Time for another chapter. I think one of my reviewers is going to like this part.
Mr. Hector is in for a scare.
And so is the staff that is going with him.
Though I'm following the storyline of Home Alone 2, I'm also trying to be creative.
It's more fun to write a fanfic this way.
Chapter 5: The Return of Johnny
"Thought you could use your family's credit cards without permission, did you?" asked Mr. Hector., his hands on his sides.
"Well, they weren't the nicest people in the world..." noted Kevin.
Besides, they needed a source of income while they were out by themselves.
"I'mk calling the police. They'll be with us shortly." noted the concierge.
Kevin and Matilda panicked and went to the elevator.
The former quickly pressed the button to the fourth floor so they could get to the hotel room.
"Hey! Get back here!" demanded Mr. Hector.
Fortunately, the door to the elevator had already closed.
"We are in one bad situation." noted Kevin.
He sure hoped that he didn't have to go to the New York Police Station.
What would his parents think? And what would Uncle Frank think?
Suddenly, Matilda had an idea.
"Maybe we can use that Angels with Filthier Souls movie to get ourselves out of this." suggested the girl.
It worked when Marv Merchants was at Kevin's doorstep last year, checking to see if the house was empty and ready for pillaging.
"You seemed upset when we tried that with the pizza man." remarked the boy. It made him feel a bit guilty whenever his family ordered pizza...which happened fairly often.
"Well, this time things are different." answered Matilda.
And to be honest, she wasn't fond of the concierge. He was being unreasonable in her book.
"Can I do the honors this time?" asked the brunette.
"Sure, why not." answered the boy.
The two of them hid as the concierge and the staff made their way into their hotel room.
"You'd think that those two would pick a better hiding spot." remarked Mr. Hector.
His staff shrugged.
"Hold it right there!" exclaimed Johnny.
The staff froze in their tracks.
"This is the concierge, sir!" explained the concierge.
"I knew it was you. I could smell ya getting off the elevator." noted the man in black and white.
"Do I really smell that bad?" asked Mr. Hector.
His employees shrugged. He smelled fine to them.
"You were smooching with my brother last night, weren't you?" asked Johnny Valentine.
Mr. Hector remembered what had happened last night.
It seemed this was Kevin and Matilda McAllister's uncle.
It actually wasn't too surprising the two of them would be related. They were both total clowns. Though in Johnny's case he was basically a monster clown.
"What? No, I wasn't!" exclaimed the concierge.
"Don't be ridiculous. You've been smooching with everybody!" bellowed the gangster.
"I'm afraid you're mistaken." explained the man with a striking resemblance to Tim Curry.
"You've been smooching with Al, Leo, Snuffy, Cheeks, Bony Bob...Cliff..." spoke Johnny.
As it turned out, one of the staff members was named Cliff.
The other staff members looked at him accusingly.
"No no no. I haven't done that." noted Cliff.
Though Mr. Hector was admittedly attractive.
"I can go on forever, baby!" exclaimed Johnny.
"We're looking for a young man and woman." explained Mr. Hector.
Those two weren't escaping on his watch.
"Alright, I believe you. But my Tommy gun don't!" exclaimed Johnny.
"Tommy what?!" bellowed the concierge.
"Get down on your knees and tell me you love me..." demanded the insane man.
It wasn't the best idea to argue with a man who had a gun in his hand.
So the concierge decided to do as Johnny demanded.
"I love you!" exclaimed Mr. Hector, doing exactly as asked.
"You got to do better than that." instructed the gangster.
This time, the rest of the staff joined him.
"Maybe I'm off my hinges, but I believe you." noted the man.
Personally, Matilda thought Johnny was DEFINITELY off his hinges.
"That's why I'm going to let you go." assured Johnny.
The concierge and everyone with him were happy to hear that.
"I'm going to give you the count of three to get your lousy, lyin', four-flushin out my door!" bellowed the dangerous man.
The concierge and the staff panicked and ran out of the room.
"One, two, three!" exclaimed the man before shooting.
As before, Johnny laughed like a maniac as he fired his gun.
The other guests at the hotel wondered what exactly was going on.
"Merry Christmas, you filthy animal." mouthed Kevin.
"And a happy new year!" mouthed Matilda.
"This is an emergency! Everyone stay in your rooms! There is a deranged guest with a gun!" warned the concierge, who was crawling around.
Meanwhile, back in Chicago, the pizza man who Kevin had scared last year suddenly felt a strange sense of deja vu.
Back in New York, Mr. Hector was starting to reconsider running the hotel.
Who knew when he would get another guest like Johnny?
Perhaps he should consider getting a metal detector. Like the ones that they had at the airport.
"How long do you think it will be until they find out our ruse?" asked Matilda.
"Probably never." answered Kevin.
"We can only hope." noted the girl.
At this point, they had probably forgotten all about their credit card fraud. They had bigger things to attend to...like Johnny and his Thompson gun, which might as well be a weapon of mass destruction.
"Well, just in case, we should probably go in separate directions to make it harder for them to find both of us." noted the girl.
The boy nodded. That seemed like a good idea.
Unfortunately, when Kevin used the emergency exit...
...he ended up being caught by the Wet Bandits.
"Oh no..." remarked Kevin to himself.
"We've been looking for you!" exclaimed Harry.
Kevin wondered how he was going to get out of this one.
To make matters worse, Harry destroyed his ticket back home.
"You won't be needing this, little fella." remarked Lyme.
Not when he was going to Heaven.
Unfortunately, Kevin didn't have a fancy video to scare them off like he did at the hotel.
It looked as if he needed Matilda's help.
"Just in case you try to scream like you did before, you should know that I happen to have a gun." noted Harry.
Kevin gulped.
He didn't like the sound of that.
"Wait, where did you get a gun?" asked the young boy.
"During the prison riot in which both Marv and myself escaped, there was a guard sleeping." explained Harry.
"There was a guard sleeping during the riot?" asked Kevin.
"I know. He must have been a heavy sleeper." remarked the short man.
"Ooh! Can we tell him about our operation tonight?" asked Marv.
"This city has ears, you know." warned Harry. He didn't want to get busted again.
"But it's so exciting! We're going to hit Duncan's toy chest at midnight!" exclaimed Harry's partner.
The short-tempered man rolled his eyes.
Kevin's eyes widened in shock.
They were going to rob the toy store? The one that donated money to children?
This was a new low.
"It's five floors of cash!" cheered Marv.
"Let's just get him to the subway tunnel." said Harry.
Matilda spotted the two making off with Kevin.
She silently gasped. They couldn't have good intentions for the boy.
Fortunately, it seemed that her powers had returned to her.
She used her powers to whack Marv on the head with the donation bin he had pilfered from earlier.
"Ow!" exclaimed the man, clutching the back of his head.
"What happened?" asked Harry.
"Something hit me!" bellowed Marv.
Kevin seized his chance to make a run for it.
"Get back here!" bellowed Harry.
Unluckily for him, he tripped over a pigeon that was on the sidewalk.
"Aah! I twisted my ankle!" bellowed Harry.
"I've been looking for you." noted the pigeon lady.
The pigeon happily returned to her.
Unfortunately for the duo, Kevin had escaped again.
And to make matters worse, the young boy knew about their plans. Much like he knew about their intentions to rob his house last year. He was a smart kid. Probably smarter than Marv, anyway.
Harry stamped his foot on the ground in frustration.
"Can't something go right for us for a change?" asked the man.
"Excuse me, I happen to know about your scheme to rob the Duncan's Toy Chest." explained Mr. Wormwood.
"If you're planning to squeal on us, you should know I have a gun." warned the other Harry.
Oh, and it was loaded too.
He had warned Kevin a few minutes ago...before he made a run for it.
"I'm not here to turn you in. I'm here to help." answered Matilda's father.
"What?!" exclaimed Marv.
That was a pleasant surprise.
"That's nice and all...but how can you help us?" asked Harry.
"I have this." answered Matilda's dad.
He showed the two crooks the key to the store.
"Where'd you get that?" asked Harry Lyme.
"I used to work at the store..." noted Mr. Wormwood.
"Then what happened?" asked Marv.
"I got fired." explained Matilda's father.
Duncan didn't like the way that he treated children.
"So, you're looking for revenge?" asked Harry Lyme.
Mr. Wormwood nodded.
The prospect was thrilling to him. Nobody fired him and got away with it.
That, and he wanted the money that was for charity.
He would put it to good use.
Harry Lyme shook his hands with Mr. Wormwood.
He was going to split the profits between himself and Marv at first...
...but considering how helpful Wormwood was, he decided that he would split it three ways.
Oddly enough, Mr. Wormwood wasn't trying to scam Harry Lyme and Marv, like he did with all the people that had lined up to purchase cars from him.
It seemed that he had found kindred spirits.
Well, that and he figured they would whack him on the head with crowbars if he tried.
"So...what are you going to do after you've robbed the toy chest?" asked Mr. Wormwood.
"We were planning to go to Rio." noted Harry Lyme.
"That would be a nice vacation spot." noted Harry Wormwood.
And knowing Zinnia, she wouldn't ask where he had gotten the money to pay for the vacation from.
Meanwhile...
"They're going to steal charity money? They've really gone too far this time." noted Matilda.
"We have to stop them!" exclaimed Kevin.
"Way ahead of ya. Do we use traps like last time?" asked the girl. That worked pretty well last year...though they had run out of them last year as well.
"I would imagine so. We just need to find a place to set them." noted the boy.
Matilda nodded in agreement.
Perhaps they could use Rob's house.
It was located near the toy chest.
Chances are there were things they could use to set up traps.
"We have until midnight." explained Kevin.
"Gee, you really think we can stay up that late?" asked Matilda.
"I found Pepsi in the house. Maybe that will help?" questioned the boy.
The young girl nodded. Thank goodness for caffeine, huh?
Kevin and Matilda noticed the sun was beginning to set.
It was pleasant to watch.
The two were currently on the roof.
They could only hope for the best.
A short while later...
Unfortunately, Michael couldn't find his father.
It was now dark inside.
He felt like he was in a haunted house.
New York City was surprisingly scary at night.
Two ladies asked him if he wanted them to read a bedtime story to him.
He got the feeling they didn't mean that literally.
Even the taxi driver he found looked scary.
He sure hoped that he could find his dad soon.
Suddenly, he got his foot stuck between two rocks.
And to make matters worse, a scary lady with pigeons was approaching him.
"Aaaahhhh!" exclaimed Michael.
But much to his surprise, the lady pulled his leg out.
"Huh. You're actually the least scary person I've met tonight." noted the boy.
"May I ask what you're doing out here by yourself?" asked the Pigeon Lady.
"I'm looking for my dad." explained Michael.
The Pigeon Lady took Michael to a concert.
"He must be neglectful if he's letting you roam the city by yourself." noted the lady.
"I guess he kind of is." answered Michael.
"I hope he finds you soon." remarked the lady.
"May I ask you why you hang out with pigeons?" asked the boy.
"They're the only people I trust these days...at least until I met you." answered the woman.
"I find that ironic...people don't trust my dad these days." noted Michael.
"Why?" asked the pigeon lady.
"They're worried he might scam them out of their money." remarked the boy.
"Let me tell you something. Money won't buy you happiness." informed the pigeon lady.
"Huh. I guess my dad was wrong." noted Michael.
Perhaps he shouldn't try to imitate his father.
The two of them decided to watch the concert.
It was pretty good.
Perhaps if he waited here, his dad would find him.
It was a cheerful thought.
Uh-oh! It looks like Mr. Wormwood has made an alliance with Harry and Marv!
Saving Duncan's toy chest just got more complicated.
Still, we can only hope Kevin and Matilda can stop them from making off with the charity money...right?
Maybe if I make a Matilda Alone 3 I could include Johnny somehow. I wonder what the third movie would be called.
I wouldn't have as much source material to work with though.
As a side note, did you know that Donald Trump was in Home Alone 2?
I've decided not to feature him in this fanfic. He's been banned from Twitter!
