Chapter Five

The day came sooner than expected for Hermione to travel back to platform nine and three quarters and catch the Hogwarts Express so that she could enter her sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The first thing that she did after she boarded the train, she started looking for Draco. Luckily for her it wasn't that long before she bumped straight into him.

"Draco!" She exclaimed.

"Hermione!" He cried back and that's when they pushed each other up against the wall and started making out with one another and that's when to Draco's complete and utter horror Hermione burst into tears. "Shh,.. shh,.. it's alright darling." He told her before kissing her again and wiping away her tears with his thumb. "I'm so sorry, I tried to write you, but I didn't have the chance." He whispered softly.

"No it isn't that, Ron betrayed me!" She wept.

"I know sweetheart I'm so sorry." Draco told her before pressing his lips to her forehead and kissing it gently. "Come on, just calm down and come sit with me." He said and she followed him into his compartment and then sat down next to him and cuddled up to his chest and rested her head upon it. Draco kissed it before wrapping his arm around her. He kissed her head again and then rested his chin upon it while his heart pounded against his chest and he soothingly rubbed her shoulder to try and get her to calm down.

"I missed you so much!" She wept.

"I know, I missed you too." He replied before pressing another soft kiss on top of her head. "But we're together again so it doesn't really matter now." He told her.

"So what did your father want?" She asked him with a sniff glancing up at him before she found that he was kissing her head once more.

"Nothing that you need to worry about darling." He told her. "Just some work and chores that I need to do that's all."

"So then he's not going to try and split us up?" Hermione wondered.

"Although I do believe that the thought crossed his mind, he has way too many other things on it right now, so I don't think that it's anything we need to be concerned about." He told her and as he kissed her head again Hermione started closing her eyes as she was incredibly happy that somebody loved her this much after all she had been through.

"Besides, I'm never going to let you go anyways." He whispered and kissed her head for a final time before he closed his eyes himself and they both drifted off to sleep together until the train pulled up in front of the school and they both woke up at the train whistle. "Well come on, I suppose we better get up." Draco said while glancing down at Hermione and kissing her forehead.

"No,.. I don't want to!" She protested as Draco chuckled at how adorable she was behaving at the current moment while she clung to his chest.

"I know me neither, but we have to. If I had my way, we both would be skipping classes and be in bed together but unfortunately life doesn't always work out the way you want it to." He told her. "Besides, I have just a few things that I want to talk to your pal Weasley about." He told her.

"Draco please don't do anything you'll regret, I don't want you to get expelled or something." She told him.

"It's alright darling I'll be fine, I'm just not going to let him get away with hurting you like that though. I'll meet you in the Great Hall." He told her and kissed her lips goodbye before he got up from his seat and withdrew his wand in one hand while collecting his suitcase in the other and that's when he bumped into Ron and anger like he had never felt before surged through his whole entire body.

"Weasley!" He hollered. "Just who the hell do you think you are!? Hermione told me that you're the one who spilled the beans to my father about our romantic involvement with one another! Do you have any idea how much you hurt her!? Why can't you just get over the fact that we're in love!?" He shouted.

"Because I don't trust you that's why!" Ron snapped back at him with an evil glare.

"Well Hermione does and she's the most important one. Even Harry Potter does now because he trusts her judgement! But that's not the point." Draco growled. "If you ever hurt my girlfriend again in any way, shape, or form,.. I just might be sent to Azkaban for murder." He threatened him before he stepped off the train and started heading towards the castle and that's when he saw Harry in front of him. "Potter wait up I have to talk to you for a second." He said as Harry stopped and then turned back around to face him.

"Yeah?" He questioned him.

"Can I trust you?" Draco wondered.

"That depends,.. with what?" Harry asked him back.

"There's something bothering me, and I really need somebody to talk to and you're the only one I figure that I can trust. I can't even tell Hermione about it because I don't want to scare her." He told him as Harry silently nodded at him. "My father called me back home because Voldemort has given me a certain job to do and I really don't want to do it." He explained as he slowly turned his head and looked away from him.

"Are you saying that he made you a death eater?" Harry inquired.

"Yeah." Draco replied while looking down at the ground and avoiding his gaze. "Voldemort said if I don't do the job, he's going to kill me, and God only knows what he would do to Hermione." He told him as Harry started to think it over.

"Have you told Snape about it?" Harry wondered. "I mean I know that we never really saw eye to eye, but he seems to be a lot closer to you. Maybe he can help you with it." He suggested as Draco nodded back at him.

"Alright, I'll go talk to him then." He began. "Just please whatever you do don't tell Weasley or Hermione about this. Especially not Hermione. Promise me that." He said as Harry nodded back at him.

"I promise." He told him before they both started heading back towards the school together.
