Red Tiger, Red Wolf

Title: Red Tiger, Red Wolf
Rating: T
Fandom: One Punch Man; Detective Conan
Summary: Garou died in his fight against Superalloy Darkshine. But he didn't stay dead; instead, he was reborn into another world—one without powers—as Akai Mako. Despite having a new body, his mindset is still the same. He still hates heroes and wants to become the absolute evil. He'll take the world by a storm and become the symbol of fear.

At six years old, Masumi and Mako were both enrolled in first grade. Masumi was as excited and nervous as any other child while Mako despised the idea. Why should he be in school? He wasn't actually six. He was eighteen. Or was he technically twenty four? He wasn't going to waste his time in a classroom when he could be training.

On the first day of the new school year, Masumi and Mako were placed in the same homeroom. Mary and Shukichi dropped them off and the older brother definitely did not cry. Mary had to drag him off so he would actually leave the elementary school and attend his high school classes. Masumi happily waved as they left while Mako half-heartedly waved.

When the teacher took attendance, Mako was not present. "But Mako came here with me!" Masumi claimed when the teacher marked him absent.

The homeroom teacher and the deputy homeroom teacher exchanged a look. Parents did not drop off only one twin unless they called in ahead saying that one of their children were sick. There was also the fact that the desk assigned to him was filled with his school supplies, as if he had dumped out the contents of his backpack. That meant that Mako was missing. The pair of teachers began to desperately search around the classroom, thinking he had hidden in a closet or something. When they couldn't find him, they alerted the front office and the security.

For hours, the school staff searched around campus for him but not a single trace of him was found. The only proof that he had been at school that morning was his school supplies left in his desk as well as Masumi's testimony. Mary was alerted of her son's disappearance and by the time she arrived, it was lunch time.

"Mama?" Masumi tugged on her mother's pants leg.

"What is it, Masumi?" Mary asked in a slightly snapping tone. To be fair, she was extremely worried about her youngest child. "We're looking for your brother right now,"

"Mako's eating lunch," She pointed over to Mako's desk where the six year old was scarfing down his own meal.

"Mako!" Mary walked over to him. "Is it true that you wandered off?"

"Yeah," Mako finished eating most of his food.

"You're supposed to stay on campus!" Mary scolded. "What if you were kidnapped!?"

'Then I'd have a chance to test my current strength against them,' Mako thought. "I was training,"

"Training?" Mary grabbed Mako's hands. "Your knuckles are bleeding!"

"I'm fine," Mako claimed. "They'll heal up in no time," 'Although it's not as fast as it was in my other body, I still seem to heal faster than normal. The pain doesn't even bother me since I have a high pain tolerance,'

Unfortunately, that was not the last time Mako escaped school. Eventually, they managed to come into an agreement with Mako. Once he was done with the day's lessons, he could exercise within the teachers' view from the window. Mako immediately finished the assignments when he was given worksheets. The teachers couldn't even scold him because they were always neat and there were no mistakes.

While he was exercising during recess, Mako overheard some kids talking to Masumi. "Your brother's weird,"

"Mako isn't weird!" Masumi defended.

"He has no friends,"

"The only thing he does is exercise,"

"I bet you're a weirdo too!"

"Weird girl!"

Mako slammed his fist down onto a large rock—that was about the size of his head—in anger and it crumbled into several small pieces. 'I could care less about their comments about me,' He thought as he made his way over to them. 'But I hate bullies who gang up on a single kid!'

"Mako and I aren't weird!" Masumi yelled. "You guys are the weird ones!"

When one of the bullies was about to shove Masumi, Mako grabbed their wrist. "Knock it off," Although he was a child, his glare was fierce and intimidating. As much as it would have been way too easy to beat the kids up, even Mako had standards. These brats were still just kids so he decided to be a bit lenient and let them off with a glare.

"Mako was like a hero!" Masumi added after recounting the events to their mother when she picked them up from school.

Mako sneered. "I'm not a hero,"

He still hated heroes. He hated being called one. He wasn't going to be one. He was a monster, Garou the Monster.
