Sasuke Uchiha had always been a private person, both before and after he became one of the biggest basketball stars in Japan. He never went to any parties or clubs with his teammates after a win, he only attended the necessary team meals and meetings. And he never shared any of his personal life with anyone, not even his knuckleheaded teammate, Naruto Uzumaki who never left him alone.

All of this was especially difficult whenever they had an away game and he was stuck staying in a hotel room for days on end. When all he really wanted to do was be at home with his pink haired wife and daughter.

Sasuke had met Sakura in middle school after Itachi moved them both to a rural area after their parents passed away. At first she was extremely annoying to him, but before he knew it, she had become one of the most important people in his life. She was even the one who encouraged him to keep playing basketball whenever he was so close to quitting at one point.

He'd asked her out during their sophomore year of high school, and she gave him an answer in kissing him soundly with a big smile on her face. They dated all throughout high school and then in college, while Sasuke played basketball and obtained a business degree. And Sakura attended all of the games she could, while balancing work and earning a degree in kinesiology to be a physical therapist.

Sasuke asked her to marry him the day they graduated college, and Sakura was so happy that she insisted they go to a courthouse to make it official right then and there. He questioned her decision but quickly relented, he'd do anything for her.

They had now been married for three years, and Sasuke Uchiha had become a household name in Japan, his jerseys were even the hardest to find since they were always sold out. And Sakura was working at a physical therapy clinic that was run by her mentor Dr.Tsunade. But none of those achievements even came close to the true light of their lives, their baby girl Sakiko.

From the moment they found out Sakura was pregnant, she became the most important thing to them. Sakura had a difficult pregnancy due to intense morning sickness, that really lasted all throughout the day. But Sasuke had no issue doting on Sakura and taking care of her and their home for those nine months. And it was all worth it when Sakiko was born healthy, and with the same pink hair as Sakura but all the same facial features and dark eyes as Sasuke.

She was five months old now, and Sakura had taken an indefinite leave from work to take care of her full time. And Sasuke had taken a whole season off for her birth and first month's of life, not wanting to miss anything. But he knew he would have to start back playing eventually, and that time had come.

He now found himself in a hotel room for an away game that was about four hours from their home by bus. And Sasuke had truly underestimated how much he would miss his girls. So he got out his laptop and opened up the video calling app that Sakura insisted he download, and dialed her number.

It rang a few moments before Sakura picked up, "Hey Sasuke-kun" she said breathlessly, while adjusting the baby in her arms who was solely focused on eating. "Hey, how are things there?" he asked, while admiring them both.

"All good of course, those guards you always hire are right out on the street as usual." she said with a smile, as she readjusted her shirt and began to burp Sakiko. "Good, that's what I pay them for. But how has she been today?" Sasuke asked, wishing he was holding her close to his chest.

"She's been a little fussy, she didn't even want to go down for her afternoon nap either. I think she misses her daddy, just like I do too" she said a bit sadly, while holding Sakiko closer to the camera for Sasuke to see.

"I miss you both too, I'll be home two days from now though" he said, trying to reassure her. "I know, things just aren't the same without you here" she admitted, not afraid to be vulnerable with her husband.

They continued talking for two more hours, before Sakura said she needed to start getting Sakiko ready for bed. "Alright say night night daddy" Sakura said in her baby talk voice, to which Sakiko just gurgled towards the camera.

"Goodnight girls, I love you both" Sasuke said genuinely, not wanting the call to end. "We love you too, and we'll be cheering you on from here tomorrow night!" she said excitedly, before reminding him to stretch properly for his game and then logging off the call.

After logging off as well, Sasuke took a shower and then laid out his clothes and shoes for the next day. He then got in bed and drifted off to sleep with thoughts of pink hair and a family that was all his own.
