Chapter 2: Hiryu's Christmas

Hey howdy hey hello, welcome to the show! Enigma's (finally) back with the second part of this Christmas special.

Now you may be thinking: "Enigma, I thought this was supposed to go up on Christmas, what happened?"

And to that I posit: ...what are you talking about? It's Christmas 30th.

Enjoy!

Feel free to review, but don't just rip into me. I'm doing this for fun, not excessive criticism.

It was still early on Christmas morning, Hiryu had been woken up by someone pounding on her door. Peeking her head out, she saw Ashido standing in the hallway outside, in her pajamas.

"Come on, Hiryu!" She told her, before rushing off to the stairs.

"Ah, uh…" Hiryu hurried to get dressed, running down the stairs after Ashido.

Everyone was hanging around on the first floor, with the exception of Bakugo. Some of them were even still in their pajamas.

"Hey, Hiryu! Merry Christmas!" Kirishima waved, grinning.

"Oh, um… you too!" Hiryu smiled, rushing over to him, "Wh-What's going on?"

"Ashido wanted everyone to wake up together and get their gifts." Kirishima explained.

"And she's taking forever!" Moxie groaned, sitting upside down on the couch, his legs hanging over the back. Unlike Kirishima, Moxie was clad in dark green pajamas, with little white bunny slippers.

"I'm working on it! Bakugo will be here soon!" Ashido shot back angrily.

"I-I'm just happy to be involved…" Hiryu admitted quietly, "This is my first Christmas with friends…"

"Then we'll make it your best Christmas ever!" Kirishima gave her a thumbs up.

"Yeah! It snowed a ton; we can have fun outside later!" Sero agreed.

"Alright, I'm up! Let's get this sh#t over with!" Bakugo yelled, stomping down the stairs.

"Perfect! Hiryu, you can start!" Ashido handed Hiryu a gift, "It's from Kirishima, so he can have your gift to him!" She smiled, handing Kirishima a gift.

Kirishima's gifts was very neatly wrapped in light blue wrapping paper, with a navy blue bow on top. He paused for a minute before carefully unwrapping it, not wanting to ruin Hiryu's neat wrapping job.

Kirishima's gift to Hiryu wasn't nearly as neatly wrapped, sloppily put together in striped, red wrapping paper. It seemed like Kirishima had tried his best though, and Hiryu took care while unwrapping it.

Hiryu smiled when she saw what Kirishima's present was, it turned out to be a beautiful diamond necklace, whereas her present to him…

"A wad of cash?" Kirishima held up the thick stack of bills, as Hiryu put the necklace on.

"I-I didn't want to accidentally get someone something they would want, so I just… gave everyone the cash to buy their own gifts." Hiryu explained quietly, tapping her fingers together.

"Why bother wrapping it, then?" Kaminari asked, leaning on the back of the couch and scratching his forehead.

"I-I just like wrapping the presents, okay?!" Hiryu raised her voice indignantly, a bright red blush on her cheeks.

"Alright, alright…" Kaminari held his hands up defensively.

Later

After breakfast, cinnamon rolls made by Moxie, who left the kitchen a disaster zone but at least the food tasted good, the class got all bundled up and funneled outside to play in the fresh zone. It came up to their knees, and hadn't even been walked in yet.

It took a whole two minutes for Moxie to hit Bakugo in the head with a snowball, kicking off a massive snowball fight, but Sero and Ashido pulled Hiryu off to go sledding instead.

"I-I'm not sure about this." Hiryu admitted, peering nervously down the hill.

"It'll be fine! You can just stick your wings out like a parachute if you're gonna crash!" Ashido explained, holding her arms out to either side.

"I'm sure you'll be okay." Sero gave Hiryu a reassuring smile, pushing her down the hill.

Hiryu screamed as she rocketed down the hill, racing through the snow, before slamming face first into a tree. Ashido and Sero panicked and rushed down the hill, Ashido briefly falling over in the snow along the way.

Hiryu, partially buried in the snow, was splayed out on the ground in a bit of a daze.

"I don't think I want to go sledding anymore…" She groaned, a nasty red mark on her forehead.

"Ooh, yeah… that's gonna bruise." Sero hissed in sympathy, helping her up, "Sorry about that."

"I-It's alright." Hiryu sighed, lightly breathing on her hand to create a block of ice, holding it to her head, "It was fun! W-Well, before I hit the tree…"

"Maybe let's try making a snowman next instead." Ashido suggested, "That's much easier."

"That sounds nice!" Hiryu smiled, as threatening yells from Bakugo echoed over the hill.

Well, what'd yah think?

I'm honestly behind schedule on my projects and trying to catch back up, which is why this took so long.

Happy Holidays, y'all.

Enigma, signing off.
