Rowena sighed, flipping through the book of the damned, looking drained and tired. Jamie walked over carrying two mugs, both steaming hot. "Here, tea." She said softly before sitting down across from her.
"Did you try calling Michael again?" Rowena looked up.
Jamie nodded. "He's not strong enough to even answer." She looked back at the bowl. "It's holding for now."
Rowena nodded. "I just hope it's enough. Visions?"
"Nothing." Jamie sighed. "Not even dreams." She laces her boots and grabs her jacket.
"Where are you going?" Rowena asks, nervousness and almost fear in her voice.
"To get my kids." Jamie answers, picking up her backpack. "You shouldn't need me for a few hours at least. And with them here, I can protect them from…" She doesn't finish her sentence, but Rowena knows what she means, and begrudgingly lets her go.
"What's going on, Jamie?" Jody asks at the door when she shows up back in Sioux Falls to collect her sons and Emma.
"Dean and Sam are in the alternate universe, they're trying to bring Mom and Jack home, but Lucifer…he got in too. And he knows about them." She gestures to where Patience is helping Alex dress Noah and get Mark and Emma ready to leave. "I don't know how long Rowena is gonna be able to keep the portal open."
"Do you need us to come with you?" Alex asks. She picks Noah up and passes him to his mother.
"Yeah, maybe we can help. I mean, I'm psychic like you are, right? Maybe together…" Patience reasons. "Plus, I'd love to meet Rowena." Jody audibly groans.
Jamie soundly shakes her head, giving the girls a smile. "No. You girls are needed here. Claire might need backup with her case." Alex moves in to hug her and Patience follows. "I can't promise I'll be back soon…"
"You better be back. I'm just starting to understand my visions, nevermind shooting…whatever that gun is."
"And you promised to teach me your tracking spell." Alex adds.
Jamie laughs softly, hugging the girls again before turning to Jody. "Jody…" Jody gives her a look that nearly mirrors one of her mother's. "I'll call. I promise."
"You better. And you better tell your brothers to call me." Jody gives her hug and then hugs Mark and Emma. "You two be good for your mom, stay out of her way, protect each other." The same speech she always gives them, before she shoots them out to Jamie's black SUV.
"Okay, now remember what I told you, be quiet and go to my room." Jamie chided softly as she let Mark and Emma into the bunker. "Rowena! We're back!"
"Ooh." Rowena gasped, looking over to the rift.
"Rowena?" Jamie rushed in with Noah, seeing the rift look as though it was gonna close. "No!"
Rowena took several deep breaths, her hands on the book. "Koth Munto Nuntox." The rift widened slightly.
Jamie let Noah down, giving him towards Mark. "Take your brother and your sister and go my room. If anything happens, protect them, Mark." She shooed her children from the room and then looked at the rift.
"Jamie?" Rowena asked weakly.
Jamie quickly tied her hair back and threw down her backpack. From it she took her angel blade and strapped it to her thigh. "I'm going through. We don't have much longer. Maybe I can get to them in time."
"Jamie no!" But Jamie had already jumped into the rift.
"Jamie!" Sam shouted in surprise, seeing her come through. He started for her, Dean on his heels.
"Sam!" She rushed to him and hugged him. Pulling back she saw everyone, including Lucifer. "What.."
"It's a long story, I'll explain later." Sam told her, waving the refugees and hunters closer.
"Hello Jamie." Cas said patting her shoulder as he rushed to the rift.
"Cas, Ketch show them how it's done." Dean directed.
"Jamie!" Mary and Bobby both were coming towards her.
"Mom, Bobby." Jamie wrapped her arms around them both, walking with them back to the rift.
"Charlie you're with them." Jamie looked back when Sam said Charlie and grinned, happy to see her surrogate sister.
Charlie put her hand up in a half wave as she passed Jamie. "See you on the other side, bitches." She said to Jamie's brothers before she went through.
"Jamie, go." Dean urged after their mom and Bobby had gone through.
"Woah woah woah, hold up." Sam had stopped Lucifer which got Jamie's attention.
"Dean…" Jamie hesitated.
"Go through, before Michael gets here." Dean urged. Just then a sharp boom, followed by a flare split the sky.
"Too late." Jamie pushed Dean and Sam behind her. Gabriel and Lucifer flagged her on either side.
The blast of Michael's entrance killed the last three hunters who tried to make it to the rift. "Jamie." Michael smirked as his wings disappeared. "Gentlemen."
Lucifer rushed forward, much to Jamie's surprise. She started after him, but Gabriel pushed her back, towards Dean and Sam. "Jamie, no."
Michael and Lucifer were sending shock blasts towards each other. Though Lucifer got a few off, it was clear Michael was stronger. Finally Lucifer was thrown to the ground and Michael's attention focused towards Jamie and Gabriel. "Can it be? Gabriel?"
Gabriel pushed Jamie closer to the rift. "Go." He told her and her brothers. "I can buy some time."
"Gabriel no!" Jamie hissed, grabbing his shoulder. "He'll kill you. I've seen it."
Gabriel shook his head. "All I did on Earth was run. I'm not running anymore." He moved from Jamie's grip but she grabbed him again.
"What do I tell my son, when he asks me where you are? His father is gone, Gabriel! He needs you. I need you."
"Tell him I died protecting his mother." Gabriel shoved Jamie back into Dean. "Go!" He rushed towards Michael. Dean and Sam grabbed Jamie and held her back. Gabriel drew his archangel blade, but even with it Michael was stronger. He viciously backhanded Gabriel across the face.
"No!" Jamie screamed, fighting Dean and Sam's hold. Michael knocked the blade from Gabriel's grip. "No!" Jamie, Dean and Sam all screamed as Michael stabbed Gabriel, his angelic light filling his eyes and mouth.
"Go, go!" Sam shoved Dean and Jamie into the rift.
"Jamie! Dean!" Mary grabbed her daughter and her eldest son.
"Gabriel." Rowena whispered. Jamie shook her head.
"Mom!" Mark and Emma shoved through the crowd of people, rushing for Jamie. Bobby appeared carrying Noah.
"Emma." Dean knelt down and scooped up his daughter. Just then Sam came through and the rift closed behind him. "Sam?"
Later Mary and Bobby were passing out beers as the hunters mingled. Mark and Emma rushed over to Mary who hugged each of them to her. Sam and Rowena talked. Charlie and Ketch drank, clinking their glasses together in victory. Jamie was holding Noah on one hip, the boy clearly asleep. Jack patted the baby's back, trying to smile at Jamie who touched his shoulder and then walked over to where Dean and Cas were talking. "We owe him everything." Dean put his arm around his sister when she joined him at his side.
"What about Lucifer?" Cas asked as Sam joined them.
"Sam handled it." Dean said, giving his brother a look. He pulled his sister close and kissed the top of her head.
"Alright listen up." Bobby stood at the top of the stairs with his glass raised. "We made it. Don't know much about this place, but it's a place without Michael-" Jamie looked away, planting a kiss on Noah's shoulder. Dean rubbed her arm. "So that's a turn for the better. I don't want none of you going soft on me because we are going to get ourselves ready and go back home and set our people free!" The hunters raised their glasses in mutters of agreement.
"He's been here for five minutes and look whose taken over the joint." Dean nodded to his siblings and Cas. Sam grinned. Jamie tried to smile.
"While we're celebrating lets not forget our brothers and sisters who didn't make it." Bobby continued. "They will never be forgotten. And we will do right by them." He raised his glass for the fallen. The hunters once again cheered in agreement, raising their glasses. "And now a toast to our new brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester." He raised his glass towards Sam and Dean. "Thanks boys. Welcome to the family."
Jamie snuggled into her oldest brother's side, raising her glass as Sam and Dean raised theirs. Mary raised her own glass to her sons. Everyone drank and then went back to mingling.
