Chapter Four

Tears continued welling up in Draco's eyes as he looked at the girl he loved. "I think I might have to breakup with her Harry." He replied with another sniff not looking at him as he said it and that's when suddenly Harry knew that his feelings were genuine. Draco truly loved Hermione because he was thinking about her before himself. "I don't want to but I'm afraid that it's my only option." He said before he started to hysterically sob and wipe away his tears. "Otherwise, he's going to hurt her." He told him.

"It's alright, Ron and I won't let that happen." Harry reassured him before glancing back over at Hermione and saw the extremely frightened and worried look on her face. And then looked back at his friend. "Right now you better just calm down and go talk to Hermione about this you're freaking her out." He told him as Draco sniffed and silently nodded at him. "I'm sure that she'll understand once you talk to her." He added.

"I know she is." Draco began. "Just please leave us alone for a few moments." He finished as Harry silently nodded at him and then took a few steps while Draco walked back over to the table.

"Draco, what is it? You're scaring me." Hermione told him as Draco sat down beside her and rubbed the tears out of his eyes before slowly turning to look at her.

"Honey there's something that I have to talk to you about and I should have known that it would happen sooner or later just for the simple fact that like it or not I'm a Malfoy." He began.

"What is it?" She wondered.

"My father knows about our relationship, Voldemort knows about our relationship,.. and I don't think that either one of them wants us to be together. I still don't know how they found out though. And my father wants me to come home right now." He told her specifically leaving the part out about Voldemort planned to harm her if he didn't since he didn't want to frighten her any more than she already was.

"Oh. I see." Hermione replied with a sniff as she looked down at the ground and a tear rolled down her cheek which broke Draco's heart and he quickly wiped it away with his thumb. "So what am I supposed to do without you?" She questioned him as her voice started to break before Draco quickly kissed her on the lips.

"Nothing if I can help it." He replied. "All my father said is that I'm supposed to come home not to stop seeing you, and besides that what he doesn't know won't hurt him." He told her soothingly in a reassuring whisper while he gazed into her eyes and gently stroked her cheek with his thumb and then kissed her again.

"I sure hope you're right." Hermione began. "Just because I like watching movies and reading stories about forbidden love doesn't mean that I want my life to be one." She told him before resting her head down on top of his shoulder again and he pressed his lips to it once more before leaning his chin up against it and then they both closed their eyes while they continued waiting for their food while Harry hurriedly left the restaurant in a rage of anger at what Draco's father had done.

.

The next day Draco found Hermione down by the lake skipping stones a crossed the water. "Hey!" He called out before Hermione turned to look at him. "Potter told me that I might find you down here. Are you alright?" He questioned her as she simply just folded her arms and turned her head away from him.

"What do you think?" She questioned him back.

"Oh come on don't be like that. It isn't the end of the world you know. I'll still be seeing you at school." He told her with a grin.

"I know, but I was really hoping that we would have this summer to ourselves." She told him.

"Well I'm sorry to disappoint you but you were hoping against hope since we were going to stay at Weaslebee's instead of your place." He told her.

"Draco, can I ask you something?" She began as she finally glanced up at him and he silently nodded at her. "I know it sort of might sound crazy considering the fact that we're only teenagers, but do you think it's absurd for me to know already that I want to spend the rest of my life with you whether it's forbidden or not?" She wondered.

"No." He began. "Cause so far that's the only thing that's been on my mind." He finished before they started walking towards each other and then they wrapped their arms around one another, closed their eyes, and then started to kiss. Draco deepened it and put all of the passion that he had inside his heart into it before he slowly started pulling away from her. "I promise that I'll write to you whenever I can." He told her and after a quick peck on her cheek, he turned around and walked away.

As soon as he was gone Hermione quickly hurried back to the burrow. "Well, that takes care of that then." Ron said as Hermione eyed him suspiciously.

"What are you talking about?" She questioned him with uncertainty.

"I wrote to that bloke's father the moment I found out that he would be spending the summer with us." Ron replied.

"You mean you're the one who told him about us!? Ron, how could you!? I love him!" Hermione cried out before she burst into tears and quickly hurried up into her bedroom and slammed and locked the door behind her and then collapsed on top of her bed and continued sobbing inside her pillow. Hermione went back downstairs later and asked Mrs. Weasley to take her home and didn't speak to Ron for the rest of the summer.

She didn't remember the last time she had been this hurt, and this upset about something. She wrote to Draco and told him what had happened and how upset she was but she never heard back from him. Of course, she already knew that that wasn't his fault and she just couldn't wait to see him again and for him to scoop her up and hold her inside his arms.
