Every hundred years, a comet appears in the skies above the Mushroom Kingdom. The comet was so large one year, it filled the skies and sent countless shooting stars raining down. The Toads brought the shooting stars to the castle, where they became a great Power Star. It should have been a very happy time for the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. That was the night of the Star Festival, held once every hundred years to celebrate the comet.

"Breaking news! Tonight is the night of the Star Festival. The comet had arrived at the Mushroom Kingdom and everyone in Toad Town has set up for the festival. You have ferris wheels, a rollercoaster, booths, and what have you. Also there are shooting stars flying everywhere in the Kingdom, so be on the lookout for-"
"Lisa, look out!" The camera man shouted.
"Huh?" Lisa turned her head, only to get beaned in the head by a shooting star. "Ooof!" She winced as several Star Bits shot out and bounced around on the ground. "Mmph…" She rubbed her head and looked back at the camera. "Clearly, you need to watch your head tonight. This is Lisa Lavender, signing o-" Another shooting star beaned her on the head. "OW!"
At Peach's Castle…
"Hmm, it's pretty out tonight." Peach smiled, looking out from her balcony.
"It sure is!" A Toad guard said with a nod. "Aaah, these shooting stars are just magical."
"I think I just saw a few land on that news reporter." Another said.
Peach giggled. "Well, at least everyone is enjoying themselves." She said and then looked over to the Luma. "To think it's been a week and we haven't found your mama yet."
The Luma shook its body. "It's okay. My mama is still up there. I know I'll reunite with her." He said and looked up toward the comet. "In fact, my mama is up in that comet."
Peach giggled again. "Such a wonderful imagination." She said and then thought of something. "Hmm, I wonder what they would think…" She then walked off to her room and grabbed a letter.
"Dear Mario and Luigi, I'll be waiting for you at the castle of the night of the Star Festival. There's something I would like to give you. From, Peach!
PS: Bring your friends!"
Peach happily walked over to the balcony after folding it like a paper airplane as she then threw It out of the balcony. "And now, we wait." She smiled.
At Toad Town…
"Ramen! Get your Star Festival Ramen here!" Min Min would call out as a few Toads would happily come over and ate some of her famous ramen. A few blocks down, Umber would be making some Malasadas at his own food stand.
"Here you go, one giant plate of Malasada." He said, watching Hau drool at the sight.
"Come to papa~!" He grinned, rubbing his hands together and happily eating it. Lillie and Guzma were also with him and casually eating their malasadas.
"Goodness gracious kid, slow down…" Guzma said.
"Oh let him enjoy it." Lillie giggled.
"Hmm…" Umber would be looking at the Star Bits bouncing around on the ground. "Possibilities…"
"What, those things?" Guzma said. "They're on the ground. They're not good."
"Ah, you don't know that. Just think of the culinary possibilities with those things!"
"They're on the ground."
"Yeah, but they're bouncing. Five second rule."
"Kid, I don't think there is a five second rule if it came from space… or if it's bouncing!"
"Oh, don't be such a grump." Lillie said. "I'm sure you can try it."
"Two to one big guy." Umber smirked.
"Oh yeah? Hey Hau. You with me on this or what?"
"Hmm… could you put those things on a Malasada?"
"OH COME ON!" Guzma yelled, causing both Lillie and Umber to snicker. "If I have to die alone on this hill, then so be it!"
"Wooooow!" Some Toad kids looked amazed as they were at the town fountain, where Dorothea was busy juggling fireballs as she then tossed them up in the air where Byleth jumped up and slashed through the fireballs before landing on the ground as small embers rained down on them. "Wow, that was so cool!" A Toad kid grinned, his eyes sparkling.
Dorothea giggled. "See Byleth? Told you they would enjoy it." She said with a wink.
"I stand corrected." Byleth let out a chuckle.
"Hey guys, look! There's a fight going on!" A Toad called out as Ruby was standing on one side and Hiyoko was standing in front of her. Pit was standing in the middle and raised his arm up in the air.
"Alright… begin!" He said as Ruby and Hiyoko lunged at each other as Ruby slashed at her with her scythe, but Hiyoko would block with her tessans as she quickly delivered a few kicks over to Ruby, knocking her back a few feet. Ruby would activate her Rose Palm and fired a charged blast of wind at Hiyoko, sending her back a few feet as Ruby quickly used her semblance to get closer to her and slashed at her but Hiyoko would block again, where she would then sweep kick at Ruby to knock her off her feet as she would then swing her tessans at her to send her back, then lunged and delivered a solid punch to her.
Ruby quickly aimed her scythe at Hiyoko and shot her but she was able to quickly reflect the bullets with her tessans as she then ran over, gracefully avoiding the attacks as she grabbed Ruby's arm and flipped her on the ground, then pointed her tessans at Ruby with a smirk. "Point, Hiyoko!" Pit said.
"Wow, you're pretty good with those."
"I'm not the Ultimate Traditional Dancer for nothing." Hiyoko winked as she helped Ruby up as the two started another round of each other sparring.
"Those two sparring?" Blake asked as she approached Pit.
"Yeah, Hiyoko wanted to know Ruby's fighting style." Pit replied. "Not to mention Ruby was curious how she fought as well, sooooo, here we are."
"Huh, I never thought I'd see dancing as a fighting move." Blake said, watching Hiyoko do a jumping kick at Ruby.
"No kidding." Pit agreed as Ruby went down again. "Point: Hiyoko!"
Ruby shook her head. "Man, you're good with those moves!"
"I've incorporated my talent in my fighting style." Hiyoko said with a grin. "Now come on! I doubt that's all you have in you!"
"I'm just getting started!" Ruby said as she lunged at Hiyoko.
"Oooh, a Lemonade Stand. Sweet!" Yang said as she walked over to the stand.
"Hello there Yang." A Koopa greeted. "What can I get for ya? You want the regular or do you want pink lemonade?"
"I'll take the pink."
"Coming right up!"
Yang happened to notice a sign near the lemonade. "Hey, what's Hard Lemonade?"
"Oh that? That's basically lemonade… with an extra kick."
"An extra kick, eh?" Yang mused. Hmm, probably just an extra squirt of lemon juice. She thought to herself. "Hit me up with that!"
"You got it!" He said as he soon handed her the lemonade.
"Thank you~!" Yang smiled as she took a sip. "Oh… oh wow! That does have a kick to it!" She said as she happily drank it.
"Come on, you got this." Weiss told herself, throwing a ping pong ball toward bottles of war. "Come on… come on!" She said as the ball bounced over and landed on the bottle. "YES!" She fist pumped, but then it bounced out. "Oh come on!"
"Sorry Weiss, tough luck." A Toad shrugged it off.
"Oh… lousy good for nothin'…" Weiss grumbled as she walked off.
"HIYAH!" Daisy swung the hammer down at a booth, where it struck the bell as it dinged.
"We have a winner! …To no one's surprise." A Toad chuckled as Daisy let out a giggle and walked off as Gloria had a turn and swung it down, where the meter went half way before falling back down.
"Oh come on, I'm stronger than that!"
"Strongman, eh? Well, don't mind if I do." Travis said as he grabbed a hold of the hammer and swung down, where it went just a bit higher than Gloria before falling down. "Heh, not bad." He said as he walked off as a Shroob walked over and picked up the hammer as he raised it high in the air… and then it fell back, making the Shroob go with it.
"Oh!" The Toad winced as the Shroob struggled to get it going. "Maybe we oughta try a different hammer for you."
Ilia took a deep breath, looking directly at the target before her. "Here we go. Mama needs a prize for her girl." She said as she threw the skee ball where it hit the ramp and hit the 100 marker, going inside. "That did it… HOLY CRAP, IT WENT IN! YES!" Ilia cheered.
"Here's your prizes!" A Shy Guy said, handing a stuffed teddy bear and a stuffed Kecleon.
"Thank you!" Ilia smiled and walked off, unfortunately she wasn't looking where she was going. "Mercie, I have a bear for you! …Mercie? Where are you?" She asked.
"Yaaaah! Die you blue ducks!" Sarge yelled, shooting at the ducks as they immediately fell over.
"Winner!" A Shy Guy said and handed over a blue teddy bear.
"…Uh… got it in red?" Sarge asked.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, how did that battle go between you and Blue Team?"
"Oh, it was a battle to the death alright!"
"Who won?"
"I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you." He said threateningly, causing the Shy Guy to sweatdrop. "Aw, I'm just kiddin'! We're keeping it a secret until the time is right!" He said as he walked off.
"Ooookay then." He said as Church walked up. "Alright, take a swing."
"You got it." He said as he started shooting, but didn't hit a single one. "Agh! Stupid cross breezes! Dammit! These things are too fast!"
"These are slow moving duck targets."
"Bullshit! They're deceptively fast!"
"Alright, here are your darts. Go wild!" A Toad said.
"Thank you." Sonic smirked, quickly throwing darts out in quick succession from a bucket. Unfortunately, he didn't pop a single balloon as he hit literally everything else, including a Toad's cap. "Heh… maybe I need to work on my aim."
"YA THINK?!" The Toad yelled, when suddenly a bell hit him on the head. "OOOF!" He yelped as Sonic turned around and saw Nora at the strongman booth.
"Sorry, my bad!" She called out while Ren was facepalming and Jaune and Pyrrha were grimacing.
"Woooow! I never knew ferris wheels could be so cool!" Penny's eyes sparkled as she was up top. "I can see everything from up here!" She grinned.
Weiss walked along the festival, watching the shooting stars land on the ground. "Ah, peace and quiet…" She smiled.
"Okay, I'm cutting you off!" A voice said as Weiss turned her head and saw a Koopa pushing Yang back. "You had enough of this already. Three is one thing but FOUR?! It's too much Yang!"
"Aww… pah-rty pooper…" Yang drunkenly said as Weiss walked over.
"Yang… what did you do?" Weiss asked as Yang turned around, looking absolutely plastered. "WHY ARE YOU DRUNK?!"
"Haaaah… hiiii Weiiiiizzz! I'm feelin' fhantaaazztic… hehehehe…"
"What did you drink…"
"H-Hahrd Lemonade…"
"Hard Lemonade… WHY?!"
"I thought Ha-hard Lemon-hic-ade was ju-hust an hextra squart of Leeemon…"
"THAT'S NOT WHAT HARD LEMONADE MEANS, YOU DRUNKEN DOLT!" A flustered Weiss yelled while flailing her arms.
"Hey guys." A voice said as Weiss and Yang turned to the Bros, Tai, Qrow and Zwei walked over to them.
"Hey…"
"Haaaah… hi daddy… hiii drunkle Qrow~!" Yang drunkenly waved.
"Yang, are you okay?" Luigi asked.
"I'm high as a khite, thank you for hasking, Loofey…"
"Loofey?!"
"Dammit Yang…" Tai sighed. "How much alcohol did you drink this time?"
"It's not alcohol if it's laminade~" Yang drunkenly giggled.
"Hard Lemonade. Four glasses." Weiss said.
"Pffft, amateur. I can drink more than that." Qrow smirked.
Tai let out a sigh. "Well, I know how to get her out of that funk." He said as he walked over and pounded her on the head.
"Owie… whut was zat fhor, daddy-o…?" Yang drunkenly asked.
"Huh, that usually works." Tai said, scratching his head.
"Yeah, on Raven." Qrow said. "I don't think it'd work the same way on firecracker here."
Mario sweatdropped. "Mama mia…" He said. "So, you guys having a great time?"
"Yeah, we are." Weiss nodded with a smile. "Everyone's having a great time."
"That's wonderful!" Mario smiled. "Peach had just invited us over to the castle. You want to come with?"
"Of course! Let me just find Blake and Ruby." Weiss said.
"Ooooh looooook, Bowsher's Airshots…" Yang said.
"Bowser?!" A Toad exclaimed in horror as he walked by.
"Don't mind her, she's just seeing things." Weiss reassured. "She's drunk."
"Oooooh, got ya. Phew!" The Toad wiped his head as he walked off.
"No… really, Bowsher's Airshots are choming~"
"Alright you, let's get you sat down on a bench. Bowser's airships aren't coming over to destroy things."

"Wah!" Weiss yelped as she looked over and saw things exploding. "OH SON OF A-"
BGM: Attack of the Airships (Super Mario Galaxy)
Airships flew toward Toad Town, all of them firing directly at the townsfolk and destroying everything in sight. The townsfolk were quickly running around in a panic trying to avoid the cannon shots, but some reason, some of them were getting encased in crystals. Some of the heroes looked up to see the airships flying in, some of them were still firing at them.
Amist the chaos, Peach was looking on while grimacing. Why of all days did Bowser decide to attack now of all times? She looked up and saw an airship flying directly toward her before it came to a gentle stop as Bowser walked forward to the bow of the ship. "Princess Peach!" Bowser roared. "You are formally invited… to the creation of my new galaxy!"
New galaxy? Peach wondered, holding on to the Luma as best she could while the Toad guards were hiding behind her in terror.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!" Bowser roared as he raised his arms up in the air, suddenly summoning electricity. "THIS FESTIVAL'S OVER!" He roared as suddenly a UFO appeared from the clouds. All of them looking on in shock and horror.

BGM: Bowser Jr's Airship Armada (Super Mario Galaxy)
Peach let out a scowl. "Alright Bowser, I demand answers! For one, what was with that electric show. Two, what is with the UFO and THREE: What do you mean by new galaxy? What is going on here?!"
"OHOHOHOHOHOHO!" A voice cackled as suddenly Eggman's flying machine came flying in.
"You?!"
"You see, my dear… we've been busy this past week and we are going to take you to our new galaxy!" Eggman said.
"Well, try as you like, I'm not going to this fancy new galaxy of yours! You're gonna have to take me by force!" She reached for her Pokeballs and her golf clubs.
"What do you think the UFO is for?" Roman asked as he walked forward.
"You're gonna abduct me with that thing?"
"Well, you're half right!" Roman chuckled.
"What are you-" Peach's eyes widened, immediately looking down on the ground surrounding her castle. "No!" She growled. "Cease this at once!"
"My dear, either you come quietly or Toad Town ceases to exist." Eggman smirked, causing Peach to stiffen.
"You wouldn't."
"Oh, we would." He smirked, causing Peach to hesitate. "That's a good girl." He then pulled out a walkie talkie. "You may fire when ready!"
Back at Toad Town…
"Is everyone okay?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, we're okay… most of us." Weiss said, referring to Yang who was still drunk.
"Maaaan, look at all these colorful explosions~!" Yang drunkenly smiled with a giggle.
"Not again…" Ruby groaned.
"ALRIGHT, I'M GONNA HAVE A BONE OR TWO TO PICK WITH THAT FOCKIN' LIZARD!" Gloria yelled as she cracked her knuckles.
"Gloria, where are the others?" Luigi asked.
"Covered in fockin' crystal!" She said. "We were 'avin' ramen at Min Min's when that happened!"
"Aaaaagh!" A voice cried out as they saw Hiyoko looking peeved. "Why do I always get stuck in these bullshit 'Wrong place, wrong time' moments?! Aaaagh! I was having fun until that overgrown lizard attacked! That's it, I'm gonna clobber that asshole!"
"Get in line. Let's go!" Weiss said as they took off running with Penny emerging from the wrecked ferris wheel and seeing everyone run off.
"Wait for me!" Penny said as she flew off, where the Reds, Blues and Carolina also joined them, along with Byleth, Dorothea, Ilia, Mercedes, Travis, Pit, JNPR, Tai, Qrow, Zwei, Daisy and Sonic also joined the group as they ran over to Peach's Castle where Peach immediately spotted them.
"GUYS! OVER HERE!" Peach waved over to them.
"EGGMAN!" Sonic would yell as they got closer.
"Heh, for once, my blue nemesis, you're too late!" Eggman smirked.
"FIRE!" Bowser yelled.

The UFO started lighting up before firing directly at the castle, spinning its lasers around the area of the castle, making a sudden jerk that caused everyone to stumble.
BGM: Catastrophe (Super Mario Galaxy)
The airships threw down chains on the ground where they started pulling on the ground and started to lift the castle off of the ground where it slowly rose from the ground before they were all lifted up to space. Everyone was groaning as they tried to rise from the ground once they were in orbit. "Ugh… everyone okay?" Luigi asked.
"Yeah… we're okay…" Ruby winced. "Where are we?"
"Spaaaaaaaaace~!" Yang sang happily. "Space, space, I love spaaaaaace~!"
"WHAT?!" Weiss yelled as they started looking around to see that they were indeed in outer space.
"Spaaaaaace~!"
"How can you be so cheerful when you're drunk?!" Weiss yelled.

"Guys! Over here!" Peach waved them over as they slowly rose to their feet, and then suddenly Kamek came flying over cackling.
BGM: Peach's Castle is Stolen (Super Mario Galaxy)
"Nyeheheheheh!"
"Kamek!" Blake exclaimed.
"So long, enjoy your flight!" Kamek said, conjuring up a massive magical spell and hurled them at the group with blinding speed as they had no time to react as they were all launched into the depths of space, all of them screaming. …Well, most of them.
"Wahoooo~!" Yang cheered.
"Weeee!" Caboose cheered.
"NOOOOOO!" Peach yelled as Kamek laughed and disappeared while the Luma broke free of Peach's grasp and flew off after the heroes right as Peach's Castle was taken away.

At Skyworld…
"Pit? Pit!" Palutena tried to call out to him but couldn't reach him. "Pit! Do you copy? Pit!" She said before clenching her fists. "…Bowser'll pay for this…" She growled as she grabbed her staff and took off running, enveloping herself in light before disappearing.
Back at Toad Town, or what's left of it…
Steve and Alex had just walked into town and saw what was left of the destruction, and then noticed the crystallized townsfolk. Both of them looked at each other and with a nod, they brought out their diamond pickaxes and walked toward the chaos, both of them were quick to free the prisoners. "Woo! I'm never doubting my horoscope again!" A Toad said.
"FREEDOOOOOM!" Another Toad yelled.
"Wah! What was that about…?" Min Min wondered as Steve finished freeing the others and then went toward the others.
"Oh good, my ramen's been spared!" Hop smiled and happily ate it.
"Where's Gloria?" Bede wondered.
"Um… I think she ran off somewhe- HOLY CRAP!" Marnie yelled. "Where's the castle?!"
"Huh?" Hop said as he was slurping his ramen. "Huh! Would you look at that. Eh, I'm sure Gloria'll be fine. She definitely owes us an adventure when she gets back though."
"Agreed." Bede said.
"How can you two be so calm about this?" Marnie sweatdropped.
"Whew, that was eventful..." Umber said.
"We'll go check things out!" Lillie said as she and Guzma went to check on the damages while Hau was left sulking as he walked off with the others.
"My poor malasada got destroyed in the chaos..."
At a downed airship…
"I told you we should have stopped for gas, but you didn't listen!" A Hammer Bro said.
"I know, I know… I thought we had enough fuel!" The Koopa said as he was filling up the tank. "Geez, you sound just like my mother…"
"What was that?!"
"Nothing!" He said as the ship roared to life. "Alright, we're good to go!"
"Hey guys? What's that over there?" A Goomba asked as they saw a figure approaching them.
"It looks like… Ruby." The Hammer Bro mused. "But… darker…? Strange, I didn't know she was going through a goth phase."
"GET OUT OF OUR WAY!" Dark Ruby yelled, quickly slashing them off the airship as she hopped aboard, then she whistled as several Beowolves hopped up on the ship, joined by a few Ursa and even a Beringel. "This is ours now!" She said as she flew off toward space.
"Oooogh… what did we do to deserve that…?" The Hammer Bro groaned.
Somewhere else near Toad Town...
"Man, Ibuki's sure glad she wasn't caught up in that mess!" Ibuki said as she walked out of the gas station with everything she needed. "Alrighty, now she has everything she needs to go to space to find Sonia-chan!" She grinned as she hopped on her hoverboard and strummed her guitar as she took off flying.
At Peach's Castle…
"You can't be serious…" Peach said as she stared at the new galaxy before her.
"You like it?" Bowser asked.
"…No."
"Well, get used to it. You're gonna be here for a while!" Bowser said.
"Hmph… this couldn't get any worse…" Peach grumbled.
"Why hello Peach." A voice said as Peach's eyes widened as she turned around to see Cinder approaching her.
"You!" Peach glared.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?" Cinder casually smiled. "How do you like your new reloca-"
SLAP!
"Oh!" Bowser winced.
"THAT was for the first time we've met!" Peach glared as Cinder held on to her cheek in surprise.
"You… HOW DARE YOU!" Cinder yelled, slapping Peach hard enough to send her crashing to the ground. "How dare you put your filthy peachy hands on me, you disgusting-"
"HEY!" Bowser got between the two. "Peach may be my prisoner, but you do not go and slap her however you'd like!"
"She's our prisoner. We can do what we want with her."
"Not on my watch." Bowser gave Cinder a cold hard glare. "Round Bot. Square Bot. Escort Peach to her room."
"We have names you know! It is Orbot and Cubot." Orbot said.
"Whatever, just take her there." Bowser ordered.
"Yes sir!" Cubot saluted as he and Orbot escorted Peach to her room where she opened up the door and walked inside, letting out an annoyed sigh as she looked out the window.
"Hmph… whatever, I know Mario and the others will come rescue me like always." She said, looking out into the unknown. "…I hope."
Woo! Galaxy! ...For the third time in my stories but who cares!
Y'all might be wondering why Steve won't be partaking in this story and was just moved to a cameo. Well, I was going to have him join the cast, but a friend pointed out that Steve would be COMPLETELY broken in zero gravity situations and most of the Power Stars would have been easily obtainable thanks to him just like that, so we went with Travis Touchdown instead. (Don't worry though, Steve'll be in the spotlight in another story!)
