After a long day of water frisbee and reading, another contestant came to the "Playa De Losers." It was Cody, how relieved I was. Cody would be the perfect person to hang out with while Tyler was in the pool. I then realized, he was wrapped in bandages everywhere on his body, they cut a large hole so he could see his surroundings.
Surprisingly, I felt bad for the kid. The kid didn't do anything wrong. I later found out that Cody's team voted him out because they felt sympathy for him and the nasty bear attack he was in.
I don't know what part inside me wanted this, but I decided to go up and check him in the infirmary the next day. As I went upstairs, I saw that Izzy and Eva were fighting. Of course, Izzy was Izzy and wanted to start a fight. Eva being Eva, was about to accept the challenge until...
"Girls, do you realize you're right next to the infirmary, that's in use?" I shouted.
Both of the girls looked at me and apologized. I nodded my head and continued walking to the infirmary. I asked for permission to go in and visit Cody, and I got permission.
"Hey dude, how are you feeling?" I greeted.
"Wow, I got visitors," Cody said out loud.
"Oh, yeah. I'm feeling sore, but I'm fine." Cody replied.
"I brought you some brownies from the cafe below," I said blushing uncontrollably.
"Thanks, dude, I didn't even know there was a cafe here, well, I couldn't because I had to rush here by the producers straight away because Chef didn't have a doctor's degree." he joked.
I laughed. "Chef doesn't have a degree in anything." I cracked.
Cody laughed as well.
"Dude, you're funny," he smiled, showing off his gapped tooth.
I started to feel weird. My stomach was acting up and rushed to the bathroom thinking I was about to get sick. I didn't though, I didn't have a clue why I went to the bathroom because it didn't even feel that bad.
"Dude, you ok?" Cody asked me, looking concerned.
"Yup, I probably had too much strawberry smoothies," I said.
Cody laughed and then realized I wasn't joking.
"I would come over to comfort you but I'm stuck in this bed." he joked.
I glared at him thinking he was being sarcastic. "Are you trying to be sarcastic? It doesn't suit you if you're trying to be." I groaned.
Cody then stared at me confused. "No, it's honestly. I really would've come over to comfort you. You know, return a favor." he explained.
"Oh, nobody has ever said or done that for me." I blushed.
"You live in a fricked up the family too? Sorry if it's too deep," he asked confidently.
"How did you guess. To answer your question, yes. I do live in a fucked up family." I said.
"I do too. Ever since I told them I was bisexual, they kicked me out and haven't said a word to me," he whispered to me.
Wow, Cody seemed like such a perfect guy. I didn't think he'd have a fucked up story. I felt bad for him. We had the exact same story. I then started to feel the weird feeling through my stomach again.
"Why do I feel, this way. Ever since that Cody kid talked to me I have had a weird feeling in my stomach. Am I actually going soft for the guy? I hope it doesn't continue, or else they'll think I got rabies off him." I thought and then realized.
"It's ok to feel sympathy for somebody. Right now I'm feeling sympathy for you because of your fricked up family," he said looking down at his bed.
"I also don't have rabies." he chuckled.
"Huh, what do you mean?" I asked
"You just said it dude," he said confused.
"Oh, I didn-" I said and was soon to be interrupted.
"It's fine, I've been called much worse," he said, not looking as irritated as I thought he'd be.
After that, we talked for a solid 7 hours. It was already 9 pm. I said my good-byes to Cody and went back to my dorm.
As I went back I said to myself…
I don't know what it is, but I love that kid.
