A\N HI! UPDATE! Here goes another hard month…sheesh. Anyway, there is something about this fanfic i must tell you guys and gals. There is too much OC in this! Yes, i noticed it too, and currently working on adding more and more characters from show. I even rematch series to make a note on some obscure villains to include here and there (including this chapter), and also planned something for several main villains of the show. But i must say, that there will be more OC in future as well, considering the world and the kind of story i bring, i'll just try to balance it well with canon rogue gallery. Oh! Also i got bored and drew a shitty fan-art for Private Paradise story, link is in my profile (bio) page if you wanna check it.

And, as always…

READ AND REVIEW.

Disclaimer: I don't own Kim Possible.

Chapter 8

Wind of changes

It was a real struggle. Couple dozen of students, concentrated in a tight bunch, shoving each other in order to get closer to their goal. In the middle of it was Ron, moving forward inch by inch. While he was getting through, he felt a short stinging pain on the back of his head, as someone pulled his hair, but that didn't slow him down. He managed to get close enough to the counter to take two pieces of rumored goodness. After another painful breakthrough, he got out of the crowd and, with a feeling of triumph and relief, went towards his usual table at school cafeteria.

"See! I told you i can make it without any injuries." Ron put the tray on the table and put his palm at the spot some of his hair got pulled out. "Well, almost any."

"It's just a caf pizza, it is not worth to be trampled for." Bonnie said while doodling something in a small sketchpad.

"It's double-cheese pizza! I heard rumors that some school cafeterias in Tri-City area have those before, but i never thought i'll see it with my own eyes."

"It's a cardboard caf pizza with cheese toping doubled, not that major. A low point of junk food."

"So i can eat the one i snatched for you?" he pointed at the plate.

"Nope." she took one slice from the plate and gave a good bite of it.

"You know, you are really mean sometimes." Ron pretended to be sad.

Bonnie just shrugged off and continued chewing pizza while drawing things in her notepad. After their battle with Seymour she realized how limited she is in her abilities. All she could do is stall him for a bit, while Ron dealt with him. There was no way she could keep school area under her protection without improving. In order to become more versatile in her witchcraft she decided to combine old with new. Even if her mother's grimoire was lost Bonnie still could remember some spells she did while teaching her sisters.

The big problem is that each spell has its own special feel and just saying some magic word won't work. That is what makes witch's grimoires so important. When next generation of witches touches it, the whole experience of their parents flow through them, making learning process much easier. Without this little push Bonnie had to rely strictly on her own powers. She tried this with her father's grimoire once, however a sheer complexity of his work overwhelmed her, helping her to learn only basic stuff like spell to unlock doors and binding spell. There were also ones she creates herself, testing it on rare occasions when Ryan took her with himself to deal with some magical creature of a week. Her Roots and Freeze spells was her own, as well as Water and Gust, though last two was actually based on her mother's basic spells.

"Earth to Bonnie!" Ron waved his had in front of her.

"A-ha…" she mumbled, still focused on the paper.

"History class is starting in couple minutes!"

"What? Shoot!" she snapped out, quickly put the notes in her back bag and ran towards the doors. "Let's go, i don't wanna be late."

"That what i was trying to tell you for last five minutes!" Ron ran after her.

A simple doll, made of cloth and filled with several different kinds of dried grass, was lying on a dressing table. A human teen, standing in front of it, reached in this pocket and pulled a folded paper. Inside of it was hidden a small lock of blonde hair. With a wicked smile, teen unwrapped the paper and put those hair inside of the doll, finishing it with a pin, stabbed right in the center of it.

Meanwhile, in the history class, Ron was holding his pen between his teeth, trying to concentrate on the long and boring lecture of their teacher. Soon he started to rock the chair back in forth slightly, losing his concentration on the matter. The socket of the ballpoint pen suddenly fell off, smearing blue ink all over Ron's notes.

"Aww man!" he said quietly, looking at the mess.

Some students noticed is and started to snicker. Ron tore inked up paper from the notes, put the broken pen inside it and wrapped it in another, clean, piece of paper. Even with a good portion of his notes was ruined, he continued to write down dates and facts, that was coming from teacher's monotone voice, with a mechanical pencil. About ten minutes later the lead suddenly crumbled, making the tip of the pencil slide through a page, tearing it up a bit. Without any spare leads he had to give up on making any notes at all. It was around ten or so minutes until the end of the class, so he decided to just zone off by looking at the window. It was a nice outside, sun was sharing it warmth, barely any cloud in the sky. Middleton rarely had a bad weather. It's getting cold for a month around December and January, however for the most time it summer-like, what give girls in this town ability to wear bare midriff almost non-stop. However Ron wasn't able to enjoy the view for long, as a large crow, with a loud bang, crashed at the window, almost cracking it up. Startled, he fell of the chair, hitting his left elbow against the floor. Some of the students laughed lightly at this, while others started to whisper around, looking a bit flustered by this. Teacher meanwhile just shook her head side to side and continued her speech.

"You ok?" Bonnie asked quietly, as he stood up.

"Yeah, i'm fine." Ron smiled, trying to reassure her, and sat back at his desk.

As the class was over he went to his locker to pick up a spare pen. He walked through school hallway he noticed that several people were giving him a look. Ron petted his elbow, it didn't hurt that bad thankfully, and opened his locker. Immediately a book fell off in a perfect angle to hit his forehead, and dropped on his foot. After putting a painful tool of knowledge back, Ron picked up what he needed, and closed the locker, only to discover that one of his sleeves was stuck in it. Cursing silently, he pulled his hand with strength, releasing himself, and went to the next class.

Bonnie was waiting for him at their desk in the chemistry class, in the corner of the room, looking a bit distressed. It was the only classroom in school that had desks for two people, since all lab works should be done with a partner. Ron made a step towards her and immediately tripped due to a loose shoelace. He managed to prevent his fall by leaning on the nearest wall. After regaining his balance and putting a reassuring smile, he finally reached their desk. Teacher was soon to appear, starting the class.

"Not my day." he chuckled weakly.

"Seams so…" Bonnie sounded worried. "Listen Ron, there is a rumor in the school, about me, I think you should know."

"A rumor?" Ron remembered what Kim told him about Bonnie. "Ah, about weird stuff happening to the one who displeases you?"

"So you heard." she looked upset.

"Yeah…wait, is this why people all sneaky and weird around me today?" a realization suddenly hit him. "They think you doing it somehow?"

"It seems so."

She felt as if she was disarming a bomb, on wrong word and it will blow up all what was built between her and Ron so far. She usually ignored all this rumors, feeling that she doesn't need to prove her innocence to anyone, however now they really might hit the spot. Ron was experiencing an extreme link of bad accidents, which can't be blamed on his clumsiness alone.

"It wasn't me." she said, still quiet, but trying to sound as convincing as she could.

"Yeah, my thoughts exactly." he said to her, while trying drawing unknown weird formula from the chalkboard into his notes as lead in his spare mechanical pencil kept breaking.

"Huh?" her point of view moved towards his face now. "Really?"

"Yeah, I mean… considering stuff I know you can do, and what your father can do to me… Let's just say, if I ever wrong you in any way, I wouldn't be tripping, ever. More likely i'll become green, move to the swamp while eating flying bugs and stuff."

As a sign that she didn't appreciate this old joke she hit his arm slightly with her palm. A weak whimpering came from Ron, who's tired of all his might not to scream, as his eyes watered a bit.

"What?" Bonnie asked in confusion.

"I hit that elbow earlier… " he said, cringing.

"Ow…oops…sorry." she looked apologetically at him.

Teacher looked at them for the moment and returned his attention to the chalkboard again. Kim meanwhile glanced to their side periodically herself.

"Anyway." Bonnie whispered. "There is something wrong with you, and I think it's the magic kind of weird."

"So, I'm cursed or something?"

"I've read about curses from one of Dad's books. It usually needs something from the victim, like a really personal item, tooth, hair…"

"Hair!" Ron suddenly exclaimed, drawing attention of everyone in the classroom.

"You want to say something to us, Stoppable?" chemistry teacher asked him.

"Hair…your hair looks lovely today…" Ron said first thing that came in his head.

Teacher moved his hand to his rapidly bolding head, as his face become more red-ish. Students obviously burst in laughs at that remark.

"I guess since you have time to criticize people's…hair condition, you can spend it doing extra homework, Stoppable." Teacher huffed and continued his lesson.

"Aww man." Ron sighed.

"What was that?" Bonnie, like many others in the classroom, was suppressing the laugh.

"Somebody pulled my hair during lunch break."

"You sure?"

"Certain." he nodded.

"Ok, let me try something. Be still."

Bonnie touched Ron's palm. She remembers her father doing this to Ron, when she brought him home, to check on any magical activity. It was a simple test, shooting your own magical energy through a person's body and getting instant feedback from it, like sonar. She concentrating her powers in her hand. Ron felt a painful feeling through his all body, but it ended as quickly as it appeared.

"Yew, gross…" Bonnie let his hand go.

"Welp, there goes my self-esteem." Ron said under his breath.

"There is an invisible coating on you, like non-stop moving worms. Sorry, it felt disgusting on a touch."

"So, that means…"

"Certainly a curse." she concluded with a nod. "I think I can track the source though."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Let's just hope that whoever did this is still in the school area. I don't think is safe for you to go home in your condition."

'You have no idea…' Ron thought, keeping in mind the fact that he lives with two unstable boys, who spend their time building rockets and playing with explosives. 'I think my life is depending on it.'

The rest of the lesson didn't go as smooth as he would hope. His spare mechanical pencil broke and unexpected question from the teacher that only added amount of extra homework for him. As soon as class was over Bonnie told him to wait neat her locker, while she'll try to locate the source of his problems. She walked into the girl's bathroom and checked all stalls, just to be sure no one was there.

"Alright!" she entered one of the stalls and pulled from her back bag a crystal sphere. "Scan!"

In the smudged and hazy image of the school corridors and rooms in the sphere she noticed two very weak like spots, with a thin, barely visible string between them. One of them was located right near her locker, so she knew that it must be Ron. Bonnie made a rough map with direction to the other spot of light in her notepad, and put it, along with crystal ball, back in her back bag. She was going to leave the room, as a familiar red-hair girl entered, and stood at the door.

"Leave Ron alone." Kim said sternly, looking daggers at her.

Bonnie stood there, in some state of shock, trying to comprehend words that came from the cheerleader's captain.

"You heard me." Kim continued. "I don't know what your problem with him is, but I'm telling you to stop it, or you'll have to deal with me."

Bonnie kept silent, feeling anger inside. What right does this girl have to talk her like that? And what is HER deal with Ron, why she acts so protective?

"What? Cat bit your tongue?" Kim started to lose her patience as well. "I know you are behind all this pranks on him today."

"Are you out of your mind, Possible?" Bonnie snapped at her, unexpected for herself, and the other girl in the room.

"What?" Kim stood in shock.

"Listen here, Ron is my friend, you understand?" she continued, looking straightly in her eyes. "I have no reason to hurt him in any way. And why do you even care anyway?"

Kim was going to talk back, however was interrupted as group of girls entered the room. Using this distraction, Bonnie swiftly went past all of them and left the room, leaving quite irritated Kim inside. She walked towards Ron, who was holding what appeared to be two pieces of string.

"What's that?" she asked.

"I tried to tie my shoelaces and one of them broke in half." he said in defeated tone.

"This is getting ridiculous." Bonnie said bluntly and pulled out her notepad again. "It appears that whoever or whatever caused your ehm… misfortunes is somewhere near school's stage."

"Stage?"

"Yeah, used for drama club and stuff. Follow me."

School auditorium was not empty as Bonnie hoped it would. Several students on the stage was making and placing different props, while others repeated their lines. The most impressive piece off all however was a giant well-made chandelier above them. Thankfully everyone, including a teacher in charge of this production, was too busy to notice two teenagers sneaking into the hall behind the stage.

"Hey, we managed to go through unnoticed. Maybe the curse is off."

As Ron said it, his foot got tangled in a cord on the floor, making a tall lamb behind him fall right on him, hitting his head.

"Ow…" he petted his damaged head, while trying to shake the cord off his leg.

"Yeah…don't think so." Bonnie looked at her notepad and walked towards of the dress rooms. "It is here. Are you ready?"

Ron made a deep breath and twisted the doorknob. They entered the room filled with vanity mirrors, costumes and props. In a midst of it stood a guy, with his back turned towards them. He dressed in a black cape, and white mask that covered right side of his face, his shoulder-length brown hair was slicked back, and above his upper lip stood incredibly thin mustache.

"Stranger than you dreamt it, can you even bear to look, or dare to think of me?... This lonesome gargoyle who burns in hell but secretly yearns for heaven secretly, secretly but Christine... fear can turn to love you'll learn to see to find the man behind the monster this... repulsive carcass that seems a beast but secretly dreams of beauty secretly, secretly…" he said his lines, oblivious to the intruders.

"Achoo!" Ron suddenly sneezed, alerting the guy.

"Bless you." he said before realizing who those two are. "YOU!"

"Ehm, thanks man, it sure is dusty in here." Ron sniffled.

"My Goddess!" he said with eyes full of admiration, then it suddenly changed in one full of detest. "And YOU, filth."

"Goddess?" Ron looked at clearly flabbergasted friend.

Bonnie just shook her head, giving the idea that she doesn't understand what is what either.

"And filth?" Ron pointed at himself.

"Don't try to play me Peasant!" he moved his cape dramatically. "It can't be a coincidence that both Goddess of the Moon and You are here."

"Peasant? Goddess of the Moon?" Ron shook his head in further confusion.

"Ron." Bonnie said quietly, feeling really uncomfortable under adoring look of overly dressed teen. "The curse."

"Oh yeah! Listen man, here's the thing…"

"I will NOT remove the curse!" he suddenly blabbed out.

"Wait, you did this to me?" Ron asked. "Why?"

"For my Goddess of course!"

"Do you know him?" Ron asked Bonnie.

"First time seeing him." Bonnie answered quietly.

"Yes my Goddess!" he kneeled. "I am Malcom Nevious, your loyal servant. Watching over you from the shadows."

"Watching me?"

"Yes. Watching you, guarding you, as your shadow knight. Whoever would try to disturb you will share a terrible fate with all his or her predecessors. They will feel the power of the curse until they leave you in peace."

"So all those rumors started because…" a realization suddenly came to Bonnie. "…you."

"Hey!" Ron suddenly yelped. "If you are 'trying' to protect her, why attack me? What did I do?"

"YOU!" Malcom raised his hand and pointed at him. "You are the WORST of them all, Peasant! Your filth dirtied my pure Goddess of the Moon!"

"Say what?" both Ron and Bonnie asked.

"The lore of Everlot told me a beautiful tale of Goddess of the Moon, the purest being drifting alone in the vast see of lesser stars. And her Shadow knight, protecting her, silently, from the ground from anyone who even dare to hurt her. I thought it was just a made-up story, until I saw you." his view got back to Bonnie. "Just like the Goddess, you were lone surrounded by lesser beings, who only cared about themselves and used people like me for their own agenda. You never joined any clique or group, you saw those lowlifes like I see them, an unworthy bunch! So I helped you, secretly, to not disturb your solitude. And everything was like it should be until that Peasant appeared!"

"So you did this, because i am friendly with her?" Ron asked, as Bonnie beside him began to shake.

"Yes!" Malcom exclaimed. "In order to restore her purity of the Goddess i had to do it!"

"Goddess of the moon." Bonnie said angrily. "All this…all this for that? You wanted your Goddess, you are going to get it! GUST!"

A strong wind spread inside close space with devilish speed and strength, knocking anything and everyone, besides Bonnie herself, since she was in the center of it. Other two however wasn't that safe. Malcom got thrown right at the stand with the costumes, while Ron, as always, met the wall, and was hit in his forehead with a flying puff-box.

"Because of you i was shunned by everyone as some kind of weirdo. Because of you several people got hurt." she went closer to the trembling on the floor guy. "Including the guy who actually trying to be friendly with me, and don't treat me as the biggest freak on the world despite stuff he knows."

"Please my Goddess!" Malcom fell on both of his knees, and lowered his head. "I beg your mercy. You grace is even more magnificent than i imagined it!"

"How did you cursed Ron?"

"I found a curse doll on internet auction and bought it."

"Where is it now?"

"It's with me." he pulled a doll from his cape and reached it on his hands towards Bonnie, still keeping his head down. "Here it is, Goddess!"

"How do i lift the curse?" she asked, with anger still in her voice.

"Just remove the pin from it."

"Alright." she quickly moved the pin from the doll. "Now, look at me."

The second Malcom raised his head, a double dose of potion was sprayed at his face. He felt dizzy, while his mind became susceptible.

"You'll fall asleep for 30 minutes. As you wake up, you realize that there is no reason to obsess over Bonnie Rockwaller. She is not a goddess, just a student. And you'll never try to do curses anymore, the thought itself will make your stomach ache. You will also forget everything that happened to you in this room today. Now, go sleep!"

Malcom's body flopped on the floor like a marionette with its strings cut. Bonnie meanwhile sat on the floor near the wall, with her forehead on her knees, and her arms hugging them, covering the face. Ron was a bit confused with this display until he notices quiet sniffs, coming from her. She was crying, or at least trying to suppress her tears. Unsure in what to do in this situation he just sat on the floor near her, without saying a word. She was like that for ten or so minutes, trying to collect herself. Ron felt her hand, holding his, when suddenly a short sharp pain went through his all body again.

"No curse on you anymore." she released his hand and stood up. "I just checked."

"Ow. Good." he said awkwardly. "Anyway, are you alright?"

"No, but i'll manage." Bonnie wiped liquid from her slightly puffy eyes.

"Can i do something for you? Maybe treat a burrito, or taco?"

"I'm not hungry…" Bonnie shook her head. "Listen, since we dealt with….this…. can you i ask you something?"

"Sure, ask anything you want." he smiled wide.

"What is going on with you and Possible?"

"What? Nothing…"

"She confronted me in a bathroom today to say, and i quote: leave Ron alone."

"She did?" Ron sighed deeply. "Man… Sorry for that."

"So, what is going on between you?" she was persistent.

"I..." Ron put his palm at his neck, understanding that he can't avoid this anymore. "I live at the Possible's house. She is kind of looking after me in school."

"You what?" Bonnie didn't expect to hear that. "But why?"

Ron went quiet for a bit. It was something he preferred not to talk about. Not even with kind people who were trying to help him from the start, like Ann and James. He was ready to just change the topic, when a certain conversation he had with Mr. Possible flashed in his head.

"Ronald, i know it's not easy for you to get in cars since the incident. But it won't get better unless you at least try to do something. Do you understand?"

"Yes." Ron nodded slowly.

"By the way, what i just said doesn't imply just to cars." James smirked slightly.

'Should i tell her? Is it even matter? Her father will make me forget anything about magic anyway, probably including her too.' Ron pondered. 'On the other side, i can try. Mr. Possible is right. I can't live in denial my whole life.'

"My family got into the car accident, i'm the only survivor." Ron started suddenly. "Mom and Dad were longtime friends with Possible family, even when they moved apart to different towns. After the…accident, our family lawyer opened the letter Dad left in case of something like this: it said that James and Ann Possible are my official guardians until i'm eighteen. It isn't really the whole story, but it is all that i am, more or less, comfortable to talk about at the moment."

"I…see." Bonnie felt a bit ashamed, making him say all this. "Th- thank you, for being honest."

"It's fine, i kinda feel a bit better now." he put on a smile. "You are the first person i told this since i arrived in Middleton, well, willingly i mean."

"Willingly?" gears inside Bonnie's head started to move. "O damn, it was Dad isn't it. With his talisman?"

"Yeah."

"I swear i'm going to burn that piece of paper!" Bonnie grunted.

"Anyway." Ron started to talk more nonchalantly. "I think it is time to skedaddle. I don't want to answer questions about trashed room and knocked out freaky dude."

"Good idea!"

After sneaking away through the school auditorium successfully Ron and Bonnie made a stroll around the city to calm their thoughts a bit. For both of them t was a hard day. For Ron this experience, though doubtfully terrifying, was still a breath of fresh air. No matter what happened to him in the past, he now knew one thing for sure, he must move forward. His misadventures with a witch showed him that world will not hold still while he is brooding. Life is moving forward, and so must he. And maybe eventually he will manage to leave the heavy burden behind.

Ron walked in Possible's house, and went upstairs to Kim's room. Door was open, and Kim was in the room, reading magazine on the bed.

"Hey." Ron knocked at open door.

"Ron!" she immediately put of the magazine and walked up to him. "How are you?"

"I'm fine." he smiled reassuringly. "A bump here, a bruise there, nothing serious."

"It's all her fault…"

"Kim!" Ron interrupted her mid-sentence. "It is not Bonnie's fault."

"But…"

"I just had a very bad luck, and got a little clumsy, that is all."

"But what about rumors, it's the same as what happened to you."

"We both know that is a bunch of baloney!" Ron crossing arms. "Seriously! Unless she knows how to control birds and making me trip without any contact i don't think it was her doing. Come on Kim this isn't some TV show about teenagers with superpowers."

"I…you…" Kim finally gave up and sighed. "You are right…i overreacted. Say sorry to her from me."

"Good, i'll do. Thanks Kim!" Ron smiled widely and went to his room.

"Bonnie Rockwaller." Kim said under her breath. "This isn't over."
