Sasuke had the following day off from practice, so naturally he spent it with Sakura and Sakiko at home. They had a lazy day together filled with lots of kisses and cuddles, and playing with their baby girl. "Her six month appointment is coming up soon, can you believe it?" Sakura asked her husband from the couch in the nursery, while he was changing Sakiko's diaper. "Not at all, it feels like we just brought her home" Sasuke replied as he took Sakiko off the changing table, and sat down next to his wife.
"I was thinking that since I've had to start pumping recently, that we could try giving her a bottle. And then you'd be able to feed her or your brother could when he watches her. " Sakura offered, as she leaned her head on his shoulder. "I'd like that but do you think she'll take it? All she knows is you" Sasuke wondered aloud. "I'm not sure since all babies are different but it's worth a shot" Sakura said confidently as she kissed his cheek.
The next day Sasuke arrived at the practice facility with his gym bag and the lunch Sakura had made him, knowing that he had a full day ahead of him. Weights, practice, game film review, and telling the idiot that his wife said yes to their families hanging out.
Two hours of weights and three hours of practice, all went by quickly for the dark haired man. And the same went for game film review with Coach Hatake, since he really didn't make that many mistakes in the last game.
Sasuke was in the locker room changing his clothes whenever he heard the door slam open loudly. And of course when he looked up, it was Naruto standing there "Must you always be so noisy?" Sasuke bit out, as he tied his shoes. "That's just how I am but anyway, what's the answer from our last conversation? Naruto inquired, while taking a seat next to Sasuke. "She said yes, seemed excited about it too," Sasuke told him, recalling his wife's reaction.
"Awesome! How about you guys come over to our place on Saturday? Does 12 work? Or is Sakiko napping during that time?" Naruto asked excitedly. "Yes Saturday at 12 works, no she should be awake then, and what's your address?" Sasuke asked, even though he really didn't want to. So Naruto scribbled down his address and handed it to Sasuke, "It'll be a good time, believe it! I gotta get going, I'll see you Saturday loser" Naruto shouted, as he grabbed his gym bag and headed out of the locker room.
Sasuke arrived home to Sakura on the couch in the living room, reviewing some anatomy texts. And Sakiko playing independently with some rattles, on the seat next to her Mama. "Hey you two" Sasuke said, as he rounded the couch and picked up Sakiko and then sat down next to Sakura. "Welcome home" Sakura said sweetly, while connecting her lips to his.
The couple talked for a while and Sasuke informed her about when Naruto said they could come over. "We have to get Sakiko a new outfit for the occasion and I need to get some groceries to make something to bring, we can't show up empty handed." Sakura said, wanting to make a good impression.
"Sakiko has a whole dresser and closet full of clothes" Sasuke reminded his wife with a grin, knowing where the conversation was going. "But Sasuke-kun" she said in a drawn out, whiny but charming tone. "Alright we'll go shopping for her" he said, before adding "You're lucky that you're cute" as he kissed her deeply.
Sakura relaxed into the kiss and was about to wrap her arms around his neck, when a sharp cry broke them apart. They both looked down and saw Sakiko crying and squirming around in Sasuke's hold. "What is it pretty girl?" Sasuke asked, as he tried to console her. But when that didn't work, he lifted her up and smelled her diaper. "It's not that either, she must be hungry then" Sasuke concluded, as he started to pass her to his wife.
But she stopped him and said "Wait one moment Sasuke-kun" as she dashed into the kitchen. And then came back with a small bottle filled with warm milk, and handed it to Sasuke with a smile. So Sasuke propped his legs up on the coffee table and put them together, and then laid Sakiko down on his thighs. He then put the nipple of the bottle up to her small lips, and she immediately turned her head and tried to push his hand away. But once she realized the milk was still her Mama's, Sakiko accepted the bottle and began eating.
Sasuke was completely enthralled with his daughter as he watched her eat, "This is the first time I've gotten to do this since we were still at the hospital" he said, remembering how small Sakiko was when she was born. "I forgot that you did it then too, must have been all the painkillers" Sakura said with a laugh, as she leaned up against his side.
The next few days went by smoothly for the family, they had gone shopping and bought Sakiko a light blue sundress with yellow flowers on it. And Sakura had gotten all the ingredients to make soba noodle salad and onigiri.
Saturday morning came and Sakura was prepping the dishes while Sasuke dressed their daughter in her new outfit. "You look so beautiful baby girl" Sasuke said, as he put a pair of warm leggings on to go with his daughter's dress. At her Daddy's praise, Sakiko squealed and waved her small arms up and down. "That's right, you know it's true" Sasuke spoke softly, while running a brush through her short, wispy pink hair.
"How lucky am I, to get to see the stoic Sasuke Uchiha using baby talk with his daughter" Sakura teased, as she walked into the nursery and stood by her husband. "Tch, don't be annoying" Sasuke said, in a fake aggravated tone. "You know I'm just giving you a hard time" Sakura spoke as she wrapped her arms around his waist and asked, "Are we ready to go?" while placing a kiss on his shoulder. "Ah, I guess we should get going" Sasuke conceded, while handing Sakiko to his wife.
Sakura placed Sakiko in her car seat and buckled her up, while Sasuke grabbed the diaper bag and started the car. The trip to Naruto's lasted about twenty minutes before they arrived in a nice neighborhood, in front of a large home. "You ready?" Sakura asked, as she put her hand
over his. "As ready as I'll ever be" Sasuke sighed, while leaning over and pressing his lips to hers.
Sakura picked up Sakiko and Sasuke got the diaper bag, they then walked up to the front door and Sasuke went to knock but the door opened before he could. "Hey you guys, come on in!" Naruto said in greeting, motioning for them to come inside.
"Ino come down here please" Naruto called upstairs, "But I'm Naruto as you probably know" he said to Sakura, while extending his hand out to her. "I'm Sakura and this is Sakiko" she said, as she shook his hand. "It's awesome to meet you both! Can I hold her?" Naruto asked tentvently, not wanting to overstep any boundaries. Sakura looked to Sasuke first, knowing how protective he is of their baby, but he nodded so Sakura handed her to Naruto.
"You guys are finally here!" a woman with long blonde hair exclaimed, as she walked down the stairs with a blonde little boy in her arms. "I'm Ino and this is Itoshi" she said, while shaking both Sasuke's and Sakura's hands. "Itoshi what do you say?" Ino asked her son. The little boy thought for a moment before saying a small "Hi" and waving his hand towards the new people. The couple waved back to the little boy, before Naruto said "Ino how about you show Sakura and Sakiko around while Itoshi and I talk with Sasuke" he suggested while handing the baby girl back to Sakura. "That sounds good love, you stay here with Daddy" Ino told her son, as she gestured for Sakura to follow her.
"I hope we aren't being too forward, Naruto has just been so excited about this" Ino explained to Sakura, as they walked up the stairs. "Not at all, it's nice to be around people who live the same life as you," Sakura said genuinely. "It is and honestly having some girls around here for once is so nice, I'm always outnumbered" Ino sighed with her shoulders slumped.
"Well you got us two now, would you like to hold her?" Sakura asked, as they made it to the backyard patio and sat down on an outdoor couch. "Of course! She's so adorable, when Naruto told me that Sasuke had a baby I figured it would be an exact copy of him" she said with a laugh, while bouncing Sakiko on her knee.
"I thought she would be too but somehow my pink hair genes prevailed" Sakura said with a smile. "But enough about us, tell me all about you and Naruto and Itoshi" Sakura spoke, wanting to know all about their life together.
