Akira? Chico?" Said Dafne with eyes half opened.

"You are ok now, Dafne" Reassured Chico.

"Land…. there" Dafne said with a weak tone. She then raised her right hand and pointed to somewhere.

"What? How do you know that?" Asked Chico bewildered.

"Smell" Replied Dafne.

"Wow, didn't know that your senses were THAT good" Said Chico in surprise.

"Wait, can you sense the smell of our friends in Mother Base?" Asked Chico. This way, they can know how far away they are from Mother Base and return to help.

"Si… But their smells are very faint. The land is the closest to us" Said Dafne in a weak sad tone.

That meant that they can't return to Mother Base. They are very far from there and it would take hours to return.

Seeing no other option, Chico made his decision.

"Guys, let's go to that land"

Akira nodded. He then used his enhanced strength to carry both Chico and Dafne and swam to whatever that land was.

Tokyo Settlement, few minutes before the falling of the platforms

Inside the platforms, Amanda and her group were silently walking through the halls. Their mission was to get to the other side of the platform and attack the enemy from the inside.

"This is getting a bit boring; I want some action" Muttered Shira with a bit of boredom.

"Liz, be patient! We will be there soon" Whispered Liz.

"Shush!" Whispered Amanda as she walked slowly.

The rest looked around in case there were enemies, but strangely there haven't seen anyone yet.

"There is something strange here. There should be guards around" Said Amanda.

"Could this be what Zero informed to Big Boss?" Commented Shira.

"Most likely, but keep your guards up" Said Amanda and then she motioned everyone to go forward and be cautious.

Soon, they reached to an intersection of 2 pathways, the left side to one of the control rooms, the right to a hall that leads to a giant metallic gate, which is the one that they have been looking for, that leads to the underground section of the Viceroy palace.

But just when they were about to go to the right.

*BANG!*

Suddenly, they all stiffed as they heard a gunshot.

Amanda motioned the rest to reach to the gate while she will go and take a look to the left side where the gunshot came from.

The group managed to reach to the gate and fortunately it was unlocked, so they can just open it easily.

Once they entered that gate, it would enter the halls of the Viceroy Palace.

She then reached to a corner and peaked. She saw a door that leads to a control room with a sign that says "Control 8".

She leaned against the wall and moved to the door to peak again. What she saw surprised her.

Amanda saw 3 dead bodies and, on the controls was a Britannian operator who was ignoring the corpse while she was imputing something.

"What the hell?" muttered Amanda.

Amanda looked again and focused on what it was on the screen. It looked like a pillar of the settlement that holds the platform and she could see that the edges of the pillar were turning red.

Amanda's eyes were slowly widening as she understood immediately.

Amanda didn't waste time and sprinted straight to the gate where the rest of the team are.

"Alright, we are all in. Now we just have to wait for…Huh?" Shira stopped when she saw Amanda running like hell.

"Amanda? What's wrong?!" Asked Liz with a worried tone.

"Go! Go!" Amanda shouted as she motioned them to keep moving.

Suddenly, the whole place started to tremble.

"What the?" Asked Shira, the MSF soldiers looked around in confusion.

"HURRY BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!" Amanda yelled with an alarmed tone.

*Rumble!*

Liz, Shira and the MSF soldiers acknowledged her and quickly started to run.

Then the roof started to collapse onto her.

"Mierda! (Shit!)" Cursed Amanda as she ran with all her strength.

Amanda almost reached to the gate, and seeing no choice, she used what remained of her strength to jump to the gate.

*Tremble*

And just in time, she managed to get in before the whole place from the platforms completely fell.

"Amanda!"

Amanda looked up to see her group approaching her.

"Amanda, you are one crazy girl!" Commented Shira as she tried to help her up.

"Heh, heh, si" Amanda sighed in relief.

Moments later, they continued the path that leads to the Viceroy Palace.

The Black Knight members looked in astonishment at the fallen platform and the huge advantage they can get from this.

"Zero, you are really amazing!" Admired Tamaki.

"Oh my god! Is the entire settlement collapsing?!" Gasped Kaguya.

"No, I heard it's just the outer perimeter" Said Diethard.

"How did Zero's underground collaborators do this? Maybe Villetta and Jeremiah theories were right…. Then this is magnificent! Before the world people are just pawns!" Diethard thought excitingly.

Big Boss, Ocelot and the MSF soldiers stared in astonishment at the scenario that Zero caused.

"This will do. Once we broadcast images of the government bureau falling to us and our declaration of independence to the world, then he'll have to face me, whether he likes it or not!" Said Lelouch, referring to his father, Charles.

Lelouch then contacted to Big Boss.

"Big Boss, it's time now!"

"Understood, Zero" Big Boss nodded.

Lelouch turned it off and then pressed on the screen panel the comm to Tohdoh.

"Tohdoh. Have our troops ready, we are starting with our plans!" Spoke Lelouch.

"Yes, Zero!" Said Tohdoh.

Big Boss turned his comm to Ocelot and his soldiers.

"Men, let's move out! Team 1 and 2, go with Ocelot and cover the left side of the fallen structures!"

"Yes, Boss!" the soldiers of Team 1 and 2, which are each composed with 10 MSF soldiers and 10 soldiers from the Ocelot Unit.

"Team 3 and 4, provide support to our allies from the right side!"

"Yes, Boss!" Team 3 and 4 acknowledge which are again composed with 10 MSF soldiers and 10 from the Ocelot Unit.

"The rest with me! Move out!" Finished Big Boss as he drew out his Knightmare's patriot and charged.

After Tohdoh spoke with Chiba about the status of the battlefield, he ordered the attack.

"Squad 3, take the media sector. Squad 6, take the harbor! Special forces squad suppress the lower levels! Everyone aside from that, push in from the front! Gather data on all remaining enemy forces!" Commanded Tohdoh.

With the Britannians

The Britannians were at this moment recovering from the sudden falling of the platform. Most of them were unharmed thanks to their Knightmares, but the others weren't so fortunate. Guilford, quickly took command and went up to a high debris to call everyone.

"Regroup!" Guilford shouted through the speaker.

Darlton and the Glaston Knights, whom all have survived, went to help the injured soldiers.

"You there, are you ok?" Spoke Darlton to one of the fallen Knightmares as he approached him.

"Y-Yes, sir! I'm fine!" Said the pilot.

"Good. I need you to look for any other survivors around!" Ordered Darlton.

"Yes, sir!" The pilot then quickly went to help the other Britannians.

"Father!" Darlton turned around to see that it was one of his adopted sons, Claudio.

"We lost most of our military vehicles! Tanks, jeeps and even aircrafts!" Informed Claudio.

"Damn it!" Cursed Darlton.

After several minutes, all the survivors were gathered and waited for Guilford's orders.

"Soldiers! The enemy got us good with this attack, but it's not over yet! All forces, fall back to the Britannian government bureau!" Guilford commanded.

"Yes, sir!" All the available soldiers and Knightmares obeyed Guilford.

Just when they were going to retreat, Tohdoh and the rest of the attacking squad appeared.

"The enemy has been spotted! Take them down!" Tohdoh shouted as he charged at them, while the rest of the Black Knights opened fire.

"Damn it!" Guilford quickly charged at Tohdoh and their respective weapons clashed at each other.

"The one from Narita!" Tohdoh recognized.

"Guilford!" Shouted Darlton. He was prepared to go help him, but Guilford stopped him.

"Darlton, use this chance to get as many soldiers as you can to the bureau!"

"But Guilford-!"

"We must do this for Cornelia, and for Euphemia's sake!" Countered Guilford, making Darlton remember what their main purpose are.

Guilford then discarded his lance and changed it to his sword.

"Do not worry about me. I'll buy enough time for our soldiers to withdraw and I'll catch up with you!" Reassured Guilford as he and Tohdoh clashed with their own weapons again.

Darlton groaned a bit, not liking the idea of Guilford and a few their own facing against the Black Knights alone. But there weren't any more choices, so he decided to acknowledge his order.

"Very well, Guilfod. Just make sure to come back alive" Said Darlton with a small smile.

"I will" Guilford smiled back.

With that, Darlton left with the other soldiers to the bureau.

In another part of the battlefield

In another part of the battlefield, a group of Black Knights and a Raiko were prepared as the Raiko prepared its cannon.

"Superconductive heavy shrapnel cannon, fire!" Yoshida shouted inside the Raiko.

The Raiko shot the cannon and destroyed a large debris that was blocking the way.

"Special unit 1, move in!" Commanded a Black Knight member as an infantry of Knightmare charged.

On the left side, Ocelot and his units charged as well. They encountered with a few Britannian Knightmares recovering from the falling.

"Enemy contact!"

One of the Britannian soldiers noticed them. But just when he was about to open fire. Ocelot drew out his Knightmare's revolver and shot on its head.

"Uugh!" The soldier groaned as the Knightmare exploded.

Ocelot then maneuvered his Knightmare to his left side and slide through it. He then pointed his revolver at one Knightmare, in which there was another from behind, and with a such precision, he fired his revolver and pierced the 2 Knightmares.

"Impossible!"

The Britannian pilots were shocked until the Knightmare exploded and killed them instantly.

On the perimeters of the Tokyo Settlement, Kane and his soldiers were stationed with the anti-tank sniper rifle. They started to gun down any Britannian Knightmares who were recovering from the fall.

Amanda and her team kept running through the passage. Since they were deep down and the platform fell down, it blocked any signal for them to contact anyone. So they would be temporary uncommunicable.

Meanwhile, the Gawain started to fly to the Ashford Academy to set up his base of operation.

The members of the student council which currently are Milly, Rivalz, Shirley and Nunnally, were watching the news on the current situation of the Black Rebellion. Until it went to static before they saw the reporter being taken away by Black Knight soldiers and the screen was replaced with their symbol.

"That makes it every broadcasting station!" Stated Milly.

"Then the Black Knights have taken over all the Britannian communication in Area 11" Added Huey as he approached them. Both Huey and Strangelove decided to stay with them in case something bad happen and since they know that Big Boss are with them, they can make sure that civilians remained unharmed. They also wanted to make sure student council members were safe since they kinda grew fond of them during their time as cover teachers.

"What are we going to do?" Asked Nunnally in concern.

"I…" Huey was about to speak until he heard loud footsteps.

Suddenly, Tamaki and 5 Black Knight soldiers entered the room with rifles on hand.

"Hands up and turn around! The Black Knights have now taken this school!" Announced Tamaki.

Rivalz stood in front of the students and teachers.

"Lower the guns!" Said Rivalz bravely.

"Huh? That's a hell of a thing to say in this situation!" Commented Tamaki.

"Rivalz!" Whispered Milly.

"Let me be cool for once! I'm protecting everyone here!" replied Rivalz while trying to maintain his bravery.

"Oh? Is that so?!" Said Tamaki with a smirk as he is about to beat him with his gun.

"Wait!" Huey intervened. He moved his wheelchair forward and stopped in front of Tamaki.

"What? You wanna play hero too, wheels?" Taunted Tamaki.

"Please, don't hurt them! They are just kids!" Begged Huey.

"Professor Emmerich!" Shouted Milly in concern.

"And why should I spare them, huh? You are just a man on a wheelchair" Replied Tamaki nonchalantly.

"You will not harm these innocent children! We are-" interjected Strangelove

"STOP!"

Huey, Strangelove and the students turned around to see that Zero entered the room with Kallen next to him.

"I told you to avoid violence!" Said Zero sternly.

"But you told us that this was gonna be our command center!" replied Tamaki.

"Command center?!" Said Milly in shock.

"This academy is a great use to us Black Knights, so we are using it as our command center" Replied Zero.

"Wait a moment" Spoke Huey gaining the attention of everyone.

"Leave the students and civilians to me, Zero. I'm sure the Boss will agree!" Proposed Huey. This confused everyone, except Lelouch who already knows who he is.

"Hey! Who do you think you are?!" Demanded Tamaki.

"I'm Huey Emmerich! Chief of the R&D team of MSF!" Spoke Huey, deciding that it was pointless now to use his cover.

The revelation shocked everyone, especially the students and Kallen.

"What? Professor Emmerich, you are a member of Militaire Sans Frontieres?" Asked Rivalz in shock.

"Our professor, is a scientist of the mercenary nation?!" Added Milly.

Shirley and Nunnally had no words since they were too shocked.

"What?! He was the chief of the R&D?! Right under my nose?!" Thought Kallen in disbelief.

"That's true!" Added Strangelove also revealing herself.

"Professor Marshall?! You too?!" Asked Rivalz again.

Tamaki was surprised and moments later, he decided to lower his gun.

"Oh, shit…" Tamaki cursed for acting like an idiot.

"I guarantee, everyone here will be unharmed" Zero assured to Milly and the rest.

"Like we can believe you?! You guys are at war with Britannia!" Spoke Rivalz.

Kallen then decided to step up.

"Rivalz, please do what he says" Said Kallen. She then removed her Black Knight visor mask and revealed her identity to everyone.

"K-Kallen?" Said Shirley in shock at the revelation.

"I see. So that is how it is… Do I have your word?" Asked Milly to Kallen.

"If nobody leaves their room, they should be fine" replied Kallen.

Then Zero spoke, directly to Strangelove and Huey.

"Huey, Strangelove. I leave the care of these students in your hands."

Huey and Strangelove nodded at Zero.

"Milly, everything is going to be ok. Trust us" Huey reassured them.

Milly nodded, although she and the rest were feeling a bit skeptical since they revealed themselves to be part of MSF

"Zero! It's the Lancelot!" Suddenly arrived Ohgi with the news.

"Finally, he has come" Said Zero in anticipation. He then turned to Kallen.

"It's your turn now, Kallen!"

"Yes, sir!" Said Kallen, eager to stop Suzaku once and for all.

Back in the Tokyo Settlement

Darlton quickly rushed to the bureau with the soldiers on toe. On some occasions, he and some of the Britannianssoldiers would retaliate back at the enemy in order to stall them, which more or less worked as more Britannians were able to retreat.

Suddenly, bullets flew past him.

"What? Did the Black Knights catch up with me?" Wondered Darlton. Then a new window popped out on his screen and showed that the attackers were not them, but MSF.

"It's them!" Said Darlton almost nervously. He is confident on his own skills, but the MSF mercenaries are very tough adversaries.

"Take cover!" Darlton shouted to the remaining Britannian soldiers who are present.

The Britannians were quick to notice and took cover.

Now, they were firing at the MSF Knightmares, who are also taking cover behind the debris.

Suddenly from above the debris, Big Boss appeared and fired his Patriot onto the enemy Knightmares.

"Watch out!" Shouted one of the Britannian soldiers. But the Patriot pierced the Knightmares, which caused them all to eject their cockpits automatically.

"Damn, it's Big Boss!" Darlton tried to fire at him, but the Patriot was too powerful for his Knightmare as the bullets destroyed the rifle.

"Father!"

Bullets started to fire at Big Boss, he quickly jumped back and took cover behind the debris.

Darlton turned around to see that it was the Glaston Knights.

They quickly took cover and opened fired at the MSF forces.

"Claudio! I thought I told you all to go to the bureau!" Said Darlton in surprise.

"We were going to, but we saw you in trouble. So we decided to come back and help you" Answered David.

"Yes, father! We couldn't possibly let you face against those mercenaries!" Added Edgar.

Darlton let out a small smile at his adopted sons.

"Thank you, my sons. I'm proud of all of you" Said Darlton. He then used his slash harken to hit one of the walls to fall down and then jumped upward to join his sons.

The Glaston Knights smiled at their father in appreciation, they continued firing at the enemy forces.

Big Boss and his MSF forces were hiding behind the debris.

"So these are the Glaston Knights, huh?" Big Boss commented, having heard of them before but never encountered any of them.

He peaked to see that more Britannian Knightmares appeared and joined the fight.

Big Boss then fired his Patriot and disabled more enemy Knightmares.

"God, these mercenaries are tougher than I thought!" Said Claudio in surprise. He tried to gun them down, but they are very quick, agile and knows how to shoot. He heard about MSF months ago, but this was something he didn't expect.

"Claudio! I need all of you to provide support to Guilford!" Ordered Darlton.

"To lord Guilford?" Asked Alfred.

"Yes! Once he and the rest of our soldiers retreat to the bureau, we will be able to hold them with Viceroy Palace's defenses! Don't worry about me, I can handle it!" Said Darlton as he retrieved a gun from one of the Britannian Knightmares.

"Understood father!" Claudio said as he and the rest of the Glaston Knights withdrew and went to where Guilford is.

Big Boss and his soldiers kept exchanging fire with Darlton and the Britannian soldiers. With each passing second, the Britannian Knightmares were getting destroyed and the cockpits flying away.

As he and the rest of the MSF soldiers were exchanging bullets. Big Boss contacted with Ocelot.

"Ocelot, status report!"

"Ocelot here. We managed to halt most of the enemy firepower on the east side. Our allies shouldn't have much trouble to fight the Britannians" Reported Ocelot.

"Also, I noticed that they are withdrawing to the bureau. It seems that they are going to fortify themselves in there with the building's defenses" Ocelot added.

"Yeah, I noticed it too. And the Glaston Knights just left, keep an eye out" Said Big Boss as he kept firing.

"Understood" Ocelot then turned off his comm.

Big Boss peeked and started to fire again.

He then noticed that Darlton and his soldiers started to retreat to the bureau.

"They are retreating, huh?" commented Big Boss.

*RING RING!*

"Hm?" Big Boss hummed in surprise. It was Miller calling him. He turned on his comm and patched it through.

"Kaz? What is-"

Big Boss stopped when he heard something wrong in the other side of the line.

He heard shootings on the other side of the line.

"What the?! Kaz, what's happening there?!" Shouted Big Boss.

"Boss! Thank goodness that your comm is working! You need to comeback and bring as many men as you can!" Screamed Kaz.

"What is going on over there?!" Questioned Big Boss.

"Mother Base is being attacked! They've got us good!" Answered Miller as gunfire's and explosions were heard.

"WHAT?!"

"I'll explain everything later! Right now, I gave the order for an evacuation. There are too many of them around-!"

*BOOM!*

*Static*

"Kaz? Kaz?!"

Big Boss tried to contact him again, but nothing came. He then thought about the matter quickly. This was an emergency and they must return to Mother Base.

Big Boss quickly contacted Zero.

"Zero! Come in, this is Big Boss!"

A few seconds later, the comm managed to go through and Lelouch spoke.

"What is it, Big Boss?"

"We've got a big problem here"

"What kind of problem? Are the Britannians trying to do something against us?" Asked Zero.

"It's not that. I hate to say this, but… my soldiers and I have to leave"

"What?!" Asked Zero incredulously.

"I just received a call from Miller. He said that we are under attack by an unknown invader. The damages seems to be fatal that Miller issued an evacuation and they need my help!" Explained Big Boss.

"No…" Zero muttered in shock.

It looked like the situation was not benefiting him now. Just when they have the upper hand here, this happens. He quickly thought and he came to a conclusion. Maybe he can handle this rebellion himself and let Big Boss and his soldiers go back to their home.

After thinking about it for several seconds, he came to a conclusion.

"Go, Big Boss. Help your soldiers!" Replied Zero.

"You sure you can handle this?" Asked Big Boss about the rebellion.

"Yes, I can handle it" Said Zero confidently.

Big Boss nodded as he spoke again.

"Thank you, Zero. But know this, once we leave, we won't be able to help you guys. We will be focused on helping our own soldiers and staffs"

"Don't worry, Big Boss. Leave it to me" Reassured Lelouch.

"Know that the Black Knights and I are very grateful for your involvement, you helped us so much, especially after what happened today. Once we manage to establish the United States of Japan, we will help you in whatever we can" Added Lelouch with a grateful tone.

Big Boss, despite the mess that happened today with the massacre and the death of Cornelia, felt glad that Zero understood his situation and decided to let him go.

"This is a good-bye for now, Zero. Good luck with the rebellion" Big Boss bid his farewell to Zero.

"You too, Big Boss" Said Zero.

With that, they turned off their comm and they are now going to part ways.

Big Boss then turned on his comm to all his soldiers.

"Men, I have an important announcement. We are leaving this battle! There is an emergency on Mother Base that needs our attention!"

"What happened, Boss?" Asked Ocelot.

"Mother Base is under attack by an unknown assailant. Miller is requesting reinforcements to help the evacuation!" Replied Big Boss, which shocked everyone.

"Oh no…"

"Mother Base is…?!"

"This is like the Britannian invasion all over again!"

Muttered several MSF soldiers in their own comm.

"For now, we rendevouz in this site. I'll pinpoint the zone in your maps" Big Boss took out his IDROID and marked the area. Then he sent it to his soldiers.

"Move out!" Commanded Big Boss.

Big Boss noticed that his radio wasn't able to contact Amanda and her team.

"Amanda, Amanda, can you hear me?!" Said Big Boss, but there was only static. He reasoned that the platform caused a massive destruction that damaged the communication lines, and adding that they were also deep down the platform and haven't reached to the surface yet.

He saw on his screen all the locations of his soldiers, and the one closest to the Viceroy Palace, was Kane.

"Kane, do you read me!" Big Boss contacted to Kane.

"Yes, Boss! Loud and clear!"

"I need you to go search Amanda and her team, I have issued an order of retreat and it didn't reach her. You are the only closest one to the bureau, only you can carry this mission." Said Big Boss.

"Understood, Boss. Leave it to me!" Said Kane with confidence.

"Thank you, Kane. Once you are done, return to Mother Base"

"Yes, Boss. Over and out!" Kane then turned off his comm.

Big Boss then quickly retreated the area with his soldiers.

Meanwhile with Lelouch, he started to broadcast his transmission to all the Black Knights.

"Attention to all the Black Knights! I have a very important announcement! As of right now, Big Boss and his soldiers won't be helping us in our rebellion. They are facing an important issue in their Mother Base that requires their immediate attention. So, from here on out, we are on our own"

This surprised everyone.

Ohgi, Kallen, and the rest of their group looked in shock and sadness that Big Boss and MSF had to leave them in the midst of the rebellion. They wondered what it could be so important than this, but they decided to put this aside and ask it later.

Tohdoh and the four holy swords were also a bit saddened at this, but since they are seasoned warriors, they managed to put those feelings aside and focus on what is important.

10 minutes later, East side of Tokyo Settlement, far away from the battlefield.

At this moment, Big Boss, Ocelot and most of the MSF soldiers arrived to the rendezvous point. Ocelot ordered a full withdraw to Mother Base via aircrafts. There weren't any ships of their own around, so returning to Mother Base through the sea is not an option.

Everyone got out from their Knightmares and were on their way board the choppers. Most of the MSF Knightmares were left with no choice but to stay here since the prep time to load them all on aircrafts would take a lot of time, this lead only 1 Knightmare available to be transported to Mother Base, which is Big Boss's.

" So Boss, who's going to stay here? I have no doubt that this is to receive the evacuated staff members from Mother Base." Asked Ocelot. He may have not been with MSF since the start with Big Boss, but since he joined MSF, although unofficially, he started to care for them.

"Ocelot. I'll need you and the Ocelot units to stay here and receive the evacuated members. Tell our men if anyone want to join me, then they should hurry."

Ocelot nodded and quickly told his command to everyone.

After several minutes, it was all assembled.

Big Boss and 40 MSF soldiers are going to Mother Base to help, while Ocelot, the Ocelot Units and 10 MSF soldiers are going to stay behind.

A few moments later, 5 MSF HP-48 Krokodil arrived, along with 5 MSF Hind D' and one Knightmare transporter.

"Ocelot, we'll need a landing site to receive them. Go to the west side of Japan, the closest one to the sea. After that, take them to the base or any other hidden bases we have" Said Big Boss.

"Understood" Nodded Ocelot and then left with his unit and the other soldiers.

"Alright, let's move out!" Said Big Boss to his soldiers. Each HP-48 is boarded with 8 MSF soldiers, while Big Boss and 10 MSF soldiers entered in Big Boss's personal Krokodil, which is piloted by Morpho.

"Everyone is on board, let's go!" Said Big Boss to Morpho.

"Yes, sir-!"

"Wait!"

Suddenly spoke a voice from the entrance of the helicopter.

Everyone aimed their weapons at the entrance. Big Boss was the closest one, which allowed him to see an arm grabbing on floor of the entrance.

Then, Big Boss looked in shock and disbelief on who it was.

"No… This is impossible, you should be dead!" Said Big Boss in disbelief.

The one who was standing there, although panting in exhaustion, was Veg, who looks very much alive than dead.

"Hello again, Big Boss. Looks like I made it in time." Panted Veg.

"How the hell are you alive?! I saw you die from a head shot!" Questioned Big Boss.

Veg then chuckled softly.

"It's kinda funny and bizarre. I got shot in the head and then suddenly I woke up somewhere else"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Questioned Big Boss, still dumbstruck to see a dead man alive.

"I'll explain it to you in a moment, but we are running out of time, let's go back to Mother Base" Suggested Veg.

Big Boss gritted his teeth, he was again avoiding his questions and he was very tempted to kick Veg out of the helicopter.

"Uugh… Fine" Said Big Boss reluctantly.

Just as Veg got inside, Big Boss spoke in a warning tone.

"But let me tell you something. After we are done with this. You will tell us everything. No more bullshits, got it?"

Veg was about to say something, but he decided to just nod and not say a word.

The only reason he was allowing him to accompany them was that he's still the only source for them to go home and also to answer his questions.

East side of Japan

During this moment, Chico, Akira and Dafne arrived to the shores of Japan.

"Oh my god, finally we reached to this place!" Said Chico in relief.

"Wait a moment, this place…" Said Akira in wonder.

"What is it, Akira?" Asked Dafne.

After several seconds, Akira finally realized where they are since he saw it once on a magazine or TV during his time in Mother Base.

"This place...is Japan!" Said Akira.

"What? We are in Japan?!" Said Chico in surprise.

"Yeah, without a doubt!" Confirmed Akira.

"Then, we can find Big Boss!" Said Chico remembering that Big Boss is currently in Japan.

"I think it's a good idea!' Agreed Akira.

Just when they were about to go forward, Dafne went in front of them and stopped them.

"Wait…" Said Dafne as she started to sniff.

"Dafne, what's wrong?" Chico asked.

Dafne kept sniffing. She was smelling someone familiar and he was close by.

"I found someone; someone we know" Said Dafne.

"Is that true?" Asked Chico in surprise.

"Si, he is over there!" Dafne confirmed and then pointed to the Tokyo settlement.

"Ok, we better go then! Akira, can you fly us there?" Chico asked Akira.

"I think I can!" Akira then spread his wings. Next, Chico and Dafne hopped onto Akira's back and giving the signal, Akira flapped his wings and started to fly to that direction.

With Amanda and her team, outside of the Viceroy Palace

A few meters away from the Viceroy Palace, there was a small building that is connected to the platform. The door opened, revealing to be Amanda and her group.

Amanda peaked through the door and looked her left and right side. There was a large space that showed the buildings of the Tokyo Settlement and in front of her was the Viceroy Palace.

"Follow me" Amanda whispered to her team.

They all nodded as they followed her.

Amanda sprinted to the bureau, where there were several pillars made for decoration. They kept running, until Amanda spotted a few soldiers approaching

"Hide!" Amanda whispered a bit louder for them to hear.

Each of them managed to hide behind the pillars and luckily there were plenty of pillars for them to hide.

Amanda peeked slowly and saw that more soldiers appeared from the edge of the bureau.

"Shit, are we late? There are many Britannians coming here" Whispered Shira.

"I'm not sure, but we should try to accomplish what we were told to do" Said Amanda. They weren't going to retreat when they already got this far. Unbeknownst to her, Big Boss had issued a full retreat to Mother Base.

In Tokyo Settlement

So far, the battle was even. Though Britannia initially lost some advantage, they proved themselves to be tough opponents.

Tohdoh and Guilford continued fighting with each other, until bullets started to hit Guilfords Knightmare, wich prompted him to jump back and hide behind the debris as cover.

"Tohdoh!" approached Asahina's Knightmare.

"Where are the other units?" Tohdoh asked.

"They are currently climbing up from the side…Uh?!" Senba informed but stopped when he saw Guilfod jump up and then missiles flew past him.

This caused Tohdoh, Asahina and Senba to retreat from the missiles.

Guilford looked up and was surprised to see who it was.

"The Glaston Knights?"

"Lord Guilford, our father sent us to assist you. Please head back!" Spoke Claudio.

"Are the rest of our soldiers back in the bureau?" Asked Guilford.

"Yes, they are all in their position now!" Confirmed Claudio.

"Thanks, I appreciate it!" Thanked Guilford as his Knightmare reached to the upper side of the platform and they retreated together.

"Do you know the situation?" Guilford asked.

"The enemies attacking from the front are a diversion. But if we beat them here, the rest we deal with are just militia forces. In other words, rabble" Said Claudio.

"I see"

"Also, you may want to hear this" Added Claudio.

"What is it?" Asked Guilford curious about it.

"We've got reports that Militaire Sans Frontieres and their leader, Big Boss, are withdrawing their forces"

"What? Are you sure about this? This is not a ploy between the Black Knights and Militaire Sans Frontieres?" Asked Guilford in surprise. If what the reports said is true, it would mean that MSF won't be involved and the Black Knights lost one of their best trump cards.

"Affirmative, lord Guilford. Several of our soldiers reported that he and his soldiers are leaving the Tokyo Settlement as we speak"

Guilford suddenly felt a sense of relief and hope when he heard the reports. It seemed that luck was on his side in this battle.

Meanwhile in another part of the Tokyo Settlement

….

"Tell me, where is Zero?!" Questioned Suzaku to a downed Black Knight soldier.

Suzaku went into a rampage against the enemy, but this time, he tried to disarm their Knightmares as much as possible without killing them, only resorting it if he had no other choice. Under normal circumstances he would have just killed them all, but ever since the time he spent with Big Boss and Kallen in Kamine island, he felt a sense of ease, like he realized that some of the things he had done during his time as Britannian soldier was wrong. He wouldn't want to admit it, but Big Boss's words seemed to start to influence him.

He still disagrees his creation of a mercenary nation, since they will still be hired by anyone and cause violence and destruction. But he was starting to see why people would follow him willingly, he is a man who knows very well how soldiers are treated and he only wishes for them to be valued as people and not as a pawn or tools.

Because of that, his mind was starting to open and see Zero's point of view. Suzaku started to think that maybe Zero is not a manipulative man and he truly is someone who wants freedom for the oppressed.

That is until the child known as V.V told him the contrary.

Flashback

"What? Geass?"

"Correct, Zero possess a supernatural power, a power that commands people to do his bidding"

"I-Impossible!"

"Why do you think Princess Cornelia suddenly commenced a massacre? And what you did on Shikine island?"

"T-There has to be an explanation" Suzaku tried to deny it.

"I've got proofs" V.V took out camera device and showed it to Suzaku.

He saw a video of him in the Lancelot with a gun pointing at Zero, which happened during the Shikine Island incident. He could see that Zero's left visor was open with a red bird sigil on his eye.

"Live!"

Once Zero said those words, he saw himself retreating with the Lancelot and disobeying his superiors in order to live.

The next video he saw made him feel goosebumps. He saw Cornelia on her knees, with Britannian soldiers holding her down and in front of her… was Zero.

"I command you to kill all the Japanese in the Special Administrative Zone!"

Then the video ended with Cornelia screaming in terror.

"See what I mean? Zero is a man who would do absolutely anything to get what he wants, even if it means controlling them against their will" Said V.V. Deep inside him he couldn't help but laugh at how easy it was to fool Suzaku. The "proofs" he had would be now more convincing since it was a mix of truth, and thanks to that, he could produce a false evidence by using the advanced digital tools.

Suzaku eyes were wide in shock at the revelation. He couldn't believe that this whole time, Zero was manipulating people this whole time. Who knows how many people he controlled and used them for his gain?

He clenched his fist and set a new goal, to bring Zero to justice against such crimes.

The Lancelot punched the Black Knight Knightmare. The soldier refused to answer him, causing Suzaku to get angrier.

"Damn it!" Cursed Suzaku.

"There he is!" a group of Black Knight Knightmares appeared and began shooting at the Lancelot once they spotted him.

Suzaku quickly maneuvered the Lancelot to dodge the bullets and then with the Vibration Swords, he cut them down.

Unknowingly, there were 3 more behind them, and just when they were about to shoot…

*TARATATATATATAT!*

They fell down as bullets hit them and causing the cockpits to eject.

Suzaku turned around to look who it was.

"Ishmael!" Said Suzaku in relief.

"Glad to see that you are well" Alligator spoke as his Knightmare approached the Lancelot.

"Thank you, Ishmael, I owe you one" replied Suzaku with a smile.

"No worries. Now we need to get out of here before more Black Knights appear" Suggested Alligator.

"Wait, we need to find Zero!" Urged Suzaku.

Alligator seems to understand what Suzaku wants. He assumed that he was trying to take down the leader first to disrupt the enemy command.

"It's too dangerous Suzaku. He is the commander and he will be most likely heavily guarded"

"But we must go!" Replied Suzaku impatiently.

Alligator was surprised at his outburst.

"I understand, but we must think it through reasonably!" Replied Alligator.

"There is no time! We must take him down no matter the cost!" Suzaku spoke angrily.

"Suzaku, what's gotten into you?" Asked Alligator with a concerned tone.

Suzaku groaned in stress. He decided to tell him about what he learned about Zero.

"I just learned a terrible truth. Zero has been manipulating and controlling people this whole time!"

"What do you mean?" Alligator asked.

"He-!"

"Look out!" Alligator's Knightmare quickly tackled the Lancelot when he saw a metallic knife flying straight to them.

The knife slashed the right upper arm of his Knightmare, causing a severe damage on the right arm.

"Damn it!" Cursed Alligator.

"Suzaku!" Called a female voice.

They both turned to the direction where the voice came from and it came from the top of a building. On it, they saw that it was the Guren.

"Kallen?!" Exclaimed Suzaku.

"We meet in battle again. Sorry, but this time you are going to die!" Proclaimed Kallen.

"You are all fools! You and the Japaneses are being tricked by that man!" Shouted Suzaku.

"I can't stand that kind of talk! What do you even know about Zero?!" Replied Kallen in disgust.

"I know more than you know! Tell me where Zero is!" Suzaku shouted. He then activated his slash harken to the top of the building and used it to get up there quickly.

The Lancelot was about to slash vertically with its right arm on the Guren, but Kallen used the Radiant wave to stop it.

While both were fighting each other. Alligator checked his Knightmare's status. While the rest didn't suffer much damage, the right arm suffered heavy damage, which means that he can't use the right arm.

"Damn, looks like I'll have to use the left hand for most of the battles" Said Alligator.

He then looked at the Lancelot and Guren fighting, they were fighting on the sides of the buildings with the Lancelot flying and the Guren amazingly keeping up despite not having a flying system.

Suddenly, he received a transmission. It was from Big Boss.

Alligator turned on his comm.

"Yes, Boss?"

"Alligator, give me a SITREP" Said Big Boss.

"The Black Knights have taken over 70% of the Tokyo Settlement and the Britannians are at the moment struggling against them. Right now, Suzaku and I are currently fighting against Kallen. My Knightmare is at the moment without an arm, but it will take me for a minute to adapt it." Informed Alligator.

"Good. Now, listen closely, Alligator. I'll need you to stay where you are. We are facing a crisis here and I need you to keep me informed on what Britannia is planning later" Instructed Big Boss.

"Sure. But why? Did something happen?" Asked Alligator curiously.

"Mother Base is under attack" Said Big Boss.

"What?!" Said Alligator in shock.

"I don't know the whole details, but Miller said that enemies infiltrated into our base and sabotaged our defenses, this gave an opening for whoever is attacking us the advantage to strike"

"If that is the case, I should go back and help!" Suggested Alligator.

"Sorry, but you must stay. Miller issued an evacuation and we need some of our capable staff members to ensure the safety of our members once they reach the evacuation points" Stated Big Boss.

Alligator looked conflicted, but he understands what Big Boss is saying. Whoever is invading, they will surely try to shoot them down.

"Understood, Boss" Said Alligator reluctantly.

"What about you, Boss?" He then asked to Big Boss.

"I'm on my way now to Mother Base" Replied Big Boss.

"I see. Good luck, Boss" Said Alligator in a sad tone on not being able to join and help them.

"You too, Alligator. If anything happens, keep me informed" With that Big Boss turned off his comm.

"Damn it" Cursed Alligator. He quickly tried to adjust it manually in order to get a better performance.

He pressed several commands on the panel and then the damaged arm was detached.

"Good"

Just when Alligator was about to help. He received a data on one of his Knightmare's screen.

"Right on time" Commented Alligator.

During the time when the Japanese were administrating into the special zone. Alligator got into contact with one of MSF's moles in Britannia to dig out a classified info he got when he hacked in the Britannian system.

Alligator took a quick look at it. In a second, his eyes widened in shock.

"I don't believe it" Said Alligator, his fears being confirmed.

It was a recording, that looks to be secretly recorded, and it was showing Cornelia being held by people wearing black colored cult outfit of some sort. In front of her was the emperor Charles and it showed that his eyes have a red bird shaped sigil in his eyes.

"Charles zi Britannia engraves into you… A NEW, FALSE SET OF MEMORIES!"

After that the recording was cut off.

Alligator wasn't expecting such revelation, and it was a very dangerous info he has on his hands. If anyone from Britannia, especially from the military, finds out about this, the emperor would make sure to capture anyone who knows it and rewrite their memories. It would be even more dangerous for him or anyone from MSF who are infiltrated in Britannia. Who knows which one are involved in this conspiracy?

*BOOM!*

The arm exploded in the Gurens right arm. Suzaku took this moment to ready the VARIS rifle and aimed at the Guren's right arm.

"AAAAHHH!" Kallen screamed from the impact of the VARIS.

The Lancelot was now floating on the air and facing at the Guren, which just lost the radiant wave weapon.

"Now tell me! Where is Zero?!" Demanded Suzaku.

"Like hell I will!" Retorted Kallen.

"Your main weapon has been destroyed and you are outnumbered! Surrender now, and I'll let you live" Said Suzaku.

"Screw you, I'm not telling you anything!" Insulted Kallen.

"I see… Ishmael, help me with the Guren!" Suzaku called.

"Damn it, I'm sorry Zero. I failed you" Kallen cursed internally.

Suzaku saw Ishmael's Knightmare not so far from the Guren, and was expecting him to incapacitate the Guren with his Knightmare's weapon.

Suddenly, Ishmael did something that completely caught Suzaku off guard.

Ishmael withdrew his Knightmare's riffle.

"Ishmael, what the hell are you doing?!" Asked Suzaku in disbelief.

"W-What?" Stuttered Kallen in surprise.

They were both confused, and after several seconds, Ishmael finally spoke.

"I'm sorry, Suzaku. But this is no longer my fight" Said Alligator with a regretful tone.

"What are you talking about?! We have a duty to take the Black Knights down!" Shouted Suzaku, not wanting to believe that Ishmael was possibly deserting.

"Sorry...I can't say more" Said Alligator. He then turned around and fled the place. Leaving them both dumbstruck.

Alligator really don't want to end it like this, but he had to leave in order to secure this data. At least this way, the Britannians will see him as a deserter and not a spy from MSF.

Suzaku wasn't understanding his current situation. He couldn't understand why Alligator left him. Was he deserting? "I can't say more"? What did he mean by that? All these questions were making him lose his mind with the revelation V.V gave him.

Kallen was more surprised than shocked. She didn't expect that Ishmael, the second knight of Euphemia would leave them. In her mind, It was good riddance, at least he won't be a problem for now, even though she is still handicapped after the Lancelot destroyed her Knightmares radiant wave.

Suzaku looked down at the control panel and then punched it with his fist in anger.

"God damn it!"

"Kururugi Suzaku!" Called the voice of Zero, catching Suzaku's and Kallen's attention.

Suzaku raised his head to see Mordred up in the air.

"It seems I was naïve to try and convince you to join me"

"Damn you, Zero" Cursed Suzaku not in a good mood. He was being pulled to the edge after what just happened and the last thing he wants is to have Zero mocking him.

"Would you like to settle this one-on-one to make up for my mistakes?" Proposed Zero.

"Fine with me!" Replied Suzaku angrily.

Kane Nightwolf was now at the heart city of Tokyo Settlement. He was there for a reason, help Amanda's team to get out of the Viceroy Palace and retreat to Mother Base that is under attack. Since Kane is at the nearest city where Amanda's team is, he accepted this mission and prepared to move out.

The MSF soldiers that were with him offered themselves to accompany him and help one of their own, but Kane declined it, saying that it's very difficult to infiltrate with a large group and that a solo mission is more efficient. The MSF soldiers agreed to his request and were sent to rendezvous with the others.

After preparing his loadout, he was getting on a stolen Britannian Jeep, until a voice called him…

"Mr. Kane wait!" a boy's voice was heard. When Kane turned around to see who it was, it was none other than Amanda's little brother, Chico.

" What? Aren't you Amanda's brother, Chico?" Kane asked, Chico nodded.

"How the hell did you get here?" Asked Kane. He then decided that it was not best to ask now considering the circumstances.

"No matter. Don't worry, I'll go rescue your sister, you and the kids must regroup with Big Boss and Ocelot"

"Let me come with you, I can fight!" Chico insisted while holding the MX516 "Besides you need back up!"

"Look I appreciate your bravery but this is different" Kane tried to reason with him "The whole Tokyo Settlement is in chaos and the Black Knights are on a raging battle with the Britannian Army, you will not survive out there"

"He is not alone" another voice came in and this time it was a girl, 2 more kids came out from shadows but those were not ordinary children, according to Miller and Ocelot, they were genetic engineered mutants created by that sick Britannian Scientist, Professor Simmons.

"Dafne Kinney, Akira Fugo, aren't you all supposed to be at Mother Base-" before he finished, Kane realized something.

"Wait, how did you three end up here?" Asked Kane incredulously.

"It's a long story Mr Kane. We'll tell you what happened after we rescue my sister and our comrades!" Said Chico.

"I also want to help, Shira-kaasan and Liz-oneesan saved us at Simmons' lab, it's our turn to help them!" Said Akira in a serious tone.

Their eyes are filled with determination; they will do anything to save the people that treated them as family. Kane understood their pain, how they were raised and treated them as nothing but lab rats, this is another example how the Britannian Empire has gone completely corrupted. The only hope of changing Britannia was, Euphemia Li Britannia but after Cornelia committed genocide, he wasn't sure anymore.

"Alright, hop on" Kane told them to get in the jeep but before they proceeded "But remember, i'm in charge for the rescue mission, just follow my lead"

"Wait Mr. Kane we don't need-"

"Chico listen, I know you care about your sister, believe me I do" Kane interrupted Chico, trying to make a point.

"But right now everything has gone to hell and the Tokyo Settlement has already turned into a warzone. From here on out, you all do what I say if you want your sister and everyone safe"

Dafne growled, she really didn't want to follow orders from anyone, but Akira calmed her down because Kane got a point and he's the only soldier who has experience in this kind of situation.

"Uummm, question Mr. Kane?" Asked Chico

"Go ahead"

"Aren't you also a Knightmare pilot?" Chico asked and Kane nodded "Are you sure we can survive this kind of warzone?"

"Chico my boy, you have no idea" Kane reminded his past, after being trained by a Russian fighter, Victor Boyka, Kane goes every warzones from different country that were being occupied from Britannian, how he survives every bloody battles and helping the civilians that are caught from crossfire, that is how he received his burnt scar on his left cheek.

They were all worried what he said but Kane shrugged it off, then he looks back at them with a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry...trust me"

Kane put his helmet then starts the jeep, then he heads to the location where Shira, Elizabeth and Amanda lost their contact.

30 Minutes Later, behind the Viceroy Palace

*TRATATATATATA!*

"Cover me!"

"Destroy those turrets!"

"Enemy chopper!"

"Grenade!"

Amanda and her team fought against the Britanian soldiers while taking cover behind destroyed debris.

Amanda was feeing irritated on not being able to carry her mission. They were able to reach closer to the palace, but the situation got worse when the turrets were suddenly activated and were raining down bullets at them. Not only that, but the Britannian soldiers also spotted them and were now shooting at them, not to mention that they have a huge advantage here. She and her team were practically pinned down.

Amanda peaked and fired her assault rifle, but then a bullet hit the rifle and destroyed it.

"Aah!" Groaned Amanda in pain as the impact grazed her arm.

"Amanda!" Liz and Shira approached to Amanda.

"You alright?" Shira asked while she returned the fire at the Britannians.

"Yeah, just a scratch" Breathed Amanda while taking out her handgun.

"Commander Amanda! We are pinned down. Those turrets aren't allowing us to make a move!" Contacted one of the MSF soldiers, name designated as Falcon.

"I know! We need to destroy those turrets before we can advance!" Replied Amanda as she peeked through the debris and fired at a Britannian soldier, who fell to the ground due to the impact of the bullet.

"Caiman, Bull, Raven! Prepare your M47 Dragon and aim at those turrets!" Spoke Falcon to them.

Caiman, Bull and Raven prepared their missile launchers and aimed at the turrets while avoiding the bullets and their MSF partners covering them.

They fired the missiles and went straight to the turrets.

*BOOM!*

They quickly took cover while their partners kept firing at the Britannians

Falcon looked through his scope and saw that the turrets were destroyed.

"Turrets are down!" shouted Falcon.

Amanda sighed in relief, at least now they would be able to take care of the Britannians without much trouble.

Suddenly they heard screams coming from the enemy side.

"AAAAAAAAHHHH!"

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!"

"KILL IT!"

They looked through their covers to see what it was happening and what they saw surprised them.

"Dafne?! Akira?! What are they doing here?!" Said Liz in surprise.

Dafne slashed the Britannian soldiers while Akira's body turned a bit bigger and started to tear down the Britannians.

"HUUUUUUUAAA!" Dafne roared as she stabbed one of the Britannian soldiers.

Suddenly from the right side of the Viceroy Palace. Bullets rained down on the remaining Britannian soldiers

Amanda and the rest turned around to be surprised again on who arrived. It was none other than Kane and the little boy Chico.

"Amanda!" Chico called her as he and Kane approached them.

She and the rest approached them.

"Thanks for the assist, Kane!" Said Falcon gratefully.

"Pleasure is mine, sarge" Nodded Kane.

"Chico?! What the hell are you doing here?!" Amanda shouted in concern.

"To save you! I was dead worried when you were fighting against those Britannians! Then Mr. Kane was sent to save you, so we end up tagging along with him!" Answered Chico.

"You tagging along?" she asked Chico and then looked at Dafne and Akira who were being hugged by Shira and Liz. Then she glares at the Heir of Nightwolf .

"You brought them with you, are you out of your mind?!"

"Sorry, I tried, but this kids are persistent" Kane responded, then he opened his weapon case "Besides they are not just normal kids"

"I understand Dafne and Akira but Chico is-"

"Lady Amanda, your brother is brave and he is eager to help" Kane interrupted, then he handed the extra MX516 rifle to Amanda "He has the eyes of a revolutionary, he is not a little kid anymore, he is now a grown up soldier...So please, trust him"

Amanda accepted the rifle then looks down, being a overprotecting sister is somehow strangling but she understands.

"You are right, he is grown up now like father" she remembers the old times of her, Chico and Father at FSLN .

"Thank you for saving us"

"You are welcome, lady Amanda" Said Kane, then he turned around to see Liz and Shira approaching them with Dafne and Akira behind them.

"Thanks for coming for us" Elizabeth smiles grateful then looks at Shira feeling bad for herself "Hey Shira say something"

"Uh...ummm...thanks for...saving us" Shira felt embarrassed, days ago before they arrived here in Area 11, she kept ranting on how Britannian nobles are not to be fully trusted and she thought that his family was doing some charity campaign for great image, then their deaths are actually their plot to overthrow
the Emperor. Of course, he felt offended but he just ignored her, there are other people who were having hard time believing that they are doing good for them. Sometimes the Forbidden Knights were about to argue Shira to defend Kane's reputation but good thing that Gregory ordered them to stand down and not to make a ruckus, Kane didn't want to get into trouble as well, so he decide to leave Shira be.

"I'm sorry that I'm being a total jackass on you earlier"

"Hey, you can apologize later" Kane reassures her then hands over an extra rifle to Shira and an extra pistol to Elizabeth.

"But first we have to get out of here as soon as possible" Said Kane as he reloaded his weapon.

"Why? Aren't we going to deactivate their defenses so the Black Knights can take over the palace?" Asked Amanda.

"There has been a change of plans, and we need to head elsewhere " Kane then saw 2 squads of Britannian soldiers with their weapons ready.

"Stay back!" Shouted Kane.
"OPEN FIRE, ELIMINATE THEM ALL!" The Britannian commander shouted.

But just when they were about to shoot, Kane was fast to execute his moves.

Kane readied his MX516 Custom that has tactical attachments like the Tac Scope, Laser Sight, Tactical Light, Extended Magazine and finally under barrel Grenade Launcher. Before the Britannian soldiers fired their first shots. Kane took them out with his fast aim shots then let out a grenade shot.

After taking the first squad down, Kane rushed first then throws the flash bang grenade to blind them, good thing that his helmet visor has made against flash grenades so he won't get blind. The 2nd Squad of Britannian Army were still being blind from Kane's flash grenade, Kane took this opportunity to attack them by firing in full auto.

"Clear!" Kane responded after taking out 2 squads of Britannian Army then reloads his rifle.

"That was pretty good Kane" Complimented Falcon, with Kane nodding in appreciation.
"Where are we heading?" Shira asked.

"We are heading to the harbor" Kane answered then he tried to contact somebody in his comm.

"Ocelot, can you hear me? I've found them!"

"Thank goodness we reached you, how are they?"

"They're fine, but we need to get out of here fast" the Heir of Nightwolf said, he then looked at the side of the city.

"Do we have air transport from Morpho?" Asked Kane.
"Negative, Morpho is not available right now" Ocelot responded "We still have one available helicopter to get you guys out"

"Good, let him know that we are reaching there soon" Kane replied, then he turned it off and looked at the rest.

"Come on, let's move!"

Kane, Amanda, Elizabeth, Shira, the MSF soldiers and the kids were making their move. They went to a path that leads to the harbor.

They managed to push the Britannian army away as they got closer to the harbor. Chico somehow was helping a lot, he managed to take out the enemies even if he is just a child, but Amanda was still worried about his safety, Dafne and Akira were always acting as shields to protect Shira and Elizabeth thanks to their healing abilities, the MSF soldiers were also being helpful, they covered the left and right side, as well as the rear.

As for Kane, he moved like a cat and the Britannian soldiers were having a hard time to shoot him. While evading the bullets Kane shoots back with his rifle in an extreme reflex.

"Keep moving, we are almost there!" Kane told them. Then they forced themselves to get cover at a destroyed Sutherland.

"Mr. Kane, aren't we gonna help our allies, the Black Knights?!" Chico asked, he saw the Black Knights were fighting off the Britannian army close to the Viceroy Palace where they were being pinned down by the turrets.

"Wish we could, but right now we are facing a crisis in Mother Base" Kane answered, which caused Chico, Amanda and the others to be surprised at the statement.

"What? What kind of crisis?" Amanda asked as she wants to know what is so important than helping people who are fighting for freedom.

"Mother Base is under attack again"

Their eyes were widened when Kane said the reason. Mother Base was being attacked again. Now they understand why they have to leave immediately.

"Fortunately, Zero understood our situation and let us go" Said Kane with a reassuring tone. They were feeling relieved that Zero didn't hold any grudge for leaving him.

*BOOOM*

Kane saw another squad of Britannian soldiers arriving from the harbor. but they were not alone, there was a lone Sutherland guiding them, so Kane have some plan.

"Akira, you can still fly in 30 Ft?" Kane asked, he then took out something from his backpack.

"Yes Mr. Kane" Akira answered but he tilted his head in confusion "But why?"

"Here, when you fly up, drop this on top of the Sutherland's head" He hands over the C4 to Akira. This was what Big Boss uses for demolition. Then he turned at Dafne "Wait my signal, then we rush straight to finish them off, so go wild"

Dafne smirks, she understood what he meant. She retracted her claws ready to strike. Shira somewhat did not agree with this.

"Kane, what the hell are you doing?!" Shira grabs Kane's arm for answers "I thought that we were ordered not to help the Black Knights"

"No, we won't. But that's the only way we get to the extraction" Kane pointed out, then Shira let go his arm "Chico, use that Rocket Launcher and aim at the Sutherland and the rest of you cover us"

"Si, Mr. Kane!" Chico acknowledge then aim his RPG-7 at the Sutherland while Liz and the MSF soldiers nodded and readied their rifles.

"I hope you know what you're doing, Kane" Amanda reluctantly said, then readied her M516 rifle.

"Trust me Lady Amanda" Kane reassures her, then looks at Akira and gives him a nod "Akira now"

Akira nodded, he flew without the Britannians noticing him. When he finally reached on top of the Sutherland, Akira drops the C4 and it sticks on the top of the Sutherland's head.

Then Kane pressed the button of the C4 detonator.

*BOOOOM*

"SHIT, THE HEAD IS DAMAGED AND I'M BLIND HERE!" the pilot panicked.

This was the signal what Kane was talking about, he looked at Dafne then nods, gesturing her 'is go time'. Kane and Dafne rushed straight at the Britannian squad.

"KILL THEM!"

*RATATATATATATATATATA*

The Britannian soldiers shoots at Kane and Dafne. Amanda, Chico, Shira, Elizabeth and the MSF soldiers opened fire at the Britannians, taking out 5 enemy soldiers while Kane fires back taking out 4. Then proceed to give new orders.

"Dafne, take out the rest!" Kane orders Daphne and she nodded "I'll take care of that incapacitated Knightmare"

Dafne's eyebrow raised in confusion at his plan, how was he was going to deal an Knightmare? But she decides to shrug it. She sprinted straight ahead of Kane, the Britannian soldeirs were keep firing their guns but Dafne let out all of her claws and her inner beast. She jumps to pounce on 2 Britannian
soldiers in front of her, she upper slash to slit the throat at the one that tried to shoot her in point blank then spins to stab the one behind her, impaling his head. Next, she goes to two slash at 3 soldiers trying to throw some grenades. After killing the grenadiers, she kicked one grenade at the sandbag where one Britannian Soldier was covered to reload his rifle but it's too late, the grenade is now beside him…

"Son of a bit-"

*BOOOM*

After taking out the stragglers, the headless Sutherland had no idea what's going on so he keeps on shooting like a maniac, hoping he hits something. Kane saw this opportunity and he reached to the Sutherland, he slides between the Knightmare's legs shooting in full lead at the joint parts underneath, causing the Sutherland to drop down because of the damaged joints. When Kane stopped his sliding, he aimed his rifle at the back part where the cockpit is, then he let out a powerful glowing blue grenade round, killing the pilot inside. It is revealed that his rifle is loaded with Celerium rounds in case he fights without his Knightmare Veltro. That caused Chico, Akira and everyone else mouths gape. He has the experience to dealt Knightmares on foot.

After destroying the Knightmare and taking out the whole squad, Kane reloads his rifle with new magazines and grenade round then suddenly looks at them with a confused look.

"What?"

"That was amazing!" Said Falcon in awe.

"Wow Mr. Kane, you are awesome!" Chico praised him.

"For a former Britannian noble, you are one hell of a soldier" Shira complimented with a smirk.

"Well, I am a Nightwolf after all" He replies. Then he pulls the lever of MX516 Rifle

"My family were born to fight and protect for the great Britannia Empire"

"But not so great right now, since Charles Zi Britannia became the Emperor" Shira hissed, Kane didn't mind what she said because the Empire that he and his family knew was nothing but complete disgrace

"Shira, for god sake" Liz elbowed her lover and that caused Shira to feel bad.

"Oh shit, sorry I didn't mean to-"

"No it's fine, I'm not offended about that and besides this empire is nothing but disgrace" Kane reassured her, then he looked at the Britannian insignia on the destroyed Sutherland making him growl "Let's go we are almost there"

Kane went ahead first, Amanda, Shira, Eliza and the MSF soldiers looked with gloomy face feeling sorry for the Heir of Nightwolf while Akira flew down to reunite with Dafne and Chico.

It was no secret in Mother Base that Kane's family was assassinated by the very empire the swore to protect.

5 minutes later they finally reached to harbor. They then went to a warehouse and Kane instructed them to watch over the area in case there were any enemy.

"Alright, were here now" Kane contacted Ocelot.

"Good, but Kane, I've got some bad news. The chopper can't land where you guys are located. We have received news that the Britannian navy are arriving to the harbor and are aware that MSF forces are there. They won't hesitate to bomb the site once they arrive. You will have to choose another landing point" Informed Ocelot.

"Shit" Kane cursed, then he checked through a prototype map hologram made by Sam.

"I've got it. Have the chopper arrive to this coordinates" Spoke Kane as he started to send the coordinates to Ocelot.

"Alright, this can work. I suggest you hurry up!" Said Ocelot.
"Understood!" Kane turned off his comm and spoke to his group.

"Guys, we've got a problem. A Britannian navy is on its way and they are aware of our presence. So, the chopper's landing point is going to be somewhere else!"

"Damn it, this day is getting more frustrating!" Said Shira in anger.

"I know, Shira. But unfortunately, this kind of things happen. I've pointed our where the landing site is going to be" Kane then pointed to the west side of the harbor.

"Over there, next to that building there is a site big enough for a landing. It's not far away, so we will be able to reach to that place in a few minutes" Said Kane.

"Let's go! I'll make sure no one is following us!" Said Kane as he motioned them to head there first.

They all nodded and proceeded to go to that site.

Suddenly, Kane noticed something flying to the harbor.

His eyes widened as he identified what it was. A stray missile coming from the Viceroy Palace.

"Shit!" Kane saw that the missile wasn't heading to the group, but to his direction.

*BOOM!*

When the missile exploded, it caused a large flame that blocked the path between Amada's group and Kane.

The group stopped in surprise with the explosion, but then they realized in horror that Kane was behind them.

"Kane!" Amanda shouted.

"Amanda!" Kane shouted.

"Are you alright?!"

"I'm fine! I suggest you all go ahead!" Said Kane.

"But we can't leave you, mr Kane!" Shouted Chico.

"Don't worry about me! I'll find my way there! I promise!" Replied Kane.

The 2 siblings reluctantly nodded.

"Alright! Good luck Kane, promise that you will!" Shouted Amanda.

"I will! Now go!"

With that, the group departed.

Just when Kane was about to turn around, somebody pointed a gun at the back of his head.

"Don't move" The voice of a Britannian girl was heard behind him

"So, you are the one who slaughtered those search team, you bastard. Turn around slowly."

Kane turns around slowly and got a good look at the maiden who was pointing the pistol at him.

She is blonde with twisted pigtails, has a mole on her right cheek, and green eyes. She wears a unique Britannian officer uniform. A white button sleeveless shirt, a red long-sleeve jacket, a black and red corset and a combination worn over a short white skirt and finally she wears a military officer-style cap when wearing her unique outfit. That means she is some kind of Knight from a different division. She is not only armed with a Britannian standard pistol, she has a sword holster on her left hip but Kane noticed something.

"She looks kinda similar to Orpheus" Kane though. Ever since he joined MSF and meeting the staff, he a met another newcomer that belonged to the group called the Peace Maker and their main operator is Orpheus, also known as Oz.

"Now drop those weapons, do anything stupid and you will regret it" the Blonde Britannian Girl threatened Kane.

"Okay, I'll take off my shotgun sling on my shoulder"

He took out the sling then holds his SPAS-12 in both of his hands, when he was about to drop his shotgun, he noticed her gaze at the corpses. That would be his opportunity to strike. He used the stock that has a hook at the end and hooked her hand that was armed with her pistol. Then pulled to force her drop her pistol. After losing her gun, she steps back then armed herself with the sword to fight back. but Kane already had his gun pointed at her.

"Damn you, disarming my firearm, so you could force me to fight with a sword while you are armed with a gun" she snarled then lowered her sword in defeat " Disgusting, just like the terrorist"

"I can shoot you, right here, right now. But you thought wrong about me and MSF" Kane still aimed his SPAS-12 at her but he decided to lower it "We are not terrorist and I too know how to fight fair"

Kane pumps the slugs out until it's empty, then used his shotgun as a spear and went into a fighting stance. The Britannian girl's eyes widened, she thought that all the enemies of Britannia are mostly terrorists and mercenaries. She thought they are the same, but this man wants to fight her fair and square.

She attacked first with a thrusting attack, but Kane hit it with his shotgun with a right hit, causing her to stumble right, next she proceeded to upper slash, Kane slammed his shotgun down to stop her attack then hooked her arm to force her up, he performed a spinning move while hooking her arm to cause her stumble back. She yelps while shocked on how he moved. He moved like a Britannian warrior and now they're on a distance.

"You're good but that sword skill needs work" He complimented while on a fighting stance.

"For a gun for hire, you are good" She started to praise him "Tell me, are you a Britannian knight?"

"Go find out yourself" Kane decided to attack first and this time she is in her defensive stance. He performed the one two combos hit on her arms. Then spins to hit her stomach, she recoiled and kept her distance after seeing how good he is. Kane decided to end this duel and ran straight to her since he was wasting a lot of time now. She attacked again, even with the pain from her arm. When she raised her sword for a horizontal slash, he placed his left leg to lock her right leg then tackled her, she tripped on her back and then he slammed his SPAS-12 on her sword and…
*BANG* *BANG*

Kane used his Killer 7 once again to shoot her, but missed on purpose.

She was sweating like hell, she thought she was gonna die. Now the laser point light is pointed on her forehead.

"Sorry, I wanted to continue this duel a little bit longer, but I've got to go and…huh?" Kane noticed something, he saw what she was wearing, a necklace that looks like a key with a wolf head design but it's in half. Somehow, he knew that necklace.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked with venom

"Where did you get that?" Kane points his finger at her necklace.

"Why do you care? it's none of your business" the blonde Britannian girl snarled.

"I just want to know why a noble knight like you have a low cost trinket"

"This is not just a trinket, this is a real treasure for me" she said while holding her necklace "An important person gave this to me, so I will not get this off me, even in my cold corpse"

Kane started to piece it together, he remember that necklace, it was a momento for a great friendship, it was whole but detached in half because the another one is to another important person… Then he connected it.

"it can't be...Oldrin?" Kane whispered, he knows who she is...that pigtail Britannian girl who is so close to him is none other than Oldrin Zevon.

Oldrin tilted her head in confusion, somehow, he knows her name.

*COMMS ON*

"Kane, where are you?!" Amanda called him " The chopper has arrived and we are waiting for you!"

"I'm on my way, got a little busy here" he replied while pointing his Killer 7 at Oldrin.

"You've better hurry, the pilot just informed us that the Britannian reinforcement ships are firing their cannons and it's gonna hit in that area where the harbor is!" Amanda explained the situation.

Kane's eyes underneath of his helmet were completely wide, those Britannian ships are going to fire without knowing that one of their own are still here, he needed to act fast and save Oldrin out of this area.

*CRASH*

A Gloucester jumped down and landed in front of them, but this is a modified one, with an attached floating unit and it has designs of the Knights of Round.

"Oldrin, I've finally found you!" the voice of a women spoke through the speakers, then the Gloucester saw Kane pointing his gun at Oldrin

"YOU! GET AWAY FROM HER!"

The modified Gloucester fired at Kane without hitting Oldrin, he did an acrobatic move like front flip and double backflipped to evade the shots.

After evading those shots, he hid behind the walls of a warehouse.

"Monica, I'm glad you're here!" Oldrin was relieved that her fellow comrade and friend has arrived.

"What the...Monica? She is a Knight of Round?" Kane was shocked that not only he finally met Oldrin but another important person in his life as well, Monica Krushevsky.

"I'm glad you're alright as well, but we better get out of here" Monica informed Oldrin.

"I've got a word from the Admiral in the fleet that they are gonna bomb this area"

"Wait, we need to get the man I've encountered! We should capture him and get information out of him about Big Boss and Militaire Sans Frontieres!" Suggested Oldrin.

"Leave him, we are out of time" the Knight of Twelve replied.

"Let him die from our fire cannon, we can capture any of them another time"

She nodded, she didn't have time to capture and interrogate him. Monica's Gloucester hand lowered down so she can hop on it, once Oldrin is on the hand, Monica's Gloucester used its Float Unit to fly away, but Oldrin took one look at the warehouse and still thought on why he knows her name.

Kane finally calmed down his nerves. Oldrin and Monica were now at least safe from artillery bombing.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

*COMMS ON*

"KANE IT HAS BEGUN!" Amanda shouted "WE HAVE TO GO NOW!"

"I'M GOING, BUT TELL THE PILOT TAKE OFF!" Kane replied and started to run.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN?!" Shira this time was talking through his comms "HELL NO, WE CAN'T LEAVE YOU!"

"NO YOU ARE NOT, JUST FLY AWAY!" he said then goes on the road "HEAD TO THE END OF THE PLATFORM!"

"ALRIGHT WE WILL WAIT FOR YOU THERE!" Amanda understood then tells the pilot "VAMONOS!" (Let's go)

"OKAY!" The pilot answered.

Kane rushed and used his parkour skills to avoid the destroyed cars, Britannian vehicles, destroyed Knightmares and avoiding the ship ordinance too. When he reached to the edge of the city platform, he saw the MSF Hind-D flew by and ready to pick him up, but suddenly the ordinance hits the ground and then platform gives in and Kane falls.

"NOOOO!" Amanda shouted

"MR. KANE!" Chico joined too.

The MSF soldiers were also looking in shock. Shira and Elizabeth hugged each other when they saw Kane fell.

He was able to catch the metal pipe that was attached to the ground. Since he saw the platform is on the side position, he had no choice but to let go of the pipe then slide down while the cities were starting to fall, Kane barely avoided the falling cities and destroyed Knightmares, but when he reached to the edge, is nothing but a cliff now. The MSF Hind-D flew low to chase Kane where he fell, then the pilot called him.

"HEY, JUMP FOR IT!" Kane understood he was is out of platforms to slide down. He then used all his strength to jump and reach the MSF Hind-D.

Kane was finally at the door hatch of the Hind-D, but started to slip and was about to fall until Amanda and Chico grabbed his right and pulled him inside. After retrieving Kane, the Hind-D flew away from Tokyo Settlement.

"Yo, that was one hell of a rescue mission you got there!" The pilot said in a surprised tone

" You did a great job at saving Amanda and the others"

"Si, if wasn't for him, we would be dead right now" Amanda pat Kane's shoulder "Gracias, Kane"

"Gracias Mr. Kane" Chico thanked Kane, then gives the modified Rifle back to his owner, Kane pat Chico's head.

The MSF soldiers approached him and thanked him too for saving them.

"Thank you for coming for us, Kane" Said Falcon gratefully.

"Yeah, we owe you one" Added Raven.

Kane let out a small smile and nodded.
"Thanks again Kane" Shira again was thankful to Kane while holding Liz's hand.

"I don't know would have happened, if we died back there" Liz said then lookd at Dafne and Akira sleeping beside Kane "Dafne and Akira would have lost their parents once again"

"Hey, it's my job after all, and my first mission" Kane replied then looked at the pilot

"Thanks for the extraction. You are one hell of a pilot"

"Heh, what can I say, I'm a crazy pilot" the Pilot smirked then looked at Kane "by the way, call me Pequod, at your service"

Kane nodded then looked at the window, then the comms went on. It was still static but they can still hear it. it was Kazuhira Miller. He informs everyone to head back to the Mother Base, Amanda and the others received the transmission as well.

"So, what now?" Pequod asked after Miller's distress call.

"Take Amanda and others straight to Mother Base" Kane responded.

"What about you?"

"Drop me at Eliza's ship, I'm gonna retrieve my Knightmare Veltro" Kane answered, he look still looked at the window, watching at the horizon still thinking about what would happen if Oldrin and Monica meets him at the battlefield...

Ashford Academy

The Lancelot followed the Gawain to Ashford Academy, where the Gawain suddenly stopped in midair, specifically on the Council members room.

"You've taken hostages?! Some one-on-one fight this is!" Said Suzaku furiously.

"That's entirely your own fault for rejecting my offers to join us" Replied Lelouch, then on the screen he saw Sayoko hiding behind the tress.

"Now, regret this ridiculous set of aesthetics you cling to!" Said Lelouch as he aimed at the Lancelot.

"Zero!" Suzaku charged at the Gawain. The Gawain shot at Lancelot, but he dodged it by landing to the ground and dash to it.

"Go!" C.C ordered to Sayoko, who pressed a trigger, which activated a trap for the Lancelot.

The Lancelot suddenly lost its power once it entered in the field.

"What?!" Exclaimed Suzaku. He then saw the devices, the same ones that were used to trap him before.

"Zero! You trick people to the very end! You betray them!" Barked Suzaku.

"I don't have time to argue who is the bigger hypocrite here" Scoffed Lelouch. Then the Gawain started to fly away to the bureau.

"Farewell, Kururugi Suzaku"

"DAMN IT!" Suzaku cursed as he punched the control panel.

Back to the Tokyo settlement, the viceroy palace

The Britannians were preparing themselves against the enemy forces, although many were feeling nervous and were losing a bit of hope after the initial attack.

They snapped out of their thoughts when Guilford and the Glaston Knights arrived.

"Time to raise the morale" Thought Guilford.

"Men, hear me out!" Spoke Guilford through the speaker, catching the attentions of all the soldiers.

"This may be our final stand, but do not fear! We've got good news. Our reinforcements are arriving at this very moment. So, as long as we hold the line, we'll be able to push them back!" This one seemed to raise the Britannian soldiers' spirits, but many were still feeling hopeless.

"Not just that… I have also received reports that Militaire Sans Frontieres and their leader Big Boss have left the Black Knights!" This one caught the attention of every Britannian soldiers.

"I'm not sure what really happened, but it is very clear that they left the Black Knights and they won't be attacking us any longer!" This raised the soldier's morals greatly.

"Now is our chance…. to fight back!" Shouted Guilford, followed by cheers and roars from the soldiers.

"Lord Guilford, the Black Knights have arrived, as well as the Gawain!" informed Claudio.

"Activate the turrets!" Commanded Guilford.

Moments later, the turrets appeared on the sides of the bureau and started to rain bullets on all the Black Knights forces.

"Lord Guilford!"

Guilford turned around to see that a Britannian Knightmare was approaching him.

"Guilford, enemy forces are attacking from behind! Look's like a small force of Militaire Sans Frontieres!"

"What?" Said Guilford in shock. He wondered if this was part of their plan, to fake retreat to let his guard down and then attack where he would least expect.

"How's the situation?"

"We are surprisingly holding them off! The turrets and several of our soldiers are engaging them as we speak!" Said the Britannian soldier.

Guilford internally felt relieved. If they can hold them off longer, the reinforcement would arrive soon.

While they were firing at the Black Knights, the Gawain approached in midair.

"Their defenses are as stiff as I expected" Commented Lelouch.

"Should you really be so laid back about this? Enemy reinforcements are arriving. If they start bombing us, it's all over." Said C.C as the screen showed an army of Britannian aircrafts approaching from behind the bureau.

Lelouch just chuckled, he put his hands on the controls of the Gawain.

"Our energy's filler has been replenished, hasn't it?" Said Lelouch ready to fire the Gawain's cannon at the aircrafts.

Once it was ready, the Gawain fired at them.

"Guilford, the Gawain!" Claudio warned to Guilford.

He looked up to see the Gawain decimating the reinforcements.

Guilford snarled at seeing it. Then he saw the Gawain flying from above the bureau. He had a feeling that Zero would most likely attack them from the other sides or from above.

"Claudio, hold this position! Don't let the Black Knights destroy our turrets!" Ordered Guilford.

"Understood, lord Guilford, but what will you do?"

"I'm going after the Gawain" Said Guilford while focusing on the Gawain.

"But lord Guilford, are you sure about this? The Gawain is a powerful knightmare!" Said Claudio.

"I know. But someone must stop it before It destroys us"

Claudio looked a bit conflicted. On one hand, he wanted to tell Guilford that going against the Gawain is suicide, but on the other hand, they need to stop the Gawain from attacking from the other direction and the ones who had more experience on fighting are both Guilford and Darlton.

"Hold on, Guilford!" The two turned to see that it was Darlton approaching.

"If you are going to face against Zero, then we should both go. We are Cornelia's knight, if we fight together, we may stand a chance against it!" Suggested Darlton.

"Darlton, I wish you could go with me, but we need someone here to command our troops!" replied Guilford.

"Don't worry, my lord! We Glaston Knights will take care of the command!" Spoke Claudio.

Darlton and Guilford looked at him. They wanted to argue, but time was being wasted as the Gawain was on top of the bureau.

"Very well. Darlton, let's move!" Guilford quickly said as he used his Knightmare and dashed to the top of the palace.

They used their slash harken to reach to the top. While they were on it, Guilford received a transmission from someone he knew... The Knight of Nine, Nonette Eneagram.

"Lord Guilford! How's your status?!" Asked Nonette.

"Lady Nonette! Glad to hear from you! Our soldiers are holding the defenses while waiting for the reinforcements!" Replied Guilford.

"We are also going after Zero! He has the Gawain floating on top of the palace, most likely to attack us from above. So, we are going to try to stop him!" Added Darlton.

Nonette was silent for a bit while thinking what they said. Fighting against the Gawain is almost a suicide mission. But then, she thought that it may be a good opportunity. If they can stall Zero, she and the reinforcements may arrive in time.

"Understood. Know that new Britannian reinforcements and I are almost there. So, survive as long as you can!" Said Nonette.

"Yes, my lady!" Both Guilford and Darlton said.

Moments later, the Gawain landed on top of the palace, which looks like a large garden. Lelouch was curious at the garden when he first saw it on air, so he decided to land to take a look at it before taking over the palace.

"This place, looks like…" Muttered Lelouch.

"Yes. Aries Villa" Said C.C, which surprised Lelouch.

"How do you know that?" Questioned Lelouch.

C.C didn't reply for a second, as if she was hesitating.

"… I'll tell you some day, when the time comes" C.C responded.

Lelouch looked suspiciously at C.C, wondering what kind of secrets was C.C hiding.

"Zero, you've finally shown your face"

Lelouch and C.C looked to the screen to see who it was.

It was Guilford and Darlton.

"Gilbert Guilford, Andreas Darlton… Fancy meeting both of you here" Said Lelouch with a humored tone.

"The feelings not mutual, Zero. We are going to put a stop of this rebellion of yours" Said Guilford with venom since Zero was the one who shot Cornelia.

"And avenge our princess, Cornelia!" Added Darlton.

"Cornelia was a murderer; all I did was deliver the justice that she deserved for such crime" Stated Lelouch.

"No, Zero! You are wrong!" Protested Darlton.

"We know her highness very well! She would never do such a thing, especially with what she had done to princess Euphemia! Something must had happened to her!" barked Guilford. Although they are trying to discuss with Zero, this is actually part of their plan on stalling Zero until reinforcements arrives.

Lelouch thought about it and he was tempted to discuss about it, but he figured that it was just a waste of time.

"There is nothing else to talk about what Cornelia had done. She is no better than Clovis, slaughtering innocent Japanese in the ghettos and showing their superiority over conquered Areas" Stated Lelouch.

The statement infuriated Darlton and Guilford. It is true that Cornelia killed all the civilians in the Saitama Ghetto, but she was not like those greedy nobles. She was one of the most noble princess out of all the other Britannian princesses, she always wanted to maintain peace for her nation and cared for her family, especially her sister Euphemia and the deceased Lady Marianne whom she greatly admires.

"We are done with this topic; it is time to show our independence to Britannia!" Proclaimed Lelouch as he activated the slash harkens on both Gawain's fingers and shot at them.

Darlton and Guilford spread to the opposite directions and dashed to attack the Gawain on both sides. The Gawain tried to spin so the slash harkens can slash circularly, but due to the giant size and being a prototype, it spined slowly.

Thanks to the Gloucesters landspinners, they were able to circle around the Gawain and dodging its attacks carefully.

"Now, Darlton!" Shouted Guilford. Darlton understood what Guilford was planning.

Guilford dashed forward with sword aimed horizontally at the Gawains left leg, while Darlton aimed with the lance at the other leg.

*SLASH!*

Guilford slashed the leg and Darlton hit the other leg, which caused a good damage.

"Damn it!" Cursed Lelouch as he tried attack again with the slash harkens.

But they both dodged the attack and dashed away.

Darlton and Guilford proceeded to shoot at the Gawain with their rifles. Darlton aimed to the body while Guilford aimed to the arms.

"I thought the specs on this thing were overwhelming!" Cursed Lelouch again, feeling dumb for facing them head straight with the Gawain. He then changed the Gawain to flight mode which is more efficient for fighting.

"Damn, it took flight and it's too far away for our slash harkens!" Said Guilford.

Then they saw the Gawain charging its Hadron Cannon.

"Darlton! Look out!" Warned Guilford. Darlton quickly maneuvered his Knightmare and they both quickly dashed away to avoid the cannon.

"They are like annoying flies!" Commented Lelouch as he tried to aim at them. Using his mind, he managed to calculate their trajectory and follow which movements they would take.

"Got you!" Said Lelouch as he managed to aim at least one, at this moment he was aiming at Darlton.

But just when he was about fire, something unexpected happened…

*BOOM!*

Something landed on the garden, catching their attention. But the impact caused a small smoke around, covering it.

"What the?" Said Darlton with a confused tone.

The smoke started to dissipate and they were surprised to see who it was.

It was a Knightmare on its knees, a Gloucester model with revolvers and with the MSF logo on its shoulder.

"Sorry for the interruption, gentlemen" Spoke the unmistaken voice of Ocelot through the speaker as his Knightmare stood up.

"Militaire Sans Frontieres?!" Asked Darlton in surprise.

"What the? What are you doing here, Ocelot?" Asked Lelouch incredulously, he thought that all MSF forces had left.

"Ocelot?" Wondered Guilford hearing for the first time that name.

"I was fighting against…THAT" Ocelot pointed behind the Gawain.

They all turned around, to see that a giant orange spherical Knightmare appear slowly from below.

"ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!" Boomed the voice of Jeremiah Gottwald.

"That voice…!" Said Darlton in shock as he recognized that voice

"Jeremiah Gottwald?!" Finished Guilford.

Jeremiah looked down at them and to his surprise he saw the Gawain and through it, Zero.

"What? Could it be? Zero?! Fate is really blessing me today!" Shouted Jeremiah happily, then he saw Darlton and Guilford.

"My, my, it's a pleasure to see you again, my lords!" Greeted Jeremiah.

"Jeremiah! B-But how?! You died!" Questioned Guilford.

"Oh yes, I did die. But thanks to our scientists, I was brought back to life. And I must say, I have never felt so alive!" Said Jeremiah in glee.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Darlton with caution.

"Oh do not worry, I'm not here to kill you or Guilford, we are both on the same side after all!" Reassured Jeremiah, then he focused on the Gawain and Leopardus.

"I have a serious score to settle with these two, Zero and Ocelot!" Claimed Jeremiah.

15 minutes earlier

…

Outside of the battlefield, Ocelot and 5 Ocelot units were clearing the area of their main hidden base in Japan in order to prepare for the arrival of the evacuated MSF staff members. So far, they were able to set a road, which isn't long fortunately, and station some MSF soldiers for the protection.

"Everything clear?" Asked Ocelot.

"All clear, commander!" Replied one of the Ocelot Units.

"Good, any strange activity or hostiles around, inform me quickly"

"Yes, sir!"

Ocelot then looks his surroundings. They were currently in the north-west side of the Tokyo Settlement and it was chaotic. Burned buildings, explosions, bullets firing everywhere and the rebels getting very close to the Viceroy Palace.

"Rebellion at its finest" commented Ocelot.

"Commander Ocelot! We've got a signal!" Suddenly spoke one of the Ocelot units.

"What kind of signal?"

"It seems that it's coming from the…underground?" Replied the Ocelot unit with a bit of uncertainty

"Underground?" Wondered Ocelot. "Where is it located?"

"It's… a few miles from you on the east side!" Informed the Ocelot Unit.

Right after he said that, the whole ground exploded and debris spread around.

"What the?!" Said Ocelot in surprise.

Then from the smoke, it emerged the giant Knightmare, Siegfried, and it was facing at the Viceroy Palace direction.

"ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!" The voice of Jeremiah boomed around the area.

"What the hell is that?" Wondered Ocelot, seeing for the first time this type of Knightmare.

Jeremiah then heard a small beep from the Knightmare, indicating that it detected a Knightmare. He turned around to see a very familiar Knightmare.

"You…You! I know you! You are that Militaire Sans Frontieres Knightmare with the revolvers…Ocelot!" Announced Jeremiah.

"That voice… You are that member from the purist faction, Jeremiah Gottwald, aren't you?" Said Ocelot, a bit surprised to see this guy again.

"What luck! What fate! What are the odds to find one of the people who made fun of me!" Marveled Jeremiah with a crazed tone.

"He seems to have lost his mind… great" Muttered Ocelot with annoyance. It seems that this fight is going to be hard.

"I shall enjoy disposing you, prepare yourself!" Jeremiah then charged at Ocelot.

Ocelot then quickly dashed to the left side to dodge the attack. He went behind the debris of a building and took cover

"Damn, it's fast" Said Ocelot in amazement. He then drew out his revolvers and twirled them for a moment.

"OCELOT!" Jeremiah shouted as he charged at him again.

Ocelot maneuvered his Knightmare and jumped to the left side, which lead him to the street that goes to the Viceroy Palace.

"I've got to get him away from the route we secured" Thought Ocelot. They need all the men available in case of an emergency. So, he decided to lead him away, and get him in to the battlefield. That way, the Black Knights will get into conflict with him and to get him off of his hands.

Ocelot twirled his revolvers again and aimed at the Siegfried.

*BANG!* *BANG!*

Jeremiah right cybernetic eyes shined as he saw the bullets.

"I SEE THEM!"

Suddenly the Siegfried dodged the bullets with a lot of ease and faster.

"What?!" Said Ocelot dumbstruck.

Then the Siegfried shot one of its spikes at him.

"Shit!" Ocelot quickly dashed away to the Viceroy Palace. The spike missed the target, but it was retracted to the Siegfried.

"You won't escape!" Jeremiah shouted, then he started to chase him.

Ocelot started to think on what just happened. It looked like he could see where the bullets were going, hence why he said "I see them", very similar to the AI weapon Chrysalis. He also deduced that this Knightmare is a lot faster than any other Knightmares and the spikes worked like the slash harkens.

"Prepare to meet your doom!" Shouted Jeremiah as he started to spin the Siegfried and then charged at Ocelot at full speed.

"Ugh!" Ocelot quickly made his Knightmare jump to the left side of the road and landed on the ground.

The Siegfried clashed to the ground and rolled through the road, creating a large trail of destroyed debris.

"This time, I'm more powerful than before!" The Siegfried flew up and started to find Ocelot.

Ocelot then aimed with his right revolver and fired one bullet at the Siegfried. But the Siegfried detected it very quickly and as expected it dodge them with ease.

"There you are!" The Siegfried then charged at Ocelot's direction.

"Here he comes!" Muttered Ocelot as he prepared himself.

Just when the Siegfried was about to collide, Ocelot took action.

"Ha!" His Knightmare jumped upward and with the slash harken he attached it on the Siegfried's upper body. He then quickly pulled itself up and was now holding on top of the Siegfried's upper body.

"What?!" Said Jeremiah in shock.

"Take this!" Ocelot aimed with his left revolver at the Siegfried's head and fired it at point blank range.

*BANG!*

Ocelot unloaded all the bullets of the revolver.

"Ugh!" Jeremiah groaned. He checked and saw that the Siegfried sustained 30% damage on the head, but it didn't completely damage.

"Ha! Ingenious, but futile!" Said Jeremiah with a smirk.

Then the Siegfried started to rotate again to shake Ocelot off.

Ocelot held the Siegfried with all his knightmare's strength in order to not fall. He then remembered that they were close to the Viceroy Palace. If he can calculate the time and moment, he could land safely without sustaining a lot of damage, but that would mean getting Zero in a compromised position since the Gawain is still there.

"Sorry, Zero. But I'll have to use this situation in my favor" Thought Ocelot almost pitifully.

As the Siegfried rotated furiously, Ocelot waited for the enough force and moment to launch himself to the Viceroy Palace.

"Now!" Ocelot then detached his slash harken and let go of the Knightmare. He flew to the top of the palace and quickly adjusted his Knightmare for the impact.

He managed to land with ease despite the crater he caused.

"Sorry for the interruption, gentlemen"

Back to the present

…

"But now that I see that Zero is here, I think I'll consider my option and go after YOU! Jeremiah said to Zero.

Then he turned to Ocelot.

"Looks like it's your lucky day, Ocelot. You are free from my grasp for now… When I'm done with Zero, we will resume our fight!" Jeremiah clamed while pointing at him.

"I'd like to see you try" Spoke Ocelot with a smirk. He does like some challenge once in a while.

Jeremiah then turned to the Gawain.

"Since you were the first to mock me, I'll give you the honor to die by my hands!" Jeremiah then activated the controls of the Siegfried and charged at the Gawain.

"Ugh!" Yelped Lelouch.

The Siegfried collided against the Gawain and were both launched outside of the Palace.

"What the hell is this thing?!" Said Lelouch incredulously at the power of this Knightmare.

The Gawain was able to slip away from the Siegfried and tried to get some distance in order to hit it with the Gawain's cannon.

"This is so annoying!" Complained C.C as she tried to maneuver the Gawain but the Siegfried continued its chase.

"Ugh!" C.C suddenly had a small pain, almost like a headache.

"C.C, what's wrong?!" Asked Lelouch with a concerned tone.

C.C's eyes then widened and then turned her head to Lelouch.

"Lelouch, your little sister has been kidnapped!"

Lelouch then looked in shock.

"C.C this is no time for jokes!" Reprimanded Lelouch.

"It is true! I don't know how, but I just know it!" Replied C.C urgently.

Lelouch's face turned into disbelief. C.C was being genuine on this.

"Where?" Asked Lelouch with a hardened expression.

"She is heading to Kamine island!"

"Kamine island?" Said Lelouch as he remembered that island.

Suddenly the Gawain was clashed again by the Siegfried.

"ZERO!" Screamed Jeremiah.

"Cannon fodder! I don't have time for you!" Lelouch shouted as he pressed several commands on the panel.

With Ocelot

…

"Looks like my plan is a success" Commented Ocelot. Just when he was about to withdraw, Darlton and Guilford stopped him with their guns, prompting him to draw his revolver.

"Halt!" Stopped Guilford. They were now in a stalemate.

"We should take you down and capture you for questioning" Said Darlton.

"Really? You should know that we MSF are currently not with the Black Knights" Replied Ocelot.

"So you are claiming to be neutral in this affair?" Questioned Guilford.

"That depends. We MSF are always open for any contracts" Inquired Ocelot.

"Huh, do you really expect us to hire scums like you?" Scoffed Darlton.

Ocelot just smirked, already knowing the answer from the beginning.

"No, of course not" Ocelot then aimed at the legs of the 2 Knightmares and shot at the vital parts.

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*

"Ugh!"

The 2 Knightmares lost balance and fell on the ground.

Ocelot was now able to incapacitate both Darlton and Guilford. But just then, his Knightmare beeped, and the radar indicated a massive concentration of forces coming from the north.

It was the Britannian reinforcements.

"Time to leave" Ocelot was about to withdraw until a voice called him.

"Hold it right there!"

Ocelot looked up to see that it was a Gloucester Knightmare standing on top of a small building, one that looks very familiar, as well as the voice.

"Lady Nonette!" Said Darlton in surprise.

"You've made it in time!" Added Guilford.

"You have both done well holding it this long" Complimented Nonette as her Knightmare jumped and landed in front of Guilford.

"Leave quickly. I'll handle him!" Spoke Nonette.

"Yes, my lady!" They both managed to have their Knightmare dash away despite the damages caused by Ocelot.

"Knight of Nine, Nonette Eneagram" Said Ocelot slightly surprised.

Nonette would have answered him the way she did when they first met, but right now she wasn't.

"You know, I normally would have said something about you. But right now, I'm not in the mood" Said Nonette while she let out a dry chuckle.

Ocelot looked at her curiously. Then he remembered about her friendship with Cornelia and understood why she is like this.

"You are grieving for Cornelia, aren't you?" Asked Ocelot.

Nonette was surprised for a bit, but she dismissed it since most people know that Cornelia and herself are best friends.

"Yeah. I saw on the news how our soldiers were killing all the elevens and Cornelia herself drawing the first blood" Said Nonette dryly.

"And let me say… that it's all bullshit! I've known Cornelia for a long time and she would never do that!" Said Nonette in denial.

Ocelot stared at her and was analyzing what she said. It is true that despite Cornelia's tactics and questionable methods such as killing all civilians in the Saitama Ghetto, she would never hurt her sister Euphemia.

"I believe that there's a slight truth in that statement." Said Ocelot.

"But now…" Ocelot twirled his revolvers while Nonette focused on him in caution.

"What's important is what will you do now?" Questioned Ocelot.

"I will find the truth and I won't let anyone stop me" Nonette then pointed her lance at Ocelot.

"Not even you, if you decide to get in my way" Claimed Nonette.

Ocelot let out a small smirk. For some reason, he felt interested on her. Like something about her is catching his attention.

Nonette felt a little better after letting out what she had to say. Despite talking to Ocelot, who should be currently her enemy and it is not professional of her, a Knight of Round, to talk with an enemy of Britannia.

Nonette unconsciously moved her left hand to her chest and felt how her heart is beating a little bit quick.

"What is this? I couldn't possibly fall in love with an enemy" Though Nonette. Sure, back when Britannia invaded MSF, she felt the excitement and thrill when she fought Ocelot. He was the first man who ever gave her a good fight and one that she had to admit defeat and retreat.

"In that case, let me tell you this, we are at this moment neutral in this conflict" Said Ocelot.

"What?" Asked Nonette in surprise.

"Let's say we are having an important matter and we are forced to leave." Said Ocelot.

Nonette thought about it. If this is true, then the Britannian army won't have to worry about MSF and they could focus more on squashing this rebellion.

After several seconds, Nonette withdrew her lance.

"Very well then. I'll let you off the hook for now" Said Nonette.

"But know that the next time, I won't be merciful like today" Nonette warned him.

Ocelot smiled victoriously and spoke.

"Understood"

Nonette turned her Knightmare around and was about to leave.

"See you next time, my dear Ocelot" Nonette bid her farewell and dashed away.

Ocelot looked at her Knightmare with a bit of confusion. He hasn't been in any relation before due to his work as a spy.

Putting that aside, he retreated back to the MSF hidden base. He took a look around and he could see the Gawain and the giant spherical Knightmare flying away from the Tokyo Settlement.

"Time to wrap this up" Said Ocelot, knowing that the tides of this battle is about to change drastically.

Moments ago in Ashford Academy

Outside of the student council room, Huey and Strangelove were outside on their thoughts. They decided to stay outside instead of being inside, since they were sure that the students would be feeling scared or awkward now knowing that their 2 professors were actually spies from MSF.

"Well, I guess our time as teachers are over, don't you think?" Said Huey in a sad tone.

"Yeah. It was actually quite fun. Never thought that teaching children would make me feel like I'm living a normal life" Replied Strangelove as she remembered all the memories during their time here, as short as it was.

"You know, if we are stuck here or we manage to return to our world, I think I would like at some point of my life retire from MSF and be a legit teacher" Said Huey with a smile.

"Me too, Huey" Answered Strangelove.

Huey turned to his left side and saw something weird.

"Hi there, what is a little boy like you doing here?" Asked Huey as he turned his wheelchair to the boy who was now walking to their direction.

"Sorry, I have something to do. May I ask you to let me in?" Asked the boy.

"What are you talking about?" Said Huey with a confused tone.

Suddenly they boy took out from his clothes a tranquilizer gun and shot him.

"Huey!" Strangelove shouted, but the boy shot her too.

V.V looked amused at the now unconscious Huey and Strangelove.

"Normally I would have just killed you two, but I'll keep you alive, you may be quite useful to me and my brother" Said V.V with a maniacal grin. He initially was just going to kidnap Nunnally, but since these 2 were the main chief scientists of MSF, he decided to take them away too, in another way.

A few hours ago in Mother Base

At this moment in the command center, many main staff members are reunited: Miller, Gregory, Cornelio, Eliza, Adalhelm and Zangief.

There are also included the captured Orpheus who is still unconscious and Zi Dien who is in disbelief that Orpheus was responsible for it.

Cecile was there too, feeling exhausted and traumatized from the experience she went through.

"There are no life signals anywhere in the sea" Said Hideo after he searched through the radar.

"Damn it" Adalhelm cursed, feeling guilty on not saving them in time, now who knows where they could be.

Miller gritted his teeth in frustration for losing these 3 children because of the infiltrators.

"I hope they are alright. In the meantime, I need reports on the status of Mother Base" Said Miller as he turned to them.

"Aside from capturing Orpheus, anything about the status of the hangar?"

Eliza then briefed Miller about what she found out…

"So the virus caused the AI's to malfunction and go berserk, but Zeke remained intact" Said Miller.

"Yes, Miller" Replied Eliza.

Miller sat straight as he was on his thoughts.

"We've received reports from our soldiers that they have taken care of the AI weapons too. Since they were malfunctioning, they were easy for our soldiers to neutralize them. We have some problems though, many of our defenses, such as the missile launchers, turrets and radars seized to function due to the attacks caused by the AI weapons, not to mention that Zeke's nuclear warhead is deactivated and it requires 2 hours for the reboot to be completed" Informed Gregory with a saddened tone. Looks like now their only line of defense are the military vehicles, aircrafts and the soldiers themselves.

Although, it was pretty strange that MSF soldiers were able to take all the AI weapons down while the Forgotten Knight or any other new members weren't able to. From what he heard; they had some kind of "training" against them.

"This gives us so many disadvantages. We lost so many of our defenses" Said Miller a bit sad, although he was angry that Zeke's nuclear warhead was temporary out of commission. He then looked at Adalhelm.

"What about the R&D section?"

"They caused quite a ruckus there, but we managed to stop them before they could do any more damage. At this moment, Yoshihino is checking any abnormalities" Said Adalhelm.

"I see…" Said Miller as he processed the news.

"And our soldiers? Whatever happened in the living quarters?" Asked Miller referring that moment when Dafne and Akira fought against the imposters.

"The quarters were all inspected. Aside from the damages, we found no other suspicious activities, items or any of the imposters" Said Adalhelm. While he was on his way, he had a small encounter with another group of MSF soldiers, who informed him about what has happened in the quarters.

"What about the Mess Hall? Anything from Mosquito?" Asked Miller.

"We still got no contact from him" Said Hideo.

Cecile perked with the mention of the Mess hall.

Miller gritted his teeth in stress. He then turned to the unconscious Orpheus.

"Zi Dien, do you know anything about these imposters?" Miller questioned.

"Sorry. I have nothing about these imposters. None of them are registered in our organization and they aren't carrying any symbols that could affiliate to an organization" Said Zi Dien when they gave him images of the imposters.

"I'm still trying to process how Orpheus could have fallen into their trap" Added Zi Dien.

"Yes, it is possible that Orpheus was brainwashed by one of them" Said Cornelio as he thought about it.

Miller and the rest of the staff thought about this mystery, until Hideo spoke.

"Miller, it's Mosquito!"

Miller stood up and went to where Hideo was sitting. He quickly gave the mic to Miller.

"Mosquito, what's the status?"

"Commander Miller, we managed to stop our soldiers"

"You did?" Asked Miller in surprise.

"We did. We were able to neutralize most of them without killing, although a few weren't so lucky" Said Mosquito with a sad tone.

"I see" Miller said with a pained tone.

"Also, few of us are feeling traumatized from the experience. Yang, Akio and David are feeling disheartened of shooting them" Informed Mosquito

"Lead them to the med bay, they'll take care of them. In the meantime, stay sharp. We'll contact you later" Instructed Miller.

Miller sighed as he focused on the present staffs.

"Well, guys. Time to move, we-

*BOOM!*

A huge explosion engulfed one of the defense turrets, while also causing the command center to tremble.

"What the?!" Shouted Miller.

Everyone all readjusted themselves after the impact and looked outside of the windows.

"Impossible. Hideo, our comms and radar were still down this whole time?!" Asked Miller with his eyes widened.

"Yes, Miller-san. We are still unable to reestablish our sensors and radars" Said Miller with a pained look as he too saw the outside.

What everyone saw outside…was a large Britannian fleet composed of aircrafts, ships and a Caerleon Class Floating Battleship.

But what caught everyone's attention was the flag itself on those warships.

It was a Britannian flag alright, but there was a difference. The center of the shield has, instead of a lion and snake, a sword pointing downward, 2 chains forming an X and a snake enveloping the sword and chains.

It was clear who they are… They are from Euro Britannian Empire…

So, what do you guys think?

It may kinda feel generic or not dramatic, but I hope this original idea I had was better than the other version.

I mentioned before that I wanted to have Big Boss and Lelouch depart in bad terms. But now that I think about it, having them leave in good terms more or less works too with what I want to do in the sequel.

Another thing I want to mention is about what I did with Zeke. It may seem cheap what I wrote about the virus damaging Zeke's nuclear warhead and rendering unable to use it temporary, but don't worry, because I have something big planned for Zeke's nuclear in the last chapter. It would more devastating to the Euro Britannia, but it will also affect a little bit with MSF.

I went to this decision because having MSF fire the nuclear warhead at the very beginning against the enemy is…. well, kinda boring.

I still want to give that sense of stress in order to set the tone for the sequel, so I hope you guys won't mind.

Well, with this done, I will go to the final chapter!
